What starts as a simple camping trip quickly turns into a full day of wash crossings, rough roads, dead ends, and one sandy turn-around that nearly gets me stuck.Along the way we set up camp, split wood, build a fire, and wake up the next morning to explore an abandoned school bus sitting out in the middle of nowhere. Inside, we find missing parts, commercial fridges and freezers, and some very random old cookbooks. After packing up camp, we continue exploring deeper into the desert, only to run into more difficult crossings, a railroad dead end, and one of the roughest roads of the trip.Eventually we make it to camp number two, get cleaned up, regroup by the fire, and cook up steak sandwiches with Julian pie for dessert… which did not go as planned later that night.On the next episode we take the e-bikes out to check out the petroglyph trail, stop to read some of the history of the area, and find a small cave near the head of the trail.
