Here's a summary of my thoughts from the video:
Don't go to university. Instead, focus on learning the skills you need to be a successful 3D artist through online courses and tutorials.
Don't spend a lot of money on equipment. You don't need a high-end computer to get started.
Don't rely on YouTube videos. They can be helpful, but they're not a substitute for a structured learning program.
Prioritize learning. Don't worry about finding a job right away. Focus on developing your skills and creating a strong portfolio.
Establish a learning pathway. Figure out what you need to learn and create a plan to achieve your goals.
Take paid courses. They're a more effective way to learn than YouTube videos.
Don't just learn 3D modeling or game design skills. You also need to learn how to sell yourself and your work.
Start getting used to social media tools for self-promotion. Post your work regularly and ask for feedback.
Team up with others to make a game or film. This is a great way to learn and build your portfolio.
Get quality feedback. Find an industry mentor who can help you improve your skills.
