The song is based on the Edgar Allan Poe poem of the same name; the song was written by Alan Parsons and Eric Woolfson, and was originally recorded in April 1975, at Mama Jo's Studio, North Hollywood, Los Angeles and Abbey Road Studios, London. It was one of the first rock songs to use a vocoder, developed by EMS, to distort vocals. It is also one of the few songs by the band featuring the vocals of Alan Parsons, who sings the first verse through the EMI vocoder. Actor Leonard Whiting performs the lead vocals for the remainder of the song, with Eric Woolfson and a choir as backing vocals.
The single appeared on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart peaking at #80 in October 1976. The 1987 reissued version of the song contains a guitar solo near the end, before the "Quoth the Raven"/"Nevermore, nevermore, nevermore, never!" refrains and a few licks between the lyrics.
In 2004, the choral band Gregorian made a cover of the song for their album The Dark Side.
American rapper Danny Brown sampled the song for "Clean Up" on his 2013 album Old.
Tales of Mystery and Imagination is the debut album by the progressive rock group The Alan Parsons Project, released in 1976. The album's avant-garde soundscapes kept it from being a blockbuster, but the interesting lyrical and musical themes — retellings of horror stories and poetry by Edgar Allan Poe — attracted a small audience. The title of the album is taken from a popular title for Poe's macabre tales of the same name, Tales of Mystery & Imagination, first published in 1908 and many times since under this name. Critical reaction to the album was often mixed; for example, Rolling Stone's Billy Altman concluded that it mostly failed at reproducing Poe's tension and macabre fear, ending by claiming that "devotees of Gothic literature will have to wait for someone with more of the macabre in their blood for a truer musical reading of Poe's often terrifying works".
This album was released in the UK originally with a different name. Simply called The Alan Parsons Project, it was successful enough to achieve gold status but later that year the same album was released under the name of Tales of Mystery and Imagination.
Lyrics: The clock struck midnight And through my sleeping I heard a tapping at my door I looked but nothing lay in the darkness And so I turned inside once more
To my amazement There stood a raven Whose shadow hung above my door Then through the silence It spoke that one word that I shall hear forever more
Nevermore Thus quoth the raven, nevermore
And still the raven remains in my room No matter how much I implore No words can soothe him No prayer remove him And I must hear for evermore

For those of you noticing the odd B&W slide with two men in top hats, during the dialogue under the guitar solo, at about 3 minutes and 13 seconds in, it is taken from "The Importance of Being Earnest" by Oscar Wilde. The lines, "...Come, old boy, you had much better have the thing out at once...." and "...that is exactly what dentists always do. Now, go on! Tell me the whole thing" are spoken by the character Algernon Moncrieff, in the play.
From Wikipedia: Following the 1981 breakup of the band, bassist Chris Squire and drummer Alan White joined with South African guitarist Trevor Rabin to form a new band, called Cinema. An early version of song "It Can Happen", sung by Squire, was written and recorded during this time.
Squire, White and Rabin eventually joined forces with former Yes members Jon Anderson, Tony Kaye and Trevor Horn, changing the name of their new band Cinema to "Yes" in the process. Anderson rewrote the lyrics of "It Can Happen" and it was included in 90125, with Anderson singing the verses.
The Cinema version of the song was released on 1991's Yesyears box set, and later on the remastered version of 90125. The version sung by Anderson was released as a single in 1984, and was included in several later Yes compilations, including the In a Word: Yes (1969–) box set and The Ultimate Yes: 35th Anniversary Collection.
A video for the song is included in the Greatest Video Hits DVD, and a live performance appears in the 9012Live concert video.

Lyrics: Do the leaves of green stay greener through the autumn Does the colour of the sun turn crimson white Does a shadow come between us in the winter Is the movement really light
And I heard a million voices singing Acting to the story that they had heard about Does one child know the secret and can say it Or does it all come out along without you Along without you Along without you
Where does reason stop and killing just take over Does a lamb cry out before we shoot it dead Are there many more in comfort understanding Is the movement in the head

More in the mind Than the body this feeling A sense at the end Of a circular line That is drawn at an angle I see when I'm with you To navigate waters and finally answer to-yes.
If you were there you would want to be near me Innocence, you could hold all the materials And though nothing would really be living It would shock Your fall into landing light In the north sky time flies fast to the morning The cold of the dawn it meant nothing to us You were keeping your best situation An answer to-yes
(Yes, Yes) And the moment I see you (Yes, Yes) It's so good to be near you (Yes, Yes) And the feeling you give me (Yes, Yes) Makes me want to be with you (Yes, Yes) From the moment you tell me - yes
If you could see all the roads I have travelled Towards some unusable last equilibrium Run like an athlete and die like a dead beaten speed-freak An answer to all of your answers to-yes
In the north sky time flies faster than morning The cold of the dawn it meant nothing to us You were keeping your best situation An answer to Yes
(Yes, Yes) And the moment I see you (Yes, Yes) It's so good to be near you (Yes, Yes) And the feeling you give me (Yes, Yes) Makes me want to be with you (Yes, Yes) If we wait for an answer (Yes, Yes) Will the silence be broken (Yes, Yes) Should we wait for an answer (Yes, Yes) Do we leave it unspoken
(Yes Yes Yes Yes . . .)Long Distance Runaround The Fish Yessongs Version by Yes in 4K UHD HQ Audiovzqk50HD2019-12-12 | This is the final video in the Yessongs SACD set. I know it took forever, but when it comes to a video intended to educate younger listeners to what they are missing by never having been exposed to the incredible music of Yes and others, nothing is ready until it is done right. Hopefully most of you feel this was done right. Be patient, this is in full 4K, but it may take a day or more to be available in 4K on Youtube. From Wikipedia: "Long Distance Runaround" is a song by the progressive rock group Yes first recorded for their 1971 album, Fragile. Written by lead singer Jon Anderson, the song was released as a B-side to "Roundabout" but became a surprise hit in its own right as a staple of album-oriented rock radio. The song's 3:30 running time was uncharacteristically brief for a group known for expansive songs often longer than ten minutes; though, it and "The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)", into which it segues, may be considered a single opus, of 6:09.
Yes co-founder Jon Anderson wrote the lyrics to this song while allegedly remembering his encounters with religious hypocrisy and competition he experienced in attending church regularly as a youth in northern England. "Long time / waiting to feel the sound" was a sentiment toward wanting to see a real, compassionate, non-threatening example of godliness.
The bass guitar performs most of the parts of the song. The song starts out with a guitar solo before transitioning into the main 7/4 section. Its only lyrics, the subtitle of the song, appear towards the end of the piece, are repeated several times and fade out with it.
In concert, the song is used as an extended bass jam for Chris Squire, and the piece is drastically rearranged. There are only two points in the song that are in 7/4 and are similar to the studio version; the rest is a series of different common time improvisations by Squire with varying beats and backing melodies, often including bass parts from other Yes songs such as "Tempus Fugit", "Sound Chaser" and "On the Silent Wings of Freedom". This solo can last up into the ten-minute range, as can be heard on Yessongs. Live performances of The Fish have sometimes been titled "Whitefish", referring to Alan White & Squire performing the piece as a duet. "Whitefish" can be found on 9012Live: The Solos.
Because the song "Long Distance Runaround" directly transitions into "The Fish", the songs are frequently played together on classic rock radio stations. The origin of the song's title has been attributed variously over the years. One story says that Squire was given the nickname by Bill Bruford, who gave it to Squire after he flooded his hotel room in Oslo, Norway while taking a shower. Bruford has also stated that when he and Squire shared a house in Fulham, Squire would spend long periods of time in the bathroom. Furthermore, his astrological sign is Pisces (Fish). It may also be a reference to the bass (fish), whose name is homonymous with the bass guitar. Subsequently, Squire made reference to his nickname by titling a solo album Fish Out of Water.
Schindleria praematura is the Latin scientific name for a marine fish known as the infantfish or Schindleria.
Lyrics:
Long distance runaround Long time waiting to feel the sound
I still remember the dream there
I still remember the time you said goodbye
Did we really tell lies
Letting in the sunshine
Did we really count to one hundred

I still remember the dream there
I still remember the time you said goodbye

It features some guitar riffs from Howe that reporter and critic Chris Welch described as "unexpectedly heavy metal". White called the song his "baby", putting together much of its structure and rhythm. Squire found some of its passages difficult to play on his bass and thought it was more suited for keyboards, but was encouraged by White to master his parts. Downes rates the track highly, citing its various sections and mood changes. When he was composing his keyboard parts for the song, Downes included an arpeggiated segment from the Toccata fifth movement of Symphony for Organ No. 5 by Charles-Marie Widor, a piece that he was familiar with from his youth.
Lyrics: Run down a street Where the glass shows That summer has gone Age, in the doorways Resenting the pace of the dawn. All of them standing in line All of them waiting for time. From time, the great healer, The machine-Messiah Is born.
Cables that carry the life To the cities we build Threads that link diamonds of life To the satanic mills Ah, to see in every way That we feel it every Day, and know that Maybe we'll change Offered the chance To finally unlearn our lessons And alter our stance.
Part II
Friends make their way into systems of chance (reply- friends make their way of escape into systems of chance) Escape to freedom I need to be there Waiting and watching, the tables are turning I'm waiting and watching I need to be there.
I care to see them walk away And, to be there when they say They will return.
Machine, Machine Messiah The mindless Search for a higher Controller Take me to the fire And hold me Show me the strength of your Singular eye.
Part III
History dictating symptoms of ruling romance Claws at the shores of the water upon which we dance All of us standing in line All of us waiting for time To feel it, all the way And to be there when they Say they know that Maybe we'll change Offered the chance To finally unlearn our lessons And alter our stance.

Of all the songs of the album, "Release, Release" is the one that has been performed live the fewest number of times. The song was only done live on six shows of the group's 1978 tour of the United States.
According to drummer Alan White, the song was dropped from the setlist because it needed so much energy to be performed that the whole band was exhausted after performing it.

