This is a passion project for fun I made due to my love of this game's OST. I have most of the popular stuff + the folder also has the SMT SNES instrument samples as a bonus. For now my main objective is to do the main tracks and maybe one day the whole OST if I can really find time. All tracks were learnt by ear by dissecting the tracks into individual parts using Izotope RX7 for increased accuracy.

Happy 2nd anniversary to Metroid Dread! I still love the soundtrack so much I was getting this video ready for the anniversary but couldn't do the visual portion until now but close enouuugh. This one I tried to go for more of an SNES hardware kind of sound which may or not be to your taste but was mainly how it ended up sounding from using a new SNES delay/reverb plugin I found (JBMSpacer or something like that?? old plugin) crunches the audio a bit but I like how it gave the old SNES hardware recording vibes. This track was very tricky to transcribe but I managed it!

🦇▶ Song Story◀🦇
“Hidden under moonlit dreams. Warmth of a thousand days. Beyond the ever turning ghost machine. Something sinister Something strange As the clock is still running Night will always fall Gouging the eyes out of the storm.”
A final confrontation on the eleventh day. A final countdown. Who runs against the tides? When the flowering melodies are scattered beyond the rain, I hope to be there. Congratulations, as one might say. It’s time to wake up. The cycle begins anew. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 11 entry n. I.
“Hazy dreams The weight of the world Melancholy waves I wave back. If we were here today, Would we still smile back As the fog engulfs it all”
A new beginning. A new end. Which one is it? Every step is heavier but I want to believe it’s what ties me down and keeps me being… me. I said I’d remember every word. I remember every second. This is all getting too personal, I ask you again, are you still here? The person that watches over me, are you still here? Please don’t give up. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 10 entry n. I.
“The storm approaches As it has many times before Observing the sinister chill Which encroaches one and all At memory’s end, A mile deep hollow, As the drowning sits in”
I no longer have much to say, I do not feel I can say much more. Everything feels like a gust of wind pushing me down, as if this wasn’t meant to be. Overcome by everything yet feeling as if this is the result of nothing. What was I even doing, where am I even going? All this is starting to feel trite… are you still here? - From the dreamer’s diary, day 9 entry n. I.
“Come on down Come on down The petals you’ve collected Some lost along with the sound Join the show Join the play Dance to this waltz I present to you, the clockwork dreamers.”
“Come see the fantastic new play by the Llyfrau Theatre Company! This new fancy playwright will not leave your mind for days!”. Words from a flyer I would regularly see around. Clockwork Dreamers it seemed to be called. I went to see it. A lively crowd, however I do not recall any faces or the looks of anyone involved. A splendid show, a dance into the unknown. The memory of it feels like something spinning around constantly in my head. Always returning to the start point. Strange… Anyhow, I need to move on.
“At journey’s end Grasping the light Alone on these meadows Gazing at the clouds Let me smile one last smile Amber”
The sunshine wraps around my fingers as I embrace this emptiness inside me… but things aren’t over. Maybe… ever so maybe, I can try and carve a path for myself. It doesn’t mean I’ll become comfortable with who I am. What’s inside me, the feelings that I bear, they’ll always be here to stay but I can live with what’s around me, enjoy what makes me… well, me. As one might say, the pieces are gone but that doesn’t stop you from trying out something new, right? It’s something I’d like to believe. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 7 entry n. II.
“A puppet on a string A shadow without an owner Always wrong Always right As your patience begins to fade Are you still with me? Marionette.”
I fear it’s time we’re over with this. Constantly walking around in circles around everything just trying to find a place I can feel I belong here. I’m no longer sure if I want to get away but it feels as if I don’t have a mind of my own. Every attempt to voice out my concern meets hostile eyes. I can’t feel myself anymore. Am I really the one that’s in control here? It’s time to cut the strings loose. It’s time to finally breathe. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 6 entry n. II.
“The storm approaches, Is that what I once said? How did I live Those days of yesterday Moving forward Ever to the unknown Visions.”
I remember every day. I always do. You could consider it a burden, it could be seen as a boon. I’m not sure I can keep track of it anymore myself. A memory that’s precious to me, is it disposable to someone else? Despite this, I keep idling by as every thought escapes my head as if being pulled out. I can’t tell which corner I turned yesterday but I know it was meaningful. I won’t forget the feelings, I won’t forget myself, the way I see myself, the way I see everyone here. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 5 entry n. I.
“Two-headed monster, Why have you come back to haunt me so Like you did so many nights ago Spectre of the past What business do you have with me today Do you still remember yesterday? Monster without a face.”
I tried getting away. I do not know if this is for the best or for the worst however, anything goes. I felt confronted with a creature that I can't describe. Not exactly a literal physical monster if you asked me, just... Something. The sensation conjures memories of long-gone forever afters. Perhaps what I face is the will of another. I do not know, I do not care to know. I don't plan to linger on for long. Haunt me no more. The monster without a face stands, owner of the ever-changing mask. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 4 entry n. I.
“Around the bend I followed my heart Worn down streets Indescribable desires Where life pulses Where hope may dwell A foul taste in the air Hidden alleyways”
I seemed to have settled into my surroundings. Or that’s what I’d like to tell myself. Everyone’s a lively, enthusiastic bunch. These streets want to be welcoming however something feels off… Shady personalities, probably good friends. The lingering smell of a good night’s meal. Everyone could be the star of the show, I don’t want it to be me, of course. A small band is playing, accordions… trumpets… they have the whole lot, mind you a small group they are. These lights feel so warm however nothing feels right. I should probably get out of here soon. I do not like the feel of this. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 1 entry n. II.
Dreams born in eternal sunset. A world that doesn’t feel to have an end, or even a beginning. What is it I keep seeing? Long across the distance I hear all the voices and once more I get pulled back to that place… waiting for time to run out. I wait my turn… I will wait my turn.
“Night falls As it always does, As it always will Oh how I yearn for the moonlight You who joins me every night On the eve of another starry sky I present the parade’s overture, Drenched in moonlight”
Restless I lay. How many times have I seen this same sky? The prelude to the same spiral I will walk down, or perhaps I am walking upwards. A full moon, it was the night of a full moon. The night I felt the stars slowly drift apart. I adore it so much, so calming yet so haunting. Two memories to grace my heart. It’s what I’d like to believe. The beginning of the end but also the light that guides me through. - From the dreamer’s diary, day 12 entry n. I.
Hey why not another one already while I'm in the groove and people seem to enjoying me getting back to these hahah. Wanted to throw another one in before I move house+release my original album (bear with me on that lol).
I had this one already have transcribed to regular MIDI before because I was going to upload it to VGmusic to help people make arrangements but never finished however it served as a good base to make this SNES remix! I've always loved the FAT bass during the B section of this piece with the main melody and think that came out well with the SNES samples too. While this track has always been more Fusion-esque, making it fit Super's sounds was fun too!

