I'm not so hopeful but let's start to upload some fresh content then time will tell ;DRecently I went to explore the new indoor layout of Mokart, the rental kart brand created by Gianpiero Moretti, founder of automotive's accessories and parts company MOMO, at the end of 1999 in order to spread the passion of motorsport among the public.For more than 20 years the original track was located in Cinisello Balsamo (a couple of kilometers South of Monza and about 10 km North of Milan). A second indoor track was built in 2006 near Como and which a few years ago changed its name in Kart&Go. At the beginning of 2022 the historic track of Cinisello stopped its activity to move to a new location in Ossona, West of Milan. Inaugurated at the end of November, the track now winds inside a much larger building than the previous one and of course its layout is entirely new, featuring various U-Turns, a couple of fast corners and an outdoor part which will be quite challenging in the event of rain. OnBoard Laps of Magione in a rental Mazda Miata MX-5 (NBFL) by D1R Performance 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2022-02-03 | Final two laps of a 15 min session I did in a rental MX-5 a couple of weeks ago. First time in Magione. A lot of work must be done to improve my lap times starting with being more daring when braking. It was also my first time with semi-slick tyres so I definitely need to get more confidence on their grip feeling (and limit). Last but not least, next time I need to be more polite with the gear lever: I was applying too much force on it that I wasn't able to insert the fifth gear practically on every lap (that's why I avoided it on the first lap you see in this video, but then I realized the 4th gear was too short for the long straight).Due to my young age, I got to know Magione mainly from racing games such as GTR2, rFactor and Assetto Corsa and in more than 15 years of sim racing I've accumulated a huge number of virtual laps around Magione. If I'm not mistaken, my praise for Assetto Corsa began right on this track since it was the only one available in the official demo of the game at the time. I'm an absolute rookie in terms of actual real-life track experience, not owning any car for that purpose. If it wasn't for sporadic opportunities where I was able to rent a vehicle for some laps around the Nürburgring and a couple of sessions with a Legend Car here in Italy I could shamelessly say I've never driven a car on a race track. In fact my main issues are mainly fears: fear of braking too late, fear of going off-track, fear of ruining a car that isn't mine. But I'm sure you simply forget about everything I have listed just by spending more time with the car and accumulating track experience in real life.It was really amazing to discover there was a chance to rent this Miata around Magione. It vaguely reminded me of the beautiful atmosphere of the Nürburgring and tourist drives. But now let's talk about the car. This Mazda MX-5 is an interesting project car by D1R Performance (Drag1Racing Performance), a company located not far from Magione. It's a second generation (NB), restyling (FL) MX-5 powered by a 1.6-litre, 4 cylinder engine with 110hp. At the beginning it was a fully stock car which was immediately brought to Magione circuit in order to check what times it was able to do. The owner managed a 1'39''9. After this result the next goal was to reduce that lap time by 10 seconds without increase engine power. He started a long yet focused work of replacement of all those elements and components that could have improved the car for track-use: Ohlins Road & Track suspensions, lightened flywheel, EBC brakes and Nankang semislick tyres. As mentioned before almost everything related to the engine has remained fully stock with both original intake and exhaust (that's why even onboard you can barely hear it). The only further change he did was replacing the original 5-speed gearbox with the 6-speed one of the 1.8-litre NB.With some setup adjustments, the best time he managed to do was almost 9 seconds better than the stock car. The next step to gain those remaining seconds will be a slight weight reduction and the addition of a TorSen differential.I was only able to set some 1'36''6 - 1'37'' laps but you can see how much it's possible to improve that time and reach the low 1'31''. I must say I was really impressed with its behavior. BMW M3 E30 Audio Test w/ In-Engine & Exhaust Mics at Adria Raceway 2021 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2021-12-04 | Since the very first time I saw this exact BMW M3 E30 during a WRCTeam event here in Italy I hoped to be able to make some proper audio recordings one day, focusing especially on the wonderful intake sound that this car produces.Last October I managed to have my (first) opportunity but unfortunately it didn't quite go as planned. Or better: the audio recordings side is definitely accettable (yet still improvable) but due to a technical problem the owner of the E30 had to stop after just 