MicroKORG 2 - Probably your next synth? Accurate Beats 2024-10-09 | Korg just released the new Microkorg 2 that was announced a while back.I’ve had it for a few weeks and wanted to share my thoughts on it. This is not a detailed overview of all the stuff in there.I never understood why people loved the original microKORG but this one is so much better, easier to use and inspiring. The MicrKORG 2 is simply a great synth that offers A LOT of bang for the buck. It definitely hits above its price range in terms of functionality. It's not perfect (what's ever really perfect?...). I expected the build quality to be better but considering what you get for the money here - I think the MicroKORG 2 offers a great value. Is it your next synth? Who am I to say? I do think this one could become the new standard synth for pretty much any pro- or home studio.I'll gladly use it myself... MPC 3 (pre beta) - Sample based beatmaking! Accurate Beats 2024-08-18 | Time to put MPC 3 to work and make a beat on the MPC Key 37 on the upcoming firmware! I've had access to this version long enough to get familiar with it and use it efficiently at this point. A chopped up sample, some drums, a bass line, a rhodes piano, a recorded melody from the OP-1 and a bit of scratch became a pretty dope beat at the end! I also did a bit of arranging on the new arranger mode. Added a few variations here and there and the result is nothing to be ashamed for! The workflow is a bit different from what we got used to on MPC 2 but overall - I prefer this version myself! Keep in mind that the public beta version isn't even released yet so... I guess few things might change? Well... I'm @accuratebeats on IG. MPC STEMS for standalone (including audio examples) Accurate Beats 2024-07-11 | Yeah, that's right! MPC Stems is now available as a feature for standalone mode on the MPC's! Let's take a look at it and test it out on a few samples. This is not a 1 to 1 copy of the stem separation for the MPCsoftware on desktop and it doesn't use the same algorithm. It's way lighter on the processor which means that it's not as powerful as on the desktop software. BUT It works! - It does stem separation natively on the hardware MPC's! I'm pretty impressed by just that. I'll let you decide what to feel about the quality of it from my audio examples in the video. My two examples isn't really much to go by but hopefully it gives you some kind of idea on what to expect out of this. It honestly feels like we're living in the future. Fist: It's not cheap but in this category of audio interfaces, it pretty much defines the saying "a lot of bang for the buck". It's honestly one of the most competent audio interfaces I've every tried out. What more can I say? Akai APC64 - Not bad at all! Accurate Beats 2023-10-10 | Akai just dropped this one - the APC 64.This is a midi controller, dedicated to control Ableton Live. It's not a 1 to 1 comparison to Ableton own Push 3 unit but I can see a lot of people really loving the idea of this... The price makes this one accessible to more people and if all you really want is a new way to control Live - this unit is definitely a solid option. I'm getting more comfortable in Live myself and some of the workflows here are really great. Happy to get the opportunity to tell you guys about this one. And before you ask: No, this one will not replace any of my current devices or become my main instrument. Kontrol S Series MK3 from NI - My first look Accurate Beats 2023-09-12 | Native Instruments allowed me to take a look at the new Kontrol S61 keyboard they just announced. This is a brief overview of the product and some of my first thoughts on it. The software for this is still in beta but hopefully some of the stuff I say in this video holds up in the future too. Its' a really well integrated keyboard controller with next level software integration for both Native Instruments own products and support for third party software with NKS compatibility. I've used the previous version of this keyboard for years and this updated version seems to become the almost perfect update. Native Instruments are also bringing us NKS 2 that just makes everything surrounding hardware/ software integration a lot better. Serato Sample 2.0 stem separation - Better than expected! Accurate Beats 2023-09-06 | Tried this out in yesterdays live stream and I gotta say that I'm really impressed! Stem separation is definitely a huge thing for anyone who uses samples in their production. Having it as a plugin in your DAW kinda changes the game for real.

This beat making session almost went completely south but I managed to fix it just before finishing this video! Being creative is supposed to be a struggle sometimes and even though I worked on this track for five hours on my last live stream... I made a bunch of mistakes that needed to be addressed.However... Gamechanger audio wanted to know how I felt about them and even though it took me some time to dive into it, I gotta say that these effect pedals comes in really handy for multiple use cases... Not just for guitarists.Distortion and reverb can be used in so many different ways in a production environment. I prefer the more subtle settings on the Plasma pedal for some added saturation and tone and a the more creative, yet musical reverb settings on the Light pedal. Ableton Push 3 - My thoughts after a month of using it. Accurate Beats 2023-06-22 | I think it's time to share some of my thoughts and opinions on Ableton Push 3 after I've spent some more time with it. Like with anything else in life - some things are really great, others are not that great and everyone is always entitled to having their own opinion. This is NOT a review, just me going through some of my experiences and opinions on this new unit. Nothing more, nothing less. I know that we will get updates and new features added so this video might not age very well but it is what it is :DI think it's a great device for sure! It's definitely up there with the MPC's in terms of usability and functionality. I never got to talk about the sampling workflow in this video but there's honestly not much to say... It's super powerful and great to use for that sort of stuff - Just like the DAW version of Live. I turned my basement into a home studio! Accurate Beats 2023-03-23 | It's been a while and I've been busy getting my stuff together and setting up this new studio space in my new house.
