Those songs I of course loved for the instrumental, but I think that was the first time I ever appreciated what a completely digital voice could bring to a song. The idea that a digital voice, voice from a program and not a human, could reach other people's hearts through music is what led me to record this song, and write the second verse accompaniment to the original track. One day while we were gaming together: Lyde, Flak, & I were talking about creating mascots for our Youtube channels while trying to take down a high level dragon on LOE. Flak got burned to death a lot, so we decided to make Flak's mascot into a little bunny-esc dragon (Heaven knows why a bunny XD), which Lyde designed. Time Lapse - L.M. & FritzyBeat ピカリ FritzyBeat 2018-01-20 | ~ So many blank pages... and vapors... vapors everywhere.......... it's snowing again ~ Last year I began reading a story called Background Pony on the recommendation of a youtube comment suggesting that Jastrian & I's song "Ghostie" had similar themes to the fanfic by SS&E. I'm not much of a fanfiction reader (I think I'd touched no more than 3 prior to hearing about this one) yet despite the astounding length of the story, I thought the concept sounded far too interesting to not give a chance. One year later and it has become my personal favorite work of literary fiction ever, fanfiction or not. Around the same time L.M. and I began working on this song. I'd originally suggested we cover Porter & Madeon's "Shelter", but L.M. apparently had a better idea XP I started writing the lyrics more based on emotion than anything in particular. Confusion, loneliness, loss, the state of being directionless... But then I reached the end of Background Pony, and it all connected so cleanly to what I had already been writing down that I just had to connect the dots.This then, is a song about Lyra Heartstrings' own internal conflicts as she ponders on the choice she must make in the final chapters of Background Pony. I don't wish to spoil the ending for you all, though I suppose this song does it's fare share of spoiling already if you listen too hard to it, so all I can do instead is recommend it~ SS&E, if you ever hear this song, I want to thank you for the hours of enjoyment your story gave. Since it had been so long, and it appeard the demo had never been finished, I thought it might be fun to make a little surprise gift for him by doing my best to finish the song ;3 Thus, I wrote all the rest of the lyrics around the chorus, got my good friends Melody Note and µThunder to come on board and help out with some INCREDIBLE singing & mixing, and then the WONDERFUL daspacepony agreed to create this beautiful PMV to go along with it :DThe lyrics are based off of IDW's My Little Pony comics, specifically the "Neigh Anything" story arc, where Shining Armor and Cadance meet and fall in love for the first time. At the time I only had a couple songs out, and really hadn't done much under the name "FritzyBeat" anywhere, so I wasn't expecting to find much. The LAST thing I expected to come across was a "brony fandom knowledge test" that had my name in in O3OThe question was "Which of these musicians are known for collaborating with each other" or something similar to that, and of course the correct answer was I THINK "BlackGryph0n & Baasik", but one of the options to my surprise, was "FritzyBeat & PhonyBrony". Right then and there, I decided that somehow I had to make that knowledge quiz obsolete XD *shot*Unfortunately I didn't know Phony at the time, though he was a big inspiration from the start, and I figured him being a more popular guy, I would have no chance of collabing with him. It first started out way back in April or May of 2013 (making it about a year old now) when I wrote a few lines and posted it to my old soundcloud account (cheers to whoever can find that old account, there are a lot of old covers hidden there too ;P).For a long time I never got around to finishing it, until a few months later, I once again got the inspiration to work on it, and finished even more of the song. Fast forward again to October 16th 2013, when I discover a show called My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic =D I was so inspired by the show that I immediately sat down and wrote "Oxygen", as well as finished "Fort Hope" AND recorded my weird little cover of the Smile Song along with the other two all at once :3As you all know, I posted the Smile Song and Oxygen in mid November the next month, but Fort Hope never really made it into that first wave of songs. A few days ago, I was in the Everfree Network chatroom, and people were asking about my music. Fort Hope was mentioned, and OF COURSE everyone wanted to hear it, so I eventually caved in and sent the file.