After completing their Close to the Edge Tour in April 1973, the band selected live recordings between February and December 1972 on their tours supporting Fragile (1971) and Close to the Edge (1972) for a live album release. They were then edited and remixed with their producer and live sound mixer Eddie Offord. Three tracks feature original Yes drummer Bill Bruford while the remaining tracks feature his replacement, Alan White.
In September 1971, the Yes line-up of singer Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Bill Bruford, guitarist Steve Howe, and newcomer keyboardist Rick Wakeman embarked on their Fragile Tour in support of the band's fourth studio album, Fragile (1971). The tour saw the band play across the United Kingdom, the United States, and Europe until March 1972. Following the recording of their fifth studio album, Close to the Edge (1972), the band resumed as a live act on 30 July 1972 to support the album. The tour saw the debut of drummer Alan White in the band after Bruford left when recording for the album had finished. His departure came eleven days prior to the tour's start, leaving White to learn the band's repertoire in three days. The tour ended in April 1973, by which time Yes had made additional live recordings.
Recording location: 15 December 1972 at the Rainbow Theatre in Finsbury Park, London
According to Alice Cooper on his radio show Nights with Alice Cooper, Anderson claimed to have written the first two movements of "Starship Trooper" alone, though the "Disillusion" movement (which evolved from an earlier song "For Everyone", heard on Something's Coming: The BBC Recordings 1969–1970 and The Word Is Live) is credited to Chris Squire.
The Würm part of "Starship Trooper" is a continuous cadenza of chords (G-Eb-C) played by ensemble and repeated adlib: first accompaniment: electric guitar on the right stereo channel, then acoustic guitar, bass pedals, and drums from middle channel, then organ and bass guitar with tremolo and distortion from left channel, then starts the guitar solo, that swaps from side to side. The whole piece lasts about three and a half minutes. "Würm" originally evolved from a song called "Nether Street" by Howe's earlier group, Bodast. While "Wurm" (without the umlaut over the "u") is an Old English word for "dragon" (worm, wurm, wyrm), the Würm is a river in Germany which gave its name to an ice age in geology.
Lyrics: Sister bluebird flying high above Shine your wings forward to the sun Hide the myst'ries of life on your way Though you've seen them, please don't say a word What you don't know, I have never heard
Starship trooper, go sailing on by Catch my soul, catch the very light Hide the moment from my eager eye Though you've seen them, please don't tell a soul What you can't see, can't be very whole
Speak to me of summer Long winters longer than time can remember The setting up of other roads To travel on in old accustomed ways I still remember the talks by the water The proud sons and daughter That knew the knowledge of the land Spoke to me in sweet accustomed ways
Mother life, hold firmly on to me Catch my knowledge higher than the day Lose as much as only you can show Though you've seen me, please don't say a word What I don't know, I have never shared
Loneliness is a power that we possess to give or take away forever All I know can be shown by your acceptance of the facts there shown before you Take what I say in a different way and it's easy to say that this is all confusion As I see a new day in me, I can also show it you and you may follow

The album is compiled of recordings from their 1976, 1977, and 1978 tours from dates in North America and Europe with its mixing supervised by bassist Chris Squire.
"Parallels" was part of a collection of songs that Squire had written for his solo album Fish Out of Water (1975), but were left out due to the limited capacity of a vinyl record. He also felt the song did not fit with the style of the other tracks on his album. When it came to selecting songs for Going for the One, Squire suggested the song for the group to record, which was received well by the other members. In its rough form, the song contained no guitar riffs. Its lyrics address the idea of hope, a usual theme that Squire incorporates into his lyrics
From Somethingelsereviews.com: Though Yes’ “Parallels” was a Chris Squire composition originally slated for his solo release Fish Out of Water, it hardly seems like an after thought. The song quickly gains steam as it is propelled by Squire’s aggressive Fender bass, which is then quickly countered by Steve Howe’s clean electric guitar. Rick Wakeman provides a church-organ sound, which anchors “Parallels” sonicly. Squire, an often-overlooked contributor to Yes’ lyrics, provided an uplifting and thematic proper setting to join Jon Anderson on vocals. “Parallels” states the obvious about Yes in that some of the best vocals the band recorded are when Anderson and Squire sing a song as a duet. Squire’s choir-inspired harmonies often leave this aspect of his vocal contribution overlooked.Despite the fact that “Parallels” is a solo contribution, there is no doubt this is a Yes song, with Steve Howe’s rollicking guitar break and a rock-drum break from Alan White that moves perfectly into Rick Wakeman’s brief Moog synthesizer solo. “Parallels” has made intermittent appearances on Yes’ set list following its release on Going For the One
Lyrics: When you've tried most everything and nothing's taking you higher When you've come to realize, you've been playing with fire Hear me when I say to you, it's really down to your heart
It's the beginning of a new love in sight You've got the way to make it all happen Set it spinning turning roundabout Create a new dimension When we are winning we can stop and shout Making love towards perfection
I've been all around the world and seen so many faces Young and old a story told, filling in my spaces Now without a trace of doubt, I feel it every hour
It's the beginning of a new love inside Could be an ever opening flower No hesitation when we're all about To build a shining tower No explanations, need to work it out You know we've got the power
Parallel our sights And we will find, that we, we need, to be, where we, belong Parallel our heights Display our rights and wrongs, and always, keep it STRONG
It's the beginning of a new love in sight Could be an ever opening flower No explanations, need to work it out You know we've got the power
It's the beginning of a new love inside You've got the way to make it all happen Set it spinning turning roundabout Create a new dimension When we are winning we can stop and shout Making love towards perfectionTuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon) by The Moody Blues in 4K UHD SACD HQ Audiovzqk50HD2019-01-06 | From Wikipedia: The first part, the one most familiar to listeners, called "Tuesday Afternoon", was originally released on The Moody Blues 1967 album Days of Future Passed, a concept album chronicling a typical day. On the album, it was part one of "The Afternoon" track titled "Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?)".
Justin Hayward wrote the song originally intending to name it "Tuesday Afternoon". At the insistence of producer Tony Clarke, it was named "Forever Afternoon (Tuesday?)" for its release on Days of Future Passed. However, when it was released as a single a year later, its name was changed back to "Tuesday Afternoon", and it has been more commonly known by this name ever since. Some of the Moody Blues compilation and live albums list the song as "Tuesday Afternoon (Forever Afternoon)" to reflect both titles.
"Tuesday Afternoon" was released as a single in 1968, and was the second single from Days of Future Passed (the first being "Nights in White Satin"). It was backed with another Days track, "Another Morning". The single version of "Tuesday Afternoon" was oddly edited down to 2:16, ending before the repeat of the opening riff and "Tuesday afternoon" verse.
According to an interview with Justin Hayward, he wrote "Tuesday Afternoon" while sitting in the middle of a field near his home in England on a beautiful spring afternoon. He claims that he had his acoustic guitar in hand and the song just came to him. The song features Justin Hayward on lead vocals and acoustic guitar. The backing melody comes from the mellotron, which was played by Mike Pinder. There is also a short flute solo at the end played by Ray Thomas.
On Days of Future Passed, the London Festival Orchestra performs the final orchestral rendition of the chorus. This orchestral link between parts one and two of the song was recorded separately from the Moodys' portions. The link was arranged by Peter Knight, who arranged orchestral sections for the entire album. However, for the single release and subsequent releases on compilation albums, this orchestral finale was not included, and the song simply faded out during Ray Thomas's flute solo. The Moody Blues 1994 compilation album, Time Traveller, marked the first time the orchestral link was included on a compilation. Its release on 1998's Anthology also included the first-portion orchestral finale.
In concert, "Tuesday Afternoon" is usually ended with a short reprise of the opening acoustic guitar riff after the flute solo. Although, when the Moody Blues perform backed by a live orchestra, the original orchestral link ends the song.
Lyrics: Tuesday afternoon, I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away.
Something, calls to me, The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why? Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh.
I'm looking at myself reflections of my mind, It's just the kind of day to leave myself behind. So gently swaying through the fairyland of love, If you'll just come with me you'll see the beauty of
Tuesday afternoon, Tuesday afternoon.
Tuesday, afternoon, I'm just beginning to see, now I'm on my way. It doesn't matter to me, chasing the clouds away. Something, calls to me, The trees are drawing me near, I've got to find out why? Those gentle voices I hear, explain it all with a sigh. Evening has come to pass The time of day doesn't last
Evening, has earned its place today I'm tired of working away Working, living it brings Only way to have those things
Toiling has bought too many tears Turn 'round all those past years Evening time to get away Evening time to get away Evening time to get away 'Til next day
Live all you people You can't see where you're at It doesn't really hurt you So that can't be bad

Lyrics: Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face. Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human race, On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place, If the summer change to winter, yours is no disgrace.
Battleships confide in me and tell me where you are, Shining, flying, purple wolfhound, show me where you are, Lost in summer, morning, winter, travel very far, Lost in losing circumstances, that's just where you are.
Yesterday a morning came, a smile upon your face. Caesar's palace, morning glory, silly human race, On a sailing ship to nowhere, leaving any place, If the summer change to winter, yours is no, Yours is no disgrace. Yours is no disgrace. Yours is no disgrace.
Death defying, mutilated armies scatter the earth, Crawling out of dirty holes, their morals, their morals disappear.

Anderson had smoked marijuana during the trip, "so everything was vivid and mystical". Anderson added: "It was a cloudy day, we couldn't see the top of the mountains. We could only see the clouds because it was sheer straight up ... I remember saying, "Oh, the mountains–look! They're coming out of the sky!",and began to write the song's lyrics in his notebook in a free-form style with minimal edits. "I just loved how words sounded when I put them together". Within 24 hours, the band had arrived back home in London where Anderson reunited with his then wife Jennifer, which inspired the song's lyric "Twenty-four before my love, you'll see, I'll be there with you". A lake they passed as they neared Glasgow became the idea behind the line "In and around the lake". Upon their arrival at their hotel in Glasgow, Anderson and Howe began to put down song ideas on their recorder.
Lyrics: I'll be the round about The words will make you out 'n' out I spend the day your way Call it morning driving thru the sound and In and out the valley
The music dance and sing They make the children really ring I spend the day your way Call it morning driving thru the sound and In and out the valley
In and around the lake Mountains come out of the sky and they Stand there One mile over we'll be there and we'll see You Ten true summers we'll be there and Laughing too Twenty four before my love you'll see I'll be There with you
I will remember you Your silhouette will charge the view Of distance atmosphere Call it morning driving thru the sound and Even in the valley
In and around the lake Mountains come out of the sky and they Stand there One mile over we'll be there and we'll see You Ten true summers we'll be there and Laughing too Twenty four before my love you'll see I'll be There with you
Along the drifting cloud the eagle searching Down on the land Catching the swirling wind the sailor sees The rim of the land The eagle's dancing wings create as weather Spins out of hand
Go closer hold the land feel partly no more Than grains of sand
We stand to lose all time a thousand answers By in our hand
Next to your deeper fears we stand Surrounded by a million years
I'll be the roundabout The words will make you out 'n' out I'll be the roundabout The words will make you out 'n' out
In and around the lake Mountains come out of the sky and they Stand there Twenty four before my love and I'll be There
I'll be the roundabout The words will make you out 'n' out I spend the day your way Call it morning driving thru the sound and In and out the valley

