Testing the ANYCUBIC PHOTON M3 PREMIUM with a Giant head dio TOMs Modelling in Motion 2022-11-01 | 👉 The brand new Anycubic Photon M3 Premium is just online bit.ly/3FxZrsvThe Anycubic Photon M3 Premium is using the latest lighting technology developped by Anycubic, the LighTurbo 2.0, which provides above 90% light uniformity, 3° divergence angle only and much less stray light coefficient. Direct consequences: higher quality achieved on prints, higher details precision and fewer aperture patternsI tested the brand new Anycubic 8k 3D resin printer with a huge printing volume of 219 x 123 x 250 mm and x/y pixelsize of 0.0285 x 0.0285 mm.I chose to print a self designed "giant head" and museum files of the Laocoon group to get some interesting details out of the print. As you can see, the prints are very crisp, detailed and without visible printlines. The quality surprised me and I wonder how the over all even curing was achieved beside the impressive reslution.Anycubic developed a new kind of light set: The Anycubic LighTurbo 2.0. It is no longer working with a Parallel Light Matrix but with a brand new COB Light Source with a concave light mirror.The beam of light emitted by the COB light source is then processed by the mirror allowing a higher collimation before hitting the exposure screen.The best part of this is that the light uniformity is able to reach above 90%, a divergence angle smaller than 3° and a stray light coefficient of only around 1.26%.Direct consequences of this -More consistent print results: higher average light uniformity allowing higher uniformity of the details' texture and higher uniformity.-Fewer grid patterns or Aperture patterns : LighTurbo's average light dispersion value is around 36.205 much less than other systems value (Elegoo's COB+Fresnel Lens reaching 105.02)-Higher precision of details : with a stray light level of 1.26% lower that other brands 3.47%, it could achieve higher level of details and reduce the case of loss of print accuracy caused by semi-curing.I like the print results and the big vat with a huge volume which guarantees massive prints without need to refill. The air vents with carbonised filters are silient but very effective. All in all a high quality nice advanced 3D printer for my modelling activities. Stop-motion assembly: Revells Type D race car in 1/32 TOMs Modelling in Motion 2021-08-19 | Animation of Revell's plastic model kit "Auto Union Type D" with my little plastic fellow. I made some improvements by printing 3D parts with my ANYCUBIC Photon Mono X and green UV resin:- spoked wheels- radiator grill- windshieldThe car model is intirely painted with alclad II alu and silver. In addition I used Molotow's liquid chrome for some emphasizing and especially for the mirrors.Spokes and some cable simulations are made with material from Albion Alloys.Music is composed by my good friend Erick Miotke.The kit was a gift from my modelling friend Stefan Schacht. It was a pleasure to work with it as a base and get the chance to improve some details with additional materials. Hope you like my little experiments...
Behind the scenes: a SCIFI-Bike is made with Mono X and Vyper from Anycubic TOMs Modelling in Motion 2021-07-04 | For the 50th birthday of my friend Erick Miotke, founder of the EBM Band "TRIAL", I decided to bring the "SciFi-Bike" to life. A kind of jet powered vehicle which I created several years ago after the Band Logo's shape. The little vessel was designed in Cinema 4D and first took place in the band video "Deeper" performed in Leipzig, Germany, 2008.The video shows how I prepared the 3D file for the 3D printing with Anycubics Photon Mono X and assembled the parts to a display model on top of a base with a concrete 50. The dio base was printed with the new auto-leveling FDM printer Vyper from Anycubic. The spring steel magnetic platform guaranteed easy model removal - huge advantage for the compact diorama size. Lights and Reflection in stopmotion TOMs Modelling in Motion 2021-05-04 | BenQ lamp is assembling the Royal Voyager from TimeformachineWhen I came in touch with the beautiful LED lamp, (e-reading lamp), from BenQ, I initially thought of a little experiment similar to the lamp from pixar. Since the light's colors are changeable between cool and warm and the intensity could be dimed I wanted to use it as a studio light source as well. What kind of kit would have been better for the experiment than a car with bare metal full reflective. So my decision was clear. I had to work with the kit "Royal Voyager" from "Time for Machine" www.timeformachine.com, which I had in my stash...Please take a look at:facebook.com/timeformachine Since I worked with some additional lamps some sort of flickering occured during the stopmotion process. The BenQ lamp didn't cause the negative effects. Instead it was the only light source which guaranteed clean and stable light fantastic for the eyes. Japanese starfighter F-104J in 1/48 with stopmotion pilot - relaxing animation with special music TOMs Modelling in Motion 2021-04-04 | This clip shows the relaxing stopmotion assembly of the special kit from Eduard with some additional parts. After finishing the modelling process of the F-104 J I designed a boarding ladder and a pilot figure in the 3D program Cinema 4D. The pilot was animated with a walk cycle, a walk stop and a bowing for his supporters. My patreon supporters are