If you're running a 3D print farm, the cheapest printer isn't always the cheapest machine to own.
In this video, I break down why I'm moving away from Bambu Lab P Series printers for more of my production work and toward larger, more capable machines like the H2S. This isn't because the P Series is bad. In fact, the P1S is still one of the best-value 3D printers on the market. The problem is that once you're running a real production business, purchase price is only part of the equation.
We compare real-world output, print times, labor, restart windows, downtime, maintenance, build quality, larger-format capability, and the hidden cost of having to babysit a printer throughout the day.
In my example, the smaller printer can theoretically produce more parts in 24 hours, but only if I'm there at exactly the right time to unload the bed, clean it, reload filament, start the next job, and verify the first layer. Miss that window and the math changes fast.
That's the real question:
Are you buying the cheapest printer, or are you buying the most profitable production capacity?
If you're building a print farm, selling 3D printed products, or trying to decide between a Bambu Lab P Series printer and one of the newer H Series machines, this video should give you another way to think about ROI.

Are H-series printers and large-format printers actually more cost-effective? I break down the maintenance and capacity numbers.
When scaling up, the math changes. I look at the long-term utility of H-series printers versus standard setups to see if the increased capacity justifies the investment. This is about real-world numbers, not manufacturer specs, to determine if you are actually achieving cost-effective printing.
We also cover 3D printer maintenance and how it dictates your actual print farm productivity. Understanding these costs is essential for anyone trying to make money with a fleet of machines. Large-format printers require specific attention to stay profitable. Choosing the right hardware is about balancing output with reliable uptime.
How much money can you make with a 3D print farm? In this video, I break down my real 3D printing business income, revenue, expenses, and profit from the past 12 months running a 12-printer Bambu Lab print farm.
I started the year with 12 Bambu Lab P1S 3D printers. About six months ago, I upgraded the farm by replacing six of those machines with six Bambu Lab H2D printers, giving me a real-world look at the Bambu Lab P1S vs H2D, print farm productivity, speed, reliability, operating costs, and whether upgrading actually helped me make more money.
If you are thinking about starting a 3D printing business, building a 3D printer farm, selling 3D printed products, or trying to make money with Bambu Lab printers, this video shows what the numbers actually look like.
I cover: How much my 3D print farm made in one year 3D printing revenue vs profit My real 3D print farm expenses Bambu Lab P1S print farm performance Bambu Lab H2D print farm performance Bambu Lab P1S vs H2D for a production business Cost of running 12 3D printers Filament, electricity, maintenance, and equipment costs Scaling a 3D printing side hustle Selling 3D printed products for profit Print farm upgrades and ROI Is a 3D printing business profitable in 2026? Can you make a full-time income with 3D printing? What I would do differently starting a print farm today
This is not a theoretical āhow to make money with 3D printingā video. These are my actual results from a working 3D printing business using Bambu Lab printers in a production environment.
If you're researching 3D print farm income, 3D printing for profit, Bambu Lab P1S, Bambu Lab H2D, 3D printing side hustles, Etsy 3D printing, selling 3D prints online, or how to start a small manufacturing business with 3D printers, this should give you a much better idea of what is realistic.

In this unsponsored Bambu Lab A2L review, we are stress-testing the new Adaptive Vibration Compensation and putting their aerospace-inspired granular dampers to the ultimate test.
Everyone wants a budget-friendly large 3D printer, but physics usually makes large bed slingers a nightmare for print quality. Critics like Louis Rossmann are calling it a war on open source, but from a business operations perspective, thatās only half the story.
In this video, Iām stepping out of the "hobbyist" shoes and putting on my executive hat to explain why Bambu Lab is doing exactly what any billion-dollar hardware company has to do to survive. Weāre moving past the "Open Source" emotions and looking at the cold, hard reality of:
Infrastructure Liability: Why "impersonating" an app is a nightmare for a companyās AWS bill and server stability.
The "House Rules" Logic: Why owning the blueprints (the code) doesn't give you a legal right to kick in the front door (the cloud).
Platform Governance: How Bambu is trying to avoid the "support drift" that kills hardware startups.
The "HP-ification" Myth: Is this actually DRM, or just a company finally growing up and protecting its moat?
You might not like the answer, but if you want to understand how the "real world" of tech works, you need to see the side of the story that isn't being told.

Between the delays and the release of the Centauri Carbon 2, it felt like vaporware.
I was wrong. Elegoo just officially dropped the Canvas System, and itās a massive win for anyone still rocking the original Carbon. Not only did they make good on the promise, but theyāre releasing it for just $55. At that price, itās basically a "thank you" to the early adopters.
In this video, weāre tearing into the Canvas system to see if a $55 upgrade can actually handle 4-color printing reliably. We'll look at the installation (yes, there's a bit of surgery involved), the new 4-motor drive system, and whether the "tangle prevention" is more than just marketing speak.
Itās not often Iām happy to be proven wrong, but for $55, Iāll take this "L" all day long.

The "bamboo is dead" prophecy has finally come to pass. At least, thatās what the comment sections would have you believe.
In this session, weāre doing a strict, non-sugarcoated Hardware Audit on the brand new sales page for the Prusa INDX tool-changing system. We are moving past the hype and looking at the cold, hard mathematics.
Yes, the long-awaited INDX is almost here (best case scenario: end of summer). And yes, it promises a level of artistry and pure engineering logic that we expect from Prusa. But the rancher needs a tractor that works, and it needs to be delivered on budget.
We are diving into the numbers that embarrassed the fanboys:
The Delayed Release: Bamboo Lab (H2C) and Snapmaker (U1) have been shipping their multi-material/tool-changing solutions for nearly a year. Why are we still waiting on a promise?
The "INDX Tax": When you add up the price of a mid-size configuration (similar to a P1S) with 4 tool heads and shipping, you are looking at nearly $2,600.
The Math Problem: For that price, you could almost buy three standard Snapmaker U1 setups, or significantly more than BBL's top-tier large-format H2C system.
This isn't about hate; it's about logic. The 3D printing landscape is about results.
