I used both FEET and HANDS to draw 6 realistic portraits upside down rajacenna 2022-08-13 | I love to challenge myself so I thought why not try for the first time painting with my feet while drawing in a realsitic way + upside down and also one drawing in 3D. This time I made 6 portraits: Bella Poarch, Harry Potter, Billie Eilish, Wonder Woman, Shakira and Angelina Jolie. It surprised me how much control I was able to have over my feet, something I never realized before. All that time I was drawing while I thought my feet were useless with art and now I discovered they can do way more than I thought! I think if I paint more often with my feet I can really improve. I'm of course way better with painting with hands but painting with feet was so much fun! I hope you like the video. I will upload a 40 minute version of this video soon :)
Trying oil painting for the first time! 😱 rajacenna 2023-11-09 | This is my first attempt of oil painting, and it was so much fun! I didn´t spend a lot of time on each painting because these 3 paintings were just to practice. I learned a lot from it and I can´t wait to experiment some more! I started painting a bit late in my life probably, I´ve always been into drawing since I was 16 and then I started painting with my feet for fun. Only after this is I started thinking about giving painting a try with ,my hands and see what happens.. Better late than never! I still have to learn and practice a lot but that what makes it fun and exciting and I think I can be more creative with it in future and I will spend way longer on a painting, I have so many ideas! I hope you like the video for now and maybe it inspires you to give painting also a try? ❤️ I used Rembrandt oil paint on a beginner canvas (That was already painted black) I used no mediums (because I don't know how to use that yet). I just used a bunch of random brushes (some are not meant for oil paint but it worked fine for me), black liquitex gesso and cleaned my brushes with vegatable oil soap.

Gold leaf is incredibly thin and delicate so I really had to get used to it but trying new things is part of experimenting as an artist and I hope to use it in future artworks. I didn´t want to try it in a project that I worked on for hours so I wanted to try it in a quick sketch. The moon is made of golden acrylics, gold for me symbolizes something that is really valuable. And what is valuable for the woman in the sketch is the wisdom she gained after experiencing hardship, so the tears turned into gold: The difficult times turned into wisdom.

While working on the paintings I first tried to simplify the part of the shadows and drew the shapes of the darker parts and I could finally fill them in with more paint and blend it better together. I still needed to add more details but I did that on the end of the project. I was also halfway on the 3 drawings, but it still needed to be darker and have more constrast. Real time - drawing with feet - The Woman King part 2/5 rajacenna 2023-04-08 | In this part I was still working on the faces of the paintings and was really busy on the 3 drawings, those portraits had so many tiny details that it felt like a puzzle. I was a bit slower than the other days in this part and I also sometimes made weird faces because I was having period cramps and felt a little sick, but I had a deadline so I continued working on the project. When you see me walking away I clean my brushes and put new paint on it and I'm also checking my cameras (will turn them on and off because they can't record for a long time). This is part 2/5. I paint 4 portraits with my feet and 4 pencil portraits with both my hands. I show a short version in the beginning and a longer version in the rest of the video for the people who are interested. In this video I draw Audrey Hepburn, Justin Bieber, Harry Styles, Zendaya, Elvis Presley, Khaby Lame, Marilyn Monroe and Albert Einstein. Real time - drawing with feet - The Woman King part 1 rajacenna 2023-03-23 | This was my second time of trying to draw with hands and feet. This video is the first part. the beginning stage of the project The Woman King. (as you can see it's a very slow process in real time but this way you can see the slow painting process a bit better) maybe I will do a tutorial in the future, but this way you can see better how much work goes into a project like this. It's not only drawing but half of the time I'm mixing paint, cleaning brushes after 5 - 10 minutes, thinking, looking if my cameras are still recording and turning them on and off, cleaning the paper or canvasses or floor, adjusting the brushes to my feet, sharpening pencils and having tiny drawing breaks. I'm easily bored and it's a bit hard for me to sit still for a long period of time and just draw and only focus on one thing, so this a very fun way to make art for me. I love the challenge and that I'm constanly busy and that I can see some improvement with my feet and I'm learning something totally new. It's a very interesting experiment. It's like a yoga practice sometimes. Drawing like this takes me many hours to complete but normally in the past when I would work on just one drawing with one hand I sometimes can work on 1 portrait for more than 40 hours... when you draw realistic, even working on 1 portrait, patience is always important if you want a realistic result. In this video I have the feeling I draw a bit better with my feet than the attempt before this, (or at least with more confidence) than with the 6 portraits. I also experienced more control on the movement on my feet than the first try. It's a very fun challenge! I think the hardest part is beginning a new project so I always start of a bit slow because I have to think about so many things at the same time and I'm slowly building up more layers and details as I'm further in the process to get a (hopefully) realistic result. I'm sorry to bore you with such a long video but maybe some people are interested in seeing this in real time. (Now looking back I just see I made the mistake in the beginning to use small brushes on big areas, a bit of waste of time, luckily I learned from it and now use normal size brushes, I also never painted portraits before even with my hands so this alone was a learning process for me!) I was asked by Sony Pictures to create these drawings and paintings with my