Right in front of me was a sign warning me of a narrow, tight, twisty road and no large vehicles were allowed. So what did I do? I pushed in the clutch and slipped the gear shift into 1st gear and gave her a rip! And that road is a blast! I will enjoy that again the next time I find myself in the Bay Area. This will most likely be next summer on my way to Toyotafest again.

Why Your GR Corolla Strut Brace Size Matters JimsGarageToys 2025-06-19 | Why Your GR Corolla Strut Brace Size MattersTB Performance Products | Strut Brace Too Big? | GR CorollaI had recently installed the TB Performance Products Upper Front Strut Brace for the 2019-25 Toyota Corolla Hatchback and the 2023-25 GR Corolla. Everything bolts up just fine and fits great, until you install the engine cover on a GR Corolla. The standard Corolla hatchback doesn't come with an engine cover, and herein lies the problem. On the GR Corolla the large diameter of the bar rubs against the engine cover and rubs off the red paint. I contacted TBPP and informed them of the issue. They said they would come up with a solution and get back to me. While I waited I removed my engine cover. I also made several recommendations to them that would solve the problem. They sent me a new bar in no time that was 1.25" in diameter compared to the 1.5" one that I had installed. They assured me that the performance was still as good so here is the comparison. If ordering one for a GR Corolla, make sure to request the 1.25" diameter bar. The bottom line is that this bar works great and doesn't rub the engine cover so all has been good since installing.
