Absolute Beginners Guide To Slide Hop and Air Strafe [Titanfall 2] [PS4] [Multiplayer]

But overall... how does this open beta feel? Does it deliver a satisfying and engaging experience for someone that has never played a Monster Hunter game before?
These are not easy questions to answer, but I'll share my thoughts after going through a quick re-play of the 1st (and easiest) monster in the open beta. -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming

That's the trick, though. Every time you die - and you will die. Over. and over. and over. and over. forever - you have a chance to buy new weapons, armor, and other power-ups that will help you destroy the wave of creatures that just destroyed you.
I recently picked up "Let Them Come" for PS4 - and by "recently", I mean I bought it a few minutes before I started up this stream. :) So let's take a first play through of this game, and see just how much fun it can be to destroy endless waves of alien creatures from a single, mounted machine gun!
Published by Versus Evil - a publishing company that specializes in indie games - this game is described as "a fast paced pixel art shoot ‘em up. Twitchy trigger fingers and focused battle tactics are the order of the day as wave after wave of alien-like creatures try to take you down."
While this game appears very simple on the outset - and a little slow paced at first, with a large dose of frustration built into your first and imminent death - there is depth to the strategies and tactics you must use by picking the right weapons, upgrades and bonus power-ups.
You have a limited amount of credits, built from your previous score, to buy items from a store. The best items will require many many deaths to save up enough credits. But the most OP items... they'll kill everything instantly, but without giving you credits in return.
And watch out for the boss battles! There's a trick to them, and each one is unique. Learn the patterns of the boss creature, experiment with different weapons and power-ups, and find the one weakness of the most deadly creatures, ever.

Please note that I do have an existing relationship with Versus Evil. However, I am not sponsored to play Let Them Come. I picked it up with my own $ on PS4 because this game looked like it would be fun to play and stream. It was absolutely worth every penny of the $7 that I spent. -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming
The end result of this video is a new CareBear emblem that I originally called "Bat Bear", but have since renamed to "The Walking Bear" - a reference to The Walking Dead, of course, since this bear is a zombie-bashing beast!
I hope you enjoy this creative stream using Call of Duty's emblem editor as the canvas. :)

But the gameplay is worth watching! In this short video, I managed to score all 5 Blitzball goals with Titan, taking the team to victory!!! :D :D :D
Of course, I wouldn't be able to do this without an epic team backing me up and getting all the kills. Check out the K/D of the team I'm playing with... 11-1, 5-1, 5-2... this team ROCKED and allowed me to get all the scores with the world's fastest aggressive Titan bliztball plays :D

Huge thanks, again, to Obelic for the heals, the shields and the awesome gameplay as BattleMedic. :)

Also, there's some rather opinionated commentary about CoD WWII in here - both in support of and against CoD. I'm sure I'll get all the hate for having an opinion, though. So yeah. There's that! :P -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming

The killstreak starts at 4:33 but it takes until around 5:19 to really get rolling.
Enjoy the Titan gameplay. It's EPIC! -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming
In this quick highlight from a stream, I managed to get an incredible path across the Red Falls map (Bloodmoon variation) using the inverted gravity outside of the map.
This will be a regular route for me now. Soooo good!

Honestly, I think this map is one of the most unbalanced in the game right now. In the half a dozen matches I've played, I have yet to see an even remotely close game. It's always lopsided and a total domination by one team.
I just happen to get lucky this time and I'm on the team that destroys.
But it was fun to finally win, and super exciting to get an S+ as well! So I have to share. :) -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming
I'm a pretty big fan of this map to begin with, and the BloodMoon variant? IT'S EPIC.
My team lost this match, but I had some good kills in here and I love this map. So I wanted to upload this in spite of the loss. I'm just glad this wasn't on Boss Leagues so it didn't destroy my Silver II ranking :)
Watch me embarrass myself with the absolute WORST assassin plays, EVAR! :D -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming
So, from the perspective of a fan - someone that plays this game nearly every single day - what are the reasons that you should _not_ buy this game?
In 2 words: Skill Required.
Find out what that means by clicking Play.
While I didn't directly score any points, I was able to move the ball plenty of times, and contributed to the overall security of our goal, defending it several times.
It was a fun match, in the end. Even if we had lost, it would have been enjoyable to see us making a comeback.

