Albany 2013 50BMG 200 round burst StraightShootingTalk 2013-08-21 | This shows the loading and firing of a 200 round belt of .50 BMG ammo through a water-cooled Browning Machine Gun!The gun is mounted in a rare anti-aircraft mount commonly called the Tora Tora mount.The gun was made by Frigidaire, the fridge people, during WW2.This was at a full auto event in Albany OR. The Albany Rifle and Pistol Club have a large 2 day shoot every May.In the still photos following the video, you can see daylight through the car target! It got sawn in half!EDIT, --- I cleaned up a LOT of arguing and silly comments. And I'm not above doing it again!---There is a lot of speculation about how much this cost. Firstly, it is his hobby, so who cares what he spent. Second, he does reload, so the cost is not nearly as expensive as many guess it is. By using recycled military "pulldown" components, he is able to keep it to UNDER $1 per round. BTW, this was not the only 200 round burst he did at this event. IIRC, he went thru ~2000 rounds of .50BMG and upwards of 6000 rounds of .30-06 reloads thru other beltfeds he owns. B17 B24 B25 Collings Foundation B24 Walk thru StraightShootingTalk 2015-08-03 | These three WW II bomber aircraft belong to the Collings Foundation. They travel around the USA as part of the Wings of Freedom Tour. This stop is in Bellingham WA. They also had a P-51Mustang there also.I was fortunate enough to be able to walk through the B-17 and the B-24. (The B-25 was not open for walk-thru's.)This shows all 4 planes from outside, then a look INSIDE the B-24.(If you have already watched my B-17 walk-thru, youtube.com/watch?v=6idwf9jYqOAjump ahead to 3:15, as the beginning is the same.)There are also a few stills of the B-24, as well as the B-25 and P-51 that joined the tour.And once again, sorry for the harsh wind noise from the internal microphone. I plan on upgrading my camera soon. I want to be able to mount an external mic with a foam windscreen.

(a division of Crosman Corp)Not a bad entry level PCP gun! Up until fairly recently, PCP guns were really expensive, but this one offers a lot of gun for a reasonable price.I see this being sort of comparable to a Ruger 10/22, in that it is a good solid platform but not a really flashy deluxe show piece.

Daisy VL system explained StraightShootingTalk 2013-10-20 | The Daisy VL system was a unique Caseless ammunition system that appeared in the late 60's.It used the heat created when air is compressed to ignite a small solid propellant molded to the back of a .22 calibre bullet. The air was compressed by a slightly modified spring powered air rifle.The system works, but it never really caught on, and the gun was discontinued around 1969.
T97 NSR StraightShootingTalk 2013-10-03 | The long awaited Chinese Type 97 is now available in Canada.The T97 was sold for a short time in 2007 and 2008.It was then ruled prohibited by the RCMP, as the trigger mechanism was deemed too easy to convert to full auto fire.A Canadian importer, North Sylva,worked with the manufacturer to redesign the trigger group. The T97 NSR (North Sylva Rifle) has now been approved for civilian sale by the RCMP.SST had a chance to view and test fire this rifle in late Sept 2013, very shortly after they first appeared.Please note that a cheek riser has been added, so the profile is slightly different from normal. A MagPul CTR riser was slightly modified to suit.The T97 NSR is based on the T97 military rifle, which is itself based upon the T95 Chinese service rifle.

As non Incendiary or HE ammo is so hard to find, I have not fired it yet in the six years I have owned it. I finally located some reloaded ammo, made with solid brass bullets.What a rush!This is the bolt action PTRD. There is also a semi auto rifle called the PTRS.This one was designed by Degtyarev, the other was designed by Simonov.
T-55 tank vs cars! StraightShootingTalk 2013-06-24 | A Czech built version of the Soviet Russian T-55 main battle tank crushes three vehicles at the Cloverdale Royal Canadian Legion hall in Surrey, BC ,Canada.The event was an open house at the Legion, and the tank was also doing a fund-raiser for the Surrey Food Bank.The tank is owned by Blueleader Enterprises, a movie prop company in Vancouver, BC.EDIT. Since this was filmed in 2013, this tank was repainted dark green for use as a "North Korean" tank in the movie The Interview.(Someone else's video youtube.com/watch?v=thZyzJy70RM )Now you know!

It shows a Class 3 dealer getting a Browning M2 "Ma Duece" heavy machine gun ready for a customer, who then fires a 100 round belt through it.The gun has a few issues at first with feed problems, but runs smoothly at the end.The targets are scrap cars. slidefire SHOT 2012 StraightShootingTalk 2012-12-30 | The Slide Fire aftermarket stock allows civilian semi-auto rifles to simulate the effect of full-auto fire! As the gun recoils, it slides back and forth in the specially designed stock. As the gun recoils, the shooter's finger comes off the trigger, allowing it to reset. Then, as the recoil pulse drops to zero, the left arm pulls the gun forward again, tripping the trigger. In the video, I ask about the sight picture as both front and rear sight are shunting back and forth with the rest of the gun. It works well, and it is FUN!It is avail for both AR and AK rifles.
