Are Short Stories Commercial? #bookselling #popularity Books Songs and Other Magic 2024-09-15 | This is me asking the question on whether short stories are inherently less commercial than novels, simply by the fact that they are short story collections?It's something that I wondered while thinking about Harlan Ellison's critical popularity and general respect - mixed with almost everything being out of print and his books being so hard to get. I'd love to know your thoughts on what I'm saying here in the video.I kept it to science fiction, mostly, as making it more general would open a huge can of worms that I wouldn't do justice.
