Bakersfield Bridgeport Collecting Boss Karts Trash master Lucas 2022-05-30 | Unlike most neighborhoods of Bakersfield that almost exclusively use Toter carts for recycling, the city chose to demo Boss-Karts in this absolutely gross and disgusting neighborhood. There are also a lot of Otto Edges and M-Series Schaefers which are quite uncommon in Bakersfield too. Add in the 3rd generation Rotos and older Rehrigs, and this neighborhood is easily the most diverse in terms of carts in the city.

We ran into this truck in some alley by total surprise. Wouldn’t be surprised if it’s a spare cause of how slow it ran. Was really hoping to get some video on open streets but unfortunately alleys Is all the driver had left before finishing route for the day.

Mid Valley Disposal Heil STARR Trash master Lucas 2021-09-15 | Here is Mid Valley's STARR running as a spare. After one failed attempt to film this on a day that it wasn't running, we went back about a month later to find it running when one of the other trucks broke down. This truck has seen better days as it can barely finish the route with how slow it is and the autopack doesn't work so he has to manually pack every couple of cans. thanks to the driver as always.

Burrtec got this ex LA Condor Amrep not too long ago and I happened to get pretty lucky and get a video of it sooner that I thought I would. Made it so much more video worthy the way the driver was running the truck, better than any LA driver would run it that’s for sure! Thanks to the driver for letting me film!
Howard’s Garbage Service Old Volvo Bridgeport HGS 374 Trash master Lucas 2021-06-30 | Before any NorCal kiddos get carried away saying there are no videos of Howard’s let me stop you right there, here is Howard’s oldest side loader, a 2001 Volvo Bridgeport running as a spare early one Tuesday morning. I tried finding this truck a few times when it wasn’t running but then later found it when their autocar Bridgeport was down. I got lucky to get one of the best operators driving, revving well and even using the old school "shake" function only found in elbow arm Bridgeports lifting the can directly up in the hopper. This video was filmed about 2 months ago filmed from 6 - 7 in the morning. Without more being said enjoy this lengthy video of Howard’s Volvo Bridgeport!
CR&R Diesel Peterbilt Amrep 57380 Trash master Lucas 2021-06-20 | Here’s one of the good sounding EX LA amreps on a recycling route in Wildomar. Not sure how much longer these trucks have left but I’m enjoying them still being around! This is arguably the best one in my opinion, the driver runs it better than some of the other drivers and I think this one sounds the best.

Old Amrep Hardox Front Loader on a New Mack LR Trash master Lucas 2021-06-05 | A few months ago some of us went up north to check out some yards on a Saturday, and we also wanted to quickly look through Wheeler Ridge because it gets collected on Saturdays. I had a good feeling this truck was going to be doing the route as it's one of their newest trucks and they only run 2 front loaders on Saturday. Upon arrival to the base of Grapevine I spotted this truck off the freeway. Immediately we got off at the next exit to get some video. After talking to the driver for a little we followed him throughout Wheeler Ridge for a while, until he headed to Bakersfield to finish the route which was a handful of schools. Huge thanks to the friendly driver for letting us film and being so cool!

I was lucky enough to catch it as a spare on Recycling on a Tuesday morning a few months ago! This truck definitely isn’t the fastest but gets the job done haha, recycling isn’t its Preferred load either cause of the paddle packer. Huge thanks to the driver for letting me film!
Diesel 320 Octo ASL - 838 Trash master Lucas 2021-04-02 | Here is one of the valley trucks revving hard on the Thursday route, filmed about a year ago. EDCO Volvo Rapid Rail 61 - Cart Lines Trash master Lucas 2021-03-30 | A little while ago I stumbled across this condo complex in poway where the carts are set out in long lines. I thought it would be a fun and easy route to film but just assumed it was a ZR so never really bothered. Later on I found out from one of the manual greens drivers that truck 61 does the route, knowing 61 was a repainted Escondido rapid rail I knew I had to get a video. Huge thanks goes to the cool driver!
