Adam Grise (AdamApple/kyoopihd)Here's a video I put together to show how to obtain the hidden stars in the game Braid. Collecting all the stars unlocks the hidden ending, which elaborates on the deep metaphorical story disguised by the Mario-like Princess-chasing scenario. 8 stars in 10 minutes - enjoy! My commentary is full of epic win because I'm awesome and totally know how to talk.
By the way, if you want to read more about Braid's deep plot and see what the story is really alluding to, I recommend checking out xg3's Plot Analysis document on the GameFAQs website:
A final note, this was played on the PC version. I'm not sure if there are differences. I started playing this game about 5 days ago so there's actually a lot I don't know. :)

Hope you enjoy, Tony & family. :)Super Metroid but all the transitions and fanfares are removed [NONSTOP ACTION]Adam Grise (AdamApple/kyoopihd)2020-12-23 | The fanfare that plays when you pick up an item in Super Metroid lasts a bit under 7 seconds. When watching a 100% run (which means picking up all 100 items), that's over 10 minutes of just listening to fanfare music. At first, this video was just going to be the with the item fanfares cut out, to see how much faster the run would "feel" when watching it.
But then, I realized the first several minutes of the video would be exactly the same as the original run, since there are no item pickups until the Morph Ball. I then decided to include door, elevator, and floor transitions as parts that would be cut - essentially, almost every case where the player loses control of Samus, with the exception of things like boss mechanics (e.g., Ridley grab, Mother Brain rainbow beam).
This here is the 100% Super Metroid video you watch if your parents or significant other tell you that you only have 30 minutes; I hope you enjoy it.
Please note: This is not my run. This is a tool-assisted speedrun (http://tasvideos.org for more details) completed by Sniq, originally published 2019.08.01. I'm not affiliated with Sniq or TASVideos in any way; this is nothing more than a fan project.
However, I am open to the idea of doing more of these [NONSTOP ACTION] videos; leave a comment if you have ideas for other games you think would be entertaining by having cutscenes or other content trimmed out!A Link to the Past Randomizer: First PlaythroughAdam Grise (AdamApple/kyoopihd)2017-10-11 | My first time playing the ALttP randomizer - I saw clips and snips of it before and wanted to get the full experience, so I read and watched the absolute minimum and just dove headfirst into it. Anyway, here you go. :)
I'm trying out Super Mario Paint by DC37/Rehdblob up on GitHub. It's new, it's exciting, it's Java. Rehdblob is actively working on it, so I figured I'd try it out and continue supporting his development of it since the other Mario Paint composers aren't as regularly maintained and updated. There is some gargling and distortion that takes place when using as many instruments that I have in many parts of the song, so I may try to rebuild this song in another composer.
Calm Before the Storm was one of a very few tracks I really liked in FFX - I'm more impressed with the music in earlier games of the series overall. But I've been wanting to arrange this tune for a while. Let me know what you think - I hope it's enjoyable!
I'm using a different method of capturing, too (trying out Open Broadcaster Software as a capture method for Mario Paint, which is usually used for game streaming/capturing). I may recapture this video, as some of the audio gets a little distorted during the louder parts, but I can't tell if it's just my crappy laptop speakers and/or the nature of so many sounds being used on each bar in this particular composer; it may not have anything to do with my recording.Chains of Fate (Extended) Diablo 3 Reaper of Souls OSTAdam Grise (AdamApple/kyoopihd)2015-10-27 | "Chains of Fate" by Derek Duke & Jason Hayes Reaper of Souls OST available for purchase on iTunes here: http://us.blizzard.com/en-us/games/music/diablo3-reaper-of-souls.html

This song, for some reason, was a blast to make. I have always loved the song, but this has some funky parts that are hard to hear and it made it a bit of a challenge. Listen and respond! This is my biggest work since my Tetris Medley; my progress on it spanned over a couple weeks, and I only worked on a bit at a time. I'm not sure how much clock time it actually took me to complete it, but I'd guess it was about 10-12 hours.
Blaster Master is an awesome NES game that has so much kick ass music I just decided to do all of it. Title screen to credits, but I didn't do the game over screen or boss music.
I do all my Mario Paint transcriptions by ear. I try as much as I can to use the original soundset to maintain the Mario Paint sound we all love so much.
Just a couple notes on the tunes from worlds 7 & 8; Mario Paint Composer has this issue with the tempo at higher speeds. As you raise the tempo, you'll go through a range of BPMs (from about 1400bpm to 1463bpm, for example; it happens at many different ranges, too) that will all play back at the same speed; then if you go up one more bpm (to 1464, in this case) there's a big increase in playback speed. The world 7 & 8 tunes turned into these incidents. 1463 is way slower than 1464, and the world 7 music is somewhere in between. It sounded dragged when it was slower, and I wanted to make sure to uphold the feel of the music, which is extremely upbeat - so I decided to go with the 1464.
With world 8, the tempo is 2858. I originally wanted to try to avoid any "dickspeed" songs, using super high tempos... The problem with world 8 music is that volume dynamics are *all* it has; it's a pretty boring song otherwise. I need the high speed to get instruments at different volumes because I can't fudge through it the way I did with other tunes, such as world 6.

This is the version of the song that is heard while playing Braid, during the final stage of the game. It sounds different because it's simply being played in reverse to further allude to the backward nature of events.Ninja Gaiden - The Ninja Dragon (Act 1-1) in Mario Paint ComposerAdam Grise (AdamApple/kyoopihd)2009-07-19 | A sudden inspiration... I bought this bad boy in November - that was my birthday and my lovely mother has the habit of just giving me some money since I never tell her what I want! :)
I note this in the video, but I'll mention it here - I bump up the speed of the recording (since it's particularly long), but I can't record the timer since both the timer and the camera are ON my computer. So, I understand that this isn't official - it's more for my own records and for friends and family. I included the time just for those who might be interested!
Edit: Changed the title to include the actual name of the cube, the V-Cube. This is my biggest Mario Paint Composer (MPC) project thus far, and it was fun. I tried to play the music in a style similarly to how you'd hear it in-game; if you've played the game at all, you may feel some nostalgia. =DCastlevania 2: Simons Quest Within These Castle Walls in Mario Paint ComposerAdam Grise (AdamApple/kyoopihd)2008-04-29 | Another one from Castlevania II; I had some fun making this one.

I decided to take a different approach rather than trying to use stuff like cars and flowers for my main instruments; I kept the same drum and bass lines as the original, but I modified the melody and backups a little bit as far as instrumentation and their relationship to each other. I hope you guys like it! =D
