I got a full time job editing videos so I haven't had the time or energy to do it much as a hobby, I know animash is always something I'll come back to sooner or later and I have some mep parts I'm working on right now so don't take that as "I'm quitting". Seriously though, I basically leared a lot of the skills I use at my job through masking and manipping so I'll always be grateful to the animash community for basically starting me on the path to my current livelihood. ❤️Also I get FREE and LEGAL adobe suite now which is why there's so much stabilised stuff

This started off as a way to experiment with effects/colouring and stuff but I ended up getting really into it especially since I used one of my favourite songs. I've always liked Video Games a lot and I think this cover is hands-down the best version of the song.It was also a nice break to do a video that wasn't ALL crossovers for once because while they're really fun to do they can be quite time consuming and I tend to run out of steam before they're done.Some of the adult ronno sections are...crunchy but I think I did OK considering how little there is of him to work with. DIAMONDS 💎 - MEP Part Munelight 2021-02-04 | OK I know I said no more uploading individual parts but I had to make an exception bc this was the first song I edited to and I feel like it shows my improvement very nicely. It's not quite how I hoped it would be but I'm still really proud of how it turned out. The manip at 0:04 has been in my drafts for like 7 months and I was pretty new to editing when I made it so it's a bit jerky but I still like it a lot. I also made the diamond transitions/graphics myself and they turned out quite nice! I did most of this at 4am while very sleep deprived so there are probably a lot of mistakes but I think it turned out ok in the end! This video was mostly inspired by Panthera's (thank GOD for all their oliver masks btw) old Simba/Oliver videos and Paradox MEPS mep of this song (it's an old favourite). I used a lot of effects and abused fade to black a lot so some of the details in the manips don't really show but I'm really proud of the kiss scene bc I made simba blush and erased timon's finger from his nose.Credit: Panthera, Servall

Also the eye manip I did with Zira is barely visible but I'm still proud of itThe storyline is borrowed from an AU I've been planning for a while in which Zira is Nala's replacement best friend/sort of girlfriend after Simba runs away. Nala dumps her for Simba after they find each other again but always feels slightly regretful about it. Seriously, she did amazing 10/10.Ugh, this was the first project I started so bits of it are...janky but I'm glad I finished it. This song means a lot to me and for some reason I thought cub Kiara went very well with it.The story should be pretty obvious, Kiara is a lonely child who creates an imaginary friend to keep her company. As an adult, she reaches her lowest point and finds she still needs him. (I was originally gonna do the whole song and there's another line that fits the last part better but I ran out of ideas 😭)I wanted to add some blurs and fades to the "film" portions of this edit, but it ended up detracting from the feel I was going for (something like a super8 camera) so it feels kind of jarring at times as a result. Other than that, I'm decently happy with this.
