This was a big one to get done on time, but boy is it worth it. It's honestly kind of crazy knowing it's been exactly 1 year since I uploaded the very first video to this Mastermind AU. At the time, it was just a "funny haha" concept, and now we are here with an entire plot. I don't think back then I could've imagined we'd get to this point, but I am glad we did regardless. Since with that it is kind of a 1st Year Anniversay (which feels weird to say), we're doing a huge story dump here. Buckle up.As you already knew, Kaede, Kirumi and Shuichi had a mystery club when they were younger. Kaede: troublemaker at school, bossy, pretty normal family, although being a bit too loose on herShuichi: came in the group later, lived with his uncleKirumi: mom of the group, had a home situation with parents who were incredibly strict on her academic performances and were at the end of the day emotionally neglectful. Kaede's troublesome tendencies didn't make her very popular with Kirumi's parents either.Eventually they got interested in Danganronpa. Or well, Kaede took interest. Their main objective was to figure out why the 15th season of Danganronpa got cancelled so suddenly. Many nights got spent at Shuichi's uncle's library as well as on the internet gaining any possible knowledge. One day, Kaede managed to figure out the coordinates of the abandoned building, so the group promises to meet up inside. Night falls, and after Kirumi arrives much too late, she and Kaede get into an argument. Out of nowhere, Kirumi states she doesn't want to play the mom of the group for once and asks to be the leader instead. Kaede snaps and lashes out to her. Telling her that "If you think you're so much better, then figure out what happened and don't come back until you do.", Kirumi flees further into the building, following her friend's command. Shuichi tries to sush the situation, but does not succeed. He and Kaede wait for Kirumi for a while, but eventually Kaede concludes she must've fled like a coward and they better head home. The fact that Kirumi's bike wasn't outside confirmed that suspicion to her. Kaede heads home, but Shuichi, not quite convinced, stays behind to look for her. That night, a huge storm passes over the land, and what happens then, you already know.Kaede regrets the next morning what she said to Kirumi, and decides to make amends. However, when neither Shuichi or Kirumi show up to their meeting place to bike to school, nor are in class, she gets concerned. After being called to the principal's office, she's faced with Kirumi and Shuichi's family who ask if she has seen their kids. Panic enters Kaede, and at the speed of light she leaves the premises to go to the abandoned building. However, there is nothing that can be done. The building is in shambles, and a desperate digging through the rubble only results in the finding of Kirumi's tamagotchi: Kaede's gift to her.A search is done for the two, and after a year they are pronounced dead. In that timeframe Kaede has become overwhelmed with a sense of guilt, survivor's guilt if you will. She becomes depressed and for the rest of her life has to live with the voice inside her head that tells her its her fault this happened. [ MMD Danganronpa V3] Build Our Machine Popelyu 2022-08-27 | Oh it's another big one peopleI genuienly did not plan on having such a big video this week lmao. Earlier this week I just made what is probably the final model I need for this mastermind au: the Monokuma Employee, a.k.a. Monokuma Man. He plays a crucial role in the story of Kirumi and Shuichi becoming masterminds, and also serves as a general representation of Team Danganronpa. So, of course I wanted to make a video to introduce him, but the only motions I could really get that fit him were very big. I decided to just start on this one and get a motion for Monokuma Man alone later. ... The latter never happened haha. I very surprisingly managed to finish this one well before today, so might as well use this to show him off.Anyway, this one is very story heavy and shows a lot of new stuff to the tale, so I will very shortly go over it. Team Danganronpa basically got into a bit of shit over the decades, as any company really does at times. What was especially hurtful for their image was that 2 children had presumably gone missing in an old Danganronpa game building of which the season was discontinued. So, of course a lot of talk went up about that, rather than their funny haha killing games. Meanwhile, Kirumi and Shuichi hadn't died or ran off, they were actually in the building all along, be it in a very unusual place nobody but old Danganronpa staff knew about. They remained stuck there for an incredibly long time to the point that when they finally found a way out, Shuichi's uncle had died in a car accident and Kirumi's parents had moved to Germany, leaving the both of them with no place