Playing Uplink on Red Falls - my current favorite map. There's some pretty good plays in here, including a kill streak and some great defensive and offensive plays to get the uplink back to our base. -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming

The end result is an S Rank Overcharge game with a 5 - 2 K/D and 14 objective plays for the win! I may not be in first place, but I'm still pretty darn proud of this match and how much I'm improving my Wraith.

While I'm still not even close to 'great' with Wraith, my gameplay is slowly improving. I may yet turn into a Wraith main, again.
3 out of 5 Blitzball scores, with 6 - 6 K/D on Mammoth.

In this epic battle, I play Titan (Cronos) in Occupy on Red Falls - my favorite mode on one of my favorite maps! And while the match does not start out terribly well, I eventually find my groove. With the support of an epic team, we pull a great comeback and turn the game around to get me my 4th ever S+ rank!

The question in my, was whether or not they would succeed in this.
I say: Yes!
This is my first match on the new map Namsan, with all of the updates and health buffs and weapon changes present in the patch 1.4 version of LawBreakers. And as you'll hear throughout the commentary (pardon the lack of at the start - too focused to speak), the increased time to kill and overall weapon balance changes are creating a much more chaotic, long-lasting and intense experience.
And this map - the vertical nature. The well placed jump pads to allow even the slow tank of Titan to move with fluidity and ease... this map is incredible and is perfectly suited to the intense combat dance that Bosskey is going for.
My only question remains: where's the zero-g zone? why isn't there one in the map? Perhaps the tight corridors are preventing effective use of it... but there are a few areas in which it could be done fairly well.
I'm still iffy about whether or not I like the health regen aspect. Maybe it needs to be cut from 20 to 10 to reduce the speed at which health regenerates. Maybe it needs to be capped at quarter health segments. Regenerate 76% to 100%, regenerate 51% to 75%, regenerate ... etc. Cap there unless you get healed by a teammate, health pickup or regen station. I think the healt regen, right now, makes the need for health stations nearly obsolete.
I need to play more. A lot more. :) But other than the health regeneration, I think this update is going to prove the haters and the people that wanted to really rag on it before playing, to be wrong.
And I have to say - this is a beautiful map! I love the night themed maps... the lighting, the color, and the general atmosphere is great. But more than just that, this map has an incredible amount of detail in that really sets it apart from generic, stock maps that you often find in other shooters. While it does feel like it was tailor made for the game modes in LawBreakers, with objective play, there are so many little details that come out and show you the amount of love and care that go into the map designs.
This isn't a stock map in just another shooter. This is a culturally sensitive, thoughtful and artfully designed experience.
From health regen for all characters, to a MASSIVE list of balance changes for nearly every class, defensive points for those of us that want to play goalie, a NEW MAP! and so much more, this patch is the largest since the release of the game and could set the trajectory for the game's teenage years, trying to find it's true identity in the world of shooters. -- Watch live at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming

