I remember when I finally got to have a match against Elidibus in Ardbert's body, Warrior against Warrior, I popped off big time. But due to the circumstances of who we're actually fighting against, I made this one a lot more different from the other two, whilst keeping the main leitmotifs. For while it's still Elidibus that we're fighting, it's still a bit of a closing chapter on the tale of the Warriors of Darkness, who sacrificed their lives and left their bodies behind, only to have said bodies be used by nefarious wills later on. ... This one's been rummaging in the back of my head since 5.5 dropped, and I was hit with the realization that Birth of a Wish was not gonna be used throughout the whole raid series at all. Once I came to learn this sad truth. I started theorizing where they could have used it, then I started thinking what FFXIV-related it would fit with. Once I made it to noticing how I could fit in Ultima, I started imagining scenarios where the Machine Lifeforms would squirm and huddle together to form their own version of the Ultima Weapon. And that's when I decided I had to make this, and commissioned DTee to design and draw this sick take on a Machine Lifeform Ultima Weapon. So I guess you could say that all of this was due to the birth of a wish that Birth of a Wish would be featured in the FFXIV-raids... Hehe. The original job of the commission was to make a medley of the tracks you hear in the "Final Steps of Faith"-Trial in Final Fantasy XIV: Heavensward; where the first part (Dragonsong) was to sound mostly like the original. The second part (Freefall) was to keep the orchestration of the original, but sound more pop-y. Then, for the third part (Revenge of The Horde), I was told to "go nuts and rock like you usually do".