to go. While running around town, the Monokuma Man recognized them all to well and followed them until deep in the night. Kirumi was succombing to the sickness she had gotten while underground, and so Shuichi started calling out for help for her. Monokuma Man, seeing an opportunity for what could be the greatest Danganronpa game ever, offered to help Shuichi.In order to save the only person Shuichi had, he hastily had to sign a contract determining the two of them to be property of Team Danganronpa. They would be groomed into one day becoming masterminds, and until they would win their own game, they could not leave. Skip about a decade, and the time has come for Shuichi and Kirumi to present their own game and naturally performing it as well. The personal goal for them: make Kaede suffer for leaving them behind.Phew, that was a bit of a story. I could honestly tell even more details, but that might be a bit much for this one upload. Would you believe me when I say I saved this project for the first time back in December 2020??? That's how old this is.What basically happened was that I had a very clear idea on what I wanted with the video, but at that moment I was still working with my old laptop and just generally didn't feel all that confident in my skills, so I never ended up going further than loading Kirumi, Shuichi and Kaede. For the subscriber special I wanted to do something big, without having to make my own motion. I found this project collecting dust and finally rounded it up. I am very happy with how this turned out, even if I had to slightly compensate on some scenery.So what's this about? An art project? I like it. Picasso. The song itself is in actuality a love song which, from what I can gather from Mezame-P's notes, is about lost love. Thinking you were facing it, even though you don't actually understand it only to then realize what you have lost. In this video, I kind of play around with the idea of Kirumi letting a potential beautiful friendship/relation she had with her classmates go for her duty, only realizing when it is already too late what she lost. Especially as in her final event with Shuichi, she clearly shows a liking and desire to spend her life with him as his maid. Over the course of the events, Shuichi became to mean the world to her, yet, she let it go.This can be seen as SaiTojo (also cause she literally says she loves him here lmao) but I also always liked the idea of Kirumi, Kaede and Shuichi as a friend group. That also makes it so Kirumi's betrayal in using her promise to Kaede against Shuichi in the trial extra harsh. Somehow my brain went "f it" and so this came to be in a couple of hours. So, listen up, this considers a headcanon I have on why Kirumi became the second killer. I always found it suspicious how everybody got the wrong motive video except Kirumi, which felt like foul play to me. I remembered how Tsumugi enters the mastermind room through the bathroom for the first death, and considering the door to that is in a closet full of cleaning supplies, it would make a lot of sense if the cleaning supplies are slightly moved each time Tsumugi uses it. Kirumi, being the only one who actually touches the cleaning supplies 'cause of her talent, would notice this difference and connect the dots to Tsumugi having gone to the bathroom when Rantaro died. I wouldn't say Kirumi knew that Tsumugi was the mastermind, but I do believe she knew something was up, and so Tsumugi purposefully set the second murder case up in such a way to get rid of Kirumi. She was coming too close, and her character was not interesting enough for tv to keep around. [ MMD Danganronpa V3] Surface Pressure [Animation WIP] Popelyu 2022-01-08 | Mild flash warning!! I forgot to turn off an effect for the non-background version which makes 2 frames of black pop in for a short timeAyo, I'm animating!! Encanto is honestly one of my favourite Disney movies atm, and Surface Pressure is just so good. It instantly reminded me of Kirumi, especially in some specific lines, and so my mind immediately went to a version she would be singing. I'm not super experienced in animating (you can probably tell which parts I had a lot of trouble with), but I want to give it a shot anyhow.Anyway, this is just a "blocking" stage, where I'm basically getting the main movements down along with the facial expressions, just to get a good idea of it all. Some movements need fixes, and the interpolation curve hasn't been used yet, which makes things very rough. Despite that, some parts actually look pretty smooth, go figure! Even if I don't end up doing the entire thing (which is very plausible), I can always clean up what I already have and make it a full thing with effects. Which also, this is what MMD looks like with no effects nor stages applied whatsoever! It's very barren, huh?Please do not reupload this or claim as your own.
