Tesla introduces new “Standard” trim levels for the Model 3 and Model Y.
Model 3 Standard starts at $33,490, while Model Y Standard at $36,490.
Both models use rear-wheel drive with a single motor and smaller battery.
For all of Elon Musk’s grand talk over the past couple of years, Tesla’s much-touted affordable models have landed with more of a thud than a bang. As we anticipated after several leaks, the newcomer is essentially a heavily cost-cut version of the Model Y.
Even so, Tesla slipped in a small surprise with the introduction of a lower-priced Model 3, both now bundled under the newly introduced “Standard” trim name.
Alongside these launches, Tesla has reshuffled its trim lineup. Entry-level versions now carry the Standard name, while the mid-range Long Range models have been renamed Premium. The Performance flagship remains in place at the top of the hierarchy.
Lower Prices, Leaner Package.
The headline figure sets the tone: the Model 3 Standard starts at $33,490, which is $5,500 less than the previous base Long Range RWD. The Model Y Standard begins at $36,490, a $5,000 reduction compared with its RWD Premium equivalent. Both versions use a rear-wheel drive setup powered by a single electric motor and a smaller 69 kWh battery pack built with one fewer module than usual.
Starting with the Model Y Standard, the range sits at an EPA-estimated 321 miles, a dip from the 357 miles offered by the RWD Premium. Acceleration is slower too, hitting 60 mph (97 km/h) in 6.8 seconds with a rollout, versus the Premium’s 5.4-second run. Top speed remains unchanged at 125 mph.
Specs tell only half the story, though. Tesla has stripped away enough that the car now carries the faint aura of something you’d return to the airport after a weekend trip and immediately forget about.
The middle section of the lightbar has vanished, which isn’t exactly a tragedy. Some might even call it an improvement, if only by accident. The front bumper has been simplified too, with revised air inlets and lighting elements now integrated into the headlamps. Around the back, the Juniper’s trademark taillights drop their connecting center strip.
Elsewhere, new smaller 18-inch wheels come as standard, with a 19-inch option available. The simplified wheel covers might not win any style awards, but the extra tire sidewall should improve ride comfort. Color choices are limited to three: Stealth Grey as standard, plus Pearl White for $1,000 and Diamond Black for $1,500.
The biggest changes are found inside. The vegan leather seats have been swapped for textile inserts, and the center console now features a large open compartment reminiscent of the Cybertruck’s utilitarian layout.
Front seat ventilation and rear seat heating have been dropped, and rear passengers lose their 8-inch fun screen in favor of manual vents. The driver now gets a manually adjustable steering wheel instead of an electric one.
Look upward and you’ll spot the most obvious alteration. The Model Y Standard trades its see-through roof for a regular headliner with sound-absorbing material above it, something many Model Y owners have long wanted, albeit in the form of a retractable shade, not a full-on cover-up.
But appearances can be deceiving. The glass roof is actually still there, just hidden beneath the new headliner. Apparently, Tesla decided it was cheaper to keep the glass and cover it up than to design a proper metal roof.
We don’t have the full reasoning, but unless something’s gone completely over our heads, it’s hard not to wonder. If covering the glass doesn’t actually save money, why not just leave it alone, as they did with the Model 3 Standard as you’ll see below?
Everything else you love and hate with the Model Y experience is still here, including the 15.4-inch touchscreen that doubles as both instrument cluster and infotainment hub and the turning stalks.
Moving to the Model 3 Standard, the EPA estimates a 321-mile range, down from the RWD Premium’s 363 miles. The sedan sprints to 60 mph in 5.8 seconds with rollout and matches the same 125 mph top speed.
Visually, the exterior changes are subtler than on the Model Y. There wasn’t much to remove in the first place, so the main updates come from the smaller 18-inch wheels that promise a softer ride, with 19-inch wheels again optional. The same trio of exterior colors remains: standard grey, optional white, and black.
Inside, the cabin follows the same cost-cutting script as the Model Y Standard, with one key difference – the glass roof stays. Textile seats replace vegan leather, the steering wheel is manually adjustable, and the rear touchscreen is gone. However, for 2026, Tesla has reinstated the traditional turn signal stalks, so that’s something.

Aston Martin doesn't have to worry as not even Alexander Skarsgård can save this ad
It stars Alexander Skarsgård as our would-be secret agent.
It stars Alexander Skarsgård as our would-be secret agent.
The clip isn’t great, but the car offers up to 872 hp and 749 lb-ft.
Polestar recently unveiled the 5 at the Munich Motor Show, and it’s the brand’s coolest car since the 1. However, they’re marketing it in the cringiest way possible.
Instead of developing something fun and creative, they decided to crib from the James Bond playbook. If that wasn’t bad enough, they enlisted Alexander Skarsgård, and he appears to phone it in. The end result is a slog of an ad that somehow makes the car feel less special.
Without further ado, the ad starts in typical Bond meets Q fashion. Skarsgård stares at the car and is greeted by a younger man who asks if he needs assistance. Skarsgård calls the 5 magnificent and asks if it has been assigned to another agent.
“Not Q” is confused, but mentions some details before Skarsgård asks if the car turns invisible, as a not-so-subtle reference to the Aston Martin V12 Vanquish from Die Another Day.
This continues with the interior as Not Q mentions some features, before Skarsgård inquires about a flame thrower. It then showcases the digital rearview mirror as the 5 lacks a rear window.
The resulting clip is basically someone reading off a spec sheet, while bad acting tries to spice things up. Given that the ad falls flat, perhaps it’s not surprising the video was “produced entirely by Polestar’s in-house creative team.”
Regardless, the 5 is a lot more interesting than the video makes it out to be. The Porsche Taycan competitor rides on a bespoke platform and features a 112 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, which can be paired to one of two dual-motor AWD systems.
The entry-level variant produces an impressive 738 hp (550 kW / 748 PS) and 599 lb-ft (812 Nm) of torque. This enables the car to rocket from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds, before hitting a top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h). Drivers can also expect a WLTP range of up to 416 miles (670 km).
The Performance variant kicks things up a notch as it has 872 hp (650 kW / 884 PS) and 749 lb-ft (1,015 Nm) of torque. This lowers the 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) time to 3.2 seconds, but the range falls to 351 miles (565 km).
The car’s initial launch will be focused on 24 markets, but North America isn’t one of them. As a result, pricing and availability for the United States and Canada remain unclear.

Highlights include a larger infotainment, a sliding center armrest, and rear A/C vents.
Prices in India start from Rs 9.99 lakh ($11,300), cheaper than the four-door Thar Roxx.
Adventure seekers in India have yet another excuse to eye the Thar, especially if “eyeing” really means wanting a Jeep Wrangler vibe without the financial regret that comes with it. Mahindra has given its rugged off-roader a mid-lifecycle update, bringing a series of upgrades borrowed from the longer four-door Thar Roxx introduced last year.
While the two-door model keeps its familiar shape and sturdy underpinnings, the updates inside and out promise to make it a more rounded package.
Rather than fitting the redesigned grille and LED setup from the Thar Roxx, Mahindra has kept the standard Thar visually distinct. Even so, the seven-slot grille now gets a body-colored finish, pairing with a dual-tone front bumper and darker 18-inch alloy wheels.
The bodywork is carried over from the existing Thar, still looking like a Wrangler impersonator. The facelift brings two new options to the color palette, called Tango Red and Battleship Grey, while adding a rear washer and wiper.
The cabin receives the more noticeable upgrades. A 10.25-inch infotainment touchscreen, lifted from the Thar Roxx, replaces the smaller 7-inch unit and can now display off-road data in real time. Mahindra has also repositioned the power window switches to the door panels for easier access and fitted a sliding armrest between the front seats.
Rear passengers aren’t forgotten either. They now get their own climate vents and entry assist handles on the A-pillars, making the cabin easier to live with. Other updates include front and rear USB-C ports, a rearview camera, and a fuel-filler lid that can be released from inside the cabin.
The updated SUV rides on the same ladder-frame chassis as its predecessor, which is different from the Thar Roxx. Still, Mahindra has updated the suspension for improved comfort.
Powertrain options remain the same and include a 1.5-liter diesel with 117 hp (87.2 kW), a 2.2-liter diesel producing 130 hp (97 kW), and a 2.0-liter petrol unit delivering 150 hp (112 kW). Depending on the trim, the Thar sends power to the rear or all four wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed automatic gearbox.
And that leads us to pricing, which unsurprisingly, is the strongest selling point of the Jeep-inspired model. The entry-level Thar with RWD and a manual gearbox starts at Rs 9.99 lakh ($11,300) while the most expensive version with 4WD and an automatic is priced at Rs 16.99 lakh ($19,100).
That’s comfortably below the longer, four-door Thar Roxx, which sits between Rs 12.25 and 22.06 lakh ($13,800–24,900). As for anyone tempted by the real Jeep Wrangler, if you live in India and want to buy a genuine Jeep Wrangler, prepare your wallet for a workout, as the five-door Unlimited trim, the only version sold in India, starts at Rs 64.085 lakh ($72,200).