eventually greeted by the figure which was printed on my 3D printer from ANYCUBIC. The Photon Mono X printed 115 poses for the Animation. My little plastic guy doesn't fit the scale exactly but could have taken a seat finally. He supported the assembling process parially and hat a lot of fun with the result.During the building process I was told the float was originally a rubber container supposed to hold the aircraft above the water in case of an accident during the channel crossing. Since I liked the copper more than a rubber surface, the float may look like a tank instead... The big print area of the ANYCUBIC Photon Mono X allowed up to 15 poses simultaneously and needed only 3 sec. per layer exposure. This led to a total print time of appr. 40 hours. The animation and composing process took four times the printing time though. After the initial little stopmotion animation the making of is being showed. Hope you like the experiment although it has nothing to do with my usual modelling work. Zoukei Mura provided me with the preproduction sprues in absolutely brilliant quality. It's some kind of "unboxing" with animated parts coming together to a beautiful model of the special edition.The F-4EJ was a modification of the USAF F-4E to fit the JASDF's needs, removing the ground attack function and aerial refueling. A data link was added to make the aircraft an interceptor. The "Kai" variation is a further modification to improve and modernize the F-4EJ. The modifications included the radar, FCS (fire-control system) modernization, navigation, communication system improvement, missile modernization, and bombing system improvement. As the JASDF's F-4 were updated to the F-15J and F-35A, fleets were reorganized, and the F-4EJ Kai aged, the number of F-4EJ Kai gradually decreased. By 2019, the 301st Tactical Figther Squadron of the 7th Air Wing based at Hyakuri Air Base in Ibaraki Prefecture was the only squadron equipped with F-4EJ Kai. TOMs Modelling in Motion 2020-08-29 | If you would like to support my channel please go here: patreon.com/toms_modellingor herepaypal.me/TomGrigatThis animation is about assembling the Junkers Ju-Ef 126 from "Das Werk" in scale 1/35.It was an eperimental fighter that was proposed as a response to the "Jägernotprogramm" or "Emergency Fighter Program" request for proposal issued by the Luftwaffe High Comand in 1944. While the initial design was supposed to use a single Argus pulse-jet engine, it was quickly found to be underpowered in that configuration. Various alternative propulsion options were explored, including a dual Argus configuration - a bit like the engine arrangement of the space ship enterprise...The type was to be built utilizing wood for the flying surface with an aluminium fuselage and key structural elements. 4 Schmidding rocket boosters were arranged circumferentially around the rear fuselage.I decided to build the little prototype situated in the manufacture around 1946 after world war two ended. The interior and the mechanics were digitally designed, animated and eventually printed on a Junco Evolution D 3D printer. Little blue bird - Kunkadlo from Eduard in 1/72 TOMs Modelling in Motion 2020-07-28 | A little assembling experiment of the special edition kit from eduard: "2020 Spielwarenmesse edition"...Construction of the Kunkadlo was begun by the brothers Bohuslav and Vladimir Simunek in 1926. The aircraft was completed and flown a year later. The initial flight was conducted by Major Skala, who would become known as a member of a later long distance flight from Prague to Tokyo. After the first flight, the wing position was changed in that it was raised above the fuselage and moved slightly aft. Vladimir Simunek took part in several air shows with this sport plane. The flying career of this noteworthy and unique aircraft ended in 1930, when issues began to arise with its glued construction. The airplane was restored in 1967, with the brothers themselves acting as advisers. Bleriot XI - assembled and eventually crash landed (1/72) TOMs Modelling in Motion 2020-04-22 | This stopmotion clip shows the assembling of a vintage old kit from 1965, the sketching of a diorama and the diorama itself. Many thanks to Dirk S., a good friend of mine, who gifted the little gem. He challenged me with this early piece of plastic modelling and I accepted - with the use of some additional parts from Brengun and lots of tiny rods and tubes from Albion Alloys.The book I used as a base is a very old collection of stories I found at a flea market in very bad condition. Therfore I had no worries using it as dioarama base. I hope you like my combination of several techniques and the story of a very old kit modified and placed on an old book.The Bleriot XI first flew in 1909 and was famous for it's flight over the English Channel. During World War II, black Americans in many U.S. states were still subject to the Jim Crow laws and the American military was racially segregated, as was much of the federal government. The Tuskegee Airmen were subjected to discrimination, both within and outside the army.This video is about the kit opponent of my recent animation of the Hobby Boss version were I had to add a lot of after market parts to get a good result. This Royal class kit from Eduard is so perfect detailed that assembling out of box has been better than the other kit with all the additional parts.