Lyrics: [I Cord Of Life]
A man conceived a moment's answer to the dream Staying the flowers daily, sensing all the themes As a foundation left to create the spiral aim A movement regained and regarded both the same All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you
Changed only for a sight of sound, the space agreed Between the picture of time behind the face of need Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid Emotions revealed as the ocean maid All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you
Coins and crosses (Turn round tailor, assaulting) Never know their fruitless worth (all the mornings of the interest shown, presenting one another to the cord) Cords are broken (All left dying, rediscovered Of the door that turned round) Locked inside the mother Earth (To close the cover, all the interest shown) They won't hide, hold, they won't tell you (To turn one another, to the sign at the time float your climb) Watching the world, watching all of the world Watching us go by
And you and I climb over the sea to the valley And you and I reached out for reasons to call
[II Eclipse]
Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid Emotions revealed as the ocean maid As a movement regained and regarded both the same All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you
[III The Preacher, The Teacher]
Sad preacher nailed upon the coloured door of time Insane teacher be there reminded of the rhyme There'll be no mutant enemy we shall certify Political ends as sad remains will die Reach out as forward tastes begin to enter you Oooh, ooh
I listened hard but could not see Life tempo change out and inside me The preacher trained in all to lose his name The teacher travels, asking to be shown the same In the end we'll agree, we'll accept, we'll immortalize That the truth of man maturing in his eyes All complete in the sight of seeds of life with you
Coming quickly to terms of all expression laid As a moment regained and regarded both the same Emotion revealed as the ocean maid A clearer future, morning, evening, nights with you
[IV Apocalypse]
And you and I climb, crossing the shapes of the morning And you and I reach over the sun for the river And you and I climb, clearer towards the movement And you and I called over valleys of endless seasHeart of the Sunrise Yessongs Version by Yes in 4K UHD HQ Audiovzqk50HD2018-11-22 | From Wikipedia: "Heart of the Sunrise" is a progressive rock song by British band Yes. It is the closing track on their fourth album, 1971's Fragile. The compositional credits go to Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, and Chris Squire, though keyboardist Rick Wakeman contributed some uncredited sections.
The song eventually rose to become the band's fourth most-played song. However, it was played approximately three hundred times less than "I've Seen All Good People" and received little if any airplay. It was popular enough, however, to appear on Yessongs, Classic Yes, In a Word: Yes (1969 - ), and many other studio and live retrospectives. It was named the ninth greatest drum performance by digitaldreamdoor.com."
According to Anderson, the song is about being lost in the city. This was explained on many tours. On the Big Generator tour, Anderson says that the song is about the power and energy of the sunrise. In 1978, however, he said the song was about the power of love. Sometimes, he makes other comments. For example, on the October 16, 1971 show, Anderson states that the organ in the song is inaudible and will be performed without it. He further notes that the organ is "one of the best jokes in the business."
The song begins with a churning, bass-heavy riff that alternates between 6/8 and 3/4 time (in the same way as "America" from Leonard Bernstein's score for the musical West Side Story). After one full sequence, it merges into a new, slightly funky section in 4/4 that lasts for a minute and a half. It afterwards breaks back into three full cycles of the main riff.
At around 3:25, after the final cycle, the song switches to a much softer style, where Jon Anderson begins singing. This section starts in 6/8 but includes many individual sequences, including a quirky 5/8 riff that appears in various speeds and arrangements. The song gradually builds in intensity, eventually including the main riff interspersed with the other sections. A brief classical snippet of Rick Wakeman's is used as well in both classical and rock arrangements.
The song itself ends very abruptly around 10:35, but a reprise of "We Have Heaven" from earlier on the album is included as a hidden track, extending it to 11:27 (11:32 on the 2003 release). Some vinyl pressings ended without this reprise. At either length, it is the longest song on the album.
Rick Wakeman contributed to the writing of "Heart Of The Sunrise" (and fellow album piece "South Side Of The Sky") by adding piano interludes to both songs, but wasn't credited because of contractual conflicts. He was instead promised more money by Atlantic studio executives, which he claims he never saw.

From Wikipedia: From the Beginning is a song written by Greg Lake and performed by the progressive rock trio Emerson, Lake & Palmer. It was released on their 1972 album Trilogy. It is driven by an acoustic guitar line with layers of electric guitar (both rhythm and lead), electric bass guitar, and sung by Lake, with some backing on drums (played by Carl Palmer with tympani mallets and without cymbals), and with a distinctive closing synthesizer solo from Keith Emerson, accompanied by overdubbed random synthesizer-generated effects. It hit #39 in the US and was their highest charting single.
Lyrics: There might have been things I missed But don't be unkind It don't mean I'm blind Perhaps there's a thing or two
I think of lying in bed I shouldn't have said But there it is
You see it's all clear You were meant to be here From the beginning
Maybe I might have changed And not been so cruel Not been such a fool Whatever was done is done I just can't recall It doesn't matter at all
You see it's all clear You were meant to be here From the beginningPerpetual Change Yessongs Version by Yes in 4K UHD SACDvzqk50HD2018-02-14 | From Wikipedia: Yessongs is the first live album by the English rock band Yes, released as a triple album in May 1973 on Atlantic Records. Lyrics: I see the cold mist in the night And watch the hills roll out of sight. I watch in ev'ry single way, Inside out, outside in, ev'ry day.
The sun can warm the coldest dawn And move the movement on the lawn. I learn in ev'ry single day, Inside out, outside in, ev'ry way.
And there you are, Making it up but you're sure that it is a star, And boy you'll see It's an illusion shining down in front of me, And then you'll say Even in time we shall control the day, When what you'll see Deep inside base controlling you and me.
And one peculiar point I see, As one of many ones of me. As truth is gathered, I rearrange, Inside out, outside in, inside out, outside in, Perpetual change.
And there you are, Saying we have the moon, so now the stars, When all you see Is near disaster gazing down on you and me, And there you're standing, Saying we have the whole world in our hands, When all you'll see, Deep inside the world's controlling you and me.
You'll see perpetual change. You'll see perpetual change.
And there you are, Making it up but you're sure that it is a star, And boy you'll see It's an illusion shining down in front of me, And then you'll say Even in time we shall control the day, When what you'll see Deep inside base controlling you and me.
As mist and sun are both the same, We look on as pawns of their game. They move to testify the day, Inside out, outside in, inside out, outside in, All of the way. Ah, Ah.All Good People Your Move Yessongs Version by Yes in 4K UHD SACDvzqk50HD2018-02-09 | From Wikipedia: The first part of the song, "Your Move", uses various allusions to the game of chess — such as the phrases "move me onto any black square", "make the white queen run so fast", and "the goal is for us all to capture all we want". It can be attributed to Lewis Carrol's "Through The Looking Glass". In looking glass land if you want to be "satisfied" and "on your way". You must walk backwards on life's chessboard to move ahead "don't surround yourself with yourself" ie. Live worry free and "give peace a chance". This is opposite of what we were taught: Fight with might and force to get ahead. At the final part of "Your Move" the chorus of John Lennon's Give Peace a Chance can be heard in the background.
In the studio recording on The Yes Album, the song opens with Jon Anderson singing the sentence "I've seen all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied I'm on my way" twice a cappella, in three-part harmony. This is followed by a solo intro by Steve Howe on a 12-string laúd. As the laúd begins a repeated four-bar phrase, it is joined by bass drum as Anderson resumes singing the lyrics, solo and in three-part harmony. Dual recorders enter on the third verse. Finally, a Hammond organ joins them, playing the same chords as the laúd until the first part of the song ends on a loudly sustained and unresolved organ chord.
The second part, "All Good People", consists of many repetitions of the sentence "I've seen all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied I'm on my way" sung to the same melody as before, but over a driving rock accompaniment, ending in a powerful vocal harmony and organ phrase which begins on a chord progression of E, D, C, G, then A. Each repetition of the verse is one whole step lower than the previous as the song fades out.
Just before the three minute mark of the song the chorus to John Lennon's Give Peace a Chance is heard panned hard to the left channel and very low in the mix. The song also references Lennon's "Instant Karma!", in the lyrics "Send an instant karma to me - Initial it with loving care."
Lyrics: [I Your Move]
I've seen all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied I'm on my way I've seen all good people turn their heads each day so satisfied I'm on my way
Take a straight and stronger course to the corner of your life Make the white queen run so fast she hasn't got time to make you a wife
'Cause it's time is time in time with your time and its news is captured...for the queen to use! Move me on to any black square Use me anytime you want Just remember that the goal Is for us all to capture all we want (Move me on to any black square)
Don't surround yourself with yourself Move on back two squares Send an instant karma to me Initial it with loving care (Don't surround yourself)
'Cause it's time is time in time with your time and its news is captured...for the queen to use!
Don't surround yourself with yourself (Don't surround yourself) Move on back two squares Send an instant karma to me (Send an instant karma to me) Initial it with loving care (Don't surround yourself)
'Cause it's time is time in time with your time and its news is captured...for the queen to use!

[II All Good People]

I've seen all good people turn their heads each day So satisfied I'm on my way...Opening / Siberian Khatru Yessongs Version by Yes in 4K UHD SACDvzqk50HD2018-02-05 | From Wikipedia: "Siberian Khatru" is the third, shortest and final song of progressive rock band Yes album Close to the Edge. Live versions of the song are found on the Yessongs, Keys to Ascension, and Live at Montreux 2003 albums, and it also is on several compilation albums. It is notable for being the only song on Close to the Edge that is not a multi-part suite. However, Siberian Khatru contains several separate melodies, tones, and sections in the tradition of progressive rock. The live version on the 2-disc album set Yessongs is preceded by Igor Stravinsky's Firebird Suite and Stravinsky's The Rite of Spring is an acknowledged influence on the song itself, thus the introduction.
Siberian Khatru begins with an introductory guitar riff, after which the main instrumental theme (played by the keyboards) is introduced. The structure of this theme is a four-measure phrase consisting of three bars in common time (4/4) and the last bar in 3/4. This theme is repeated until the verse section begins. The lyrics start at about 1:05. The song progresses through various sections, featuring solos by Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman. There is a polymetric section featuring the guitar, playing in a meter of 12, and bass and drums playing in a meter of 8. Jon Anderson begins singing seemingly random two-syllable words and phrases, which then becomes a Yes tradition. The conclusion is similar to the introduction, returning to the main instrumental theme with a guitar solo on top of it.