15 mins and he wasn't able to continue the track day. For this reason I didn't manage to get neither any of my usual external footage nor a proper cockpit view and this is why I decided to upload the good, yet incomplete footage here on my second channel rather than the main one. I'm pretty confident a second occasion will come in the future!The car you hear in this video was born as a road-legal M3 E30 and it was modified over the years to make it as closer as possible to a Group-A E30 featuring a very track-focused setup, a reduction in the total weight, modified exhaust and the mandatory carbon airbox. I'm not 100% sure but the engine should have tons of other mods starting with and increased displacement of 2.5-litre (from the original 2.3-litre), cams and pistons.The video you're watching up here is the result of two GoPros I placed on the front and rear bumper (this last one should have been pointing directly on exhaust but due to some initial lack of time in adjusting the GoPro's mount I provisionally placed it in that way and I would have changed it for the following stint), plus a microphone inside the engine bay. I divided the video in chapters where you can hear the sound of the engine merged with the exhaust one or where you can appreciate both the engine and the exhaust audio alone. Yes, I've already told him to try and change some settings for his next races (higher fps) and especially to always clean the protective lenses before each runs hehe.Anyway, forgetting about the quality, enjoy Marco attacking the fast course of the Bologna-Raticosa hillclimb during his first (out of two) race heat, with a time of 2'56''.77!(I noticed 360° videos are more optimized for smartphones and VRs than on pc/laptop, so consider them if you want to enjoy the clip at its best)The Bologna-Raticosa is a famous Italian hillclimb, held for the first time in 1950 on a course of around 42 km from Bologna to the Raticosa Pass. The last 'historic' edition was held in 1969 on a course that was 10km shorter than the original one. In 2001 historic cars were able to race again on this course thanks to Scuderia Bologna Squadra Corse but 'only' on a 6.2 kilometer course that winds between the villages of Pianoro Vecchio and Livergnano. The race is valid for the Campionato Italiano di Velocità in Salita per Auto Storiche (Italian Hillclimb Championship for Historic Cars) but during these new 'modern' editions the organizers also allow a small group of more recent race cars to attack the hillclimb course but without affecting the historic championship standings (like the Radical in this video).I've already shared with you a few videos about this lightweight weapon on my main channel. Painted to recall the JPS colours, this particular Radical is a 1100 Clubsport that was upgraded with the aero kit coming from the Radical Prosport model, such as rear wing, diffuser and front flaps. The Radical 1100 Clubsport was the company's first car, built from 1997 to 1999. It was a small open-cockpit chassis powered by Kawasaki ZZR1100 engine, featuring a max power of 145hp (120hp at rear wheels), for a total weight of only 420kg. It was mostly raced in the UK in a one-make series based around the car. First Time Driving on Track in Wet Conditions w/ a Power Restricted Legend Car 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2020-12-29 | The 'old-man driver' is back in business for another boring and slow driving video. Jokes aside, I thought my 'water baptism' would have been worse but I went home quite satisfied of myself. If you remember I've already done a couple of 10-laps sessions with one of these rental Legend Cars in February, experiencing how fast and angry they are without any kind of restrictions. So just in time for Christmas I wanted to have another go and try to improve my skills and feeling with them. The only thing I haven't considered was the weather... For this experience I went to Castelletto Circuit, a little race track in the North of Italy, which is the Italian headquarters of Legend Cars, little machines born in 1992 in the USA as a low budget series taking a cue from the motorcycle-engined dwarf cars, being manufactured in those years. Until a few years ago all the Legend Cars were powered by a Yamaha FJ1250 4-cylinder engine able to produce around 140hp at 10,500 rpm. In 2018 US Legends Cars International, the company which builds all the Legends, announced a new water cooled, fuel injected engine for their cars, taken from the Yamaha MT-09 (or Yamaha FZ09 in North America) naked motorcycle. This is a 850 cc 4-stroke 12-valve DOHC inline-3 with crossplane crankshaft which weighs 30 kgs less than the previous inline-4 and it's still able to produce the same amount of power with a few mods. The gearbox is the 6-speed sequential of the MT-09. The total weight of the car is around 550 kgs with the driver.Rental prices for a 10 laps session in Castelletto are:– 100€ if you choose the de-powered version (called ‘Stock’)– 150€ if you go for the full power one (called ‘Race’)To