New exterior colors for the interior include "Cyber Gold" and "Xinghan Brown," offering users a wider range of customization options. The interior offers significantly improved texture and comfort. The entry-level model features leather-trimmed seats for the first time, while a leather steering wheel and gear lever are standard across the range, enhancing both tactile and refined quality. High-end comfort features like seat ventilation and heating are now available on more trim levels. New 64-color ambient lighting creates a distinct cabin atmosphere, and 50W wireless fast charging eliminates concerns about mobile device battery life.
The new 15.6-inch smart in-car entertainment system, powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon SA8155P automotive-grade chip, comes standard, significantly improving operation speed and smoothness. The vehicle's connectivity features have been fully upgraded, supporting CarPlay, HUAWEI HiCar 5.0, and ICCOA Carlink, offering both wireless and wired connection modes, and compatibility with leading smartphone brands.
In terms of smart interaction, the "Hello Xiaoyue" voice assistant offers dual-zone recognition, seamless speech, wake-up-free commands, visible-speech, and multiple intents per sentence. It provides full voice control of windows, air conditioning, navigation, music, Bluetooth calls, and more. It also offers practical features such as a driver's super account, intelligent online navigation, online audio and video entertainment such as QQ Music/Himalaya/Kugou, an app store, and car-to-home connectivity. Intelligent scene modes can be preset and customized for scenes such as refresh, rapid heating, and rapid cooling. The smart assistant integrates personal calendar navigation/search, healthcare, and other services. Users using the Fengyun Yuexiang vehicle connected system can receive real-time information about vehicle status, daily life, and shopping mall services. The in-car system supports OTA remote updates to ensure continuous functional optimization.
The new vehicle features a new transparent chassis function that works in conjunction with the PVM 360-degree panoramic viewing system to provide a 540-degree, uninterrupted view of the vehicle's surroundings, significantly improving parking and driving safety in challenging road conditions. Sound insulation has been comprehensively improved, and noise-reducing windshield and first- and second-row side windows are standard across all models. Additionally, water-repellent glass for the first-row side windows and privacy glass for the second and third rows are standard across all models, effectively blocking outside noise and glare, ensuring cabin quietness and privacy.
In terms of powertrains, the new vehicle maintains its hybrid powertrain setup. The 2.5-liter hybrid system, powered by fifth-generation THS technology, produces a total of 189 horsepower. Paired with the E-CVT continuously variable transmission, it achieves a low fuel consumption of 5.82 liters per 100 km, achieving a balance between power and economy.

It features slide-outs, a pop-up roof, kitchen, bathroom, and two double beds.
Production will take place in Germany with export-ready dimensions for shipping.
Midsize pickups might not haul as much as their full-size siblings like the Ford F-150, but they still make an appealing foundation for camper conversions. Practical, versatile, and increasingly popular among adventure seekers, these trucks strike a good balance between everyday usability and off-grid capability, especially in parts of the world with narrower roads than America.
More: Ford’s Clever Camper Pickup Idea Could Change How You Sleep Outdoors
Now, a new German company called Auriga Explorer is developing an intriguing concept that transforms the back of the truck into an expandable mobile home, and as the photos suggest, that’s far from the most unconventional feature of this build.
Built for the Trail
The project is called the Voyager, based on a single-cab version of the previous-generation Ford Ranger. Auriga plans to make the final version compatible not just with the latest Ranger, but also with the Volkswagen Amarok that shares its platform.
At first glance, the dual spare tires mounted on the rear overhang make the Voyager look almost like a six-wheeler. Combined with its generous ground clearance, grippy tires, and bolt-on wide fender extensions, the setup targets overlanding enthusiasts.
The rear end of the truck has been completely re-engineered, fitted with a lightweight glass fiber reinforced plastic (GRP) shell that integrates factory taillights.
Above the cab and extending beyond the tailgate sits the camper module, which incorporates slide-out sections on both sides and the back, plus a pneumatic pop-up roof for extra space and standing height.
When fully closed, the Voyager measures 5.85 m (230.3 inches) long, 2.10 m (82.7 inches) wide, and 2.25 m (88.6 inches) tall, retaining the wheelbase of the donor vehicle. Once expanded, it offers around 8 square meters (86.1 sq ft) of floor area and up to 2.05 m (6.73 ft) of interior height with the roof deployed.
The camper can sleep up to four adults. The main bed is positioned above the cab, while a secondary bed converts from the daytime seating area, which accommodates six people across two benches and a pull-out table. The entrance cleverly doubles as a compact bathroom, complete with a shower and a water circulation system designed to conserve resources.
At the front, a compact kitchen unit includes a diesel-powered oven with a two-burner stove. Storage is neatly integrated: side slide-outs hold clothing and gear, and a rear slide-out functions as a small garage for outdoor equipment. Solar panels, underfloor heating, and a skylight add comfort and independence for longer trips.
Frank Haltermann, Design Engineer and Managing Director of Auriga Explorer, explained that the goal of their conversion is to “combine the best of two worlds – the freedom of a compact four-wheel drive pickup truck and the comfort of a luxurious expedition vehicle”
Auriga Explorer says the project has already passed through the conception, design, and testing phases. While pricing remains under wraps, production will take place in Germany which is Europe’s largest market for campers and motorhomes. The Voyager is designed to fit inside a standard overseas shipping container, making it ready for worldwide exports.

Following the release of actual photos and official images of the vehicle in China, it was unveiled at the 2025 Munich Motor Show in early September. It features a closed front design with slim headlights and intermittent daytime running lights. The front bumper features multiple banner-style vents, an AGS active air intake grille, and a sporty black front bumper lip.
It is also designed with concealed door handles and black exterior mirror housings. At the rear, the vehicle features a transitional lighting cluster, along with a rear spoiler. The "LEAPMOTOR" logo is located in the center of the trunk lid.
In terms of dimensions, the vehicle measures 4430 mm in length, 1880 mm in width, and 1520 mm in height, respectively, with a 2735 mm wheelbase. In addition to the four standard colors, the vehicle will be available in two exclusive colors: Electric Yellow and Wind Gray.
In addition to the standard version, an Ultra version will also be available, equipped with sport kits on the front and rear surrounds, a larger rear spoiler, and special matte paint.
It is reported that the vehicle will offer two sets of assisted driving solutions depending on the vehicle configuration. The lower-end version does not include lidar, while the upper-end version features a roof-mounted lidar that is expected to support advanced functions such as the NAP navigation assistant.
According to information submitted to the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, it is equipped with a single electric motor system with a maximum power output of 160 kilowatts and a top speed of 170 kilometers per hour. The vehicle is offered in two versions, with a curb weight of 1,665 kilograms and 1,715 kilograms. Previously leaked official information indicates that it will be offered in two range versions: 515 kilometers and 605 kilometers.

