A Visit to the Spillway at Pymatuning State Park (plus Shoppie Show and Tell and Bag Of The Day!) Bag Lady Flo 2026-09-22 | The Spillway at Pymatuning State Park is a rite of passage if you live in Northwestern Pennsylvania. I remember going there as a child in third grade on a field trip, but didn't make it back for another visit until several years ago with my husband. Since then, we make an annual "pilgrimage" to feed the fish (and the birds too) and enjoy the day in nature. There are a lot of other things to do at Pymatuning as it's THE largest state park in Pennsylvania. I hope you enjoy this video of a visit we made recently. I apologize for the wind noise, I was just using the microphone built in to the camera and since I had my hair pulled up, did not realize JUST how windy it was until I played the footage back, argh!!!We took our own bread because we weren't sure if they would have the gift shop open as our visit was after Labor day. On the weekends and throughout the summer, they sell old bread that is donated to them from various companies to raise funds to help support their efforts. While it may seem strange to throw bread to wildlife in a state park, an exception has been made to allow it here as it has been a tradition for as long as anyone can remember. They do ask that you restrict what you feed the birds and fish is strictly the bread or pellets that are available there. Keep in mind too, we were further up from the actual "spillway" on the grounds, the fish can be even more plentiful there! It's a nice complex, much improved from when I was there as a kid. And yes, I know I spelled "eighth" wrong, argh! This is a great bag and it holds more than you might think. Paired it with my Mofusand charm and card holder, a scarf from Amazon, a Coach zip wristlet from 2009, a Portland Leather Goods sunglasses case in Wild Rose and a Harrod's cosmetic bag that was a thrift store find. My Review of Modern Prairie Products I Recently Purchased Bag Lady Flo 2026-07-05 | Modern Prairie is a brand co-founded by Melissa Gilbert of Little House On The Prairie fame. Many of the products are modern takes on prairie "style" and all of the products are produced by women owned companies. After I filmed this, I learned that while the products I reviewed were DESIGNED in the US, they were MADE in India. I'll admit, that was rather disappointing but not surprising. I do still like the products, but going forward, I may research a bit more into why they are not made in the US. My response to a video by @WinnieBeeLV Bag Lady Flo 2026-07-01 | Last week, @WinnieBeeLV talked about her boredom with luxury handbags at the moment and put it out there for whoever wanted to, go ahead and give their two cents. @jamesjamm did a really good video and then tagged several of us to give our opinions and she tagged me!I'm going to be honest. I'm not so much bored with luxury as I am disgusted and disappointed. Luxury...it's become a bit of a joke with the extreme high prices and constant increases, scarcity mindset and hype, throw in some scandal, lack of quality standards...it's a big fat NO for me. Contemporary brands aren't doing much better with some of that either. Who am I really annoyed with? Watch the video!