obtain the power restricted 'Stock' version a simple bolt is screwed on the throttle pedal in order to reduce its range of motion (the bolt makes the throttle to hit the floor way before its actual 100%, leading you to think you're pressing it at 100% but you're actually at 60-70%). In addition to the very short throttle's travel (just 1.5 cm, which makes it like a 'on/off' button), you can clearly feel the difference while driving because the engine wants you to shift at around 8,000 rpm instead of the 10,500 of which it's capable. I tried to rev it higher at 1:46, in order to keep the pace of the other cream/red Legend Car which was in 'Race' version, but it was really struggling after the 8,500 to increase its revs.Back to the actual day, I had booked a session with a full power version but as soon as I exited from the paddock I realized the car was restricted. After that acceleration on the main straight at 1:46 I was slightly disappointed about that, but at the same time I wasn't feeling very confident of myself given track's slippery conditions so I decided to go on with my session instead of stopping immediately in the paddock to have the bolt removed. To be honest I was kinda scared, having already too many things to think about (trying to understand the limit of the car, where I could push, which were the most slippery corners, avoid understeer and going into the gravel), so probably that further extra of managing the power out of corners it would have made me even more confused. Lamborghini SC20 Shakedown at Monza (October 2020): Acceleration, Downshifts, Crackles & Sound 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2020-12-16 | Just unveiled today, the Lamborghini SC20 is the second one-off engineered by the motorsport department, Squadra Corse, and designed by Centro Stile in Sant’Agata Bolognese following the customer’s wishes. It comes in the form of an open-cockpit, barchetta car featuring a mixture of elements, details and solutions taken from Lamborghini's past and present supercars (Diablo VT, Veneno Roadster and Sián), concepts (Aventador J) and race cars (Huracan GT3 and Essenza SCV12). The engine is the production 6.5-liter V12 engine delivering 770 hp and 720 Nm of torque, linked to a optimized seven-speed Independent Shifting Rod (ISR) gearbox. The power is discharged to the ground by the four-wheel drive system with central electronic differential.Back in October, when Squadra Corse kindly invited me to their Essenza SCV12 development test at Monza Circuit, Lamborghini's guys informed me of the presence of another car which would have done just a couple of laps during the day, because it was still under development. I was allowed to record it but for obvious reasons I couldn't upload it immediately. Now that I received their 'green light', I put together this brief video in which all those few laps that the car made in a matter of minutes are contained. Then it was immediately loaded inside the truck that had brought it to the venue. Honestly it wasn't much to my liking seeing it with the typical camo wrap that hides details and shapes, but the final result isn't bad at all. [iRacing] Dallara iR-01 V10 Formula Car at Suzuka Circuit: Triple Screen POV Test & Soundcheck 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2020-12-15 | Last week iRacing released what is probably the first fictional car of the game, developed in direct collaboration with Dallara, the famous Italian race cars and chassis manufacturer. It's called iR-01 and it's basically a futuristic formula car, containing elements of grand prix racing’s past: no driving aids (traction control, ABS), no DRS, a naturally aspirated, 3.0-liter V10 screaming up to 20,000 rpm, 900hp and a dry weight of just 600kg. On the modern side the things that stands out most are certainly the 18'' wheels and the presence of those little virtual mirrors. It's pretty curious they didn't went for the Halo but just for that thin aeroscreen. Here you can check the official development and unveil video: youtube.com/watch?v=YNBDVQDtJbgRegarding my uploaded video at first I didn't mean to edit and upload it, since my plan in recording the POV gameplay and the external sound scenes was (and still is) to produce a big comparison with most of the V10 formula cars from other games (Assetto Corsa, Automobilista and RaceRoom). But then I had some fun setting the cameras around the track and recording those external clips, plus the 'cinematic' ones for the intro trailer, that I thought it was ok to produce and upload it. Of course the comparison is coming too. From my amateur, sim player, point of view the concept is phenomenal and I can't hide how much I'd love something like this to happen in the future of Formula 1, but we all know the sad reality.. Anyway the iR-01 looks fantastic even with my extravagant paint scheme I used for RallyCross cars back in 2019. Regarding the sound, it's not bad at all for sure but I think some of the others racing games I mentioned before did a better job in replicating