Hyperkin was expected to make an announcement of the Retron 4 at Midwest Gaming Classic, but to everybody's surprise made an announcement for the Retron 5. Like the Retron 4 was supposed to include compatibility with the NES, SNES, Genesis, and GameBoy Advance, they added a slot for Famicom as well. Also supported are original GameBoy and GameBoy Color games, Sega Mega Drive games, and Super Famicom games.