I initially wasn't going to do another one of these until i release my album of original music I'm planning however guess what? I got motivated. I couldn't shake of the feel of how this tracks is made for that Super Metroid sound.
This arrangement was very easy to translate to Super's style due to it being pretty much made in the same exact style Super's boss tracks are, which is fitting for Kraid. All the samples from the original "Boss Confrontation 2" track from SM were perfect for this one, you can really tell they took inspiration from the old games when you look at compositional choices like the chords, cadences and scales.
The barely audible bassline at 1:00 is very similar to how the bass in the last section of the loop in the Super Metroid theme is (0:15 in that one) very curious, plus I think both tracks are in the key of C# minor? Not the best at music theory but it's clear the composer wanted to make them similar.

Finally I got around to doing another of these! I had initially begun work on this right after my Ferenia one back in 2021 but I wasn't feeling too happy with it. Always wanted to come back to it but never got around. I absolutely love Dread's OST no matter what people say and I really like Ghavoran's melody (yes, the game has melodies). I wanted to give it that more Brinstar-like sound for this remix, which is fitting because jungle! I saw a comment saying they were still waiting for more & I got some motivation to finish this off. Enjoy!

This is part of my free MIDI project for Elden Ring. As usual I aim to grant people the tools to make their own arrangements for those who aren't as good with listening by ear or understand theory.
The main theme is more on the easier side to transcribe but some stuff was reaallyy buried behind that grandiose epic loud percussion. very fun to bring out that same feel with a midi kit. Enjoy!

This one was definitely a juggernaut to transcribe. I absolutely love Lichdragon Fortissax, both character and boss track. My love and passion really pushed me through, along with some help I managed to get this in that church organ was so hard to hear. Funnily enough for how epic this track is the percussion is pretty sparse. Enjoy the Fortissax MIDI!

Always loved how heroic this track is and is a very melodically charged one in a more conventional way compared to the rest of the soundtrack. Due to this it's on the easier side to transcribe however still very fun to do so. The second phase is the crazy one music wise I do plan to update this Godfrey MIDI with the second phase one day I promise.

Been getting back to playing Dark Cloud 2 thanks to my good friend who recommended the game to me last year reminding me about it and enjoying the music a lot! For the sake of curiousity I found the original PS2 sound files (.psf2) since this game uses MIDI and extracted the MIDIs + soundfont with VGMtrans so I was like hey why not put these orchestral plugin demos I have to use. Most stuff here is from Spitfire and Kontakt Factory Library. I found this track to be a fitting one for said test. Enjoy!

Took me quite a while to get another one of these out, since I've been suffering from diplacusis however it's been getting better. I really wanted to do Ferenia, you can instantly tell that it has the Super Metroid vibes, especially compared to tracks like Upper Norfair with those short atmospheric choir stabs. I did take a bit of freedom in the arrangement to make it sound more Super Metroid-esque too. This track was very hard to transcribe and what are the odds I probably got a some chords and notes not 100% right but they sound right to me right now so... Enjoy!
PS: Once I chose to not go for the 16KHz sample rate like I did with my SMT IV SNES remixes since most Super Metroid OST uploads on YT are in higher sample rates + the samples themselves are already kinda on the pretty compressed side compared to other SNES games.

