In 1991, while loaded with 144,000 tonnes of crude oil, the ship suffered an explosion and broke in two and sank after burning for three days. Exploring of Slovak Opal Mine Seacraft 2022-11-22 | Although the history of exploring Slovak Opal Mines 🇸🇰 dates back to the 70ties, many tunnels and shafts remain undiscovered. The character of the mine ⚒ and the deposits of excavated ore make some corridors impossible to penetrate without excessive cleaning work. As the main shaft, Jozef has cleaned down to horizon -50 and -65 new opportunities for exploration arose. Martin Strmiska and his team using the Seacraft scooters could fulfil their ambitions not only for exploration but also for filming the spaces nobody had been to for more than 150 years. A compassionate environment with limonite decorations hanging down from the ceiling makes both moving through and filming difficult.