it, especially for the external scenes. Always speaking from my side as a casual player, the car feel quite easy to drive even with the 'suzuka preset' setup (I only changed the final gear ratio if I remember correctly) but being out of iRacing for a while now, I forgot how their tyres model behaves and that they must be warmed up for at least two laps. Plus the fact that to do good lap times on this game you have very precise, clean and avoid using the throttle, leaving the car 'flow' by itself, especially in those initial 'S'. Upshifts should have been done at around 19,000 rpm and not at 20,000 as I did here. The only thing that didn't make me appreciate the iR-01 is its behaviour in very fast corners, such as 200R (turn 12, after the tight left hairpin) and the famous 130R (turn 15, the fast left-hander before the last chicane) where the car feels like is levitating on the asphalt, like there's no downforce or something is stalling aerodinamically. And this feels really weird on the steering. Don't know if this issue can be fixed just by changing something in the car's setup or it's more a problem of the actual model. Yes, after almost 12 years of intense use and abuse of my trusted Logitech G25 clamped to my desk, I finally decided to spend some money and time to do the upgrade I hoped for a few years now (maybe in the next video I'll do a very quick tour of the final build, with room lights on).At first, I wasn't going to upload this video while I was recording it, because my intent was just to see how a POV video (GoPro on my head) would have looked like with the triple monitors and if it could be suitable for the next gameplay videos. Being positively impressed, I then decided to upload it in order to get some feedback or hints from you. Things I know I have to 'fix' and improve for next videos are:- Illuminate the wheel, without lightening too much the wall I have in front;- Recording the audio directly from the game/PC and not from the speakers.- Left side mirror that doesn't work (with any car on Assetto Corsa)- Solve the 'flexing' of the steering wheel base.. I think it's due to the ClubSport Wheel Base 20°mounting socket and not to the actual RSeat RS1 wheel mountThe distorsion you see between the screens is heavily accentuated by the GoPro placed 10-12 cm higher than my eyes.Talking about the gameplay, I was using a mod of a RB26-powered Nissan Silvia S15 I downloaded long time ago at two different Japanese tracks: Motorland SP and Meihan Sportsland. Well, if you're a bit into drifting the last one shouldn't need any introduction, famous for its wall and the very close drift entries. The second one is one of the original track in Assetto Corsa. It's known in the game just as 'Drift' and I'm pretty sure this led many player to think it's a fictional drift playground where you can enjoy and 'improvise' different layouts, some of them very useful to learn the style of the various drifting championship around the World. Insted this is a real Japanese track, called Motorland SP, located in the Amori Prefecture in the North of the Country. What I was doing there was improving my confidence with the triple screen setup, head movements and trying to improve my in-game sense of distance that was missing with the single monitor. 15 Minutes Go-Kart race at Kart & Go Como w/ Sodi SR4 4-strokes 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2020-06-18 | My first rental kart race after the lockdown. I really needed to have some fun.. The format of the race was 10 minutes of qualifying followed by 15 minutes of race. My three friends ahead were 3-4 tenths quicker than me, but from start to finish I had a very enjoyable and close battle with my friends who qualified in 4th and 6th position. We were all on the same pace but they were very quick on the fast part of the track while I was able to reduce or increase the gap from them thanks to late-braking and being a bit faster in the two slow chicanes (that's why I crashed and repeatedly touched my friend in front in that slow points). The race was held at a indoor kart structure, called Kart & Go, which is located near the city of Como in Italy. A lovely feature of this venue is that the track can be modified into 6 different layouts, called with names that refer to tracks of the F1 World Championship. They generally change the configuration once a month, so you never get tired of driving there during the year. The only corners you'll always find unchanged with each layout are the last one (right-U turn before the start/finish line) and the fast left-right at 0:34. [Assetto Corsa] 20-laps Group C Sprint Race at Kyalami Historic w/ Porsche 962C Long Tail 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2020-05-22 | I tried to set up a fictional 20-laps race with 18 Group C cars at the marvellous Kyalami Circuit in South Africa. I said 'fictional' not only because it was made on a game but mainly because Kyalami had this clockwise layout until 1988 in which some of the cars you see I chose to the compose the