jjreptileSuper mediocre run. It's always the run where I troll that we clear lol. I haven't done any form of speedrun stuff in a while, so this was fun!

#destiny2motw #motw10:48 Ultimatum Spire of the Watcher with NO Mountaintop/Swords/Skipsjjreptile2025-05-20 | Incredibly happy with this time. We decided to run this as a challenge on top of the speedrun challenge issued by the 5/15 TWID. It was super fun to optimize transitions with the no sword restriction.
#destiny2 #destiny2motw #motwDuo Master Crota In Depth Breakdown/Walkthroughjjreptile2024-09-17 | Audio is very quiet. Sorry about that. I'll make sure it's louder next time.
This is my first attempt at editing a video, and I wanted to start with something fun! My goal is to explain absolutely everything about this lowman. I hope this video helps any teams going for a clear.
*Update for Rite of the Nine: Perma strand surge and new sudden death with trench/one two punch makes the damage very easy for the remainder of this season. Ideally use sudden death with surges for the first two phases and ikelos for last phase (you need the reserves for final stand). Sudden death only works on titan because thread of ascent. I personally believe double titan is better because of this, but that is likely personal preference. Hunter titan is still plenty viable.
**Things I missed: 1. Navigator player should also use remaining frenzied blade charges and pop super during DPS if they miss their grapple. Then use scatter signal after their super ends to get their grapple back if there is still DPS time remaining. 2. At 40:16 there's a note on screen to add an audio clip about Crota not always desyncing. Clearly I forgot to do this lol. Sometimes Crota won't actually desync back to his starting location after a melee cancels his slam animation. I'm not exactly sure what causes either scenario to occur, but I think it depends on how much of Crota's melee animation plays before it is canceled. Just be ready to move for either possibility. 3. If there are no adds to proc synthoes when unstops are spawning, then move to the middle where chalice initially spawns and you will get synthoes from both unstops plus the swordbearer. 4. Navigator player, fusion rifle is not in your DPS loadout because we want navigator equipped when coming out of 3rd phase for final stand. Have fusion rifle right next to your main slot and you will switch to it manually. Alternatively, you can have fusion in your DPS loadout and have a different loadout for 3rd phase. 5. If running hunter titan, and hunter doesn't want to do first sword, then they can use the healing AR to keep them alive. Run perfect paradox and healing AR and switch to a chill clip (or seasonal unstop) weapon when unstops spawn. Thanks to Skater Boy for this as this was not something that I ever considered: @CK-vu2hj **This strat for hunter titan is definitely better than the one addressed in the video. 6. Crota CANNOT be staggered during final stand. This is VERY important, and it sucks that I forgot to mention it because it's the main thing that makes final stand difficult. The damage is mathematically easier than first and second phase, but your juggling has to be on point to keep both players are reasonable hp.
I might reupload with these corrections at some point when I'm not super busy, or I will include them in a full duo master crota's end guide if I ever have time to make that.
Shoutout my goat Titan Skate for letting me use footage of his POV: @TitanSkateD2
Loadouts (created in Episode Echoes): **Note: for the most part, these are still accurate, just swap the tractor player's kinetic weapon to a weapon with unstop from the current seasonal artifact, and add sudden death to the DPS loadouts. Might have to add another loadout for 3rd phase/final with ikelos instead.

A bow was used to shoot acolyte eyes because I don't think caster frames can hit them lol (I might just be bad), but all the DPS was done by swords and a few abilities (unfortunately I had to use a bow to kill final stand because I ran out of sword ammo). I used a total of 6 swords for this because I wanted to mix things up a little. This was a really fun challenge despite a few hiccups and skill issues here and there!

Only 2nd and 3rd encounter require different strats from 6 man, and they're not super difficult. Witness is definitely the most punishing as there are so many little things that can end a run, but everything else is pretty free. This was done on void/arc surge. Solar surge is nice but nowhere near mandatory.
GGs to @fuggleman2346 , @TitanSkateD2 , and @BiggzNA for running this. Their POVs (which all have discord audio lol) can be found on their channels.
Very depressing that discord audio didn't record. I checked beforehand to make sure it was capturing the right channel, and it still somehow got messed up. Ratio I guess.
Don't have to read: This is the most scuffed run we've had. I played terribly on bridge, our wizards refused to behave on Ir Yut, and our Crota final stand was horrible. We would not have cleared if oversoul had not been fixed, so thank god for that (although we had many practice runs that easily cleared pre patch). Super happy and relieved to be free from this raid. Huge ggs to @TitanSkateD2 for being the goat at grapple melee dps.
This took somewhere between 50 and 60 hours. I'm not entirely sure. Most time was spent practicing Crota. Probably 10ish hours spent doing actual attempts. Don't do this if you wanna keep your sanity. Thanks Aku for the thumbnail. It's awesome.

In all seriousness, this was a very good and fun challenge especially with the Lightfall master changes. I was quite dead inside since we had been running for 7 hours straight, and this was our last run before we called it quits until the next vow week. We love rotating master raids!!! Anyway, glad to have this done. Gonna see if duo flawless master Crota is possible, but otherwise that is all the low man master raids that matter done.
Discord audio gets a little wacky in a few places. I don't know why it does that, but it doesn't last long.
Not a word about the parasite.

It's pretty much a totems simulator until you get past it and hope you don't skill issue afterwards. This was our fourth run past totems. Much trolling was done our first three runs past totems, but we finally got it done. Overall a very fun challenge even though it is a little tiring. Trio master Warpriest damage is probably the most fun dps in the game.

I also had a cold at the time of recording this, so excuse my cough. I forgor to switch the discord audio channel in obs, so I'm talking to myself :) I threw super hard and let a knight eat a bomb. I thought it ate two, but it actually only ate one. This was a 13 bomb kill (2-4-3-4, excluding final stand) as opposed to the normal 14 bomb kill (2-4-4-4) when no throwing happens. Titan Skate's pulse nade got the final blow after the wipe mechanic lol
Overall a very fun challenge.

This took about 4 hrs minus gatekeepers practice. We definitely struggled the most with Templar because I suck at the game, and we had a couple skill issues on confluxes too. This was our first try past Templar since our gatekeepers and Atheon were super consistent. Sunbracer warlock definitely would have been better for everything before gatekeepers, but we stuck with what we already knew, and it worked out. I'm aware that the game volume is way too loud. I will sort that out for next time.
Huge credit to Yuuzou and BeeQuick for the gatekeeper strat. It was by far the most consistent and ammo efficient for us. BeeQuick's video can be found here: youtu.be/4Skh_Ejag60
