Voron Stealthburner Neopixel Soldering and Wiring Tutorial Gregs Maker Corner 2023-12-03 | In this video, I walk through the steps necessary to solder the wiring to Neopixels, and to install/fit into the Stealthburner. This is the first video in a series where I am upgrading my Voron 2.4 toolhead (which was a beta Stealthburner) to the latest and greatest Stealthburner, including TAP, Neopixels, and a CAN Board (BTT EBB36). I will be walking through a full tutorial for all parts of the upgrade.Regarding the Stealthburner / Neopixels- you can source neopixels and wiring for under $10. Or, you can spend a little more and get a premade harness. I did not have a good experience with my last harness which had several cold joints, so this time around I decided to solder it (since I had to re-solder my harness anyway).Is this a good project for a beginner? If you are new to soldering, this may be a bit of a challenge, but I do hope this video convinces you that with the right technique and approach it's not difficult! While the wiring in my video works great for my setup USE AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS.This video picks up from Part 3 and shows the remaining wiring. I also walk through installing the heated bed which I save for late in the build (since it is quite heavy!). I show how to get the CPAP fan installed. After the wiring I cover a quick highlight of imaging the Pi, compiling firmware, installing KIAUH for klipper, and then plugging in my device ID into the printer.cfg file. I don't cover all this step by step because I assume you are probably familiar with this already if you are building a VzBot. After you get your printer up and running and configured, spend the time calibrating the rotation distance, extrusion multiplier, syncing the motors. I did run into a few issues as noted in the video (two of the 1515 tophat extrusions were warped/bent, and the Bondtech gear was not quite as expected). Voron 0.2 Build Series - CAN Bus Toolhead Wiring Gregs Maker Corner 2023-03-12 | In this video I go through the process of wiring the CAN Bus Toolhead. I compare the Mellow Fly SHT36 V2 and the BTT EBB 36, which I ultimately ended up using. However, both boards are great and I'd recommend either one- whichever you feel most comfortable with. Hopefully my video gives you information to make a good decision.The stock Voron 0.2 does NOT utilize a CAN Bus toolhead. This is "probably" overkill. I wanted to do it because I wanted to get some experience, and I like the idea of only running 4 wires instead of "every" wire for all the things (Thermistor, Hot End Fan, Part Fans, Heater Wiring, Motor Wiring- which is at least 12 wires). Part 11. Voron 0.2 Build - Mini Stealthburner Gregs Maker Corner 2023-02-22 | In this video I go through the process of assembling the Mini Stealthburner, followed by installing a dragon hot end and setting it onto the Carriage. (The steps will be similar for other hot ends as well). This is a very detailed walkthrough and I try to follow just about every step in the manual. I show some tricks that I use to safely install heat inserts, using a simple bic style lighter and a long m3x40 screw. Voron 0.2 Build - Heated Bed and Cable Chain Install Gregs Maker Corner 2023-02-20 | In this video I go through the process of installing the Heated Bed into the Kirigami frame.Since my Voron 0.2 is self sourced, I didn't have pre-cut cables. Part 9. Voron 0.2 Build - Cross Beams & Belts, Belt Tensioning Gregs Maker Corner 2023-02-19 | This video covers finishing up the X Axis assembly (with the Cross Beams) and then the belts. The belts are one of the more challenging parts of the Voron 0.2 build. I have tried to cover all the insights I have learned through trial and error after building several Voron 0's. I do not go 100% by the manual, but pretty close. I hope some of the tips and tricks I show in the manual help you with your build.A note on tuning the belts: Pano Tuner will help you get in the right ballpark / range for your tension. If your phone or tablet app is having a hard time picking up the frequency, try to listen to the belt as you tune it, and hum the frequency. It is important to be in the range of 110-140 hz. I wouldn't recommend going over that- loosen the tension if you are. The most important thing is getting the tension "equal" so the frequency should be the same on both belts. It is also important to make sure you have no gaps on the back or front of the gantry, when you push it fully back or forward. If you have gaps but the frequencies are the same, you are out of square. You may need to go back to the "Squaring" section of the manual on page 119, and then retension. It is important that both belts are equal tension (frequency) with no gaps. Getting these parts put together can be a bit of a challenge, due to the small m2x10 screw. I found it easier to tighten the m3 screws used to hold the bearings stacks before installing the m2x10 screws.After you install, if you have any kind of alignment or binding issues when moving the X extrusion back and forth, you may need to adjust your Y rails. To adjust, you can slightly loosen the rail screws (on the Y extrusions) and move the X extrusion back and forth, so it naturally falls into place. Part 7. Voron 0.2 Build - Z Axis Lead Screw Assembly Gregs Maker Corner 2023-02-18 | This video covers the assembly of the Z Axis Lead Screw, including the anti-backlash nut. This step can be a bit confusing for first time builders. I tried to break it down to make it as easy as possible:1) First position all your m3 nuts and ensure that your lead screw is centered;2) Loosen everything and install the anti-backlash nut, and tighten everything down. 3) Check that there is no binding.If you feel any binding (where it is harder to turn the lead screw in some spots) you will need to make adjustments. At this point in the build, as long as your bed was moving OK before installing the lead screw, it may be that your lead screw is not perfectly centered between the extrusions. You may want to measure the distance from the screw to the extrusion on both sides and make adjustments. Raise the bed so that it is in the center of the printer to check the distance. Adjust the bottom screws as needed to get centered properly. In the worst case, you may have a bent lead screw. A bent lead screw can be straightened with a bench vise, but that is beyond the scope of this video (please ask in Voron_0_qustions discord if you have this issue).
