As @Odd Chap said: "Right before I even started making electro swing I was listening to @LyreLeTemps (in particular "Looking Like This" which i stumbled across on Funky Pandas channel) which helped hook me into the electro swing genre and showed me how you could blend electro swing with all these different styles. This was early/mid 2015. Fast forward to 2016 and they drop their Prohibition Swing single and album and it completely blew me away, i listened to it soooo much, especially during the time when i was helping to work on Offbeat's album (poor Offbeat is still probably sick of that album i played it so much haha). But I absolutely love their sound."

"Three years ago I took on a huge task of making an original album. I never knew it would be as hard as it was. Traveling back and forth from Bristol to London, spending way over budget on: features, rehearsals, tech, promo, music videos, artwork the list is endless.
It also didn't help being made redundant a week before furlough came in. But I'm not complaining, I get to do what I love and this has been my everything for the past three years. I've learn a hell of a lot in terms of song writing and music production and that is invaluable. I feel I've got my dream team."

Mixing vintage vaudeville vibes with Electro Swing, GOLDEN SOUND is a collaboration with ELLE & THE POCKET BELLES and joins previous singles like DRIVE, DO WHAT YOU DO, SHAMBALA and ABOUT TO BLOW on the debut album.

BIO:

MISTA TRICK had already made a reputation for himself as a DJ on the festival and club circuit with his joyous and cheeky bootleg Drum & Bass remixes when he began to add musicians, rappers and a vintage style vocal troupe, Elle & The Pocket Belles, to his live sets. Gigs at Boomtown, Shambala and many more followed and the expanded sound notched up a few underground hits and Electro Swing remixes through Ragtime Records, Freshly Squeezed and Wagram, Paris. Complemented by his solo outings now additionally a VJ spinning mash-up classics in his own inimitable style, he became instrumental in developing the popular Swing & Bass label and club night based at Hootananny, Brixton.

Behind the scenes MISTA TRICK has been creating his debut album. Instead of remixing and borrowing from vintage jazz classics, he took on the difficult task of making his own originals before adding his now trademark Swing & Bass sound. What emerges is a highly convincing homage to the sounds of the 40s and 50s big band jazz vocal, given a massive 21st century dancefloor shot-in-the-arm.
