The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Soundtrack - A Story You Wont Believe (Gwent / Tavern)
updated
You need Twilight Aurora x7 for the following Freyja upgrades:
[Omniscience of Oracle] 2
[Divine Blessing Envoy] 2
[Energy Restoration II] 2
[Energy Restoration III] 2
For Freyja's stats, pick up all the INT and SKILL nodes.
Unit equipment:
- No Breeze on Cherie or Lucretia. This avoids buffing Kreuger's stats too much. You don't want to spend time rebuilding Freyja stacks due to bad RNG.
- Bone-Crusher's Hammer, Last Rites, and Charon on Cherie for best results. If you don't have the hammer, consider Demonslayer/Peacemaker/Frostrend. You want as many debuffs on Kertesz and Kreuger as possible. Charon is optimal but you could also use Jormangandr's Eye or Doomsday Herald.
- As much ATK on Bern as you can afford (no Balanced Blade, and boots are not necessary).
- Nebulous Robes on Lucretia and Light of Genesis to minimize Listell's damage reflection.
- Unique for Light of Genesis is better, again to avoid giving out extra buffs before Kreuger goes down.
You can reset the fight if Cherie does not trigger two debuffs on Kertesz. Then build stacks on Freyja. You want to try to one-shot Kertesz and Epsilon with critical hits using the buff from the right statue. Even if you do not one-shot, they should not be able to hurt you too much and you can finish them off on the following turn (Turn 2 for Kertesz and Turn 4 for Epsilon). You also have a lot of room with Clock of Forgiveness to fish for the crit against both Epsilon and Listell.
If Freyja does not crit against Listell, Light of Genesis may be able to finish her off afterward. If you have any problems finishing Listell off in general, Clock back and do not attack with Elwin. Just continue tanking/blocking with Cherie until Freyja returns. You should have plenty of extra turns to accomplish this.
My equipment casting:
- Both weapon slots for Light of Genesis and Lucretia
- No casting on Elwin, Cherie, or Bernhardt
There is no sound. It's just a spreadsheet walkthrough.

(I have since fixed the typo in Qiqi's talent, oops.)
In this video Liana is tanking Feraquea, and the rest is pretty straightforward.
You need a strong Jugler/Luna and good cavalry training to replicate the damage setups in this video. My Dieharte is 4 stars with no 3c, no unique, and no equipment mastery; his Unicorns do most of the work for him. The keys are:
- Kill the Shika mage on the first turn by disabling guard
- Bait Thousand Arrows on Turn 2 and Maneuver if possible (make sure it is guarded)
- Watch for Jugler's debuffs and make sure his guard is up as is necessary (I goofed on the second-to-last turn with Tiaris but it didn't matter in this case)
1. Prayer on Liana (so she can heal up Bozel)
2. Dark Reaper on Bozel instead of Black Hole
Make sure nobody has Breeze for this to be foolproof. If you don't want to redo any enchants, use a 2+2 red setup or something.
Imelda: May be replaced by any other single-target mage, but is ideal to support Leon on Turn 3. Equip Freeze Strike and Regrowth only.
Liana: Mage class. Equip Again only.
Zerida: Needs Ullr's Bow.
Leon: Equip Chivalry and two attack skills, as well as Winged Shin Guards if you have trouble surviving both Undead Knights on Turn 1.
Estelle: Does nothing except for her 3c.

Anyway, once you realize when you need to use Aether, the rest falls into place.
This method only uses the Summoner Support unit in combat, which means it will take 60 runs to get an S in Ally Support from scratch. That means if you are rebuilding Summoner Support for a unit (which requires only 40 battles instead of 80), you will hit S before any new Ally Support does. You can adjust as needed to feed kills to both Ally Support units and speed up the process.
You'll need to adjust this method slightly for a staff unit (who can't use Reposition).
This is an extremely easy way to farm Hero Merit from the Lunatic battle against Xander every Sunday, as long as you have your free Legendary Ike and are willing to Summoner Support him for this task. You can research other F2P farming methods to build up his support quickly.
Equip Radiant Aether and Warding Breath, give him Quick Riposte 1 (or equip the seal), put him in the first or third slot, unequip your other three characters, and auto-battle.
You can shorten the fight by a turn with either:
- Seal Atk/Def 2 in the B slot with Quick Riposte seal, or
- Atk Smoke 3 in the C slot or as a seal
Note that this is also doable with only A-rank support, but requires equipping Quick Riposte as a seal and Seal Atk/Def 2 in the B slot.
The goal is to clear the map with only the bare minimum of skills with my merge levels and natures. This is reflected in the SP totals of each character's equipped skills. By using a minimal skill set, one is able to account more robustly for variability in stats (again, through merges and/or natures) and supports in replicating the strategy. Furthermore, this encourages experimentation with different or less common skills in the future.
This team is highly F2P-friendly because Ike is free and the others are available at 3*/4*. My long-term goal is to +10 the other three.
Summary of the battle:
Turns 1 and 2
Soren kills the blue mage and gets repositioned back by Ike. Oscar kills the sword fighter and gets repositioned back by Titania, who takes a hit from the axe fighter and charges Iceberg.
Turn 3
Oscar kills the red mage. Titania kills the thief with Iceberg. Soren kills the axe fighter, allowing Ike to reposition Titania back to safety. Oscar takes a hit from the cleric.
Turn 4
Everyone retreats except for Ike, who baits the cleric.
Turn 5
Ike recovers his lost HP, which is important. He baits Julius while Oscar baits the second sword fighter and charges Dragon Fang.
Turn 6
Oscar takes out the bow fighter with Dragon Fang. Titania kills the green mage. Ike repositions Soren, who exchanges with the second blue mage. Note that the cleric would deal 7 damage to Ike, which is why he needed to recover his HP on the previous turn. Oscar takes a hit from the blue mage and survives due to his Resistance +1 seal.
Turns 7 and 8
With Iceberg charged, Soren can kill the lance knight with support from Ike. Titania eliminates the blue mage. She takes a hit from the cleric with everyone else out of range, then mops up on the next turn.
Note that the standard Warding Breath + Radiant Aether is perfectly fine on Ike, but costs more SP than Warding Stance 2 + Renewal 1, which effectively does the same thing.

Summary of the battle:
Turn 1
Ike kills the axe flier and bow fighter with Spur Atk help from Soren.
Turn 2
Titania and Oscar eliminate the lance cavalier and red mage, respectively. Soren moves down and Ike moves up.
Turn 3
Soren kills Valter. Oscar draws fire from the lance flier and knight to charge Dragon Fang. Ike fights both fliers at the top of the map.
Turn 4
Oscar one-shots the new sword cavalier. Soren and Titania kill the lance flier. Ike kills the final two fliers.
Turn 5
Ike warps down to take out the axe cavalier. Oscar kills the red cavalier and survives another hit from the knight.
Turn 6
Oscar flanks to kill the knight, enabling Ike to warp to a spot where he baits the last enemy.
This is a quick demonstration video to show how strong Ares's Blazing build is. My unmerged version is +Atk/-Def, going against a full 5*+10 Fire-blessed team in Arena Assault.
Dark Mystleteinn
Assist (Reposition recommended)
Blazing special of your choice
Brazen Atk/Def 3
Swordbreaker 3 (to bait Ayra, Zelgius, or any lesser swords)
Savage Blow 3 (splash damage)
Hardy Bearing 3 (to bypass Vantage)
Support him with Hone Cavalry and maybe a dancer, and he can easily take down entire teams by himself. This won't work on every map (avoid defensive tiles) but he is a monster on a budget assault squad.
