A majority of their damage will be dealt through onslaughts of variable heavy timings, unblockable kicks and relentless trading with the character’s Hyper-Armour. Due to its aggression, the Hitokiri has a reliable source of stamina that depletes at an easy, reasonable rate, emphasising the character’s purpose. The demon of a Samurai is meant to be an executioner, an ideology that shows through the character’s moveset, consisting of many heavy attacks that will grant you an execution on kill. The lack of counter-attacking abilities propels the playstyle of the average Hitokiri player to be aggressive in order to deal damage to their opponent, which is as clarified, intended. Should the Hitokiri be defensive at all? Of course. As with all characters, a somewhat ultimate balance between offense and defense is always healthy. The Hitokiri has no unblockable opener that guarantees an entry into the character’s mixups; the demon’s mixups are entered through first initiating with a Light or Heavy Attack. Anything thrown out from a neutral stance has risk to it being countered, but not when it is guaranteed from countering an opponent’s attack first, such as parrying. Once the Hitokiri has parried an opponent and administered either a Light or Heavy attack, that is when the onslaught of attacks should begin in order to unlock the character’s full potential when being defensive.

I've found an abundance of players who start to turtle up when I gain the lead in a match and who can blame them, they aim to win. [For Honor] - PEACEKEEPERS LETHAL REWORK - Peacekeeper Gameplay (Season 6) EternalCookie 2018-05-20 | So I picked up the new Peacekeeper and tbh I'm having a ton of fun with her. I have yet to nail down some of her mixups, but as a Valk Main - landing lights is a big deal so excuse me for wanting some satisfaction in the "FeelsBad" life.Nevertheless I have found a mixup with PK that catches people more often than not, it's a light (usually after a heavy parry) into a heavy feint into a heavy cancel into bleed. I try not to do it more than 2 or 3 times a match however, as my opponent will usually land the parry on the bleed cancel and make me wonder where my health went. And trust me, it can go fast if you're not careful with Peacekeeper, which is another thing I like about her rework. Before her rework, her low health wasn't so much as a problem because her damage was pretty high and she'd most likely kill you before you got a chance to touch her. Quick tip for those of you who wanna start using her, the sweep you can do in her normal mixups is hella predictable, even more so without delaying. However, the sweep you can do after an uncharged shield tackle (Valk's all guard mode charge attack) can still be decently delayed, that's why compared to my older gameplay, I'm starting to use shield tackle more often when I wanna sweep someone. It's performed by dodging into an attack at the right time and pressing the heavy attack button. From there you have two options. 1, a guaranteed shield crush (guardbreak button) to drain your opponent's stamina and flow into some sweet mixups. Or 2, perform a dodge attack in any direction that isn't the one your opponents guard was already in if you wanna get some more damage in. And yes, it's guaranteed so long as you dodge attack in the right direction.For those of you wondering, I'd do a deflect into shoulder pin (or guardbreak depending on your situation) over a parry since it's Valk's highest damage dealing counter attack at the moment.
