Hi guys!! I wanted to give a little bit of a backstory on this song :)
I used to struggle with a lot of really dark thoughts if you kinda know what I mean and honestly sometimes they do come back a little from time to time but it's gotten a lot better. Coming from first gen immigrant parents we never really discussed mental health, I felt really alone especially because I've always had a hard time connecting with others. I think time is really relevant in the way that we are constantly evolving and changing as individuals and something I used to always brush aside was the saying of "It gets better with time" but now that I've experienced a little more of life I can honestly say it does even in a small way :D I wanted to write this song in case someone out there felt the same way I did or has ever struggled with needing someone to be there for you and having to be your own savior in the end. I might not be there physically but I hope you know I'm cheering you on in spirit and I'm so proud of how far you've come. I love you so much :)

p.s. this video was inspired by Clairo, using a macbook for footage was super cute for her video of pretty girl so i thought it would be fun to do something similar for my own song ^^

I always wanted to write a song for you, but like the perfectionist I am every single draft I wrote couldn't come close to fully capturing my love and devotion for you. It couldn't come close to capturing the perfect being that you were. I still think I could've written this one better, I wish you could hear it regardless. I remember how proud you were when I showed you "I Don't Care", the way you would spam links to everyone, shouting to the world how proud you were of your girlfriend. I was so lucky. I was so happy.
