I am pro-gun control, even when I was a gun owner I didn't care if the government knew what guns I owned and I didn't care that the government said I wasn't allowed to own assault rifles or anything like that, it didn't bother me that gun clips are limited to 10 rounds. I sincerely believe that my country, Canada, is a safer place to live than the US and one reason is because of our laws on gun ownership. You say in you own little mantra that you support free speech and the free exchange of ideas and opinions yet all I have been witnessing lately is the opposite, people are using and abusing the DMCA and flagging system on your website to silence other whom they either disagree with or don't like. This abuse has gotten to the point where it is affecting some YouTube partners, people that help you earn money through your ad revenue system. The more you allow this abuse to go on, the more money it will cost you in the long run, you may just add more partners but will people click on the ads on the videos, they may, they may not. I have made a few suggestions for you as to how you can fix the problems, in my opinion, they are simple and easy fixes, put the onus on the people make claims against another person, if they can not verify they have a legitimate claim against a user then the claim is dismissed, if someone makes many claims against other users that turn out to be illegitimate, permanently suspend them and if necessary put an IP block on them.