A budget 7-seater SUV with a G-Wagen look just got new tech and comfort upgrades for 2025.
Mahindra Bolero gets new grille, 7-inch screen, and better ride comfort.
Bolero Neo adds new grille, 9-inch touchscreen, and revised suspension.
Both models ride on ladder frames and use carry-over diesel engines.
It’s hard not to notice that the Mahindra Bolero looks like a G-Class sketched by someone who only caught a glimpse of one in traffic, yet that hasn’t stopped it from attracting a loyal crowd. Credit where it’s due, though, as when a vehicle costs less than a set of G-Class wheels, it’s easy to forgive a few design liberties.
First rolled out in 2000, it’s been tweaked, polished, and repackaged more times than anyone’s counting, but the basic brick-on-wheels silhouette refuses to retire. Fourteen years into its current generation, the veteran off-roader has been given another “update,” which mostly means some light cosmetic work and just enough tech to convince you it’s new.
This latest version adopts a new design for the grille featuring five vertical slats and subtle chrome inserts. There is also a new B8 flagship trim riding on 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels.
Finally, the color palette has been expanded with the addition of the new Stealth Black shade. Despite its rugged looks, the Bolero has a compact footprint measuring 3,995 mm (157.3 inches) long with a wheelbase of 2,680 mm (105.5 inches).
Inside, time seems to have stopped sometime around the early 2000s, though the big highlight of the refresh is an elongated 7-inch touchscreen mounted low on the center console. It doesn’t bother with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, but there’s Bluetooth, which technically counts as modern. At least it breaks up the otherwise time-warped dashboard.
The instrument cluster displays digital graphics that wouldn’t look out of place on a retro wristwatch, while the rest of the cabin remains wrapped in hard plastic.
Other additions include a USB-C charging port and audio controls on the steering wheel. Finally, the seats have been slightly redesigned, with the flagship B8 swapping the vinyl upholstery for more a more premium leatherette material.
All variants have a seven-seat layout with a foldable third row and come standard with dual airbags and rear parking sensors.
The Bolero still rides on the same ladder frame chassis, but the suspension has gained “RideFlo Tech” promising enhanced comfort and handling on any terrain.
Under the hood lies a carry-over 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel engine which is good for 75 hp (55.9 kW) and 210 Nm (154.9 lb-ft) of torque. Power is transmitted to the rear wheels exclusively via a manual gearbox.
The Bolero Neo Has Also Been Updated.
Alongside the standard Bolero, Mahindra has also given a light refresh to the Bolero Neo, the slightly more modern sibling that first arrived in 2015. It shares its ladder-frame platform with the Scorpio and matches the Bolero’s compact 3,995 mm (157.3 inches) length.
A decade after its launch, the Bolero Neo adopts a redesigned grille with horizontal slits, and a new N11 flagship trim that rides on Dark Metallic Grey 16-inch alloy wheels . The rest of the design remains virtually unchanged, although Mahindra has added the new Jeans Blue and Concrete Grey exterior shades that can be combined with a black roof.
The seven-seater interior offers the option between Lunar Grey and Mocha Brown color schemes depending on the trim. On the tech front, the Bolero Neo is fitted with a larger 9-inch infotainment touchscreen (up from 7 inches) that is compatible with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay and displays feed from the rearview camera. It also features a USB-C charging port next to the regular USB.
Under the skin, the Bolero Neo benefits from Frequency Dependent Damping suspension, Multi-Terrain Technology, a locking differential, a tweaked steering setup and improved brakes.
The carry-over 1.5-liter three-cylinder diesel generates 99 hp (73.5 kW) and 260 Nm (191.8 lb-ft) of torque sending power to the rear wheels via a manual gearbox.
Both the updated Bolero and Bolero Neo are now available to order in India. Prices range from ₹7.99–9.69 lakh ($9,000–10,900) for the Bolero, and ₹8.49–9.99 lakh ($9,600–11,300) for the Bolero Neo, keeping both models among the most accessible true SUVs on the market today.

The new Nissan Tekton will be manufactured in India and exported to select markets around the world.
Nissan teased the new Tekton SUV ahead of its 2026 debut in India.
It rides on CMF-B underpinnings shared with Renault and Dacia SUVs.
Patrol / Armada-inspired styling gives the Tekton a more premium look.
The compact SUV segment is about to get a lot more interesting. Nissan has offered a clearer look at its upcoming Tekton, scheduled to debut in 2026. The model will first launch in India before reaching other global markets. Essentially, the Tekton is a rebadged version of the latest Dacia Duster, which will also be sold in India under the Renault badge.
The Tekton name traces its roots to the Greek word for craftsman or builder. Initially announced in March 2024, the latest teasers reveal more of its styling, drawing strong inspiration from Nissan’s flagship Patrol, known as the Armada in North America. While much of its structure mirrors the Duster, the Tekton’s sharper detailing help distinguish it within the lineup.
A Duster With Armada Flair.
The new model features a Nissan-specific design for the front end with C-shaped LED headlights and chrome inserts on the grille. We can also see the same sculpted hood as the Duster, albeit with Tekton lettering. The rugged front bumper sports aluminum-style inserts around the intakes, a design that is mirrored at the rear.
The sheet metal on the profile and the greenhouse are shared with Dacia’s SUV, although Nissan has added different side gills and new alloy wheels. The rear end features distinct taillights with Patrol / Armada-style LED graphics which are connected to the the Japanese brand’s emblem.
While we don’t know the exact measurements, the Tekton’s length should be very close to the 4,343 mm (171 inches) of the Dacia.
During the video presentation, Nissan showed a single image of the dashboard that combines body-colored trim with glossy black and metal accents. The company didn’t show the digital cockpit but promises that the Tekton will have “advanced tech” and a “premium interior” calling it a “segment disruptor”.
The Tekton will ride on the CMF-B architecture which underpins the entire Dacia lineup and several Renault, Mitsubishi and Nissan models in Europe. Details about the powertrain options remain under wraps, but we expect it to share turbocharged 1.0-liter and 1.3-liter units with the upcoming Renault Duster.
Nissan plans to officially unveil the Tekton in India in 2026, with sales beginning the same year. Production will take place at the Chennai plant, operated jointly with Renault.
While the company aims to strengthen its Indian footprint, it also intends to export the Tekton to select global markets. More details, including full specifications, will be announced closer to launch.
Competing models will include the Renault Duster, Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, Suzuki Grand Vitara, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Honda Elevate, Skoda Kushaq, and VW Taigun, setting the Tekton against a packed and competitive lineup of compact SUVs.

The Zongheng G700's first impression is its solid stance. With dimensions of 5198 mm (5198 x 2050 x 1956 mm) and a 2870 mm wheelbase, it's longer and more imposing than the Tank 700; its square silhouette embodies a fundamentally solid stance. The front end features a rectangular grille with a smoked block element, and two chrome strips that pass through the brand logo and connect the square headlights. A silver off-road skid plate at the bottom enhances protection in challenging off-road conditions. A sculpted waistline and robust skid plates complement the 20-inch bi-tone wheels. The floating roof adds a stylish touch to the rugged design, while the side tailgate and external spare tire "backpack" are hallmarks of this rugged SUV. Seven exterior colors, ranging from calming Capri Blue to distinctive matte Morning Orange, cater to every aesthetic. At the rear, a smoked trim panel extending from the vertical taillights enhances nighttime visibility, allowing for personalized graphics. The exposed tow hook emphasizes the vehicle's practicality.
While the exterior expresses ruggedness, the interior reflects the motto "off-road without sacrificing comfort." The idea is an 80% soft leather upholstery and deerskin roof, while the optional NAPPA leather seats add a delicate touch. The center console features sharp lines and rivet decoration, while maintaining its hard-core heritage without losing its luxury feel. The grip design of the physical buttons is particularly thoughtful, ensuring blind operation even over bumps, eliminating the risk of accidental touches. The seating arrangement offers spacious five-passenger and 2+2+2 six-passenger options. The first and second rows are equipped with ventilation, heating, and massage functions. The zero-gravity seat on the right side of the six-passenger version's second row and the 157° flat function for the main driver effectively alleviate fatigue from long-distance journeys. The 17.3-inch ceiling entertainment screen, 8.88-inch climate screen, 35.4-inch skylight screen, and 15.6-inch central control screen form a 77-inch quad-screen connectivity system. Watching movies and TV in the rear row and adjusting the climate control from the co-driver's seat do not interfere with each other; they work together. The same Rolls-Royce Lexicon speakers create a mobile cinema-level experience.
Jetour G700: A new choice for electric hybrid off-road vehicles
True competitiveness lies in its "wild and economical" power and off-road configuration. The Kunpeng Super Hybrid CDM-O system is the epitome of performance. The 2.0T engine and four electric motors produce a total of 665 kW of power and 1,135 N·m of torque, propelling the 3-ton body into the "4-second acceleration club" and accelerating from 0 to 100 km in just 4.6 seconds. An even more unique feature is its fuel consumption of just 7.95 L/100 km despite its low battery capacity. Combined with the 800-volt Ningde hybrid battery, it can charge from 30% to 80% in 10 minutes, balancing performance and economy. In terms of off-road capabilities, the "front and rear electronically controlled gear differential locks + energy center lock" intelligent triple locks, standard across the range, quickly distribute torque to cope with challenging road conditions such as mud and sand, eliminating the risk of getting stuck. The Zonghengyuntai off-road chassis features front and rear double wishbone suspension, CDC damping, and air suspension. It supports five levels of height adjustment from -50 mm to +90 mm. The Trumpchi Xiangwang S9 Qiankun was unveiled at GAC Group's Panyu headquarters in Guangzhou on September 19. Featuring Huawei Qiankun, CATL, and smart electric all-wheel drive as standard across the entire lineup, along with comprehensive comfort and GAC quality assurance, the Trumpchi Xiangwang S9 Qiankun is the only Chinese plug-in hybrid car in the 220,000 yuan (approximately $20,000) segment to offer all three smart all-wheel drive features as standard.
The Qiankun all-wheel-drive flagship SUV, the Trumpchi Xiangwang S9 Qiankun, polishes every detail with the original intention of "coming for happiness," making every configuration a solid support for family travel with peace of mind, redefining the value standard for large and mid-size new energy family SUVs.
The Trumpchi S9 Qiankun is a safety companion. Three standard features across the entire series combine to form a safety triangle, ensuring users can drive without worry and feel more comfortable.
In terms of passive safety, the Xiangwang S9 body, based on GAC's independently developed "Xingling Safety Protection System," adopted the "seven-ring cage shield" design of the submarine pressure cabin structure during the development and validation process. The front anti-collision beam is made of aerospace-grade 7-series aluminum alloy, and the entire passenger compartment frame is made of 100% high-strength steel. Its crashworthiness exceeded and surpassed 24 national standards, making it a "mobile safety fortress."
The entire series is equipped with the standard 44.5-degree Ningde Times Xiaoyao super hybrid battery, which ensures a never-spontaneous-ignition safety foundation and ensures a worry-free and comfortable driving experience. The battery features 10-layer safety protection with safety standards that far exceed national standards and has met the requirements of the new national battery standard a year ahead of schedule. The CLTC boasts a pure electric range of 252 km, the longest pure electric range in its class, making it the Chinese plug-in hybrid SUV with the longest pure electric range. With a comprehensive range of over 1,200 kilometers and compatibility with 92-octane gasoline, it can travel for a week without recharging during normal commutes and is also suitable for long-distance trips on weekends and holidays.
GAC's Super Intelligent Electric All-Wheel Drive System is standard across the entire model range and provides exceptionally stable handling. In everyday life, all-wheel drive offers advantages over two-wheel drive vehicles in terms of passability, stability, and safety. The GAC S9's entry-level all-wheel drive option allows even more families to enjoy "safety in every scenario." The intelligent front-alignment system, SDC continuously variable damping, and ASTC Eagle Claw System 2.0 work together to deliver a chassis as stable as a high-speed train. Three modes—off-road, snow, and slippery—make it easier to handle complex road conditions like rain, snow, and mud.
The Trumpchi S9 Qiankun is equipped with comfort and attention to detail for all passengers, creating a mobile, first-class cabin that ensures the entire family enjoys a comfortable travel experience.
During the design phase, every GAC Trumpchi vehicle relies on the world's only "three-in-one" wind tunnel laboratory to optimize quietness, aerodynamics, and energy consumption, adhering strictly to development processes and experimental standards. After undergoing rigorous tests such as "five highs, one mountain, and one dust," more than 1,000 test vehicles were invested before launch, with a total test mileage exceeding 13 million kilometers. This ensures users "feel comfortable sitting in the vehicle and worry-free getting out."
With three standard features across the entire range, a cornerstone of safety, a comfortable and well-equipped cabin for entertaining your family, and a long-standing commitment to quality from a major manufacturer, the Trumpchi S9 Qiankun has become the undisputed king of the 220,000-level Chinese plug-in hybrid, boasting three major advantages: safety, comfort, and quality. It helps users embark on a happy and fulfilling life.