As many can tell, the original arrangement is very reminiscent of Lower Norfair which makes sense for hot area type themes. I tried to replicate that feeling by making the percussion evoke that classic "metronome" type feel while still staying true to the original Cataris percussion.
I saw a comment on YouTube mention how it was like they were told to make Lower Norfair but still be something original and I feel they achieved that well which is what prompted me to make this to begin with. Enjoy!

Finally back with the track many many people asked me to do the last time I made one of these SMT SNES remixes! Tokyo from IV is one of my all time fav videogame tracks. After sharing my MIDI collection to the world in my last video what better thing to do than to drop one of these to go with it!
As last time, track rendered in 16KHz to mimic SNES hardware.

“I’ll see you here again. Once you’ve looped back from the start, the beginning may be further away than you thought but we’ll meet again someday.”
Beyond absolution. There’s no need to fear, we must accept ourselves. We need to understand that everything is a part of who we are. Stop haunting my friends, they said “I’ll give you what you want”.

A theme for a ghost. A tune for a soul. This is the main theme for entities that plague this place. Perhaps a message for everyone listening, for everyone seeing, for everyone here.

“Sometimes we bring ourselves to consider… should we just coexist with them? Is that even a viable option? We could but… something isn’t right.”
Back in the hub there’s a round map trying to illustrate the structure of the layers however it seems a bit too hard. So far we’ve got “L7_AMS” down. An arid, oppressive claustrophobic land. You can really feel you’re finally reaching… somewhere.

“The skies are solid, grey and indistinguishable. The tubular sensation I feel down my spine is throwing me off guard. I can’t make a clear image of what I’m supposed to be doing, holding on to a glimpse of that day, [...] ...which day?”
A continuation of Binary Fate. Representing thoughts being divided into “wrong” and “right” (black & white). Stress levels increasing, it’s becoming harder to survive when your mind is making everything feel so muddy.

“Why do we keep clashing at the summit of all that’s been achieved? The thralls of destiny are nothing but a thin circle line revolving on its own axis.”
Contradicting mindsets plague us all, what’s right? Divide. Are we destined to just repeat this cycle over and over again? Frustration.

“What are those things I’m seeing..? I’m not sure if I saw anything at all but there’s something there. I can’t grasp it’s form… the longer I take, the more it fades away.”
We long for that we can’t reach. We long for some form of nostalgia to consume us and see that life we desire to have. It’s a nice feeling. Pondering about it all but there’s some pain with it.

“Traveler’s respite. I feel I still remember those moments. Sigh… it was a nice feel after all.”
This world is submerged in a kind of dome comprised of floating water however we don’t know why. Sometimes you can find small spots to freely breathe and enjoy the breeze. Airing out any imperfections along the way. Not without a small hiccup here and there.

“Starting to get somewhere. I’m not sure I’ve figured out how this place is structured but I feel I may be getting the hang of it. Amidst the mire, we persevere”.
Here we’re just starting. Set out to try and do something about the current state. Showcasing how it’s like to live in this place while ascending the various layers. It can be pretty hectic with a need for emotional rest, amongst all the confusion there’s still time to rest and understand and get up again.

“Trying to weave ourselves through the cracks… The wavy sky feels so high, so dense. However I can see it, I can see our goal.”
Let yourself be introduced to this world. Experience a track that encompasses the vibe and feel of what everything’s like. People here are constantly hearing the noises from the so called “ghost machine” while just trying to live through what’s become of the world.

This is one I've been sitting on for ages. It's a track that originally had vocals that I had trouble mixing properly but I'm not sure. It's hard to talk about it. It's like this song I made when I just wanted to escape everything. I wanted that vibe of just being somewhere else completely.

Second song I made on stream in my personal friend server (not that old DSP one, it's just my friends). Pretty nice melody here but of course the standout is the vocals that was me just randomly singing over my instrumental when someone else on the call said they were going to eat dinner lol

On a personal friend server (not that old DSP one, it's just my friends) I did this stream for fun where I made a song. This is what came out of said stream! No the song isn't entirely KK Slider lol keep listening. Really fun times had a blast doing it. The cursed vocals are by my Kao, vocals by me.

This one was a piece I made when I wasn't feeling at my best. I guess it's a track pulled from my emotions at the time. Wasn't feeling well and I guess as a way to "vent" I made this track that initially was made as a backing track to just jjam along to but I added some stuff so it can be considered something proper. Nice chords though, congrats past Seb

This is a remix of a track made in beepbox by my friend Kao (@KhaoFish). For their birthday in 2020 I thought it was a super cool idea to do this cover of their composition! I don't have the original on me right now. I labelled it "original" since I did kinda change a bit of the structure plus it's their original and they let me upload this, you get it.