Lyrics: [I The Solid Time Of Change] A seasoned witch could call you from the depths of your disgrace And rearrange your liver to the solid mental grace And achieve it all with music that came quickly from afar And taste the fruit of man recorded losing all against the hour And assessing points to nowhere, leading every single one A dewdrop can exalt us like the music of the sun And take away the plain in which we move And choose the course you're running
Down at the end, round by the corner Not right away, not right away Close to the edge, down by a river Not right away, not right away
Crossed the line around the changes of the summer Reaching out to call the color of the sky Passed around a moment clothed in mornings faster than we see Getting over all the time I had to worry Leaving all the changes far from far behind We relieve the tension only to find out the master's name
Down at the end, round by the corner Close to the edge, just by a river Seasons will pass you by I get up, I get down Now that it's all over and done Now that you find, now that you're whole
[II Total Mass Retain] My eyes convinced, eclipsed with the younger moon attained with love It changed as almost strained amidst clear manna from above I crucified my hate and held the word within my hand There's you, the time, the logic, or the reasons we don't understand
Sad courage claimed the victims standing still for all to see As armoured movers took approached to overlook the sea There since the cord, the license, or the reasons we understood will be
Down at the edge, close by a river Close to the edge, round by the corner Close to the end, down by the corner Down at the edge, round by the river
Sudden cause shouldn't take away the startled memory All in all, the journey takes you all the way As apart from any reality that you've ever seen and known Guessing problems only to deceive the mention Passing paths that climb halfway into the void As we cross from side to side, we hear the total mass retain
Down at the edge, round by the corner Close to the end, down by a river Seasons will pass you by I get up, I get down
[III I Get Up, I Get Down] In her white lace, you could clearly see the lady sadly looking Saying that she'd take the blame For the crucifixion of her own domain
I get up, I get down I get up, I get down
Two million people barely satisfy Two hundred women watch one woman cry, too late The eyes of honesty can achieve (She would gladly say it amazement of her story) How many millions do we deceive each day? (Asking only interest could be layed upon the children of her domain)
I get up, I get down I get up, I get down
In charge of who is there in charge of me (She could clearly see the lady sadly looking) Do I look on blindly and say I see the way? (Saying that she'd take the blame For the crucifixion of her own domain) The truth is written all along the page (She would gladly say it amazement of her story) How old will I be before I come of age for you? (Asking only interest could be layed upon the children of her domain)
I get up, I get down I get up, I get down I get up, I get down
I get up, I get down I get up, I get down
[IV Seasons Of Man] The time between the notes relates the color to the scenes A constant vogue of triumphs dislocate man, so it seems And space between the focus shape ascend knowledge of love As song and chance develop time, lost social temprance rules above Ah, ah
Then according to the man who showed his outstretched arm to space He turned around and pointed, revealing all the human race I shook my head and smiled a whisper, knowing all about the place On the hill we viewed the silence of the valley Called to witness cycles only of the past And we reach all this with movements in between the said remark
Close to the edge, down by the river Down at the end, round by the corner Seasons will pass you by Now that it's all over and done Called to the seed, right to the sun Now that you find, now that you're whole Seasons will pass you by

It was a rock radio hit for the band, reaching number 24 on Billboard's Hot Mainstream Rock Tracks chart. An earlier single, "Saving My Heart" from 1991's Union, was originally intended as a collaboration between Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin and former Supertramp vocalist and songwriter Roger Hodgson. Although that track was eventually recorded and released as a Yes song without Hodgson's involvement, "Walls", another Rabin–Hodgson collaboration, was included on Talk, with additional songwriting credits by Yes vocalist Jon Anderson.
"Walls" reached number 24 on the Mainstream Rock chart in 1994.
Rabin later included a pre-Yes version of the song on his album of demo recordings, 2003's 90124, where it is titled "Walls Demo 1990".
Lyrics: Don't you know it's my way out To be on my own When I feel like crying out I do it best alone Can you give me love and Protection to shield my heart All the fear I feel from doubt Is tearing me apart
I wanna love, I wanna give I want to find another way to live Another shout, another cry And the walls come tumbling down
Don't you know there's now way out Your pain's your own And the more we scream and shout The more we feel alone
I can feel my anger rising Am I to blame? And I'm not gonna keep it inside me Do you feel the same?
I wanna love, I wanna give I want to find another way to live Another shout, another cry And the walls come tumbling down
And I'm calling... you....... Let me go! And I'm calling...
I wanna love, I wanna give I want to find another way to live Another shout, another cry And the walls come tumbling down
I wanna love, I wanna give I want to find another way to live Another shout, another cry And the walls come tumbling down
I wanna love, I wanna give I want to find another way to live Another shout, another cry And the walls come tumbling down
ohhh this indecision, can it break me down, let it run to the river, tell me

Oh!Undertow by Genesis in 4k UHD HQ Audiovzqk50HD2017-07-22 | From Wikipedia: ..And Then There Were Three... is the ninth studio album by the English rock band Genesis. It was
released in March 1978 by Charisma Records and is their first recorded as a trio of singer and drummer
Phil Collins, keyboardist Tony Banks, and bassist and guitarist Mike Rutherford following the departure
of guitarist Steve Hackett. The album marked a change in the band's sound, mixing elements of their
progressive rock roots with more pop-oriented and commercially accessible music, and Collins
contributing to more of the group's song writing.
The band had originally planned to develop and arrange Banks's song "Undertow" further, but its basic
track of guitar, drums and piano, coupled with its simple chorus, was strong enough to keep as it was.
Banks plays a Yamaha electric grand piano on the track which also incorporates voice loops made by the
band that were kept "low-key and subtle" in the final mix
Lyrics: The curtains are drawn Now the fire warms the room. Meanwhile outside Wind from the north-east chills the air, It will soon be snowing out there.
And some there are Cold, they prepare for a sleepless night. Maybe this will be their last fight.
But we're safe in each other's embrace, All fears go out as I look on your face -
Better think awhile Or I may never think again. If this were the last day of your life, my friend, Tell me, what do you think you would do then?
Stand up to the blow that fate has struck upon you, Make the most of all you still have coming to you, [or] Lay down on the ground and let the tears run from you, Crying to the grass and trees and heaven finally on your knees
Let me live again, let life come find me wanting. Spring must strike again against the shield of winter. Let me feel once more the arms of love surround me, Telling me the danger's past, I need not fear the icy blast again.
Laughter, music and perfume linger here And there, and there, Wine flows from flask to glass and mouth, As it soothes, confusing our doubts.
And soon we feel, Why do a single thing to-day, There's tomorrow sure as I'm here.
So the days they turn into years And still no tomorrow appears.

Following the completion of the tour, guitarist Steve Howe, keyboardist Rick Wakeman and drummer Bill Bruford left the band, leaving the five members who had performed as Yes during the 1980s: singer Jon Anderson, guitarist Trevor Rabin, bassist Chris Squire, drummer Alan White and keyboardist Tony Kaye.
"The Calling" was written by Rabin, Anderson and Squire, with Rabin producing. As with the other tracks on Talk, "The Calling" was recorded and mixed digitally, rather than on tape as was done with previous Yes recordings. The song has been described as featuring a modern sound, with heavy focus on Rabin's guitars, and a three-part vocal harmony featuring Anderson, Rabin and Squire.
According to Anderson, the song's lyrics were inspired by the concept of "local history", the current three-thousand year window of history, outside of which mankind has little visibility or understanding.
Chart performance "The Calling" was a number-three Mainstream Rock hit for the band in 1994, their last (as of 2010) top-ten hit on that chart. Yes had two subsequent Mainstream Rock hits: 1994's "Walls" (also from Talk) and 1997's "Open Your Eyes" from the album of the same name.
Lyrics: Feel the calling of a miracle In the presence of the word Now we hold the right to rearrange How the stories can be heard
In the beginning is the future And the future is at hand I'll be calling voices of Africa Be the rhythm to the plan
From the Congo to Lenasia Be the writing on the wall I'll be calling the colors of India See the Asian life explode
Head into the headlight Don't turn from the rain There's a fire raging somewhere near Like a longtime friend who's Seen it darker than ebony Take off on the turnpike (Asking for the first call) Give me more of the same (Asking for a song) There's a fire burning in my heart again
I'll be calling the dragons of China See the dancers of the Nile See the wings of change are on display This revelation mine
Feel the calling of the miracle In the presence of the word
Head into the headlight Don't turn from the rain There's a fire raging somewhere near Like a longtime friend who's Seen it darker than ebony Take off on the turnpike (Asking for the first call) Give me more of the same (Asking for a song) There's a fire burning in my heart again

For my part, let me say that this "cut" is from the remastered CD in FLAC prior to video compiling. I know the "cut" is not perfect. I welcome any "perfect cuts" to improve this, but for now this is the best I have. I am sure there will be debate over the last few seconds I removed, and whether it belongs here. I chose this cut, isolating 'Leaves of Green" from the rest of "The Ritual". I do hope you enjoy it!
Lyrics: Do the leaves of green stay greener through the autumn Does the colour of the sun turn crimson white Does a a shadow come between us in the winter Is the movement really light

Production began in 1990 following the amalgamation of two bands featuring current and previous members of Yes at the time: Yes, formed of Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Tony Kaye, and Alan White; and Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe (ABWH), formed of Jon Anderson, Steve Howe, Rick Wakeman, and Bill Bruford. The album is a collection of tracks written by each group separately; the eight members do not all play together. Production was met with differences from the beginning, including the merger of ABWH and Yes, the group's internal relations, and Anderson and producer Jonathan Elias's decision to have session musicians play parts already put down by Wakeman and Howe.
The album received mixed reviews from critics. Chuck Eddy gave it two stars out of five for Rolling Stone, calling it "an eclectic miscarriage that almost isn't even worth laughing about", and wished the album had more memorable hooks, riffs, and concise lyrics. In a review for The Washington Post, Gil Grifin noted that "musically and conceptually", the band are "reaching for its glorious past" which resulted in an album not entirely appealing. Though "Lift Me Up", "The More We Live – Let Go" and "Saving My Heart" are picked as more favourable tracks, Grifin concludes with "the aloofness of 'Union' is often sleep-inducing".
Most of the band have negative opinions on the album. Rabin thought the album lacked a linking thread and ranked 90125 and Big Generator as better albums. Wakeman stated he was dissatisfied with the production, commenting that most of his contributions were so altered in the final result that he himself could not recognise them, adding that he used to call it "Onion" because "it made me cry every time I heard it". Bruford remains very critical of the record, stating "It was probably not only the most dishonest title that I've ever had the privilege of playing drums underneath, but the single worst album I've ever recorded".
Union is among the worst rated Yes albums in music rating sites such as Rate Your Music and ProgArchives, only behind Heaven & Earth and Open Your Eyes. The music portal Ultimate Classic Rock ranked Union last in its list of best Yes albums.
Lyrics: You and I can change the world; The more we live, the more we learn, the more we know. From this moment on we share the world; The more we give, the more we love, the more we grow. The spirit of imagination can lead us through the dark; The more we see, the more we try, the more we show. The evidence of our confusion, life has left its mark; The more we fear, the more we lie, the more we hide.
As we walk into tomorrow (Turning away from the path we know) Holding the future with our hands (We carry the weight of the world we go) It's up to you and I (We hold the key; we hold the answer)
All our thoughts of doubt and fear (We leave it all by one) The more we live, the more we learn, the more we know. For each of us the road is clear and life has just begun; The more we give, the more we love, the more we grow. It's time to reach the goals we've set for ourselves; The more we fear, the more we lie, the more we hide. All we need is just to believe in ourselves; We face the truth, we see it clear, with no disguise.
Cast away our doubt and sorrow (Turning away from the past we know) The Universe and all can be (Showing the fate of the world we know) Together you and I, we hold the key to all the answers (Let go)Lets Pretend by ABWH in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2016-11-03 | Lyrics: (Anderson / Howe / Wakeman / Bruford / Vangelis) Let us be together, let's pretend that we are free, let's all be where the angels Find us, we all have the key Shall we seal the truth of life Shall we light the heavens We're so good at finding pleasure As to what we are, and how we fit together
Let us sing the song it is Let the sound of all belief Let's all find that space in life To follow in between It's something that I feel To pour upon my soul Countenance of love For one n' all To know there's so many ways The force of nature prevails I lay down, I lay down and I pray
Let's get our hearts together And as before, and like before We'll do again
To know there's so many ways The force of nature prevails I lay down, I lay down and I pray
Let's get our hearts together As before, and like before We'll do again Let's get our hearts together As before, and like before We'll do again Let's get our hearts together As before, and like before We'll do again
Do again...State of Play by Yes in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2016-10-28 | From Wikipedia: Following the mammoth tour for Union in 1991, Bill Bruford, Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman left the eight-
member band. Wakeman was originally going to be part of the lineup, but conflicts with management kept
this from happening. Remaining was the 1983-88 line-up of Jon Anderson, Chris Squire, Trevor Rabin, Tony
Kaye and Alan White.
With Rabin taking the lead - even producing the project himself, he attempted to re-introduce Yes to the
1990s with a lean, guitar-oriented sound. In taking such a strong role, he ensured he had a hand in
writing every song, even overdubbing some of Chris Squire's bass parts (to Squire's minor annoyance).
Roger Hodgson, formerly of fellow progressive rock band Supertramp, wrote "Walls" with Rabin, having
been asked to replace Anderson when the latter formed Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe. He declined, and
Anderson modified the lyrics to "Walls" upon returning to Yes. A demo of this song was recorded in 1990
and included on the Trevor Rabin demo album 90124.
In a 1993 interview, White mentioned a song called "Scarlet From The Tide". It is unknown whether this
song became part of a track on the album or if it wasn't added at all.
Pop artist Peter Max created the artwork for Talk. In a 1993 interview, Alan White joked that the album
would be called Crunching Numbers. Another working title was History of the Future.
After the album's release, guitarist Billy Sherwood toured with the band. Trevor Rabin and Tony Kaye
left the band in 1995, twelve years after teaming up with Jon Anderson, Chris Squire and Alan White.
Sherwood would become an official member of Yes in 1997 after Rick Wakeman had re-joined and departed
the band in the interim.