The Formula Leopard Titanium 3 has made another move with the release of an Ultra version priced at 149,800 yuan and two new color options (Sparkling Pink and Ice Blue).
The interior is quite impressive. The 15.6-inch 2K display, combined with the DiLink 5.0 system, features six-tone voice recognition and a 0.3-second response time. Anyone who has used a smart car system will notice its exceptional fluidity: incredibly smooth. No need to fiddle with buttons in the car; just say, "Hello Fangchengbao, open the window," and your order is ready—how worry-free!
The most meticulously thought-out feature is the smart heating and cooling refrigerator hidden in the center armrest. With temperature control from -6°C to 50°C, you can enjoy an ice-cold cola in the summer or warm up steamed buns in the winter.
Designed specifically for road trippers and camping enthusiasts, imagine rounding up a few friends for a weekend trip to the countryside in the Titanium 3, opening the trunk, pulling out your KTV gear, and enjoying a cold beer while singing along. However, this car's interior is predominantly decorated with gray C-shaped upholstery. While it may create a "futuristic" feel, the vast dark color palette and multicolored ambient lighting can create a slightly "cyberpunk" and underwhelming atmosphere.
Of course, a car isn't just about a good-looking exterior and a quirky spirit; three key components are key. This new model is equipped with a 160 kW rear-mounted permanent magnet synchronous motor, delivering 310 Nm of peak torque and a pure electric range of 501 km. These figures are more than enough for daily commutes and weekend getaways. It supports fast charging, charging from 30% to 80% in just 30 minutes, a significant improvement in range anxiety.
The chassis features double-ball McPherson struts up front and a five-link independent rear suspension that seems quite robust. But what really stood out for me were the standard Yunnian-C intelligent damping system and Yunnian Pre-Aiming system across the range.
The triple-lens camera can predict the road surface 15 meters in advance, adjust damping in 0.2 seconds, and reduce the impact of speed bumps by 40%. So what does this mean? Simply put, your vehicle can "see the road" and significantly reduce bumps by preparing in advance. Isn't that the legendary "magic carpet" effect? The Yunnian-C's low price is definitely its biggest selling point, making its 149,800 yuan price tag even more reasonable. Combined with iTAC intelligent torque control and iATS terrain recognition, it can easily handle complex road conditions.

Lamborghini has unveiled the new Manifesto concept.
It’s designed to preview the brand’s new styling direction.
The car celebrates 20 years of Lamborghini Centro Stile.
Lamborghini Centro Stile recently celebrated their 20th anniversary and they marked the occasion by quietly unveiling the Manifesto. It’s billed as a “visionary sculpture” that showcases the “potential future of our unique design DNA.”
The automaker hasn’t said a peep about the car, but Lamborghini Design Director Mitja Borkert released several pictures and renderings.
They show an extreme hypercar that features an evolutionary front fascia with triangular headlights and Y-shaped daytime running lights. The model also sports a familiar nose as well as aggressive carbon fiber intakes.
Moving further back, we can see heavily stylized bodywork with angular lines and streamlined surfaces. They’re joined by carbon fiber wheels and sporty side skirts. We can also see what appears to be a double bubble glass canopy.
The rear end is a significant departure and looks somewhat generic as it’s dominated by a massive diffuser. Designers also gave the model Y-shaped taillights and a black panel with Lamborghini badging.
More notably, the rear deck lid has angular buttresses and what appears to be a ventilated cover. Some images also show a red strip, which could presumably be a third brake light.
Little else is known about the concept, but Lamborghini says the move towards taking design in-house started in the 1980’s as the Jalpa and LM 002 were created by technical director Giulio Alfieri. This effort then began in earnest after Audi acquired the brand in 1998.
As part of the takeover, “design processes and facilities were established.” Luc Donckerwolke also came on board and would go onto be named head of design in 2003.
Around the same time, Audi’s head of design, Walter de’Silva, recommended that Lamborghini get its own design studio. It was officially announced in 2003 and their first car was completed two years later.
CEO Stephan Winkelmann said Lamborghini Centro Stile “has consolidated the role of design not only in the creation of extraordinary Italian production super sports cars, but always pushing boundaries to deliver the unexpected that is so innate within the Lamborghini marque, from concept cars to limited editions that explore new horizons, to one-off and few-offs that have established the appeal of Lamborghini models in private collections.”

