The program was filmed entirely on location over a period of many months on days when the park was closed or in the early morning hours before it was open to guests. This all musical, high production show featured several original songs and top-notch choreography. Many of Disneyland's in-house live performers were also featured. The program opens with a train journey around Disneyland, before making a brief stop on Main Street to hear some of its unique turn-of-the-century sounds. Disneys Halloween Hall O Fame Season 24 Ep 5 (edited) Keeping Walt in Disney 2024-09-28 | From Season 24 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program, we have Episode 5: Halloween Hall O' Fame which originally aired on October 30th, 1977. It's Halloween Eve at the Disney Studios and a lonely watchman and his guard dog patrol the dark and deserted hallways. Entering a room full of props, the watchman begins to play-act several roles with them, only have one other props come to life. It's a jack-o'-lantern inside a crystal ball, and it argues with him about the history and true meaning of Halloween, using clips from several cartoons to prove its points. Jonathan Winters is plays the roles of The Watchman and Jack O' Lantern. Due to copyright I had to edit out Trick or Treat (Disney+), Pluto's Judgement Day (Walt Disney Treasures DVD - Mickey Mouse in Living Color) and The Legend of Sleepy Hollow (Disney+).Unfortunately, I don't have the original version of the episode that aired in 1977. Many fans are on the hunt for this version since it included the popular Halloween short, Lonesome Ghosts. This syndicated version also doesn't include the post credits scene of where Jonathan Winters and the Jack O' Lantern switch back to their original roles. I'm also having trouble coming up with the exact date of this airing which I believe is some time in 1987 due to the commercials and ad for the Disneyland State Fair promotion. My best guess is October 25th, 1987, but according to references The Shaggy Dog Part 2 aired on that date. Disneys Superstar Goofy Season 22 Ep 19 (Edited) Keeping Walt in Disney 2024-09-05 | From Season 22 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 19: Superstar Goofy which originally aired on July 25th, 1976. The show includes footage from several Goofy sports cartoons as the Studio celebrates the 1976 Olympics. Spyros Olympopolus, our narrator, demonstrates how many of the ancient sports practiced in foreign countries have evolved into the games we enjoy today. Spryros illustrates this by using Goofy, who has tried almost every form of exercise at one time or another. Edited out due to copyright are the following shorts: The Olympic Champ (Disney+), Goofy Gymnastics (Disney+), How to Swim (Disney+), How to Ride a Horse (from The Reluctant Dragon on Disney+), Double Dribble (Disney+), Art of Skiing (Disney+) and The Art of Self Defense (Walt Disney Treasures Complete Goofy). This episode was released theatrically overseas in 1972. Disney Sunday Movie Double Agent Season 31 Ep 22 Keeping Walt in Disney 2024-09-05 | From Season 31 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 22: Double Agent which originally aired on the Disney Sunday Movie on March 29th, 1987. Jason Starr is an international spy. While on a mission there was an altercation and Jason disappears. His boss Vaughn then goes to his twin brother Warren Starbinder, a veterinarian, and asks him to pose as Jason to complete his mission. Warren agrees to do so but the talk will not be easy since he is not a spy. Warren also cannot tell his wife and family what he's doing which makes it hard for him to explain the peculiar ways he is now behaving. Disney Sunday Movie Bedknobs and Broomsticks Season 31 Ep 21 (Opening and Closing Only) Keeping Walt in Disney 2024-09-05 | From Season 31 of Walt Disney's Disneyland Anthology program we have Episode 21: Bedknobs and Broomsticks which originally aired on the Disney Sunday Movie on March 22nd, 1987. Angela Lansbury and David Tomlinson star in this 1971 theatrical release about an amateur witch who must use her mail-order magic course to stop a Nazi invasion during World War II. This film is available on Disney+ so we show only the Michael Eisner lead-in, opening segment and a revised ending for this broadcast. The theatrical release shows Professor Brown joining the Old Home Guard and marching off. Unfortunately, my copy of the episode doesn't include the closing credits...so perhaps the Old Home Guard song played during them...I'm not sure!The definitive release of the film can be found on the 2009 Disney DVD release, the "Enchanted Musical Edition" which includes the extended Portobello Road sequence and Prof. Brown singing "With a Flair." It has a running time of 2 hours 20 minutes, compared to the version on Disney+ which clocks in at 1 hour 57 minutes.

The Family Band Album (Walt Disneys The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band Bonus) Keeping Walt in Disney 2024-09-02 | Richard Sherman, John Davidson and Lesley Ann Warren recall the music and making of the 1968 theatrical film, The One and Only, Genuine, Original Family Band. This is a very entertaining look at a film that should be more widely known. Set in the late 1880s it is full of infectious Sherman Brothers' melodies and a story line centered around the 1888 presidential election that is both educational and fun! It's one of my favorite films and will having you dancing West o' the Wide Missouri for many years!

It aired again on May 16th, 1976 and then on May 6th, 1979 (this upload). This 1961 theatrical release stars Hayley Mills, Brian Keith, Maureen O'Hara and Una Merkel in a film about twin sisters who attempt to reunite their parents after having been separated as babies. This film is on Disney+ and so we only show the opening and closing of this 1979 airing. This 1973 theatrical release stars Bob Crane, Kurt Russell and Cathleen Cody in the story of a father who tries his best to find a suitable husband for his daughter, even though she is already very much in love with her childhood sweetheart. This film has had a DVD release and is available to purchase or rent on a variety of streaming services. As such, we can only provide the opening and closing segments due to copyright.