grid didn't exist yet, in particular the 787B and the Nissan R91CP. To be picky the last race held with Group C cars (1988 Kyalami 500 Kilometres) was a mixture of Porsche 962Cs and other C2 cars. But anyway I went for the variety. Before doing this gameplay recording I had to do some tests since half of the cars (and the track too) you see here come from third party add-ons so they may have some 'issues' when played by AI or be too slow of fast compared to the others. For example the Lancia LC2s have a too low default fuel level, which forced them to pit twice over entire 20-laps race (at 6:25, that's a re-spawned LC2. After a crash or if AI remains stuck in the sand, they are sent back to the pits and they can join again the race). To avoid that I had to come to a compromise and remove the fuel consumption for all the cars, but I left the 1x tire wear.Another problem was on the Sauber C9. Pretty strange since it's an official car of the game... But no, I don't like to self-harm. I just chose this combination (the second longest Dirt Rally 2.0 stage plus the Ford Sierra RS Cosworth) because I had to train to complete a scenario of the Colin McRae: FLAT OUT Pack featuring the same stage and car with 100% AI difficulty. [Assetto Corsa] 1200hp Toyota Supra Mk4 at Mugello Circuit + External Replay 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2020-05-10 | A few laps of Mugello Circuit trying to tame this 1200hp Supra Mk4 with a pretty nice sound mod, especially for the external view (you can find the link to the mod below here).Talking about the car, it's basically a boat on four wheels, always floating on the asphalt in search of both front and rear grip. Well, I drove it with the 'stock' setup, so it could be that it handles a bit better with different parameters (I would focus on reducing understeer) but for sure it'll always have that dancing rear under acceleration due to the immense power. Be careful with the brakes because the harder you hit them the more the Supra wobbles.Of the 5 laps I did, the first 3 are those where I tried to drive as clean as possible in order to set a good lap time, while the last 2 are basically non-sense ones, using lower gears in corners, hitting the throttle too early and doing wrong trajectories... In short, the laps you can do only in video games without being afraid of broke the car or get hurt in an accident. Since I really like the external sound, I also recorded some scenes taken from the replay, trying to reproduce the positions where I usually film/take pictures when I'm at Mugello Circuit during race weekends, and of course edited them together to make a complete external lap. [Assetto Corsa] Js Racing Honda S2000 Touristenfahrten Laps with AI Traffic Mod! 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2020-05-04 | A couple of tourist laps around the Nordschleife in J's Racing Honda S2000 'Touge Maou' with AI-controlled traffic. I tried to respect the 'overtake only on the left' rule but that DHL Transit instigated me... The procedure to install it's very clear and well explained in the link I provide you. What you may found a bit wearying is to set the right traffic parameters (AI behaviour, number of cars, how often you bump into another car) for your needs. Remember that AI isn't that 'smart', it's just managing the cars to follow a certain, precise path lap after lap, so don't expect it to make way for you because you're faster. As soon as the front of your car is beyond the rear of the AI car, then he starts to give you space.- J's Racing Honda S2000 'Touge Maou' spec (check the video description at this link): youtube.com/watch?v=UWnlr42kBDcA really great mod in my opinion and highly recommended. The more you play it, the more you will appreciate it! In real life, this S2000 AP1 is a creation of Japanese tuner J's Racing and it has been built in order to be competitive on hillclimb courses (Tōge). The original F20C engine has been stroked out to 2.7-liters of displacement and fitted with the full J’s Racing catalog (Intake, ECU, tail pipe, etc.). Now it's able to produce around 340 hp at 7,800 rpms and a great torque curve with a peak of 350Nm. Due to this numbers the rev limiter has been set not much over 8,000 rpm.What I really love about this mod is the on-board sound. Yes, yes... I can already hear S2K owners yelling at me because 'It DoEsN't EvEn SoUnD LiKe a VTEC!!!!111!!' Let me explain: first of all it sounds at least like a naturally-aspirated 4-cylinder engine with individual throttle bodies, compared to other official cars of the game.. What I'm really surprised of is how the guys behind this Maou S2000 mod have replicated the 'behavior' of sound based on throttle response, which is pretty rare to be found on other N/A engined Assetto Corsa mods. Generally they are only based on engine RPMs so you may found a car to sound exactly the same (at a certain number of RPMs, of course) both if you press the throttle at 20% and at 100%. Binaural recordings are reproductions of sound the way human ears