Tanjung Rhu Resort, Langkawi | Where to stay in Langkawi Puri and Sue 2022-11-08 | Staying at Tanjung Rhu Resort was one of our most memorable moments during our trip to Langkawi. ➡️SUBSCRIBE for more videos:- youtube.com/puriandsue---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------On our last day in Langkawi, we decided to pamper ourselves at this secluded 5-star resort, situated at Tanjung Rhu beach, which is one of the best beaches on the island.➡️ Driving to Tanjung Rhu ResortThe journey to Tanjung Rhu Resort was a little interesting as we needed to drive past a foresty area, and not far from the resort, is the Kilim Geoforest Park where we did our Mangrove Tour earlier.➡️ Things we did at Tanjung Rhu Resort1. Kayak - We rented a tandem kayak for RM40 (1 hour) on our first day. There are ATVs and paddle boarding available for rent as well.2. Enjoy the Beach - On our 2nd day, we took a stroll along the beach, sink our feet in the soft warm sand, and enjoy the beautiful weather after breakfast.3. Pool - Tanjung Rhu Resort has two separate pools. There is this pool called, the Sunset pool, meant for Families and kids, and another called the Sands Pool meant for Adults only. Great place to hang out, take a dip in the pool and enjoy some drinks at their pool bar. ➡️ Tanjung Rhu ResortRoom Type: Bayu Senja Suite- We paid a total of RM 480 / USD 114.63 for 1 night in Jan'22 (including Breakfast for two), however, the price has increased since Malaysia borders opened.- We booked directly through the official website, but you could also check other online booking platforms, such as Agoda and Booking.com to compare the best deals.

They've been selling this dish for a long time in their original stall at Jalan Tun H.S. Lee. We visited their newly opened branch which is just a 5-minutes walk away from the original stall. This dish is rich with the lala (clam) broth cooked with a generous amount of Shaoxing Wine (a type of Chinese glutinous rice wine) and ginger. They’ve got about 6 items on their menu. Apart from their signature dish; Lala Bihun, there’s also lala fried rice, lala fried bihun and prawn noodles. The stall is located at a food court next to the main road but it’s a little downhill and may be quite easy to miss. The stall is run by Abang Jamal, who is a Chinese Muslim and he had been cooking Halal Hokkien Mee for over 10 years. It is very popular among the locals so do be prepared to expect a crowd. We extended our stay in Pulau Tioman for a few more days to explore more dive sites but to make it even more meaningful, we took up another dive course with B & J Diving Centre; the PADI Enriched Air Diver course also known as Nitrox. The benefits of diving with Nitrox are honestly quite technical and it makes more sense once you've done the Open Water Diver course. The entire course is mainly theory and there's a final exam. It wasn't difficult as our instructor was very involved and guided us step by step and answered any questions we had. Our stay at Tioman Dive Resort was very comfortable and relaxing but since we're extending our stay, we upgraded to a bigger room which was the Executive Triple Room. This gives us more bottom time compared using normal air. It is also PADI's most popular specialty course and it only takes about a day to complete. We're taking up the course with B&J Diving Centre in Pulau Tioman, Malaysia. They're a 5-Star PADI Instructor Development Centre, where they cater a wide range of PADI courses; from beginner diver to dive instructor.
