Lifting Pins and Needles 2023-02-02 | Grommets look amazing and are practical on hoods, hems and other areas of our clothes. I'm sharing how to easily install them along with a few tips & tricks. Also, see some examples of finished makes and a peek of some I have not yet shared on the channel. I'm also sharing when I would prefer a buttonhole to a grommet.I use grommets with 1/2" inner diameter and it works well with cords and drawstrings. I think 1/4" grommets are way too small. Fine tuning PANT FITTING. Poppy (Sinclair). No fuss waistband. Black Friday sale :) Lifting Pins and Needles 2022-11-24 | The Poppy pants from Sinclair patterns are super easy to fit and sew. I’ve perfected the fit after having made 2 last year and I’ve made 2 more! It’s all about “finesse” am I right? They are pull-on and have a flat front, elasticized back waistband, optional front slash pockets and back patch pockets. The legs are tapered and there are capri and full lengths in the pattern. I added split hem details in 2 different ways this time. You will see how to sew the flat front, elasticated back waistband with an easier technique and a focus on fitting: crotch front and back. Split hems or slits on the hems of pants. These can be on the side, inseam, the centre front or anywhere. I’m sharing how to sew them 3 ways so you can also have fun adding these to your projects. This event had been cancelled for two years due to the pandemic, but it was back this year and I was SO EXCITED TO GO!I got plenty of footage of the sights and picked up a variety of sewing related goodies. I'm sharing this today..It was HOT, I got a paper towel and dabbed my face and neck and part of it stayed stuck to me lol. You can see it...I never noticed until I started editing.
