In this video we interview my Japanese friend about her Seijinshiki (Hatachi no Tsudoi) Celebration last year. Whether it's wearing a Furisode (a type of Kimono) or hanging out with friends from years past, Seijinshiki is a special day for millions of Japanese people.

The process of dyeing the string to make Temari balls, as well as the entire process of crafting them will be covered in this video.
We also get to know the craftspeople behind Kurashiki Temari--Yoshiko-san and her beloved grandmother. They have a heart warming tale that'll inspire you to take up a hobby with your loved ones--I'm sure of it!

Here they provide Kimono wearing experiences for their guests. Whether they want wedding photos, are doing day-trips to Kyoto and want to wear Kimono around town, or have models for freelance ventures. They provide full make-up and hair styling to produce that traditional Japanese look.
There are many facets to Nihongami that I never knew about. So I felt privileged to learn about this traditional hairstyle from Chika-san.
I hope you enjoy the video and come visit their shop!

I walked around using a gimbal and one of my mirrorless cameras. While I wish that the footage was more stabilized and well exposed, I found that fatigue, as well as the elements are somewhat against you in a one-shot video!
I hope you guys enjoy the footage.
BIG THANK YOU to my friend Xavier, who thought of this whole idea. Without his suggestion, I wouldn't have made this. Hopefully this will be part 1 of an ongoing series of walk-around videos in Okayama, Japan.