hear it. Traditionally, recordings have been made using mono or stereo. Binaural recording takes the stereo method one step further by placing two microphones approximately at the same average distance that exists between one and the other human ear. To recreate the best effect you must put the microphones in your ears or by using a "dummy head" (wherein a mannequin head is outfitted with a microphone in each ear) because having a real head or a head shape that separates the two microphones is what makes the magic works. In fact if a car passes on your left side the sound will take a few extra microseconds to reach the right ear and it will also be louder in one ear (left) than the other. My stints of a 2h Kart Endurance at Topfuel Racing Milan Arena 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2019-12-13 | During a 2 hours kart endurance with 3 friends of mine I had to drive two times in the last part of the race (6 mandatory stints, so 5 driver changes, and I did the third to last an the very last 15 minutes stints).Our team was leading with a great advantage on the second position so I just had to avoid mistakes overtaking lapped drivers. To recreate the best effect you must put the microphones in your ears or by using a "dummy head" (wherein a mannequin head is outfitted with a microphone in each ear) because having a real head or a head shape that separates the two microphones is what makes the magic works. In fact if a car passes on your left side the sound will take a few extra microseconds to reach the right ear and it will also be louder in one ear (left) than the other. Close Go-Kart Race w/ Pit-Stop - Kart & Go Como [GoPro Hero 7 Black] 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2019-03-06 | --Point 1: the race.Yesterday I went to Kart & Go Como, an indoor karting venue in Italy, for the second race of an amateur championship I'm doing with the Scuderia Ferrari Club of Como. The format was 10 minutes of qualifying and 15 minutes of race with a mandatory "pit-stop" of 20 seconds. I started from the 6th place and I was sure someone in front of me would have done his pit-stop in the first lap (you could do it at any time during the race, but only one driver at a time). But they took me off guard and I tried to took advantage of it by doing mine immediately. I thought it would work better, but the fact of having entered the pits with cold tires, that resulted in doing the following lap still with cold tires and losing a little too much time compared to my front rivals. All the rest is in the video. I have to admit it was one of the most enjoyable races I had so far even if I finished in 6th place! Best Lap: 33.445Kart: Sodi SR4 Honda 200cc 4-strokes--Point 2: GoPro Hero 7 Black. I'm testing this new action camera since January and I'm still not happy, mostly about the audio. I was using the Super Suit case, with the opened rear door, and audio setted to "stereo" (not "auto" or "windshield" mode). I was hoping the wind noise it wouldn't have been excessive, but I was wrong. Still too much for my tastes, and compared to my beloved old Hero 4. Need to try other settings next time. Hypersmooth stabilization improves a lot the general video, but using it with karts and lots of vibrations, I noticed too much artifacts are created to stabilized the image. [Dirt Rally 2.0] Mitsubishi Lancer Evo X N4 Soundcheck & Turbo Anti-Lag Abuse 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2019-02-26 | Since I'm in love with how the turbo anti-lag sounds like in Dirt Rally 2.0, but not really happy of how barely you hear it using the "on board view", I did a little experiment. I took the Lancer Evo X N4, famous to continuously popping and backfiring and went sightseeing in one of Poland's special stages just to hear the ALS. Where is the experiment? Well, while editing the video I merged the on board sound with what you hear when you use the "chase camera" (louder and deeper explosions from the exhaust). I consider it some kind of hybrid sound mod for the "cockpit view" XD N.B. OnBoard POV in a Ford SportKa at the Nürburgring (Nordschleife + Sprintstrecke) [SUB ENG] 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2019-01-01 | Here's a video I made during my summer 2018 holidays in Germany, at the Nürburgring. Going there and don't have a drive on the Green Hell it's like having made the trip up there for nothing, so as I did in 2016 for my very first experience on the Nordschleife, I went to Need For Ring, one of the many car rental company around the track, in order to rent something to enjoy the evening toursitenfahrten (tourist rides). I was looking for something a bit "more" powerful and fast compared to the Ford SportKa I rented 2 years ago for my very first 4 laps but unfotunately there was nothing available if not the same SportKa! Taking into account that my buddy MattyB727 wanted to do his first Green Hell lap, I agreed to divide the cost of the rental so we would have done two laps each.This video is about my two laps (my 5th and 6th ever