It's just a state of play It's just a state of play
This is the revolution, Coming with the giving world No need to wait for your Appointment is made. No need to ask for help, It's in the love we breathe Dancing in the new design
It's just a state of play It's just a state of play
Secret needing, From this love I'm feeding High time flying, From your love I'm feeding High time flying, Monumental reaching to god love Secret needing, All I really want to know right now... The state of play Are you looking at it Is it looking at you.
It's just a state of play It's just a state of play
No point in kidding, Let the children split the atom- A firm believer this Appointment with love. All those who look for glory, They see the flags are flying, They hear the sirn screaming- It's just a state of play It's just a state of play Secret needing, From this love I'm feeding High time, flying, All I really want to know, Right now, right now... (I want to be inside your heart) I want to know right now, Is this the state of play. Are you looking at it.Top of the World (The Glass Bead Game) by Jon Anderson in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2016-10-15 | From Wikipedia: In the City of Angels is a solo album by Jon Anderson of progressive rock band Yes.
This album unlike most of Anderson's works in that he invited outside songwriters to write for him, rather than creating an album wholly of his own material. Consequently this is the most straight-ahead commercial pop album in his oeuvre, and sounds rather closer to a Toto album than his own earlier work -- in fact, that band performs on several songs. Jon reciprocated the favor by performing on their album The Seventh One (recorded about the same time as In the City of Angels).
Two songs from the album ("Hold on to Love" and "In a Lifetime") were co-written by Lamont Dozier, of Motown records.
A music video for "Hold on to Love" aired on TV. In the video, the album is titled In The City of Lost Angels. Chris Squire has a cameo appearance in the video.

See the more the reasoning As the stars they sit at night We can never really guess Unless we ask like a mission
And it touches you Like a measure do It's a real life And it gets us by

It was first released as "Into the Lens" on the Yes album Drama in 1980, and the year after on Adventures in Modern Recording, the second and last album of The Buggles. Both versions were also released as singles: "Into the Lens (I Am a Camera)" by Yes in 1980 and "I Am a Camera" in October 1981 by The Buggles (on Carrere Records).
The first version of the song was a demo, recorded on a Sunday afternoon when songwriters Trevor Horn and Geoff Downes started working on a second The Buggles album in 1980. When they joined Yes, it gained input from other members Steve Howe, Chris Squire and Alan White, and therefore, "Into the Lens" features a more distinctive "prog rock" sound. When Horn and Downes resumed work on the Buggles album, the song was reworked as "I Am a Camera" - now with a tendency towards the characteristic synthpop style of that group. Trevor Horn said about the two versions:
The song "I Am a Camera" was a Buggles track and we had adapted it into a Yes track. It became "Into the Lens" and, naturally, slightly more overblown. I don't mind "Into the Lens"—the melody's unadulterated while the arrangement's a lot more complicated—but I still prefer The Buggles version. I think Geoffrey's brilliant on the The Buggles version.
The two versions feature slightly different lyrics, notably "I will never let you go, and you always let the feelings show" ("Into the Lens") compared to "I will never let you go, if you only let the feelings show" ("I Am a Camera").
The single edit of Yes' own "Into the Lens" was entitled "Into the Lens (I Am a Camera)".
The line "I am a camera" is a quote from Christopher Isherwood's Goodbye to Berlin (1939). The full sentence reads, "I am a camera with its shutter open, quite passive, recording, not thinking." There was also a play (1951) and subsequent film (1955) based on the novel under the name I Am a Camera.
Lyrics: Memories, how they fade so fast Look back, that is no escape Tied down, now you see too late. Lovers, they will never wait.
I am a camera
Take heart, I could never let you go And you, always let the feeling show Love us all, how you never broke your heart You lose them If you feel the feeling start.
I am a camera, camera, camera
And you, may find time will blind you This to just remind you All is meant to be.
Here, by the waterside There, where the lens is wide You and me By the sea Taken in tranquility.
Taken, taken so easily To pass into glass reality Transform, to transfer, to energy.

The album features all original material, with the exception of "Slow Down" (a Larry Williams tune best remembered for a 1964 cover version by The Beatles) injected at mid-song with much of the second stanza of Carl Perkins' "Blue Suede Shoes".
The album also features two hits which received national airplay: "Who's Behind The Door?" and "Tell Me What You Want". On the strength of both singles the album became one of Atlantic's fastest-selling debut albums ever and peaked at #29, attaining a level of commercial success the band was unable to repeat on subsequent releases.
"Take Your Fingers From My Hair" was covered by Dream Theater for the special edition of their 10th studio album, Black Clouds & Silver Linings.
This album, along with the follow-up No Tellin' Lies, was remastered and reissued by UK-based company Rock Candy Records in 2013.
Lyrics: We sailed away We walked 2 thousand miles and then we slipped away We looked so hard But couldn't seem to find just what the world was for Now we know Just what the journey's for
Looking out to the stars Think about what you are What do they think of you Animals in their zoo They haven't got the time Landing's not on their minds How do they have the nerve We're animals in preserve
They watch us all They're only making sure that we don't trip and fall Now they look so hard But they can't tell us why they're here and just what for Because they don't know Who opened up the door
How can we find out more Who owns the keyless door Where does the circle end Who are the unwatched men Where do we go from here Faith is a fading fear Life is a waiting room I hope they don't call me soon
How much more do you really think you know than a flower does about who's behind the door!

The result was Anderson Bruford Wakeman Howe, released in 1989 and supported by a successful tour. Bowing to record company pressure to resurrect the Yes banner, Squire and Anderson came up with the idea of merging both projects, which resulted in the 1991 album Union. In the meantime the ABWH material had been extensively reworked under the supervision of producer Jonathan Elias, which involved replacing many of Howe's guitar parts with new ones played by sessioner Jimmy Haun. Similarly, with Wakeman unavailable because of his heavy touring schedule as a solo artist, many of the keyboard parts were redone by a variety of players in a variety of studios in Los Angeles and New York. Post-production also involved Chris Squire adding backing vocals to a couple of ABWH tracks, but this would remain the extent of the "reunion" of the 1971–72 line-up as bass parts on the tracks were performed by Tony Levin.
Although the supporting world tour was a commercial and critical success, praised by fans and band as one of Yes' best, the album was not as well-received, resulting in sales figures equivalent to those of the ABWH album (half a million copies worldwide). Union would turn out to be Yes' last studio album to have significant sales, though it didn't match the popularity of 1987's Big Generator. One of Union's singles, "Lift Me Up", became Yes' biggest hit on Billboard's Album Rock Tracks chart, reaching the top spot and remaining there for six weeks in early 1991.
Before Union was released, a preview of a sort was released by the record company to generate interest. It contained significantly different mixes of most of the ABWH group's material, from before the extensive session work present on the album. Besides "The More We Live", two other pieces by Squire/Sherwood ("Say Goodbye" and "Love Conquers All") were demos presented for this album but not used. The former appeared in a re-recorded version on the second World Trade album, and the latter was on Yesyears. Both original demos are on the first Conspiracy album by Squire/Sherwood.
Wakeman, Bruford and Howe would depart the sprawling line-up in 1992, returning Yes to its 1983-1988 line-up. Union would be the final Yes album with Bill Bruford, and would be the last album with Steve Howe and Rick Wakeman until their return in 1996.

See the searching, see the people See the searching, see the people See the searching, see the people See the searching, see the people
Out in the darkness and soul searching Did you find what we had lost? All this time I've got to thinking About the promises
How long this energy of winter? How many times do we deliver love? How many times is time enough?
All the foolish notions When love dies that's all that is We can never really understand The broken promises
(with and without it) All along we run together (with and without it) All along we run, we run as one (with and without it) When you find a perfect union (with and without it) You've got to follow it
Stop that reasoning (You've got the answer) You got to stop that thinking out loud (You've got the answer)
Go where your heart takes you to (You've got the answer)
You're not that innocent, you've been around You're not that innocent

Got to be right, got it coming to you How many times is time enough? (time enough) Got to be right, got it coming to you How many times is time enough? (time enough)
Your time is just beginning Out of all where we came from Holding on, This point receiving There it is, there it is, there it is
Holding on, can you remember? Holding on, was it ever like this? Holding on, it's the most important thing Holding on
Holding on, can you remember? (you've got to stop that feeling) Holding on, was it ever like this? (you've got to stop that thinking out loud) Holding on, it's the most important thing (stop where your heart tells you to) Holding on, holding on (stop that feeling)

Lyrics: Hold on to the miracle of life (Hold on)
Hold on to the miracle of life Hold on to the miracle of life Hold on to the miracle of life
Sacred lives, emotions Been washed away like mud You don't want my devotion You'd rather be washed in blood
Can we turn away from this open anger? Can it all betray? Don't you feel the danger to the miracle of life?
Sing when open hearts are calling Shout with open eyes (To the miracle of life) Far below the deepest treasure To the miracle of life
Living in times of luster Waiting for the flood We don't agree with your concepts You'd rather be washed in blood
Is it any wonder? (In my lifetime) Cold depth of blue water Is it any wonder? (In my lifetime) Rising tide to slaughter It's gonna be worth it
Sing when open hearts are calling Shout with open eyes (To the miracle of life) Far below the deepest treasure To the miracle of life
Sing when open hearts are calling Shout with open eyes (To the miracle of life) Far beyond your deepest pleasure To the miracle of life
Pacifica, India, Atlantica, Antarctica,
Can we turn away from this open anger? Can it all betray? Don't you feel the danger to the miracle of life?
Sing when open hearts are calling Shout with open eyes (To the miracle of life) Far below the deepest treasure To the miracle of life

