With the 2026 Custom Culture Blastoff theme set to Day of the Dead, this plate might just give away the full colour scheme… magenta metal flake and black with a sugar skull twist!
I’ll unbox the plate, talk through the design details, explain why show plates are perfect for custom bike builds and events, and how this fits into the strict £500 build budget rules.
If you’re into custom motorcycles, budget bike builds, show plates, number plate upgrades, or garage build series content — this one’s for you.

In this garage episode, I take a break from the AJS project to fix a persistent oil leak on my Suzuki Intruder caused by a faulty gear position (neutral) sensor. After sourcing a genuine Suzuki replacement part, I dive into battery removal, wiring tracing, and the unexpected challenge of accessing the starter motor cover—which means dealing with the cooling system too.
If you’re working on a Suzuki Intruder oil leak, replacing a neutral switch, diagnosing gear position sensor wiring, or tackling starter motor cover removal, this video walks you through the real-world process, frustrations included.
Expect:
Gear position/neutral switch replacement
Tracing complex wiring loom connections
Starter motor cover access challenges
Practical DIY motorcycle maintenance tips
Perfect for Suzuki Intruder owners, DIY motorcycle mechanics, and anyone preparing their bike for summer riding.

In this episode of the budget bike build, I tackle a frustrating issue with the AJS Regal Raptor 250 front forks. The fork stanchions are too far gone to polish, so the plan is to strip the forks down and send the stanchions off for re-chroming — all while staying within a strict £500 build budget for the Kustom Kulture Blastoff competition.
What should have been a straightforward strip-down quickly turns into a workshop battle, with a seized damper rod bolt refusing to budge. I drain the fork oil, remove the internal components, and troubleshoot why the bottom bolt won’t undo — without damaging anything.
If you’re working on motorcycle fork rebuilds, struggling with a stuck fork damper bolt, or restoring an AJS Regal Raptor / Chinese cruiser, this one’s for you.
Expect:
Fork disassembly step-by-step
Budget rebuild decisions
Common fork removal problems
Real-world garage troubleshooting
Got tips for removing a stubborn damper rod bolt? Drop them in the comments!

In this video, I tackle rust and corrosion on motorcycle fork stanchions and test whether Bar Keepers Friend really works or if it’s just another internet myth. Working in a freezing garage, I clean, scrub, and assess the results while discussing how rust, pitting, and corrosion can affect fork seals, suspension performance, and overall appearance.
You’ll see:
How rusty fork stanchions affect a motorcycle
A real-world test of Bar Keepers Friend on chrome forks
What it can and can’t fix when chrome is pitted
Honest thoughts on whether refinishing, rechroming, or riding as-is makes sense
If you’re restoring a bike, maintaining your motorcycle, or dealing with rusty forks, corroded stanchions, or leaking seals, this video will help you decide your next step.