Designed by world-class designers, its exterior features 236 LED headlights paired with Lincoln-class paint and an illuminated logo. Compared to the more family-oriented and understated design of the Dongfeng Nissan N7, the Qiyuan A06 offers a more personalized aesthetic. Leveraging the SDA platform, it achieves a 90% space-to-space ratio. Its 2922 mm wheelbase and 145° adjustable rear seats offer greater flexibility than the Nissan N7's "Custom Mode" semi-folding design. Moreover, the Qiyuan A06's "touch-and-click" power tailgate (total volume of 764 liters) offers superior performance compared to the N7's traditional opening mechanism.
It arrived with an impressive presence and boasted all the features: 90.6% soft upholstery, 28-point premium acupressure massage seats, independent heated and cooled refrigerators, a 20-speaker panoramic sound system, and headrest speakers with independent navigation audio outputs ensure seamless driver and passenger interaction. Its comfort and luxury rival luxury cars. The Nissan N7, on the other hand, focuses on simplicity and comfort. While it features AI-powered zero-pressure cloud carpet seats with adaptive algorithm-tuned support and full-range motion sickness reduction technology to alleviate long-distance discomfort, the true experience remains to be seen. Furthermore, it only offers a front-seat massage function and lacks an onboard refrigerator. In terms of intelligence, the Qiyuan A06's voice-activated navigation system and customizable buttons offer enhanced convenience.
The key difference between the two is that the A06, equipped with an 800V high-voltage SiC platform, charges from 30% to 80% in just 9 minutes and can cover 330 km in 10 minutes. The Nissan N7, using a 400V architecture, charges in 14 minutes under the same conditions, resulting in approximately 40% lower efficiency. In terms of performance, the Qiyuan A06's 210kW motor accelerates from 0-60 km/h in 6.2 seconds, beating the 6.9-second time of the high-powered version of the Nissan N7. It also supports a 6kW external discharge, making it more practical for camping. In terms of range, both vehicles have a range of 630 km, but actual usage will vary significantly depending on personal usage habits and driving style. It's worth noting that the A06's battery cell supplier is Guoxuan High-tech, while the N7's is Xinwangda. While we can't judge which is superior, we can say that Guoxuan High-tech currently has the higher brand influence and established base in the industry.
The A06 utilizes double wishbone front and five-link rear aluminum suspension, offering better handling than the N7's front McPherson strut and four-link rear steel suspension (only the fork is aluminum). While the N7's chassis tuning and shock absorption have earned praise from owners for providing a smoother ride over speed bumps, it struggles during high-speed emergency maneuvers like evasive maneuvers. In terms of safety, the Qiyuan A06's 82.9% high-strength body and 30-second battery warning system offer distinct advantages over the Nissan N7's four-pin puncture-resistant battery. However, the N7 suffers from quality control issues such as thin paint and uneven stitching.
Compared to similarly priced rivals like the Nissan N7, the A06's key competitive advantage lies in its focus on "intersegment value." The 800V supercharging platform eliminates user charging concerns. A full range of luxury features, from 28-point massage seats to a separate refrigerator, maximize comfort. Its double-wishbone aluminum suspension and high-strength, high-performance body ensure both roadholding and safety. With a 90% floor-to-ceiling ratio and a flexible, intelligent interactive design, the A06 perfectly meets every need of home buyers. With a starting price of 119,900 yuan, the A06 offers a distinct advantage in its price range with its impeccable features and exceptional experience. This customer-centric product approach will not only provide consumers with a more affordable option but will also encourage upgrades and innovations in the medium and large family sedan market in the 150,000 yuan price range, effectively eliminating the perception of family electric vehicles as "luxury" limited to high-end models.
With the extended-range version to be released later, the A06 is poised to challenge the Nissan N7.

A mid-cycle facelift further distances the small car from its image of being low-cost.
Renault’s decision to buy Dacia at the end of the 1990s has proved to be a masterstroke. Once a laughingstock of the automotive industry, the Romanian automaker has flourished over the past couple of decades. The Sandero was Europe’s best-selling car overall in 2024 and has been the most popular model among retail customers since 2017. Last year alone, nearly 310,000 people bought the supermini.
While rivals at this price point are few and far between, Dacia isn’t letting its hugely successful car linger. For 2026, the Sandero and its pseudo-rugged Stepway sibling receive a mid-cycle facelift. The design tweaks extend to the Logan sedan and the Jogger wagon, with all four models gaining redesigned headlights that flank an updated grille, designed to give the illusion of a single piece.
Moving to the rear, Dacia adds a pixel effect to the LED taillights, which continue to extend upward on the Jogger for a Volvo-like appearance. The Sandero Stepway now features a matte black strip incorporating the brand’s name, though it’s barely visible. Whatever happened to traditional badging?
Rounding off the exterior changes are newly designed alloy wheels and fresh hubcaps for the cheaper variants, which ride on steel wheels. A shark fin antenna is now standard, and depending on the model, two new colors, Amber Yellow and Sandstone, join the palette.
Although Dacias remain some of the most affordable cars in Europe, they don’t skimp on features. For 2026, the lineup gains a larger 10-inch touchscreen with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Sandero, Sandero Stepway, Jogger, and Logan also receive an induction charging pad, automatic headlights, a multi-view camera, and power-folding mirrors.
Many of these amenities cost extra, but it’s reassuring to see Dacia offering modern conveniences even as options. Another thoughtful feature, already available on other models, is the YouClip anchor point system, which is found throughout the cabin. The Logan has one on the dashboard and another at the back of the center console. The Sandero models add a third in the tailgate, while the Jogger gains a fourth on one side of the cargo area. These anchor points can secure various small items, from a phone holder to a coat hanger.
Since Europe remains Dacia’s core market, the company must keep EU regulators happy by meeting the latest safety standards. New features now include a driver attention alert and automatic emergency braking with detection for vehicles, pedestrians, cyclists, and motorbikes.
The most significant upgrade lies under the hood of the Sandero Stepway and Jogger. Dacia has fitted a hybrid powertrain pairing a naturally aspirated 1.8-liter gasoline engine with two electric motors, a 1.4-kWh battery pack, and an automatic transmission featuring four gears for the combustion engine and two for electric drive.
The setup produces a combined 155 hp and 170 Nm (125 lb-ft) of torque. The cars always start in electric mode, and Dacia claims that up to 80 percent of city driving can be done without the gas engine. The Jogger can already be ordered with this hybrid, while the Stepway will follow in the fourth quarter of next year as the first electrified Sandero.
More affordable configurations will forgo the hybrid setup. All four models can be equipped with a 1.2-liter three-cylinder turbo engine that also runs on liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). It develops 120 hp sent to the front wheels through either a six-speed manual or a six-speed dual-clutch automatic. With full gas and LPG tanks, the Sandero Stepway and Jogger can travel up to 920 miles (1,480 kilometers).
Depending on the model, gas-only turbo engines with 100 or 110 horsepower are also available, each paired with a six-speed manual. The base engine remains a naturally aspirated three-cylinder producing 65 hp, paired with a five-speed manual transmission. Yes, five.
Dacia’s success proves there will always be demand for no-frills, affordable cars, even in the SUV age. These comprehensive updates refine an already winning formula to help maintain the brand’s strong sales momentum.

From the company that gave us the Duster and Bigster comes the … Hipster. Dacia has unveiled another car with a quirky name, and its ambitious mission is to “invent the popular electric car of tomorrow.” The latest concept from the Renault-owned brand completely ditches swoopy shapes in favor of an ultra-angular design aimed at maximizing interior space.
You can’t immediately tell from these images just how tiny this car is. At only 118.1 inches (three meters) long, it’s significantly shorter than a kei car. Speaking of which, the Hipster evokes a futuristic Honda N-Box but in an even smaller package. It stands just 60 inches (1.53 meters) tall, 61 inches (1.55 meters) wide, and weighs under 1,764 pounds (800 kilograms).
Despite its tiny footprint, Dacia claims the diminutive EV has four proper seats and even a small cargo compartment, though it only holds 2.5 cubic feet (70 liters). Fold the rear bench, however, and capacity jumps to a respectable 17.6 cubic feet (500 liters).
The battery’s capacity isn’t specified, but given the car’s petite size and impressively low weight, the Hipster clearly isn’t lugging around a hefty pack. Dacia says there’s enough range for everyday use, requiring just two recharges per week.
Like Dacia’s production cars, the cube-like concept keeps costs firmly in check. For instance, the square taillights are mounted behind the tailgate's window, eliminating the need for separate glass. And just like in a Porsche 911 GT3 RS, the door handles are replaced with fabric straps because they're lighter and cheaper.
If you’re nostalgic for front benches, the Hipster has one. A mesh fabric helps further cut costs, as do the separate headrests suspended above both front and rear seats. Despite the minimalist interior, Dacia hasn’t entirely skimped on safety, fitting airbags for the driver and front passenger.
In addition to its roomy cabin relative to its size, the Hipster is impressively practical. There are 11 anchor points scattered throughout the interior for attaching accessories such as cup holders, extra lights, a portable Bluetooth speaker, or even armrests.
As spartan and funky as it may look, the Hipster embodies an intriguing idea. If the concept of “bare necessities” were turned into a car, this would be it: everything you need and nothing that adds cost, weight, or complexity. It’s essentially a step above a quadricycle, a European spin on the kei car philosophy.
The concept’s debut comes as the European Union considers creating separate regulations for ultra-compact EVs. These vehicles wouldn’t need to meet as many requirements as standard electric cars, reducing manufacturing costs. The resulting savings could be passed on to customers, while automakers could still profit, even when selling a sub-€20,000 EV.

The ORA 5's exterior design continues the ORA "cat" aesthetic with round headlights, a layered front design with ribbed lines, large trapezoidal cooling vents in the front bumper, and longitudinal vents on both sides. It will be available in six colors: Aurora Green, White Cliff White, Senna Gray, Sand Beige, Sayram Lake Blue, and Nyingchi Red. All are inspired by famous geographical landscapes.
It features a body curve officially labeled "smooth and flowing," with a black B-pillar, traditional door handles and roof rails, and a charging port located in the front fender. The rear design is similar to the ORA Good Cat, with a roof spoiler and built-in high-mounted brake lights. The taillights continue to integrate with the rear window. The "GWM" logo hangs in the center of the trunk lid, while "ORA Cat" and "Great Wall Motors" are emblazoned on the left and right, respectively. The dimensions are 4471 mm long, 1833 mm wide, and 1641 mm high, respectively, and the wheelbase is 2720 mm.