(To the miracle of life) Hold on to the miracle of life Hold on to the miracle of life Hold on to the miracle of life Hold on to the miracle of lifeAja by Steely Dan in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2016-09-03 | From Wikipedia: "Aja" is a jazz rock song by the American rock band Steely Dan from the album of the same name,
released in 1977. It was composed by Walter Becker and Donald Fagen, the band's two members, who
respectively play guitar and synthesizer on the track, with various studio musicians playing the
other parts. Production duties were handled by Gary Katz; ABC Records released the album.
Musically, it is a tonally sophisticated and structurally complex work that was praised on its
release as the most ambitious song the duo had ever attempted. The song's lyrics are the interior
monologue of a man who "run[s] to" the title character to escape the stresses of his life "up on
the hill." Fagen claims it was inspired by a relative of someone he knew, who had married a
Korean woman named Aja. He has described the song as being about the "tranquility that can come
of a quiet relationship with a beautiful woman."
Despite its complexity, and unlike most of the other tracks on the album, it took a very short
time to record, which Becker and Fagen credit to the musicians' superior sight-reading skills.
Denny Dias's guitar work, including a solo, marked the last appearance on a Steely Dan record by
any other founding member of the group. Making their first appearance, on the other hand, were
tenor saxophonist Wayne Shorter and drummer Steve Gadd. Both play solos during the song's
instrumental break that have contributed greatly to its reputation and been considered among
their finest work; Gadd's, the first drum solo in a Steely Dan song, in the song's tag, was
recorded in just two takes. Jazz critic Ben Sidran later called the "Aja" session "a moment when
... pop music suddenly took a turn left."
While it was never released as a single, it is notable as the longest song the band ever
recorded, running approximately eight minutes. It has been a favorite of the band's fans, and
they have performed it in concert since they reunited late in the 20th century and began touring
again, releasing one live version. Many artists, including Woody Herman, have covered it as part
of Steely Dan tribute albums.
Lyrics: Up on the hill People never stare They just don't care Chinese music under banyan trees Here at the dude ranch above the sea Aja When all my dime dancin' is through I run to you
Up on the hill They've got time to burn There's no return Double helix in the sky tonight Throw out the hardware Let's do it right Aja When all my dime dancin' is through I run to you
Up on the hill They think I'm okay Or so they say Chinese music always sets me free Angular banjoes Sound good to me Aja When all my dime dancin' is through I run to youAngkor Wat by Yes in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2016-04-29 | From Wikipedia: "Angkor Wat", named after the Cambodian temple of the same name, was written by Elias, Anderson and Wakeman. During the final days of recording, Elias wanted Wakeman to record some atmospheric keyboard sounds that were then layered and formed as a track. Wakeman recorded each layer without hearing what he recorded before. The song features a Cambodian poem at the end read by Pauline Cheng.
Lyrics: Out of the brightest tree the moon became the morning sun, And there again reflected on the dreams of everyone. Out of the starlight night the telling of all our lives, And racing faster than the Northwestern World.
Starpoint to signal our endlessness Starpoint to signal this evermore Starpoint to compass: We look to the North To return to the centre: Angkor Wat.
Correct ending Poem: In the past, present, and future, You are my knowledge and wealth, and you are everything. You are the Mother, and you are the Father. You are the (a) Friend and Companion Bringing us out of Death to Survival, Showing us the truth, Protecting us and our presence, In the past, present, and future, You are my knowledge and wealth...Our Song by Yes in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2016-03-17 | From Wikipedia: 90125 is the eleventh album by progressive rock group Yes, released in 1983. It was the first album since the breakup of Yes in 1980. It is also the first album to feature Trevor Rabin, and features the return of vocalist Jon Anderson, who had quit the band in 1980. It also marked the first time in twelve years that original keyboardist Tony Kaye had appeared with the group.
The album was simply titled after its Atco Records catalogue number (for example, 7-90125-1 for the LP). Contrary to rumour, it was not named after an American ZIP code, nor is "90125" even an actual ZIP code.
"Our Song" was written by Yes members Jon Anderson (vocals), Trevor Rabin (guitars and keyboards), Chris Squire (bass) and Alan White (drums). The city of Toledo, Ohio is mentioned prominently in the lyrics. According to White, Yes's 1977 show in Toledo was especially memorable to the band, mainly because of the temperature inside the Toledo Sports Arena: it was the hottest venue the band had performed in, reaching 126 degrees Fahrenheit. As a result of the Toledo mention, "Our Song" received heavy airplay in Toledo following the release of 90125.
"Our Song" reached number 32 on the U.S. Mainstream Rock chart in 1983. It was also released as a B-side of the number-one hit single "Owner of a Lonely Heart".
Lyrics: Toledo was just another good stop Along the good king’s highway My fortification took me by surprise And hit me, sending me sideways Spellbound, roundly, good for sunshine Can’t help thinking
Singing the rule Britannia And this is where it grabs you There’s method in the key of C Toledo’s got to be the silver city in this good country
Our song, it gives us a reason Our song, that good remedy Music has magic That stuff of syncopation
Ever tried driving it to golden heights, just simply jiving it My mystification it got a jewel sky crazy spacing it Hot sun, crowded screams high voices Singing speechless
Touching of the healing heart So this is where we really start Music is a shout of foregone conclusions As long as music plays it’s part, good good part Our song, it gives us a reason Our song, that good remedy Music and magic It's good clear syncopation
Treat it good, treat it rightly And if you get it flowing The harmony is glowing So get ready, so get ready Don’t go Toledo, Toledo don’t go Music, good to you Music, good to youOn the Silent Wings of Freedom by Yes in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2015-07-11 | Created and posted in memory of Chris Squire who passed away June 27, 2015. Progressive music lost a great treasure, but his musical legacy will live forever.
From Wikipedia: "On the Silent Wings of Freedom" is a song by Yes. It appears on the 1978 Tormato album. The song
was never released as a single.
The song is the final and longest song on the album. On this particular track, as with most of
the album, Squire sends his bass through his foot pedal controls to give it a more harmonized
sound. Thus, the bass line had a different tonality to it from previous albums, yet was still
able to retain his signature "growl". Though the album itself is considered to be one of Yes's
weakest, most Yes fans, whether they like the album or not, favour this one song, as it is the
closest track to other fan favourites like "Close to the Edge", "Heart of the Sunrise" and
"Awaken".
Lyrics: On the silent wings of Freedom Where I offer myself midst the balancing of the Sun On the winds of Celestial Seasons That would carry me on, midst the balance of being one On the dream of our love Eternal That will eventually bring our living once more with you
Where we are coming from Or where we go We only know we come with sound
Where we are coming from Or where we go We only know we go around and round
On the back of your forty-second screamdown Do you choose to be lost midst the challenge of being one On the flight of regardless feelings As you hurtle to fear midst the challenge of everyone
...
On the darkest night so painful Do you hunger for love midst the torture of being one On the passing light of Easing Have you seen you inside midst the being of Everyone To the common goal of Freedom Where we offer ourselves midst the balancing of the Sun
Where we are coming from Or where we go We only know we come with sound
Where we are coming from Or where we go We only know we go around and roundFinal Eyes by Yes in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2015-06-21 | From Wikipedia: Final Eyes is a song by Yes. It appears on the 1987 Big Generator album. The song appears to have never released as a single, but reached position #20 on the Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the '80s. It appeared on the first four shows of the Big Generator tour exclusively.
Jon Anderson and Trevor Rabin exchange lead vocals on this song.
On the album The song, along with Shoot High, Aim Low and I'm Running, is often considered to be the saving grace of the album by original-period Yes fans, who generally dislike Big Generator for being "too poppy." The song is the third longest on the album, clocking in at just under six and a half minutes. Of the longer songs on the album, it is the most poppy.
In the live setting
The song was only played on the first four shows of the Big Generator tour. Including the announcements before the song itself begins, the track runs for 9 minutes 10 seconds on audience recording from November 14, 1987. In these four performances, the song lasted for between seven and eight minutes. It was the fifth song played in sequence in these shows.
Since then, the song has never been played live. No live versions have been officially released

