Framing a Temu Ghostie Print for the Spooky Bathroom. Handi Scandi 2024-10-08 | I am getting closer to being finished with my Halloween decor. I keep hitting emotional and physical walls that are slowing me down, but I am getting it done. I think I just need to call it done and stop tweaking, or it'll be Christmas and I'll still not be finished. For the spooky bathroom I needed to frame this sad little ghostie print in an existing frame and I'm sharing that process with you. Distress Resist Spray Inky Background Handi Scandi 2024-08-15 | In this video I use resist spray and a bunch of inky sprays to try my hand at the spooky skies technique that I first learned about from Amy R @PrairiePaperandInk. I have her playlist linked below. But, y'all, I cannot pull up a memory in my brain in which I use the Distress Resist Spray. I've used similar mediums from other companies, but this is my first time using the Distress Resist Spray. I can tell you that I have no clue what I'm doing with it, but I thought "what if", so here we are. I think I need to clean out the sprayer, because I got a stream and not a spray which created questionable results, but this was so fun! I "sopped" up the excess resist with both black and white mixed media card and used mica stains and spritzs on them, consecutively. The Distress Spritz absolutely shines on the black mixed media card. I wish the camera did the micas more justice. The mica stains on the white mixed media card is striking as well. A dear crafty friend said it is perfect for a creepy skull image...Yes! So that is waiting in the wings to be completed, but be sure, I'll show you when I get it finished. Dinas Sunflower Watercolored Two Ways Handi Scandi 2024-08-06 | Y'all, @iostamps had a new release last week, and in that release they rereleased the beautiful Sunflower image, designed by @dinakowalcreative The image was initially released as a red rubber stamp, which is vbveautiful, however IO is no longer producing/selling red rubber. I was so happy to see this image in photopolymer. It comes in a set with other images and sentiments. In celebration of the release I wanted to share the image with you, so I have painted it up with two different watercolor techniques.