lap, a bit cutted and edited due to traffic and "boring" parts, on the 'Ring) in that lovely lightened and stiffened 95hp SportKa. I must admit it's the perfect car if it's your first experience there and it's possibly the cheapest rental car of the Nurburgring. It's a bit stressful seeing the car struggling on the few uphill straights, but due to its lightweight, roll bar and setup you can attack the corners without much problems. In the game you had to steal a top secret project Jetpack during a mission or you could spawn it using a cheat (I still remember the correct combination XD). I would never have imagined that one day I would be able to see a fully functional one. And that happened during the 2018 Goodwood Festival of Speed.Well, that's not the first jetpack ever made since the desire that has always characterized human kind to be able to fly has always been there and many jetpack concepts or prototypes have been built and tested in the last 50-60 years. But JetPack Aviation has now arrived at an amazing point with their jetpacks development with their JB11. This is the first jetpack to receive certification from the Federal Aviation Administration and it's powered by six 'turbojet' engines - four for power, two for emergencies - which can be powered by jet fuel or diesel, and are controlled by the handle on the pilot's right side. Ford Focus RS MK3 Sound test: Exhaust + In-Engine Turbo Noises Mixed Together! 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2018-07-03 | Time ago I came across some interesting videos here on Youtube where the actual video's audio had been replaced by the one recorded by some kind of microphone/recording device placed inside the engine bay of various cars, turbocharged cars to be precise. I fell in love instantly hearing the turbines chirping and whistling perfectly.I did a test with my crappy car, a Ford Fiesta, by placing a little lavalier microphone a few centimeters far from the intake pipe. The result wasn't bad at all but the problem was the car. Infact my plan was to merge the audio recorded inside the engine bay with a second audio taken from the exhaust, but I had to wait for a decent sounding car.A few months ago I had the chance to test drive a Ford Focus RS Mk3. Perfect opportunity. So here is the result! Video is quite boring, I know, but I didn't want to exceed too much due to the speed limits and because my only concern was to test the microphone. When I understood the two audio tracks were good, I had another problem: how do I edit it? Well, this led me to split this video in various parts and you will tell me which one you prefer.For the beginning till 3:38 (plus other parts of the video) you have both the engine and the exhaust sounds merged together and on both audio channels (left and right). This seems to me the best one but why not trying to place the turbo sounds on your left ear and the exhaust on the right? It's what I did from 3:39 to 6:07 and from 6:34 to 6:59. First time behind the wheel of a Legends Car (depowered) at Castelletto Circuit 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2018-02-14 | Nothing special to show with this video. Just my first ever experience with a little Legends Car I rented for 5 laps at Castelletto di Branduzzo circuit, in Italy. Really a careful and granny-style driving due to both a lot of insecurity on my side and how the car was loosing grip due to the quite low temperatures (5-6° C). In adddition to the slow driving, I should have dare more on the brakes, to be honest, but a part from that it has been a marvellous experience. The Legends Cars are powered by a motorcycle engine (Yamaha 1300cc in this case) with a 5-speed sequential gearbox and a max power between 130 and 150hp at 10,500 rpm. Due to my first test, the one I tried has been depowered a bit so I'm expecting it had less than 100hp. But still with a weight around 500kg, short wheelbase and welded differential they're a hell of fun to be driven! I must admit I loved so much doing those quite useless "heel and toe" downshifts, sounds almost like a DFV engine from the inside hahah Unfortunately I wasn't revving higher than 7000-7500 rpm just because the engine didn't have power and torque over that (due to the restricted engine of course).Other two things I didn't enjoyed so much are that being almost 2 meters tall I was really stuck inside the cockpit (especially my legs touched the steering wheel) and the fact the steering wheel wasn't perfectly centered (I know, I should have stopped after the first 10 meters and should have fixed it right away) which was probabily the worst feeling I've ever had driving a car! It strange to describe but you struggle to set the correct corner trajectory and it's a lot harder to control the car oversteering. Still another gameplay on Assetto Corsa but this time I'd like to add possibily what is my favorite form of car racing (hillclimb) and one of my favorite race car, the Alfa Romeo 155 DTM. For this video I choose the marvellous Transfăgărăşan highway, in Romania, which