The album reached #1 in the U.S. on the Billboard album charts, and according to Billboard was the best-selling album in the United States for the year 1982. Asia was certified 4x Platinum by the RIAA on February 10, 1995.
The album contains the band's biggest hit and signature song, "Heat of the Moment", which reached #4 in the U.S. on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Lyrics: You're leaving now it's in your eyes There's no disguising it It really comes as no surprise To find that you planned it all along
I see it now becomes so clear Your insincerity And me all starry eyed You think that I would have known by now
Now sure as the sun will cross the sky This lie is over Lost like the tears that used to tide Me over
(Only time will tell) One thing is sure That time will tell (Only time will tell) If you were wrong The brightest ring around the moon Will darken when I die
Now sure as the sun will cross the sky The lie is over Gone like the tears that used to tide Me over
(Only time will tell) I see it now Becomes so clear (Only time will tell) Your insincerity And me all starry eyed You think that I would have known by now
Now sure as the sun will cross the sky This lie is over Lost like the tears that used to tide Me over (Over, over, over)
(Only time will tell) You're on your own Inside your room (Only time will tell) You're claiming victory You were just using me And there is no one you can use now
(Only time will tell) One thing is sure That time will tellRed Rain by Peter Gabriel in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2015-04-07 | From Wikipedia: "Red Rain" is the first track on Peter Gabriel's 1986 solo album So. In the USA, it was the second single from the album and reached Number 3 on Billboard magazine's Mainstream Rock Tracks chart in the fall of 1986, receiving strong radio airplay and MTV rotation; in the rest of the world it was released until 1987 and received minor airplay and poor sales. Stewart Copeland from The Police played the hi-hat for the rain-like background sound; the rest of the drumming was handled by Jerry Marotta. A live version also charted in the US and the UK in 1994.
The song is a combination of several inspirations. The lyrics directly reference a recurring dream Gabriel was having where he swam in his backyard pool drinking cold red wine. Another version of the dream had bottles falling from a cliff, and the bottles were in the shape of people. When they were smashed on impact with the ground, the people-shaped bottles had red liquid coming out, and then it began to rain the same red liquid.
Earlier in his solo career, Gabriel had an idea for a movie, Mozo. In it, villagers were punished for their sins with a blood-red rain. "Red Rain" was to be the theme song. This idea was eventually scrapped, although there was a mention of Mozo in the song "On the Air" in Peter Gabriel (II). "Down The Dolce Vita", "Here Comes The Flood", and "Exposure" reference the Mozo story, as well.
According to the sleeve notes from the remastered version of So, it is also a reference to acid rain. Based on one interpretation of some of the lyrics it is also thought to refer to nuclear fallout. And there were intimations, early in the song's career, that lines like the following refer to his failing relationship with actress Rosanna Arquette: 'I come to you / defenses down / with the trust of a child'.
Lyrics: Red rain is coming down Red rain Red rain is pouring down Pouring down all over me
I am standing up at the water's edge in my dream I cannot make a single sound as you scream It can't be that cold, the ground is still warm to touch We touch, this place is so quiet, sensing that storm
Red rain is coming down Red rain Red rain is pouring down Pouring down all over me
Well I've seen them buried in a sheltered place in this town They tell you that this rain can sting, and look down There is no blood around, see no sign of pain Hay ay ay no pain Seeing no red at all, see no rain
Red rain is coming down Red rain Red rain is pouring down Pouring down all over me
Red rain Ohhhh Putting the pressure on much harder now To return again and again Just let the red rain splash you Let the rain fall on your skin I come to you defenses down With the trust of a child
Red rain is coming down Red rain Red rain is pouring down Pouring down all over me
And I can't watch any more No more denial It's so hard to lay down in all of this
Red rain coming down Red rain Red rain is pouring down I'm bathing in Red rain coming down Red rain is falling down Red rain is coming down all over me I'm begging you
Red rain coming down Red rain coming down Red rain coming down Red rain coming down
Over me in the red red sea Over me Over me Red rainNever Been Any Reason by Head East in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2015-01-23 | From Wikipedia: "Never Been Any Reason" is the first track on Head East's début album Flat as a Pancake, composed
by the band's guitarist, Mike Somerville. It is often considered Head East's signature song,
peaking at #68 on the Billboard Hot 100, and continues to be played on classic rock radio
stations in the US a generation after it was recorded.
The song features keyboardist Roger Boyd's double-tracked Minimoog solos throughout the song.
Asked about the solos via the band's official web site, Boyd said they were created due to an
accident during mixing:
"It is two Minimoogs. Back in those days we did not have computerized mixing and had to mix
"on the fly;" we forgot to mute one of the moog solos and when it went by we thought WOW! so we
decided to go back and record the second part to match/compliment [sic] the primary solo
part."
Lead vocals are alternated between drummer Steve Huston singing the first two lines of the verses
and lead vocalist John Schlitt on the remainder of the song. Both the last line of each verse
and the choruses feature signature multi-part vocal harmonies sung by all the members of the
band.
The song was featured in the 1993 film Dazed and Confused, and later in the 2005 film Sahara.
Head East is an American hard rock band originally from East Central Illinois. The band was
formed by vocalist John Schlitt, guitarist Danny Piper, keyboardist Roger Boyd, bassist Larry
Boyd, and drummer Steve Huston. They met and formed the band while John, Roger, and Larry were
studying at the University of Illinois, Steve was at Eastern Illinois University 45 miles away
and Danny was not in college. Eventually both Larry and Danny dropped out of the band and were
replaced by Mike Somerville (guitar) and Dan Birney (bass). The band achieved success in the
Midwest during the 1970s, but fell into obscurity in the following decades on both coasts while
remaining strong in the Midwest and South.
Lyrics: Did you see any action? Did you make any friends? Would you like some affection Before I leave again?
Well, I've been walking behind you Since you've been able to see There's never been any reason For you to think about me
Did you have any bad dreams? Did you break any glass? Would you be my companion Is there even a chance?
You've been talking in circles Since I've been able to cry There's never been any reason For never telling me why, yeah, yeah
Save my life I'm going down for the last time Woman with the sweet lovin' Better than a white line
Bring a good feeling Ain't had in such a long time Save my life I'm going down for the last time
Have you ever been lonely? Do you have any fun? Do you ever think of me? I'm just another one.
You never give me no answer You never tell me the truth There's never been any reason For me to think about you, yeah
There's never been any reason There's never been any reason There's never been any reason
Save my life I'm going down for the last time Woman with the sweet lovin' Better than a white line
Don't you know She could bring a good feeling Ain't had in such a long time
Save my life I'm going down for the last time Save my life I'm going down for the last time
Save my life I'm going down for the last time Save my life I'm going down for the last time
Save my life I'm going down for the last time Save my life I'm going down for the last timeBadge by Cream in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-12-08 | From Wikipedia: "Badge" is a song performed by Cream, written by Eric Clapton and George Harrison. It was included as a track on Cream's final album, Goodbye. "Badge" was a minor hit in the U.S., peaking at #60 on Billboard's Hot 100 after its release as a single in April 1969. The single was much more successful in the United Kingdom, where it reached #18.
"Badge" was originally an untitled track. During the production transfer for the album Goodbye, the original music sheet was used to produce the liner notes and track listing. The only discernible word on the page was "bridge" (indicating the song's bridge section). Due to Harrison's handwriting, however, Clapton misread it as "badge" — and the song was titled soon thereafter.
Harrison remembered the story differently: "I helped Eric write "Badge" you know. Each of them had to come up with a song for that Goodbye Cream album and Eric didn't have his written. We were working across from each other and I was writing the lyrics down and we came to the middle part so I wrote 'Bridge.' Eric read it upside down and cracked up laughing-- 'What's BADGE?' he said. After that, Ringo walked in drunk and gave us that line about the swans living in the park."
A common legend or misconception is that the name came about because its chord progression is B-A-D-G-E (it is not), or simply because an anagram of a guitar's standard tuning (E-A-D-G-B-E) can be arranged to spell "Badge"
Lyrics: Thinkin' 'bout the times you drove in my car. Thinkin' that I might have drove you too far. And I'm thinkin' 'bout the love that you laid on my table.
I told you not to wander 'round in the dark. I told you 'bout the swans, that they live in the park. Then I told you 'bout our kid: now he's married to Mabel.
Yes, I told you that the light goes up and down. Don't you notice how the wheel goes 'round? And you better pick yourself up from the ground Before they bring the curtain down. Yes, before they bring the curtain down.
Ah Ah Ah, yeh yeh yeh Ah Ah Ah, yeh yeh yeh
Talkin' 'bout a girl that looks quite like you. She didn't have the time to wait in the queue. She cried away her life since she fell off the cradle.Solsbury Hill by Peter Gabriel in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-12-07 | From Wikipedia: "Solsbury Hill" is a song about a spiritual experience atop Solsbury Hill in Somerset, England. Gabriel wrote the song after his departure from the progressive rock band Genesis, of which he had been the lead singer since its inception, explaining the reasons behind his departure. Despite the eloquence and purity of the vision atop Solsbury Hill, there may be some ambivalence of being free or going solo: "And liberty she pirouette when I think that I am free." It was his debut single. The single was a Top 20 hit in the UK and reached the Top 70 on the Billboard Hot 100.
The song uses a 7/4 time signature for the vast majority of the song. The last two measures of each chorus are in 4/4.
Little Solsbury Hill (more commonly known as Solsbury Hill) is a small flat-topped hill and the site of an Iron Age hill fort. It is located above the village of Batheaston in Somerset, England. The hill rises to 625 feet (191 m)above the River Avon which is just over 1 mile (2 km) to the south. It is within the Cotswolds Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. It gives impressive views of the city of Bath and the surrounding area.
The hill was an Iron Age hill fort occupied between 300 BC and 100 BC, comprising a triangular area enclosed by a single univallate rampart, faced inside and out with well-built dry stone walls and infilled with rubble. The rampart was 20 feet (6 m) wide and the outer face was at least 12 feet (4 m) high. The top of the hill was cleared down to the bedrock, then substantial huts were built with wattle and daub on a timber-frame. After a period of occupation, some of the huts were burnt down, the rampart was overthrown, and the site was abandoned, never to be reoccupied. This event is probably part of the Belgic invasion of Britain in the early part of the 1st century BC.
The flattened top has several strip lynchet and field marker (mere) stones from the medieval period.
The hill is near the Fosse Way Roman Road as it descends Bannerdown hill into Batheaston on its way to Aquae Sulis.
Solsbury Hill is a possible location of the Battle of Mount Badon, fought between the Britons (under the legendary King Arthur) and the Saxons c. 496, mentioned by the chroniclers Gildas and Nennius.
There are three springs on the hill (Northwest, Northeast, and Southeast sides), and an old stream bed used to descend down the south side across what is now farm land.
Lyrics: Climbing up on Solsbury Hill I could see the city light Wind was blowing, time stood still Eagle flew out of the night
He was something to observe Came in close, I heard a voice Standing stretching every nerve I had to listen had no choice
I did not believe the information Just had to trust imagination My heart going boom boom, boom "Son," he said, "Grab your things, I've come to take you home."
Eey bog quill
To keeping silence I resigned My friends would think I was a nut Turning water into wine Open doors would soon be shut
So I went from day to day Tho' my life was in a rut 'Till I thought of what I'd say Which connection I should cut
I was feeling part of the scenery I walked right out of the machinery My heart going boom boom boom "Hey," he said, "grab your things, I've come to take you home." Eey back home
When illusion spin her net I'm never where I want to be And liberty she pirouette When I think that I am free
Watched by empty silhouettes Who close their eyes, but still can see No one taught them etiquette I will show another me
Today I don't need a replacement I'll tell them what the smile on my face meant My heart going boom boom boom "Hey," I said, "You can keep my things, they've come to take me home."Toltec by Jon Anderson in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-11-27 | From Wikipedia: A promo album was released by Geffen called The Power of Silence in 1992. A full release never appeared, but Toltec is essentially the same music, with added narration.
The 1996 Toltec release is made up of 13 cuts divided into three parts. It tells the tale of the Toltec, a Native American concept of a group of people who have been all over the Earth, existing within different cultures throughout the centuries. They are described in the album liner as "Creators of the circles of power, color, perfume, and music healing domes." Musically, it is progressive rock with elements of new age, world music, electronic, and jazz. Anderson provided the vocals, wrote, arranged, and produced the work.Doors of Sleep by Steve Howe in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-09-12 | From Wikipedia: Beginnings is the title of Yes guitarist Steve Howe's first solo album. It was released in 1975.
