In “Democracy: The God That Failed” Hoppe gave many, many arguments claiming that in fact a monarchy as we saw in the yesteryears of Europe did a better job at preserving the liberty and wealth of their people than modern democracy does. These monarchies are still very, very far from the ideal of voluntaryism, but a value-free assessment of the two systems tells you which is better, not which is best. Demystifying Economics - (Austrian Econ Basics #0) Ceadda of Mercia 2020-06-23 | I can't source it, but I once read a quote: "The field of economics only exists to employ economists". This sounds like funny hyperbole unless you've studied it at a university level, at which point you're the punchline, or you completely agree.
