One of the most complex tasks in V - Getting 4 special vehicles from Jewel Heist + special shines

Mr. Phantom 2024-08-26 | Temporary video to help some people out and also to showcase the new MARKING trick used to get the EC2/Lustered Washington, which until now was proven to be sort of impossible as "Lustered". This is the kind of stuff I have been dealing with last few months, just testing new ideas.

Method is long and complex, so prepare to reload alot.

Vehicles which I obtain from Jewel Heist (Loud): EC2/Lustered Washington, EC/EC2/EE/Lustered/PP Benson, EC2/EP/Lustered Burrito and Unique Bati 801RR.

1) SITUATION BEFORE THE PROCESS: Latest version of GTA V, Michael's interior garage bought, Franklin's interior NOT bought (used for marking). Franklin has at least or over 30 000$. Impounds are CLEANED and vehicles in them destroyed in water. Special vehicles and their locations: Lustered Bullet, NE Taxi and NE Police Cruiser stored in Michael's interior garage. EC/EC2/EL Premier with EC rims stored in Franklin's aunt's house. All the story missions completed up to Jewel Heist EXCEPT The Long Stretch, which is going to be used later for the PP Conversion. "Loud" approach chosen with Karim Denz, Packie McReary and Christian Feltz. Note that the BEST crew would involve Rickie Lukens, however I was dumb and skipped his call while preparing without even noticing. If you can, wait and answer Rickie's call and choose him instead of Christian. Packie needs a random event to be chosen and Karim needs to be chosen for Bati 801RR. Carbine Rifles setup mission is on the map, too.

2) PREPARATION: first, you need random Washington for the marking trick. I advise searching for it since the beginning of the game. This should be stored next to Premier, in a way so both can still be entered. Secondly, you need a small Towtruck. Best to find one on NG is just by driving back and forth on two huge bridges above the harbor, until you find one. Towtruck will be stored at M's safehouse. Thridly, you need a Dozer. Best to get one is from "construction accident" random event. Dozer will also go to M's safehouse, in a way so both vehicles can be entered. Just in case, both characters should have max health and armor. One spot also HAS TO BE free in M's interior garage, so you can enter garage mode.

3) STEP 1: Impounding EC Premier. In aunt's house it bothers us impounding Burrito later so it needs to be moved out of the way. Easiest to impound it is with any mod shop, however, not to be forced to "repair" it I additionally switch to Michael and back before I go there.

4) STEP 2: Marking. Go back to aunt's and grab the random Washington, drive it to unbought F's interior garage. Switch to Michael and drive him near Franklin's location, but so they won't start talking about the hangout. If M is at his house, you can already go there with Towtruck, but this isn't a necessity. M HAS TO stay inside the vehicle. Switch back to F and start buying the garage while inside the Washington. When the SECOND prompt appears about "confirming", click it and right after, start holding the switch button. Now, it's about timing when you release it. In my case, it is 7 seconds from when I start holding the button down and release it above M's icon. Key to success is releasing it right BEFORE the animation appears which shows the interior garage. As you can see, after I switch, I get the interior garage flash on the screen for a second. THAT is what you want and this is what marks the car. If you are too late, you should reload, if too early, can just immediately try again and wait abit more. If successful, switch back to F and deliver the now marked Washington to shown location. Doesn't have to be so specific, but it has to be near the area where special Washington would spawn during the mission, OFF THE ROAD, so scripted stuff won't ram it.

5) STEP 3: Entering garage mode. Switch back to M and go get the Towtruck, if you didn't in STEP 2. Drive it to his interior, call Taxi and before you use it to enter garage mode, make sure the setup has spawned. Also, just in case, test how and if the interaction menu opens. When successful, sit inside the Towtruck and put the hook down. Then, open the interaction menu to start driving. While the interaction menu is down, you must NOT touch any driving related controls.

6) STEP 4: Starting the heist. Go to Hs setup and try to hook up the FIB. If successful, release all controls, close interaction menu, and raise the hook, then opening the menu again when NOOSE guys exit and drive off. Best to lose cops is inside tunnels, one of which I also show. If cops are lost, release controls, unhook the FIB and exit. WAIT past the TWO propts talking about M's special ability, then enter the truck, open the menu and deliver it to yellow marker. Everything will softlock so you need to go search for the taxi. I show the rough location but in case this takes too long, you can try setting "population variety" setting to max on PC. If you find the taxi, keep teleporting between shown ammu-nation and back till the heist unlocks.

Atomic ECs: Metallic White (Ice White), Util Red, Util Light Brown, Metallic Blue Silver (Bluish Silver), Metallic Silver, and Worn White

Pharte Gas ECs: Metallic Ultra Blue (Racing Blue), Metallic White (Ice White), Util Light Brown, Metallic Blue Silver (Bluish Silver), Metallic Silver, and Worn White

McGill-Olsen ECs: Metallic Ultra Blue (Racing Blue), Util Red, Util Light Brown, Metallic Blue Silver (Bluish Silver), Metallic Silver, and Worn White

Remember, not ALL colors are special even on these three specific Liveries. The ones that are NOT special are: Metallic Ultra Blue (Racing Blue) "Atomic" Burrito, Metallic White (Ice White) "McGill-Olsen" Burrito, Util Red "Pharte Gas" Burrito, and ANY color on the "LSDWP" Burrito.

Just so you know, the secondary color on all the Burritos is the same as the primary. The same could be said for the luster, but the Util Red and Util Light Brown Burritos have a Metallic Black luster, and the Metallic Silver and Metallic Blue Silver (Bluish Silver) Burritos have a Metallic White (Ice White) luster. All rims have a traffic color.