The five Yes band members each released a solo album in 1975/6. Members Alan White and Patrick Moraz from that line-up guest on Beginnings, while Howe performed on White's Ramshackled album. The album also features former Yes band-member and drummer Bill Bruford on "Pleasure Stole the Night" and "Break Away From It All". There are also members of the English medieval progressive rock band Gryphon, Graeme Taylor, Malcolm Bennett, Dave Oberlé on one of the songs.
Reception Allmusic's retrospective review deemed Beginnings an artistic failure, summarizing that "The playing is strong throughout, but towards what end is the mystery -- none of the songs are particularly memorable, nor is the production[...] and Howe is such a weak singer that he'd have been better off[...] sticking to instrumentals."
Lyrics: Life is just a reflection Sometime mirrored in the past As we strive for perfection
We live until we last
Where the new might grow with the old Where the fool is oft times the wise
Everything has got to be evened out Leaving as without a doubt
Home! Home from the horizon Far and clear Hither to the soft wings Sweep! Flocks of the memories... Of days draw near
Life is just a reflection Sometime mirrored in the past As we strive for perfection We live until we last
The dove-cote doors of sleep Oh which way are they, that come through this sweet light Of all these homing birds Which? with the straightest and the swiftest flight Your words to me, your words
The first time I took this girl's hand She was as if for whom I was born And there's more besides a fair morning Needed for a fair day
Home! Home from the horizon Far and clear Hither to the soft wings Sweep! Flocks of the memories... Of days draw near
Home...home...Turn of the Century by Yes in 720p HDvzqk50HD2014-07-29 | From Songmeanings.com: "Turn of the Century", 1978: Jon A. has spoken of becoming a friend of the painter (sometimes sculptor...) Marc Chagall in Paris in 1970-something, around the time when Anderson became known as an amateur painter.
Anderson has also told another story which is not strictly historical: When the Chagalls moved from Russia to Europe and Marc became the incredibly famous painter (this would be around1920), Chagall's perhaps less adaptive wife was absolutely unsuited and not prepared. Deprived of Marc's masculine strengths due to the world's demands on his incredible talent, and feeling so lost in a new environment, "she died" as the song says. Anderson might have said "she killed herself", but that's so dramatic. (anyway Bella died in 1954, a very long time to spend dying). Anyway Chagall himself died in 1985 and since then Anderson has hinted this tale is an element in this particular song... and the parallels are abundant, but the story itself, & what a story - is not strictly true. The song though.... is one of their more direct lyrics -and the guitar pyrotechnics make it holy and sublime.
Lyrics: Realising a form out of stone, Set hands moving. Roan shaped his heart, Through his working hands. Worked to mold his passion into clay, Like the sun.
In his room, his lady, She would dance and sing so completely. "So be still," he now cries, "I have time, oh let clay transform thee so."
In the deep cold of night, Winter calls, he cries "Don't deny me!" For his lady, deep her illness. Time has caught her, And will for all reasons take her.
In the still light of dawn, she dies. Helpless hands soul revealing.
Like leaves we touch, we learn. We once knew the story. As winter calls he will starve, All but to see the stone be life.
Now Roan, no more tears. Set to work his strength, So transformed him. Realizing a form out of stone, His work so absorbed him.
Could she hear him? Could she see him? All aglow was his room, Dazed in this light. He would touch her, He would hold her.
Laughing as they danced, Highest colors touching others.
Did her eyes at the turn of the century, Tell me plainly. How we'll meet, how we'll love, Oh, let life so transform me.
Like leaves we touch, we dance. We once knew the story. As autumn called and we both, Remembered all those many years ago. I'm sure we know.
Was the sign in the day with a touch, As I kiss your fingers. We walk hands in the sun, Memories when we're young, Love lingers so.
Was it sun through the haze, That made all your looks, As warm as moonlight? As a pearl deep your eyes, Tears have flown away, All the same light.
Did her eyes at the turn of the century, Tell me plainly. When we meet, how we'll look, As we smile time will leave me clearly.
Like leaves we touch, we see, We will know the story. As autumn calls we'll both remember, All those many years ago.Its Been a While by Staind in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-07-17 | From Wikipedia: Break the Cycle is Staind's third studio album from 2001. It is Staind's most successful album to date, and was the album that broke them into the mainstream. It was a huge international success for the band, as it spent 3 weeks at number 1 position in the U.S. album charts and many weeks in the top 10 album charts of The Billboard 200, the UK and New Zealand. It sold 4 million copies in 2001. A total of 5 singles were released from this album, "It's Been Awhile", "Fade", "Outside", "For You" and "Epiphany", all of which did reasonably well. There were videos made for each of these songs (some of which can be found on Staind's MTV Unplugged DVD). The first four singles had varying degrees of success in the UK, "It's Been Awhile" charting the highest of the four released in both countries. The album also includes a track called "Waste" dedicated to two teenage fans who committed suicide. While a heavy metal album, the album begins to show the bands future post-grunge style which is very evident in the album's hit "It's Been Awhile". There is also a bonus track on the album. In the U.S., the bonus track is an acoustic version of "It's Been Awhile". However on the Australian and European editions, the bonus track is a live acoustic version of "Outside", performed with Fred Durst in Biloxi, Mississippi on the Family Values Tour 1999.
Lyrics: And it's been a while Since I could hold my head up high And it's been a while since I first saw you And it's been a while since I could stand on my own two feet again And it's been a while since I could call you
And everything I can't remember As fucked up as it all may seem The consequences that I've rendered I've stretched myself beyond my means
It's been awhile Since I can say that I wasn't addicted And it's been a while since I can say I love myself as well and And it's been a while since I've gone and fucked things up just like I always do And it's been a while but all that shit seems to disappear when I'm with you
And everything I can't remember As fucked up as it all may seem The consequences that I've rendered I've gone and fucked things up again, yeah... Why must I feel this way? Just make this go away Just one more peaceful day
And it's been a while Since I could look at myself straight And it's been a while since I said I'm sorry And it's been a while since I've seen the way the candles light your face And it's been a while but I can still remember just the way you taste
And everything I can't remember As fucked up as it all may seem to be, I know it's me I cannot blame this on my father He did the best he could for me
And it's been a while Since I could hold my head up high And it's been a while since I said I'm sorryCant Find My Way Home by Blind Faith in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-07-12 | From Wikipedia: "Can't Find My Way Home" is a song written by Steve Winwood, that was first released by Blind Faith on their 1969 album Blind Faith. Rolling Stone, in a review of the album, noted that the song featured "Ginger Baker's highly innovative percussion" and judged the lyric "And I'm wasted and I can't find my way home" to be "delightful".
Lyrics: Come down off your throne And leave your body alone Somebody must change
You are the reason I've been Waiting all these years Somebody holds the key
When I'm near the end And I just ain't got the time And I'm wasted And I can't find my way home
Come down off your throne own And leave your body alone Somebody must change
Come down on your own And leave your money at home Somebody holds the key
When I'm near the end And I just ain't got the time And I can't find my way home
Come down off your throne And leave your body alone Somebody must change
You are the reason I've been Waiting all these years Somebody holds the key
When I'm near the end And I just ain't got the time Ohh, and I'm wasted And I can't find my way home
Somebody holds the key Let me be free Let love beHoliday by Scorpions in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-05-01 | From Wikipedia: Lovedrive is the sixth studio album by the German heavy metal band Scorpions, released in 1979. Considered by some critics to be the pinnacle of their career, Lovedrive was a major evolution of the band's sound, exhibiting their "classic style" that would be later developed over their next few albums. Lovedrive cemented the "Scorpions formula" of heavy metal songs mixed with melodic ballads.
Lovedrive reached No. 55 on the US charts, demonstrating that the band was gathering an international following. The RIAA certified the record as Gold on 28 May 1986, and the album ranked 25 on IGN's list of the top 25 metal albums.
This is the first album to feature Matthias Jabs on lead guitar, and by extension, the first record to feature the band's "classic" lineup. Jabs replaced Uli Jon Roth, who went on to form his own band, Electric Sun.
Michael Schenker, younger brother of rhythm guitarist Rudolf, who had just split from UFO, recorded the solo guitar parts on "Another Piece Of Meat", "Coast To Coast" and "Lovedrive". At the beginning of their German tour in February 1979 it was announced that Michael had rejoined the band. Scorpions had reluctantly parted with Matthias Jabs again. However, during the tour Michael once again informed his bandmates of his impending departure, which led to Jabs' return.
The cover depicted a man and woman in formalwear seated in the back of a car, with one of the woman's breasts exposed and connected to the man's hand by stretched bubblegum. The back cover featured the same man and woman, but holding a photograph of the band, and her left breast completely exposed (without the gum). It was created by Storm Thorgerson of the design firm Hipgnosis. It caused some controversy upon the album's release and was subsequently banned, with later pressings of the album bearing a simple design of a blue scorpion on a black background. The album's artwork was named "Best album sleeve of 1979" by Playboy magazine.
Recalling the cover photo with the girl and the car, Thorgerson remarked: "Not exactly the most politically correct scene you've ever seen. I thought it was funny, but women read a different inflection into it now."
In a 2010 interview, singer Klaus Meine commented on the album cover, stating: "We just did not know it would be a problem in America, it was just sex and rock 'n' roll. It is odd that in America some of these covers were a problem, because in the 80's when we would tour here, we always had boobs flashed to us at the front of the stage. Nowhere else in the world, just here. We just did not think it would be a problem to put out a record like Lovedrive in America. Deadly Sting: The Mercury Years was banned at Wal Mart and Pure Instinct was banned as well."
This is one of the few Scorpions album covers that was initially edited upon release in many places because of its controversial nature, only to have the original uncensored art restored for the remaster series.
Lyrics: Let me take you far away You'd like a holiday Let me take you far away You'd like a holiday
Exchange the cold days for the sun A good time and fun Let me take you far away You'd like a holiday
Let me take you far away You'd like a holiday Let me take you far away You'd like a holiday
Exchange your troubles for some love Wherever you are Let me take you far away You'd like a holiday
Longing for the sun, you will come To the island without name Longing for the sun, be welcome On the island many miles away from home Be welcome on the island without name
Longing for the sun, you will come To the island many miles away from home Away from home Away from home Away from homeSave It by Esquire in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-03-24 | From Wikipedia: Esquire are an English rock band noted for their progressive, art, and symphonic style of rock music. Lyrics: Did this happen long ago you lover. Oh how far we had to go, to discover. Now we don't talk no more, no more. To each other. Save it, save all, save us. Save it, save all, save us. Now we don't talk no more, Now we don't talk no more.
What is this heart supposed to do. When there is no one there but you. Only one answer now we're through. Cry, cry for you.
If we had the chance again you know I miss you. Some how to turn back time and go with us to.
Be all of you all of me. Save it, save all, save us. Save it, save all, save us.
Now we don't talk no more, Now we don't talk no more. Now we don't talk no more, Now we don't talk no more.
What is this heart supposed to do. When there is no one there but you. Only one answer now we're through. Cry, cry for you.
I know there's only me and you. What is this heart supposed to do. Only one answer now we're through. Cry, cry for you.
Inside of me I walk alone, decidedly. Longing for the love we've known, beside of me. Love lives on, live on love. Save it, save all, save us. Save it, save all, save us.Eyes of Love by Trevor Rabin in 1080p HDvzqk50HD2014-01-20 | The version you are listening to is from Yes' Affirmative: The Yes Solo Family Album which includes the intro "Etoile Noir" although I did not individually show it on the credits since the Yes album did not. I am sure some will notice this and say WTF, but thats cool, I understand. This is a great song and well worth buying both Trevor's and Yes' albums for this.
From Wikipedia: Can't Look Away is the fourth studio album by former Yes guitarist Trevor Rabin, released on July 10, 1989 through Elektra Records; a remastered edition was reissued in 2011 through Voiceprint Records. It reached #111 on the Billboard 200 chart in 1989 and remained on that chart for ten weeks.
Lyrics: Are you waiting for your freedom Or a love you just don't know? I can see you through my window Did you know your feelings show? Are you looking towards the border? Hold out for something new
Does the white, bright, right and degradation Wear you down the way we want it to Calling on you for confirmation In a way that we feel is good for you
Eyes of love look down on me When you gonna see? Eyes of love send down the key Will you deliver me tomorrow?
Are you searching for an answer? Are you questioning it all? I can reach you But I can't feel you Are you living in surrender Or just waiting for a call?
Does the white, bright, right and degradation Wear you down the way we want it to We will control the information In a way that we feel is good for you
Eyes of love look down on me When you gonna see? Eyes of love send down the key Will you deliver me tomorrow?