The vehicle features a completely new interior design with large areas of mesh fabric covering the center console and door panels. It is equipped with a floating full-LCD instrument cluster, a large central control display, and the third-generation Coffee OS on-board system. The Coffee GPT also features DeepSeek integration. The steering wheel features a two-spoke flat-bottom design and a manual shift mechanism. In addition to the ORA brand's signature shift paddles, the lower dash also features a wireless phone charging panel, storage compartments, and cupholders. The vehicle also features a 1.65-square-meter panoramic sunroof, 64-color ambient lighting, and a large vanity mirror.
It will be powered by a 150 kW electric motor and Honeycomb Energy lithium iron phosphate (LiFePO4) battery produced by Honeycomb Transmission Technology Pizhou Co., Ltd. For reference, the only ORA model currently using the same drive motor as the ORA 5 is the Lightning Cat, which has a 63.87 kWh and 83.49 kWh battery packs with a range of 555 km and 705 km, respectively.
With a starting price of 100,000 yuan, the ORA will command a higher price than the Good Cat. Its competitors will be premium small SUVs like the Smart Elf 1, MINI Aceman, and Firefly. Its advantages lie in its larger size and Great Wall Motors' reputation for electric, hybrid, and safety technologies.

As a minor facelift, we expected the new eT5T's appearance to be largely unchanged, but it's clear NIO designers have put a lot of thought into it. While its overall silhouette resembles a standard station wagon, its appearance is closer to the family's flagship, the eT9.
Looking at the details, the Double Dash daytime running lights have sharper lines, and the ADB multi-beam headlights at the bottom are integrated with the air vents, offering a new welcome light effect. Just by looking at the details, it's quite similar to the flagship eT9.
The body size is the same as the outgoing model, with a length of less than 4.8 meters. It's still positioned as a standard mid-size car. While not particularly striking in the 300,000 Yuan price range, it offers some advantages over station wagons like the Volvo V60.
If the exterior changes don't satisfy you, the interior improvements are truly impressive. While maintaining the standard T-shaped design, the design has been updated and refined based on existing user feedback, addressing all shortcomings.
The most notable change is the 15.6-inch, rounded-corner central control display. This update includes three key features: First, a more modern horizontal layout for clearer usability. Second, a switch to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8295P chip for noticeably smoother interaction. Third, an upgrade to the Cedar S in-car system, offering superior interface and functionality.
Commonly used software interfaces now open as small windows, and the visual center is positioned higher, making it easier for the driver to use. This doesn't affect the display of navigation, multimedia, or other information.
Moreover, replacing the screen with a larger one makes viewing the panoramic view more comfortable. When driving through narrow roads, you can see the blind spots of the wheels on both sides more clearly, which is quite useful.
Looking at the steering wheel, the styling has been made more rigid, and the multifunction buttons on both sides have also been improved. The left side is used to control the driver assistance system, while the right side is primarily used to operate the vehicle systems, making it clearly more intuitive.
The right rear gear lever has also been updated with an electronic gear lever, more in line with the styling of new energy vehicles.
The instrument cluster remains 10.2 inches in size, but its shape has been changed to a rounded design similar to the central control display, and the available content, including navigation, obstacle visualization, and other information, is now richer.
The three commonly used physical buttons below the display have been converted to a horizontal bar, and the lower section has been upgraded to accommodate two 50W wireless charging panels. This eliminates the need for the driver and co-driver to give way to each other for charging.
In addition to the visible and tangible features at the front, it also boasts numerous detailed upgrades, such as an upgrade to the new Shenji NX9031 intelligent driving chip. Relying on more powerful processing power, the vehicle now offers more stable and intelligent driving assistance functions.
The trunk volume has been increased to 529 liters and can now accommodate multiple 20-inch suitcases. Details such as mesh bags, hooks, hangers, lighting, and the 12V power supply on both sides have also been retained, which is commendable.
Lift the lid and you'll find a hidden storage compartment, perfect for storing items like in-car tools. It's lined with soft material and produces no noticeable noise when driving on bumpy roads.
The biggest mechanical improvement is the addition of a CDC adjustable suspension system to the original front and rear five-link, four-wheel independent suspension system. The suspension's softness and firmness can now be adjusted manually or according to the driving mode, with a total of three adjustable levels.
In terms of power, the standard front and rear dual-motor all-wheel drive system continues to follow the familiar formula, with a maximum power output of 360 kilowatts, a maximum torque of 700 Nm, and an official 0-100 mph time of 4 seconds. This performance is sufficient to handle all scenarios.
Battery capacity continues to be available in 75 kWh and 100 kWh options. Thanks to improved energy efficiency, the new eT5T offers a significant increase in range to 550 km and 710 km, respectively.

The Venucia VX6 will be available in five models, with prices ranging from 134,900 to 159,900 yuan. Equipped with a single electric motor at the front, the new car boasts an all-electric range of 450 km and 510 km, depending on model configuration.
As a refreshed model, its design remains largely unchanged and adheres to the STAR design philosophy. At the front, full-LED split headlights and the family's signature "V"-shaped transitional light strips create a highly recognizable look. At the rear, sleek lines and a small spoiler create a stylish and sporty appearance.
It comes standard with 17-inch wheels paired with 225/65 R17 tires. The large, flat-floor version features 18-inch and 19-inch wheels paired with 235/60 R18 and 235/55 R19 tires, respectively.
It offers six color options. All models are available in three colors: Very White, Magnificent Gray, and Cool Blue. However, Very White is a 2,000 yuan option. The wide, flat-floor version also has six colors. In addition to Very White, Cool Blue/Black and Unburnt Green are optional options, costing 3,000 yuan and 4,000 yuan, respectively.
It features a minimalist interior with a large, floating central control display in the center of the dashboard. It is equipped with the Lighthouse OS vehicle-to-machine system, and the wide-floor version features a built-in Qualcomm Snapdragon 8155 chip. The new vehicle will offer Bluetooth phone key, Level 2 driver assistance, 540-degree surround view, and FAP fully automatic fusion parking.
Powertrain-wise, it is equipped with a single front motor producing a total of 155 kW of power and 275 N·m of torque. The CLTC pure electric range is split between 450 km and 510 km, depending on vehicle configuration.
The entry-level model offers average features, basic comfort, and convenience, but lacks many active safety features. Its all-electric range is also the shortest of all models, making it a poor choice for entry-level buyers.
Comparing the configurations, it's clear that the recommended model offers significant advantages in terms of safety, comfort, and intelligence, such as a lane departure warning system, full-speed adaptive cruise control, and an electric trunk, compared to the long-range comfort version. These advantages can significantly enhance the driving experience. The price is only 8,000 yuan higher.
Compared to the recommended model, the top-tier version adds features like assisted parking and stage lighting, which are the icing on the cake. There are no significant improvements to the actual driving experience, and the price difference between the two is as high as 10,000 yuan, so its cost-effectiveness is average.

