I picked this up for fun a few weeks ago just to try out a CO horrific because I've never really done one (except ToDD but that's like it's own thing) and it went pretty smoothly. It took me 18 hours over 10 days, and also I managed to beat it the night before I left for a 5 day vacation so that was a huge relief. The last jump fail was pretty annoying tho. I enjoyed this tower and I would recommend it for a 2nd or 3rd horrific, it's a bit hard for a first. All it took for me to start playing obbies again was seeing that my friend Aron (Ar0zn go watch him play coiv) was grinding it and also that I was getting a bit burned out with gd (did beat 20 extremes tho). I just started playing it for fun and all of a sudden got really really motivated having gotten to floor 8 within 3 days of starting. But little did I know, getting to floor 8 on this tower meant absolutely NOTHING. I had 15 hours of playtime when I first got to 8. When I beat it? 65. The tower is extremely poorly made and I wouldn't recommend it, but at the same time it feels necessary and I am very, very glad to have it done. It is not fun to play at all because you have lots of fails that don't just feel luck based, they actually are luck based. It would probably be better if the first 4 floors weren't so painfully boring. Also, I had one of the worst fails on this tower, ever. I failed the wallhop at the end of the last outside, which in my opinion, is worse than a last jump fail, because when you fail that you at least save. After failing that final wallhop it took 10 days and about 20 more hours to beat the tower. By the end of the grind I really, really didn't wanna play it and I was just playing for 1 or 2 hours a day, but all of a sudden, after not getting to 10 for nearly a week, I beat it. (I don't think ToVH on 75 is horri). Sorry for not making some special intro, I feel like all that needs to shown is what I say in the description. It feels really really surreal to finally be typing this description. This is the hardest thing I've ever done, by a pretty long shot. I started playing ToWM all the way back in August of 2022, up to late September. I had extremely good progress for the time, such as being the 3rd person to get to floor 7, and the 5th to get to 9. Also, me and tin had the first ever double 5 which was pretty cool. But, on September 24th, 2022, my progress took a massive halt. I got to 9 that day but after that I didn't feel like playing the tower that much, and I gradually played it less. From there on out I played the tower very occasionally up until a few weeks ago. At this point, I had gotten 3 floor 10 fails and around 20 floor 9 fails. What happened in these past few weeks was.. pretty underwhelming. I failed floor 9 DOZENS of times, always due to stupid things that didn't feel like they were in my control. I rarely got to 10, and when I did, I didn't get far. And then, on July 17th, something absolutely ridiculous happened. The first run of the day, 10 AM. I got to floor 10, and got a new pb. Mid way. Then.. an hour later.. I failed 10 jank (along with 3 other 10 fails). After this, I was determined to beat it with this crazy consistency. And, I did. After getting 7 floor 10 fails in only 3 hours, I beat ToWM. This took probably around 120 hours total, across 2 years. First off, I think I'm the 5th or 6th victor, not sure. I first played stone with InevitableMellow all the way back in late 2020 and got to floor 7 multiple times. However, I was on 240 fps back then and that means beating stone was basically extreme difficulty. Since then, I've gotten monumentally better at the game (and of course on 90 or lower fps) and I decided to come back to this and finally finish it off. However... it took one day. The winning run on STONE was the luckiest run I have ever had on any soul crushing tower, ever. Before the run, my PB was 7. In this run, I failed floor 9 3 times, and floor 8 twice. After the first 9 fail, which happened to be at the very very end, I was incredibly stressed about beating it that run or not, but in the end, I did. I don't think it's much of a surprise, but I would not recommend beating this. The grinding experience is pretty terrible because not long after you start playing it basically becomes automatic to get to 6, but it also takes 15+ minutes because of waiting on F4. 6 is the hardest floor by a mile. I just did this because it means a lot to me. And I didn't do it in CSCD because there's lots of lag there and I don't care about tower points. This tower is absolutely insane and the grinding experience is very weird. This took me only 2 weeks but it feels like I started the tower forever ago. I don't really know how I started grinding this but I just did. Probably because I was tired of not having beaten anything hard recently so I just hard grinded this. I'm gonna do a floor overview and it might be a bit of a rant. 1 (Difficulty: Mid Horrific) - Not that much to say, excluding 10 this is the hardest floor raw gameplay wise. Gets very consistent and is not that big of a deal after a while.2 (Difficulty: Midhigh Cata) 2 is really dumb. The slope flick down, jump to circle, and last all feel RNG even if they aren't.3 (Difficulty: Highpeak Terrifying) 3 is the easiest floor of the tower. Nothing to worry about.4 (Difficulty: Mid Cata) - This floor would be the easiest floor of the tower if it didn't have the unsafe, in my opinion. Failing the unsafe is one of the most annoying feelings in the tower, I don't know how to describe it. The wallhop on 4 is so overrated and isn't hard at all for me. Last ladder isn't that bad with the strat but it's just extra time. 5 (Difficulty: Lowmid Cata) - One of the easiest floors, only hard thing about it is the truss. Not so much jumping off of it but trying to not get pushed off while getting to the right position. Overall a fairly easy floor. 6 (Difficulty: Lowmid Horrific) - HELL. I had so many stupid 6 fails and it drastically brought down my enjoyment for the tower. Everything from somehow failing the first 2 jumps, the dumb head hitter which got consistent but failing it was SO ANNOYING, the jump after, which is the hardest jump of 6 in my opinion, the high jump wrap which feels super RNG, and the 2 last jumps. I failed 2nd last a lot but I saved almost every time. For some reason, a bit before I beat this, I failed the ACTUAL last of 6 twice in the same run. 6 has one good thing going for it though, it's super satisfying to pull off. Especially the truss. I wallhop saved a lot from 6 to 4 or 3 or 2 or even back to 6 start sometimes, so that made it a bit better. Anyways, sorry for the paragraph I just hate this floor.7 (Difficulty: Baselow Horrific) - Meh. I can go over all my fails on 7 right now: Failed 2nd head hitter once, got bounced on the climb thing once, failed the actual jump from it once, failed the next jump once, walked off the jump after that once, and failed the jump to truss once. 7 was overall just a fairly easy floor and learning it wasn't as bad as I thought it was gonna be. Being on 7 in a real run is super stressful though.8 (Difficulty: Low Horrific) - Not as bad as people make it out to be (6 is def harder). I failed the jump to the 1 stud shortly before first slope once and I failed the slope once. I don't have much to say because I only had 2 fails on it but it really isn't that bad with good strats. Shoutout to green btw for helping me on last of 8 in 2 different real runs. 9 (Difficulty: Base Cata) - 1st jump is so so hard. I got extremely lucky in this run by flicking, which was all nerves, I didn't mean to flick. But hey, it worked! My other 9 fail is the "my worst fail" and uh, I already talked about that.10 (Difficulty: Mid Horrific) - Hardest floor, but netted. I didn't practice 10 much but I don't think it was needed. First jump, walkaround, and last truss get annoying but they also get consistent. Took me just under an hour to do it in the real place.
