Stig Helmerz - Sjömansjul På Hawaii

retrotor 2009-12-20 | From the legendary Christmas Special "Stig Helmerz Jul" with Lasse Åberg based upon his own character Stig Helmer. A version of Yngve Stoor's classic christmas single 'Sjömansjul På Hawaii' from 1945. The show was originally aired twice for christmas in the early 1990's on Swedish Television (SVT). No reruns, no video / dvd release of this material, no nothing after that. This is an extraction from a low quality vhs tape, worn from it's annual household use during christmas for about 15 years.

This is an hommage to the genius of Lasse Åberg, a multi-talented swedish artist and comedian. I hope that, in time, this show will be made available again, at least on television.

VESLEBLAKKEN

I en liten stue langt fra bygdens ståk og strid,
hørtes barnelek og latter når iblant du gikk forbi.
Men en dag brøt sorgen inn i gledens harmoni,
Veslegutten var blitt syk, og lå i feberfantasi.
Langt det var til doktor, kanskje livet snart var slutt.
Hjelpen måtte hentes for å redde veslegutt.
Ned i stallen stod en snill og trofast kamerat:
" Kjære Vesleblakken, du må ta den lange veien fatt".

Blakken drar avsted på livets aller lengste vei,
og han tenkter: " Jeg vil gjøre alt og bringe hjelp til deg".
Lyse minner dukker frem, han husker alle dem,
hver gang han med Veslegutt på rygg fra marken travet hjem.
Snart er de i bygden fremme, doktor hentes ned.
Tunge bakker ble for mye, men det gikk til slutt.
Tenk at slik han måtte hjem med hjelp til Veslegutt.

Blakken reddet livet for sin aller beste venn,
men av Blakkens eget liv var siste dagen runnet hen.
" Så takk da, Kjære Blakken, du min aller beste venn.
Aldri får jeg se deg, aldri klappe deg igjen