feet and hands and I really loved this project. Real time - painting with feet - 6 portraits part 1 rajacenna 2022-08-30 | So this is the first part of the real-time footage of me multitasking on 6 potraits simultaneously. It's a very slow process in real time. I never painted with my feet before and I never even painted a portrait before with my hands, (only drawing) so acrylics were also still a mystery to me. I only briefly painted a (quick) eye with my feet on a piece of paper; so I knew I could do it but how and what I could expect was still a surprise. These first few hours were the hardest and started out really slow. Only in the beginning of this project I got paint everywhere which only happened the first few hours because it was all so new for me. I started out attaching the paint brushes to my feet with tape but I had less control over it and it was a lot of work because I had to renew them when I cleaned the brushes so I started using kneaded eraser and that worked a lot better! My walk in the intro of the video was kinda awkward but luckily further into the video I discovered it was way better to just get them off when walking. I have to get up a lot to clean my brushes. After 3 minutes the paint dries which is neccesary because I can rest my foot on the canvas but it's a lot of work because I have to get up so often. Drawing in general takes a long time of course and sometimes I work on drawing for more than 100 hours, this took me more than 20 hours to make. It might look like I'm bored because it's a slow process but I was also listening to an audiobook, so I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot about cleaning brushes, using paint, trying to balance and control the movements of my feet, making new connections in my brain. So many new things, I learned so much from it. I really love to challenge myself and get better in creating portraits in creative ways so that's why I wanted to try this. The beginning was hard but then it got a lot of fun and it was cool to see improvement in my feet and that I had way more control over it when I was almost done.
Creating with both FEET and HANDS 6 realistic portraits upside down - 40 minute version rajacenna 2022-08-16 | I made a 40 minute version for the people who are more interested in the process of the 4 drawings and 2 paintings I made, you can see more clearly what I'm doing when it's slowed down of course but probably a little bit more boring then an one minute clip😄. A lot of work goes into making 6 artworks of course and it took me more than 20 hours, in this video you can see that I have to get up a lot to clean my brushes so I can use them again with fresh paint, a lot of sharpening my pencils and sometimes I have to adjust the brushes on my feet. The paint dries really fast which is a good thing so my canvas stays clean when I rest my feet on them but the downside is that my brushes gets dried up really fast so I have to get up and clean them many times. I'm switching my focus back and forth constantly between the 6 artworks and I'm not really thinking about what I'm doing, I just let it go and enjoy my audiobooks while I'm working. I constantly switch to drawing with hands and then back to painting with feet, every few minutes (I think). Drawing 4 artworks with both hands upside down rajacenna 2022-07-30 | These 4 drawings are made simultaneously with both hands upside down and I only used colored pencils. I really love to make art in a creative or special way but also stay productive so that's why I love to work on multiple drawings. I love multitasking! I really like working in this kind of way, it's never boring and it keeps me busy and my mind focused. Angel of Hope ✨The meaning behind this artwork is to show that there is always hope in difficult times. The pink means softness, compassion and kindness. We see the clouds almost completely dissapearing and in the left corner there is a sunrise showing, symbolizing new beginnings. After a dark night, the sun will always shine.The angel is in a hopeful praying position, showing that sometimes we are searching for hope and meaning. Feathers are associated with guardian angels, that's why she has also a purple feather in her hair and of course her lilac feathered wings. She faces towards a water with a lotus flower with light coming out of it. The water meaning the endless possibilities and the flower stands for overcoming difficult times. The little lights that slowly appear out the lotus flowers symbolizes hope and blessings that can appear in the most simple things in life as long as we keep the faith. The sun will always rise and sparkles of hope can appear. Fairy of dreams ✨A woman with fairy wings is sitting in the clouds and a planet with a castle is behind her in the starry sky. It’s an artwork about following your dreams and goals, but that the journey is sometimes even more important than the dream itself. When following your dreams sometimes you realize it’s more important to follow your blessings and to do the things you truely love doing, doing things with intrinsic motivation. That’s the meaning of the light she is holding. Flower Fairy ✨A woman with fairy wings who enjoys nature and the spring with an owl on her shoulder. Of course we all know flowers are one of the most beautiful creations in nature. We often forget about that they smell as amazing as they look. Sometimes it is so necessary to walk in your garden or other places and just inhale the fragrance of pretty colored flowers. It would be even nicer if the universe would decide to let it rain flowers instead of rain drops from know on. The painting shows how it would look like after a flower rain. Moonlight Fairy ✨A fairy who makes music on the moon with the infinite universe and stars behind her. I made these realistic pencil drawings using only pencils with both hands simultaneously. I used Faber Castell and Caran d’ache pencils on Strathmore paper. Every week for the past 3 months I went to the intratuin (garden center) with my grandma, they have such beautiful Christmas decorations there and I always love to buy something to add to my Christmas village and get some inspiration there. You can see the clips from the intratuin in my video. I always love to make a miniature Christmas village every year and I have an area dedicated to the Efteling miniatures.