The all-electric Audi E5 Sportback in China starts at just under $34,000.
Low battery and energy costs in China help Audi keep prices affordable.
An equivalent Audi EV in Europe would likely cost at least twice as much.
While Audi has steadily built up its electric range, none of its current EVs have really made a breakthrough in Western markets, aside from the occasional seasonal bright spot. In China, though, the brand may have finally found its moment. The new AUDI E5 Sportback pulled in over 10,000 pre-orders within just half an hour after its debut.
In China, the AUDI E5 starts at just 235,900 yuan, which is the equivalent of $33,100 or €28,211 at current exchange rates. That’s a heck of a deal for a luxury car that includes a 76 kWh battery pack, a 295 hp rear motor, and has a claimed range of 384 miles (618 km) under local testing standards.
The upper trims go much further, offering up to 776 hp, while buyers also get a wraparound digital cockpit, and software tailored specifically to Chinese buyers. The interior mixes Alcantara with leather, while the tech list is stacked with features usually reserved for higher-end models.
To put that in perspective, Audi’s least expensive crossover in Germany is the Q2, a sub-compact that begins at €29,000 ($34,000 or 242,500 yuan) for the entry-level 116 hp 3-cylinder TFSI, a price that includes Germany’s value-added tax, or standard sales tax.
Unlike Audi models sold elsewhere, the E5 is exclusive to China and even carries a new badge. Instead of the traditional four rings, the grille simply reads “AUDI,” a deliberate break from tradition designed to appeal to younger, tech-oriented buyers.
Speaking to Germany’s N-TV, industry expert Ferdinand Dudenhöffer described the move as “clever positioning” and a “liberating step,” arguing that the traditional rings carried too much baggage from the past.
There’s More To Audi’s $33K Chinese EV Than Cheap Labor
While it might be tempting to chalk up the low sticker price to cheaper wages in China, labor costs account for only around ten percent of total vehicle costs, according to the CAR Institute, N-TV reports.
A slew of other important factors come into play that help AUDI keep the E5 so affordable by Western standards. Battery costs in China are lower, energy is much cheaper, and local production operates with far greater efficiency. On top of that, Germany levies a 19 percent sales tax (VAT), while China applies just 10 percent for regular cars and in some cases zero percent for EVs, depending on price and incentives.
Perhaps most telling, though, is that manufacturers there are willing to operate with margins far slimmer than what German brands typically tolerate. That’s something we rarely, if ever, see in the West. Were a vehicle like the E5 to be produced and sold in Europe, it’d likely cost twice as much, if not more.
Back in Germany, the contrast could not be starker. The industry’s struggles are well known, with Audi planning to cut around 7,500 jobs by 2029, Mercedes deep in restructuring, and Porsche rolling back its EV plans. BMW has fared a little better, yet it too has shed thousands of temporary positions.
According to a recent study by EY, Germany’s automotive industry lost more than 50,000 jobs last year, erasing roughly seven percent of its workforce. Compared with pre-COVID levels, the sector employs 112,000 fewer people today. No other domestic industry has suffered losses on this scale.
Against this backdrop, Dudenhöffer argued that Audi’s decision to launch a separate brand in China was both brave and instructive. “Competitors BMW and Mercedes are now under pressure,” he said. “If the price difference becomes too large, customers will switch to Audi.”
He also issued a more general warning. “If the price collapse from China reaches Europe and Chinese models take over here, the Germans need a response,” he said.
“If we don’t learn to build cars that interest customers – with the right price and the right costs – Germany has a problem. We can watch China and say: We won’t get involved in this shameless price war. Or we can say: We need a China strategy.”
“Without a China strategy, Audi, BMW, and Mercedes are finished globally. And without a China strategy, Germany will also lose its status as an automotive nation.”

The vehicle's faux leather seats were soft and well-padded with ventilation vents. Combined with the optional heated, ventilated, and massage front seats, they ensure comfort even for extended periods. While the sunroof isn't a panoramic sunroof, it offers excellent light transmission. Combined with the multi-layered sound-absorbing glass on the front side windows, it creates a bright and quiet interior.
In terms of powertrain, it is equipped with a single rear motor producing a total power of 210 kW and 317 N·m of torque. This motor is coupled with an 85 kWh lithium iron phosphate battery. The CLTC pure electric range is 750 km, and power consumption per 100 km is only 12.5 kWh/100 km.
The actual power output is excellent, offering quick throttle response and ample power reserves at mid- to late-range speeds. It ensures smooth and responsive starts for everyday city commutes and provides plenty of confidence when overtaking at high speeds.
In terms of NVH, thanks to the ultra-low coefficient of drag of 0.213 Cd and quiet tires, wind and tire noise are well suppressed, maintaining a pleasant interior quietness even at high speeds.
It was also equipped with the Sinan Intelligent Drive Level 2 assisted driving system, which offers features such as lane change assist, lane centering, lane change assist, and automatic hill entry and exit. Simply slide the gearshift paddle down twice to activate it; for driver convenience, a text, icon, and audible alert will appear on the central control display, as well as an icon on the 65-inch instrument cluster.
It features a double-wishbone front suspension and a five-link independent rear suspension. The suspension, with its overall sporty design, easily absorbs excessive vibrations on uneven roads, providing exceptional comfort. Furthermore, the chassis provides excellent support during high-speed cornering with minimal body roll. Combined with VDC2.0 technology, the vehicle's overall stance is well-controlled, allowing the driver to fully experience the thrill of speed.
Thanks to the 2900 mm wheelbase, the interior offers ample longitudinal space. A 175 mm tall passenger, after adjusting to a comfortable front seat position, had two fists' worth of legroom and a fist's worth of headroom in the back row. Additionally, all seat headrests are adjustable, allowing each passenger to find a comfortable seating position that suits their preferences.
It features a "9H4M" truss-type body structure composed of 76% high-strength steel. Active safety features include driver and passenger airbags, front and rear side airbags, front and rear head airbags (curtain airbags), and a front center airbag. Passive safety features include active braking/active safety systems, lane departure warning, and fatigue reduction features, ensuring continuous safety.

It's worth noting that both new vehicles are expected to be released in the third and fourth quarters of this year. Recently, an online expert drew a hypothetical image of the Onvo L80 mid-size SUV.
The Onvo L80's exterior features a traditional urban SUV design. The front fascia reflects the Ledao brand family design style, featuring "horns" on either side of the head. It is also expected to be equipped with two laser radars.
The side features a wide, steeply angled window line design similar to those found on luxury SUVs like the BMW X5, complemented by the Ledao brand's iconic five-pointed star-style wheels.
The taillights feature Onvo's signature design, and the rear window is small, likely to reduce drag. Below this, the "ONVO" logo, combined with the license plate frame in the center, creates a visually appealing experience.
After seeing the exterior design, what would you rate it out of 10? We think the L80's exterior will be more appealing to most people's aesthetic tastes. Ultimately, this exterior design appears more "imposing."
The L80 will reportedly be a mid-to-large SUV with two seating options: 6 and 7 seats. The new vehicle is expected to be approximately 5 meters long and have a body height of approximately 1700 mm.
It is expected to be built on a 900V high-voltage architecture, and the battery pack will support both ultra-fast charging and battery swapping. The all-wheel-drive version will accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 5 seconds, which is quite impressive.
The L80, which is positioned higher than the L60, will undoubtedly be priced higher. Given the L60's current price range of 206,900 to 255,900 yuan and the Bass plan (battery leasing) starting at 149,900 yuan, we estimate the L80's starting price will likely be around 220,000 yuan.

Yuanrong Qixing launched DeepRoute IO 2.0, its next-generation assisted driving platform equipped with its self-developed VLA (Vision-Language-Action) model, in August 2025.
The VLA model integrates visual perception, natural language understanding, and action decision-making. It applies the reasoning capabilities of large language models to the field of intelligent driving, enhances spatial semantic understanding, builds reasoning capabilities, and improves the ability to cope with complex road conditions.
At the press conference, Yuanrong Qixing simultaneously demonstrated the four core functions of the VLA model: spatial semantic understanding, custom-shaped obstacle recognition, text-based guide sign understanding, and vehicle voice control with memory. These functions will be gradually rolled out according to the actual deployment rhythm.
Judging by Yuanrong Qixing's previous customers, this suggests that brands like Great Wall Motors and Smart may soon be able to incorporate VLA-assisted driving into their vehicles.
Before the VLA model emerged, the industry's mainstream end-to-end CNN (convolutional neural network)-based BEV (bird's-eye view) implementation suffered from three long-standing bottlenecks that were difficult to overcome: limited blind spot detection, lack of logical reasoning capabilities, and insufficient generalization capabilities.
Compared to the end-to-end CNN model, the VLA model offers the following innovations:
First, chain-of-thought reasoning: More accurate than humans.
The key advantage of the VLA model lies in its Chain-of-Thought (CoT) capability. It enables long-term causal reasoning and serial analysis of discrete information, enabling a more human-like decision-making process.
Traditional end-to-end models have limited driving experience and can only infer road conditions in a few seconds; VLA supports high-level semantic understanding and long-term time-series reasoning and is good at handling complex road conditions.
Second, a vast knowledge base: It comes with a "driving encyclopedia."
Through internet-scale data distillation and training, the VLA model has accumulated a wealth of common-sense knowledge.
This knowledge generalization capability is incomparable to traditional systems. While traditional solutions rely on map data updates that take at least a week to process newly emerging traffic signs, the VLA model can understand them in real time.
Third, multimodal fusion: the coordination of vision + language + action.
The VLA model provides the first deep integration of visual perception, language comprehension, and action decision-making. It not only "sees" the road, but can also "read" road signs, "understand" instructions, and make logical decisions.
This combination enables the system to address more complex scenarios: identifying blind spot risks, understanding text guidance signs, supporting natural voice interaction, and better adapting to complex and changing real-world road environments.
Four key functions are redefining intelligent driving.
Spatial semantic understanding is the greatest strength of the VLA model. In situations with limited visibility, such as bus gridlock, complex intersections, and underpasses, the VLA can detect potential risks and proactively predict blind spots. The system can slow down and navigate safely before risks arise, providing a highly personalized defensive driving strategy.
Unregulated obstacle recognition: "All-knowing" driving.
The system can recognize and flexibly respond to a variety of unstructured obstacles. It now not only recognizes "obstacles" but also identifies the type of object and adopts appropriate avoidance strategies.
Understanding text-based guidance signs: Driving as a "translator."
The VLA model can accurately analyze road text information such as tidal lanes and bus lanes, reducing misjudgments and violations, and making navigating complex road conditions as easy as taking an open-book exam.
Voice control with memory: A personalized interactive experience.
Yuanrong Qixing has even more ambitious goals. According to its Road AGI strategy, the VLA model will not only be applied to passenger cars but will also be expanded to the robotaxi sector, extending beyond road scenarios to include indoor and outdoor environments such as residential areas, elevators, and offices. This will free robots from reliance on remote control or line patrol, enabling true autonomous mobility.

