Green screen for when you perform a stylish move in TTYD because it didn't look like anybody else did a good one.

- Damage perks first and foremost, as your damage output is hilariously low with just a Lemi and a dream.
- One speed boost if you can grab it, to help prevent dropping a combo. This isn't as important for the second series of levels compared to the first as damage is incredibly important.
- Tank perks. Death comes easily in the second series of levels.
- Whatever else.
Knife strats are a little risky in the second series of levels, because you die very easily. However, if you grab Blade Master and happen to see Masamune afterwards, this can very quickly kill bosses and big enemies.
Keep up your combo when you can, but don't sweat dropping it once in a while. SSS rank on the second series of levels is incredibly forgiving compared to the first set. (I think I even managed to get SSS rank by the end of the third area)
IT IS NOT IMPORTANT TO KILL EVERY ENEMY. This run in particular I ditched area 4 with 7 enemies left. It'll hurt your score a smidge to skip some enemies but risking death to tidy up comes with the risk of having to redo the stage again.

In area 2, if you manage to not drop your combo by the time you reach the room you cast molds in, you can entirely skip the left area and still get SSS rank.
IT IS NOT IMPORTANT TO KILL EVERY ENEMY. This run in particular I had to take the left path to get some extra kills for points (I was probably fine but I wanted to be safe), as I mentioned above you can skip the left path if you haven't dropped your combo by then. IT IS NOT IMPORTANT TO KILL EVERY ENEMY. This run in particular I managed to miss 9(!!) enemies in the final area. It's just not important to kill them all. It'll hurt your score a smidge for sure but wasting time to tidy up once you've already lost your combo is just wasting time points.

IT IS NOT IMPORTANT TO KILL EVERY ENEMY. In this video in particular I managed to kill every enemy, but frankly, it's just not important. It'll hurt your score a smidge for sure but wasting time to tidy up once you've already lost your combo is just wasting time points.
- Speed perks first and foremost. These are important to keep your combo going.
- Damage perks, for when there are no speed perks. Pistol Master, Shotgun Master, etc. If you've gotten a speed based perk you can take All Brawn, as you're still faster than your base speed with this equipped. I also count some of the yellow perks as damage perks, for example Magic Magazine.
- Anything else. Safety isn't important during these first four stages as you're probably not dying anyways.
Another strat you can try is knife only, but only if you get the necessary perks very early in the run. There's no point swapping to knife perks if you've already gotten a highly upgraded weapon to deal damage with from range.
The most IMPORTANT thing to do is KEEP UP YOUR COMBO. Occasionally I ignore an enemy for a moment while I loot or grab perks. This is so I can reset the timer on the combo once I'm done.
IT IS NOT IMPORTANT TO KILL EVERY ENEMY. In this video in particular I finish two different areas without killing everyone. It's just not important. It'll hurt your score a smidge for sure but wasting time to tidy up once you've already lost your combo is just wasting time points.
Which perks I prioritize for this stage:

Another strat you can try is knife only, but the effectiveness of that strat on the factory stages is limited, as there are a few enemies in area 2 that cannot be reached with the knife.

This is a speedrun of Resident Evil 5 on Professional New Game. This means I started the game without any of the New Game+ benefits. Setting this up is a bit tricky as you first need to
-Create a brand new save file by deleting or otherwise removing the old one (on steam I had to open the game in offline mode so it would actually create the new save, on console you can just create a new profile).
-You then need to join someone who has Professional difficulty unlocked at the start of chapter 1-1.
-If you're playing single player you're all set!
-When playing co-op, which is what I did, you need to have your buddy also be on their own fresh save file. This one doesn't require having professional unlocked since they're joining you.
I've also never speedrun this game before, though I have beaten this game casually tens of times. This is about as rough as a speedrun gets.
Also, the world record for NG co-op *veteran* is at the time of this upload 1:45:57 by LanceLM and Zener. Just to put into perspective how bad of a speedrun this actually is. Different category but same general idea.