It's a rather long video, but this one has commentary from my live stream. My strategy for this mode, right now, is to hide from everyone. Avoid other players until i have no other choice. Once I get to the end and there isn't much space left to hide, start building the hiding places.
If you haven't played Fornite, I highly recommend it! If you have it but haven't played Battle Royale mode, you need to change that! Yes, this game mode is pretty much a rip of PUBG, and I LOVE IT for that reason!
Come watch me when i go live, at twitch.tv/codeninjagaming
In the 1.6 release of the game, Epic Games has added what is legitimately a 90% knock-off of PUBG, but in the world, the physics and the construct/destruct environments of the zombie-husk killing, trap laying, epic grind of a game.
And I LOVE IT! :D
This is a game that I recently recorded just to show off some of what it's about. I don't do well - ranked #18 out of 100, but with zero kills. But I survived for quite a while, in spite of landing very close to some other players.
I'm thoroughly enjoying this game and especially this mode. And I highly recommend you check it out if you're at all interested in the Battle Royale genre of PUBG, H1Z1, etc.
It was a good match, over-all. There were times when I thought the enemy team was going to make a comeback. Fortunately, the twin Titan Cronos team managed to hold them off and score the victory with the rest of the team riding our backs!
Ok, not really - we had a good team overall. The other Titan, though, certainly did carry us quite a bit!

In this game of Occupy on Red Falls, I attempted to score points and get the enemy team off the objective as much as I could while my team initially didn't play much of the objective or dps. Bombchelle may be tough, but she still can't carry an entire team on her own.
Fortunately, around halfway through the match, the team picks up the pace and we start seeing some good plays and scores from others.
In the end, we still lost. However, my 26 kills and only 20 deaths just go to show how powerful the Titan class can be in good hands. I'm proud of the way I played, in spite of the mistakes I made (and there are plenty) and the final score of the game.
GG team. GG.

It's hard to break old habits, but this match showed me that when I can't just slam myself into the objective and take over immediately, I have to find alternative paths to win. Namely, kill everyone so that the objective is empty of enemies.
I'm not a great player, but this was a great match for me on all accounts. I hope you enjoy!
This was also my first match on the new Promenade night map. I LOVE this variant of the map and I hope to see more variants of other maps in the future of LawBreakers.

Not really. The team did great - especially the Battle Medic! I couldn't have done what I did without them constantly sending me those lovely healing orbs.
Plus, it was 5 on 4 so we had a real advantage. Stil, I had fun with this one so I wanted to show it off a bit.

The big news is the Role Limits! :D :D :D Starting monday, you will only see 2 of any given role stacked against you and stacked on your team. No more 4 Jugg + 1 Wraith stacks for BlitzBall. No more 3 Jugg + 2 Assassin stacks for Occupy. No more stacking of any role, beyond 2 per team!
There are some other great changes coming with this patch, even though there are no role balancing changes directly. I'm excited to see where this game is going and how well it is maturing, this quickly.

It was a well balanced match in terms of player points and skill - the kind of match that I love to play and can be proud of, in spite of us losing the actual BlitzBall match badly.
I've got my live commentary here, recorded from my Twitch stream where I talked about the update plan and what we can expect - including an in-depth analysis of what I think will be coming with the new Blitzball arena!
There's a lot of great content here, so be sure to stick around, and stay for the (not so) quick game of Blitzball at the end of the video.

Let me know if you like the idea of me posting random matches where I play well or just have fun - with or without commentary.
There's apprehension around a game that bills itself as a high-skill shooter, where the game is continuously discussed in terms like "high skill ceiling" and "skill floor" and "skill gap".
Having put 40+ hours into the game between the closed beta, open beta and final release, I wanted to share my thoughts on how you can get started with one of the easiest classes that still shows off the full range of combo attacks, fast movement and other aspects of the game: the Vanguard.
I'll show you how to get started, using the Bumper Jumper controller layout to fly, to extend your flight with jumps, to use pulsar to damage enemies and keep yourself from falling to your death, to get some killer combos with your chain gun and more.
I'll also talk about the comparison to Overwatch in terms of the meta of character vs character and whether or not you need to match a particular character against the other team.
If you're looking for an introduction to LawBreakers and don't know which class to start with, I can highly recommend Vanguard as a class that will give you the best of speed, movement, damage output and the overall LawBreakers game play feeling.
Please note that I'm using a standard PS4 - not a Pro - with a standard PS4 controller for this.
The content was also recorded directly from a live stream on twitch. Be sure to check out my twitch channel for more great live content and commentary!
