Coffee Date is the project of Evelyn Rivera, a composer and multi-instrumentalist known for her cozy lofi reimaginings of videogame music. Her unique sound evokes emotion through piano, violin and cello, guitar and ukulele, and her own vocals, all paired with thoughtful chillhop beats. Following her album Hyrule Café, a 22-track tribute to The Legend of Zelda, Coffee Date returns to the land of Hyrule with 17 new chilled-out arrangements.
From the series' beginnings on the Nintendo Entertainment System up through Tears of the Kingdom for Nintendo Switch, Hyrule Café 2 includes music from every chapter of Zelda history. The tracklist kicks off with new twists on iconic melodies, such as a Latin jazz-inspired take on "Song of Storms" from Ocarina of Time, and a cello-infused hip hop spin on "Dark World" from A Link to the Past. Hyrule Café 2 also includes NES classics "Underworld" and "Hyrule Temple" (featuring Dj Cutman), as well as deeper cuts like "Bamboo Island,” "Spirit Tracks,” and the theme from Tears of the Kingdom's emotional climax.
Featured composers include Hajime Wakai, Koji Kondo, Kozue Ishikawa, Yasuaki Iwata, Kenta Nagata, Toru Minegishi, Takeshi Hama, Akito Nakatsuka, and Manaka Kataoka.

Coffee Date puts her spin on the main theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl with the final single from her upcoming album, Wii Chill.
Coffee Date (real name Evelyn Rivera) is a composer and violinist currently based on the east coast. Fueled by nostalgia for the classics of the Wii era, Coffee Date’s remix of the theme from Super Smash Bros. Brawl marks the sixth and final single from her upcoming album Wii Chill.
Using booming subbasses, piano and violin chops, and dusty textures, “Brawl” transforms into a focused lofi hip hop beat. The theme was originally composed by Nobuo Uematsu, known by videogame music fans for his masterful work on the Final Fantasy series.
The full collection, Wii Chill, releases on July 19th!

He is joined by his brother @MikelTBE (creator of Zelda & Chill) as a featured artist on 3 songs in this a brand new Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Breath of the Wild concept album, Zelda’s Lofi Kingdom ▸http://vgm.fm/LofiKingdom
@jokabibeats is a German lofi hip hop producer whose distinct sound is inspired by his travels across the world. Known for his remixes of music from videogames and anime, as well as his own original compositions, Jokabi is the creator of GameChops' fan-favorite Chilltendo series. His latest, Zelda's Lofi Kingdom, is a 14-track collection of remixes dedicated to the latest installment in The Legend of Zelda series, Tears of the Kingdom.
The tracklist features familiar favorites from Breath of the Wild including "Great Fairy Fountain" and "Rito Village", as well as new instant-classics from Tears of the Kingdom, such as the title theme and "Colgera Battle" (featuring Mikel of Zelda & Chill fame). Using immersive and organic textures, percussion, and instrumentation, Jokabi elevates the music of the Breath of the Wild duology into a lush lofi experience. Zelda's Lofi Kingdom includes licensed compositions by Manaka Kataoka, Maasa Miyoshi, Masato Ohashi, Tsukasa Usui, Yasuaki Iwata, and Koji Kondo.

Jokabi writes:
“The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom was released on my birthday while I was traveling Japan for the first time. I was especially hyped about this game and it didn't take long for me to fall in love with it and its soundtrack.
What started off with just a few remix sketches ended up in a bigger project and eventually an album. Since the soundtracks in the game have a lot of woodwinds, I decided to add flute and wind elements to many of the tracks.
My trip through Japan had its influence on the production, and it was while traveling I decided to make a traditional Japanese folk music inspired remix of Fairy Fountain. Some of the flutes in the tracks are "Dadis" or "Shakuhachis" which are traditional bamboo flutes from China and Japan.
I thought it would be nice to have my brother Mikel feature a few tracks since he ended his Zelda & Chill series with his third album and I'm sure fans would be happy to hear his style represented in Zelda’s Lofi Kingdom.
The illustrator and animator Voyager Spirit is amazingly talented, and perfectly captured the essence of the music with his stunning artwork. It feels like everything fell into place perfectly.”
