It's More Likely That John Dutton Will Die According To Taylor Sheridan's Plan For Kevin Costner's Absence.

Kelly Reilly, who plays Beth Dutton in Yellowstone, disclosed to Entertainment Weekly that Taylor Sheridan's plans have always called for John Dutton to be absent. The showrunner realized Yellowstone's neo-Western drama's ending lacked John Dutton even before Kevin Costner left. Reilly clarified:

"The conclusion included the absence. That was already woven into the fabric of the plot, so we didn't need to change it. things was only that things transpired somewhat differently from how it was always going to."

Costner's character dying is therefore more possible than ever because Sheridan's original plan for the show's conclusion included John Dutton's absence in Yellowstone season 5, part 2. Since the first season, Sheridan has known how he wanted Yellowstone to conclude. Many say that his intention was always to do five seasons, and what better way to wrap out the show than with the passing of John Dutton? Gator said that Costner has a bit of a sweet appetite, so "simple recipes, like bread pudding," are perfect for him. But grilled octopus is a far cry from bread pudding, hot dogs, and chili. Although Beth (Kelly Reilly), the daughter of John Dutton, would be keen to experiment with a Mediterranean diet, the patriarch of the family was not in favor of it. Considering that other actors have had to consume the eight-legged monsters on camera while pretending to eat, it's amusing that Costner was so repulsed by a nicely arranged platter of grilled octopus tentacles. For instance, actor Chace Crawford of "The Boys" had to behave as though he was eating his friend Timothy, an octopus. Fortunately, computer images were used to create the scene, so no octopuses were hurt in real life. Then there's "Oldboy," directed by Park Chan-wook, in which Choi Min-sik, the lead actress, had to eat real octopuses.

In actuality, the actor—who is vegetarian and a follower of Buddhism—had to consume four live octopuses to perfect the scenario. He expressed his genuine commitment to his act and his convictions by apologizing to the small animals and said a prayer for each of them. Would Costner consume four real octopuses while filming? That's thirty-six legs covered in sucker squirming. Not in my opinion. Fortunately, he can stick to his beans and weenies and appears to be very focused on creating westerns for the remainder of his career.

Writing John off makes a lot of sense when it comes to increasing his kids' stories—from raising the stakes on Jamie and Beth's quarrel to enhancing Rip's role on the ranch to making Kayce face his inner conflict over choosing his family or the ranch.

In addition, Taylor Sheridan's two earlier Yellowstone series, 1923 and 1883, have demonstrated that readers are eager to read about the Dutton family as a whole, rather than just John Dutton. In addition, after four and a half seasons, viewers have developed a deep affection for John's children, the boys from the bunkhouse, and the complete ensemble of supporting roles in this contemporary Western. The action movie Revenge stars Costner as confident American fighter pilot Michael J. In contrast to Maverick, who ultimately emerges from the film with a greater sense of personal accomplishment even though he does not win the Top Gun trophy, Jay is ultimately left for dead. This could be attributed to Scott's moral obligation to have permitted Maverick's recklessness to be justified in his previous film.

Having said all of this, the movie didn't think twice about casting its lead as a bold but ultimately tragic Maverick, whose tale only grows more tragic the closer he gets to the point at which he allows love and lust to control him. However, despite this film's negative reviews, Quentin Tarantino used it as inspiration for some of his best films.

How True Romance Was Inspired by This Darker Version of Top Gun.

The 1990 movie has a dismal 30% critical rating on Rotten Tomatoes alone, and a 54% audience score on the Popcornmeter. Nevertheless, Tarantino belonged to the group of fans who genuinely enjoyed the film for its grim perspective. Not only that, but the director acknowledged that Scott was chosen to direct True Romance for precisely the same reason.

In a 2003 interview with the Tampa Bay Times, the filmmaker of Inglorious Basterds said as much:

I love that movie so much. To be more precise, that's why I encouraged Tony to direct True Romance and worked hard to make it happen. I said to myself, "I want the guy who did Revenge to direct my film."

The Mad Max star Abbey told the magazine that she finds the Yellowstone actor's casual disregard for the "rules" of filmmaking impressive.

Only a few months prior in May, Abbey's performance in Kevin's lengthy western drama received nothing but positive reviews, thanks to the Oscar winner.

Just months before the film's VIFF premiere, the producer claimed at the Cannes Film Festival that he was always "adding things" for Abbey's parts in Chapter 2 of his film epic because he wanted to see more of the Australian actor.

People thought I was insane since I couldn't sleep at night and I wanted to carry on her story a little bit. You've completed [Chapter] 2, Kevin. I'm not, he said.

What hobbled into theaters on the other side was The Postman, an enormous calamity that prevented him from advancing in his career for decades. At the Golden Raspberry Awards, Costner's first directing endeavor since Dances with Wolves, which was a box office bomb, won every trophy it was nominated for, including "Worst Picture," "Worst Director," and "Worst Actor."

Another embarrassing error occurred when he declined the lead part in Air Force One, which was created especially for him to play and went on to become Harrison Ford's highest-grossing picture outside of Star Wars and Indiana Jones during his whole career. The initial The Postman script, which was so awful even the author of the source novel couldn't stand it, underwent extensive rewriting by Costner.

Additionally, there is footage showing Wes Bentley in the role of Jamie Dutton, scrambling to destroy documents as if an FBI raid were imminent.

We're not sure how Costner's John Dutton will be written out of the show exactly yet because the teaser shows no signs of a spectacular farewell or funeral. Costner was reportedly absent from the set when Season 5 Part 2 was being filmed.

In a June 20 social media message, the actor personally announced his departure, stating he would be unable to continue on Yellowstone.

The matriarch of the Skyes family, Dale Dickey, sends her sons after Lucy after Lucy (Jena Malone) shoots the dangerous James Sykes (Charles Halford) earlier in the movie. Lucy then travels south to Wyoming with her own son, Sam. Living under a false identity and married to the criminal Walter Childs (Michael Angarano), Lucy visits one of her new husband's "gold-rich" land transactions. But none other than Caleb and Junior Skyes (Jon Beavers), the Skyes brothers, are the purchasers of the land.

After a shooting breaks out in Lucy's house, Hayes kills the evil Caleb.

After killing Walter mercilessly, Caleb gives the order for his soldiers to abduct Lucy. Later, Junior gives Caleb the order to find Sam. Sam was being watched over by Lucy's co-resident, Marigold (Abbey Lee), a sex worker, before she left the house. As fate would have it, horse merchant Hayes Ellison happens to be one of Marigold's clients. Hayes learns that the insane Caleb will kill anybody who stands in his way, including Marigold, when he shows up to retrieve Sam. After a shooting breaks out in Lucy's house, Hayes kills the evil Caleb.

There's little doubt that Stranger Things Season 5 will kill Jamie Campbell Bower's villain once more and copy Horizon Chapter 1.

Even though Horizon killed off one of Jamie Campbell Bower's most evil characters before Stranger Things did, it's obvious that Vecna's death will also conclude the Netflix series' fifth and final season, in one way or another.
