There were some differences that were so much distractions for people who hadn't read the book, but stood out a bit once you did.Still, it's a great book and a great movie and the issues I had were less about quality and more just, maybe, my perception.

I THINK Neil Kleid wrote this with Brian Michael Bendis either overseeing it or giving his final OK. Whatever the situation is, it made me want to go back and read the entire Powers graphic novel series.UPDATE: Neil Kleid commented on Twitter (yep, I still call it Twitter) that both he and Brian wrote/worked on the book together. It was not fan fiction. Thanks for the info Neil!Also, I realized after I published, I should have been clearer when I mentioned fan fiction. It came from the intro where Neil mentions he likes the Power series and a character, toward the end of the book, mentions fan fiction. I was just thinking of it as writing something you’re a fan of, even if it’s in an official/professional capacity. Not so much people writing creepy stories about their favorite fictional characters boning.
