My first black MIDI with actual CC or Control Change. How? Python / Pydroid 3. I used a script where you can apply a MIDI CC to a certain target track name, then it'll apply it to whatever channel that track is using, and boom.

Even so, this MIDI only uses CC 72 (Release Time), which controls how long a note continues after it's released, and a little bit of CC 74 (Brightness / Filter Cutoff), which can make an instrument sound darker or brighter depending on the soundfont. When I finished the MIDI and applied them, IT SOUNDED SO GOOD LIKE WTF. Worth the blacking.

Yeah, this took way too long to load on MIDI Voyager Pro, but I finally managed to showcase it properly.

Fun fact (holy yap): while recording this so I can no lag, I thought the playback speed was set to 25%, but it was actually at 23% the entire time after I finished recording the midi. I did NOT want to rerecord 10+ minutes again just to fix that, so I ended up doing some math and speeding the video up to 4.30x in InShot to get it as close as possible to the original speed. Technically, the correct value should’ve been 4.35x, but InShot doesn’t support that exact decimal. Because of that, you may notice the audio and video slowly drifting slightly out of sync over time.

Anyways, another black midi showcase for now. It took a while to get the filter into a "golden" one in the video editor, which took me a lot of time with experimentation, but I finally did it. And yes, I also set the soundfont to be at 432hz, which was the original song's pitch. Ignore the chroma visual errors if you see one in the video, because I was at the lowest level for the notes to be fully visible.

Yep. I tried a different kind of MIDI this time, no Black MIDI and stuff.

I originally planned it to be a two-hand piece, but while transcribing and listening midway, I realized it needed more depth (for me). So, I turned it into a four-hand piano duet instead, since two hands alone didn’t sound full enough. It actually turned out pretty good.

The soundfont’s frequency is set to 430 Hz because the original song’s pitch is around that.

Note: The spatial echo effect you hear at the start isn’t part of the actual MIDI (if you're wearing headphones). I just added it to make it sound cooler and a bit closer to the original song.

I like KJ so I made this midi. I made the midi more traditional-like, put effort, and it turned out cool, pretty fitting for me. The note count was planned to hit exactly 210,000 notes (KJ Reference) mid-way the development but I passed it (since the note arts) and hit 240,040 instead. Yeah the number pattern is a coincidence, I think.

I created a softened version of my old midi (which was a year ago) because the original was unbalanced, with too many notes. The old version's midi and audio didn't fit well to the original song. So I transcribed the whole song into a midi again, and made it "soften" to make it more chill and less intense. I didn't add any note arts or black midi patterns (except percussions) because I wanted the new version to be more relaxed. I've been also running out of note art ideas, so probably in the future, I might upload my new midis without arts, though I'm not sure yet. That's all.
