Grass Snake Found near Cat Ian Phillips 2024-05-24 | On this occasion, a cat was stopped from catching a Grass Snake, but already this year we’ve seen several birds and small mammals killed and attacked by cats (and dogs) on the marshes. Common shrew, House sparrows, Moorhen, Mallard, Egyptian Geese and a Jack Snipe have all been victims.

The 'bite' was not at all aggressive, they will sometimes 'nibble' my hands, it doesn't hurt. They don't interact with people outside my family and won't let anyone other than me touch them. I can touch them but I don't, I do feed them occasionally but not enough for them to be dependant on me, these are wild animals not pets.