In any case, the mechanicals are largely the same: disc/drum brakes, electric and kick-start (still a useful feature), telescopic front forks and swingarm rear suspension, and 90/90-12 front and 90/100-10 rear tires. Suzuki likes to fit that tiny rear tire on its scooters, and while it may look tiny compared to the larger rims of its rivals, it's one of the main reasons it's so agile. Anti-lock brakes aren't mentioned.
While the Burgman and Avenis have a modern aesthetic, the Access is decidedly retro, with its plaid/two-tone paint schemes, slightly European look at the front, and a bright heat shield for the exhaust. Some nice details, courtesy of the Suzuki India website, include a fully digital TFT instrument cluster (retro analog wouldn't hurt either), LED lighting, and a fuel filler cap just above the taillight—no need to lift the seat. The chrome mirrors and position light below the front Suzuki emblem are nice touches.
In terms of usability, there are the usual handy hooks and pockets, a flat "gulay board" floor, and an 856-millimeter-long seat. Ground clearance is listed as 160 mm, but seat height is not specified. Our experience with the Burgman and Avenis suggests that the Access will be equally accessible to most Asian riders.
Interestingly, several different models are available in India: the Access Ride Connect TFT Edition, Standard, Special, and Ride Connect. The TFT screen appears to be available only on the TFT Edition, which also offers Bluetooth connectivity. The Ride Connect Edition also features Bluetooth, but with a monochrome screen. The Standard and Special models don't appear to have a TFT feature, but they make do with a monochrome screen, like the Burgman and Avenis. It's unclear whether the Philippines will receive all of these models, or just the top-tier.
Suzuki has always been smart about pricing, knowing that dealers here have to contend with both very low margins and fierce competition.

This name emphasizes the "Global Standards + China Verification" product approach. Based on the global pure-electric platform E-GMP and integrated with multi-scenario verification in the local vehicle environment, the brand positions the product as a symbol of "New Quality and Power": Innovation is reflected in updated design and R&D logic; Quality is achieved through systematic improvements in structural safety, energy efficiency, and electrical and electronic architecture; and Strength are demonstrated through stability and reliability throughout its lifecycle, transforming "invisible engineering" into a "visible experience."
Adhering to the aesthetics of natural simplicity and robustness, the EO Yiou creates a "steady yet powerful" sense of space with measured lines and balanced proportions. Its exterior design is synergistically developed with safety, wind noise reduction, and energy efficiency, aiming for visual appeal, durability, and effective communication. The front features crystalline square headlights and a galaxy-flag-style light strip. These are accompanied by nebula-like indicators, creating a clear lighting system that is easier to see and understand at night, in rainy, and foggy weather. The floating roof and dome-shaped panoramic roof window provide visual weight reduction and transparent illumination. The star-shaped taillights at the rear mirror the optical dynamic effects of the front end, creating an integrated, recognizable language.
The EO Yiou's cockpit design also maintains its "measured yet thoughtful" style: it is equipped with the first-in-class "Cyber Eye" foreground display function, which projects important driving information directly into the driver's field of vision. In addition to its high contrast, it provides a clear image even in rainy and snowy weather. It's paired with a 27-inch ultra-thin 4K widescreen display, unique in its class. These two features work together to create a natural operating rhythm: "look up to see road conditions, look down to operate functions," without the need for deliberate adjustments. This widescreen display provides a clear image even in strong light or backlit environments, and the magnesium alloy body further emphasizes the cabin's lightweight and thin texture. The cockpit also integrates practical functions such as health detection, fatigue monitoring, FACE ID identification, Tuying (Car Vlogging), and a BOSE sound system, truly demonstrating that "technology is noiseless, constantly perceptible."
What truly defines the EO Yiou's quality is its "frame." The EO Yiou is built on an E-GMP-exclusive pure electric platform. The body highlights the 720° safety configuration and the industry's highest-strength floor structure with "eight horizontal and seven vertical" elements. This structure is supported by key high-strength and ultra-high-strength steel components to create a robust and verifiable safety foundation. On the dynamic side, the front McPherson strut × rear five-link chassis layout is combined with multi-domain collaborative calibration to make every feedback from steering, braking, and body posture clear and predictable; users want consistency, not a single moment of inspiration.
In terms of battery life and charging, the EO Yiou brings "high quality" to everyday life: with a maximum range of 722 km, the EO Yiou is CCTA-certified, covering 99% of charging operators nationwide. It can efficiently charge from 30% to 80% in just 27 minutes and offers battery preheating and low-temperature charging. It also features V2L external discharge, providing power for practical scenarios like camping and outdoor activities.

From the launch of the Smart Elf 1 to the launch of the Smart Elf 5, the brand has been steadily reshaping its image.
As a new powertrain option, it shares the design of the all-electric version and retains its "time capsule" design language. Its boxy styling and frameless doors retain its distinctive character. A new fuel filler cap has been added to the right rear fender, and the front bumper features a matte brushed finish. New colors are available: Cangyan Gray and Xingsheng Blue. Roof-mounted LiDAR (on the top-of-the-line model) indicates intelligent driving capabilities.
Dimensionally, the new vehicle measures 4705x1920x1710 mm in length, width, and height, with a wheelbase of 2900 mm. This size is relatively large for a square, boxy model without a backpack, particularly due to the extra-large wheelbase ratio, which significantly improves interior space, and offers excellent practicality. From this perspective, plug-in hybrid power would be more suited to the "multi-purpose single vehicle" positioning.
The interior remains largely unchanged. An inclusive design, dual-layer island, dual 13-inch screens, AR-HUD, zero-gravity seat for the co-pilot (high configuration), front ventilation/massage, rear heating/electric adjustment, all continue the luxury details of Mercedes-Benz and are consistent with the 300,000 yuan market.
Powered by an EHD superhybrid system based on Geely's Thor Hybrid 2.0, this vehicle, officially claimed to "deliver the same performance as the long-range model while addressing its shortcomings," offers excellent performance in both pure electric range and overall fuel efficiency, with a pure electric range of 252 km, low fuel consumption of 4.4 liters per 100 km, and a total range of 1,615 km.
The launch of the Smart Elf 5 EHD is crucial for the entire brand as it will boost sales. It offers consumers a premium design and a suitable fit for families seeking long-distance economy, offering distinct advantages and disadvantages. However, the brand transition will also require acceptance of the growing pains. The new model's official launch is scheduled for October.

Powering this special 911 is a 3.8-liter flat-six with independent throttle bodies.
Theon Design strengthened the car’s chassis and added carbon fiber body panels.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
Singer may have started the Porsche 911 restomodding craze, but a slew of other companies have emerged in recent years with their own takes. One of the most prominent firms from the UK to do this is Theon Design and its latest commission, which took over 18 months to build, might just be its most impressive to date.
No doubt the highlight of the car is the engine. It is an air-cooled, 3.8-liter naturally aspirated flat-six that sports independent throttle bodies and develops 407 hp at 7,600 rpm and 293 lb-ft (397 Nm) of torque. While the 4.0-liter engine you’ll find in a new 911 GT3 has a 100 hp advantage, Theon’s car weighs just 1,150 kg (2,535 lbs), or some 312 kg (688 lbs) less, which clearly gives it a power-to-weight advantage.
Theon Design has added an adjustable exhaust to the car, allowing it to operate quietly in town or to scream when on the open road. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transmission.
There’s plenty more to like, too. The restomod has been fitted with a TracTive semi-active suspension that’s designed to cope with the poorest roads in the UK and even has a lift kit, perfect for navigating steep driveways and speed bumps. Stopping power is provided by the brakes of a 993-gen 911 Carrera RS and sits on custom 18-inch wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tires.
Like other projects from Theon Design, the donor car was stripped back to its bare metal, and the structure was strengthened with new seam welding. It has then been fitted with lightweight carbon fiber body parts painted in Ice Green Metallic, accented by Polished Eclipse Chrome elements.
The interior is just as much a work of art as the exterior. Highlights include Recaro CS seats with carbon fiber backs, gray Alcantara, custom-made gauges, and a hidden Alpine head unit complete with six Focal speakers.
Buying a Porsche from Theon requires a healthy bank account as its commissions start at £420,000 ($564,000) for Coupe models like this, excluding the cost of the donor car.