is considered the greatest driving road in the world. The mod I used features "only" 24 kilometres of the total 90 km but it includes the most beautiful part with an endless series of hairpins. I tried to push as much as I could but I made a couple of mistakes in the last part and a bit of hesitations in other points of the course. Binaural recordings are reproductions of sound the way human ears hear it. Traditionally, recordings have been made using mono or stereo. Mono uses a single microphone while stereo uses two, spaced apart from each other. Binaural recording takes the stereo method one step further by placing two microphones approximately at the same average distance that exists between one and the other human ear. To recreate the best effect you must put the microphones in your ears or by using a "dummy head" (wherein a mannequin head is outfitted with a microphone in each ear) because having a real head or a head shape that separates the two microphones is what makes the magic works. In fact if a car passes on your left side the sound will take a few extra microseconds to reach the right ear and it will also be louder in one ear (left) than the other. [3D Binaural Audio] Frecce Tricolori Italian Aerobatic Team at Jesolo Air Show 2017! 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2017-08-28 | Here you are something new for you! Yesterday I went to the 2017 Jesolo European Air Show in Italy in order to record some fighter jets, airplanes, helicopters and a couple of acrobatic teams with my 3D binaural microphone. This video is about the full display of the Italian Air Force' acrobatic team called "Frecce Tricolori" which is composed by 10 Aermacchi MB-339 A/PAN airplanes. This was my very first time recording some airplanes and I must say I found it quite hard. I'm used to record cars for just a few seconds and then stop recording but keeping the camcorder in my hands without any tripods, at full zoom fighting for not shaking too much for 10-20 minutes continuously has been really challenging. But I'm very happy with the result of the binaural audio recordings: those low, gloomy and hammering jet noises are perfect for that microphone. Formula RaceRoom X-17 = F1 2017 + V10 Engine!! First Drive at the Nordschleife XD 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2017-06-16 | 3 months later and I'm finally back with another video on this 2nd channel. Yesterday the team of Race Room Racing Experience (R3E) released a new Formula car to their racing game and it's called Formula RaceRoom X-17. Basically it's a F1 2017 (see the huge tires, big wings, shapes) but it features a 950hp V10 engine instead of the current turbocharged V6. DRS and Traction Control are other features of this car. TC is just like the early 2000s F1s but you can also decide to remove it and swearing to manage all the power.Since I'm the first one who would like to have back again the glorious V10s especially on the 2017 cars with all that aero and tires, for this video I decided to play a bit with the fantasy and try to do a few laps on the Green Hell XD With many mistakes and now a big awareness of using less the curbs next time you can see me doing three laps on the Nordschleife course with a quite unexpected time just a little above the 5 minutes mark. Placing a microphone inside the engine bay of my Ford Fiesta!! LOL First Sound Test 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2017-03-13 | Don't worry guys! I fell in love instantly hearing the turbines chirping and whistling perfectly.So I tried to understand how to do this, what equipment was necessary to me with all the opportune research I usually do when I discover something new. But after a while I shelved the "project".A few weeks ago I finally decided to focus a bit better on this project in order to found and buy everything I need and make a first test, at least. Even my car isn't the best choice for this kind of videos the result is quite hilarious but really satisfying in my opinion.I purchased a little lavalier microphone (a Rode smartLav+, which is the best mic I found in terms of price/sound quality) and fitted 20 centimeters far from both the intake pipe and the throttle body of my Fiesta's 1.25 litre 4-cylinder engine. I linked the microphone to a 6 meters extension cable and then plugged it into my Zoom H1 portable recorder. Then I made a short driving around the streets inside Monza Circuit (most of them unexpectedly closed by concrete jersey barriers -.-) recording the video with my Go Pro Hero 4. What you're hearing is the actual in engine sound recorded with the Rode lavalier and it sounds pretty clean to me both the metallic valves noise and the sucking of the air intake. What do you think? The WORST but Funniest Way to Drive a 125cc Rotax Rental Go Kart... or not? 19Bozzy92nd Channel 2017-02-17 | A bit of history of this video: this was the second time I drove a 125cc 2 strokes go kart back in November 2015. The first time I put my bottom on a shitty rental kart with a lawn mower engine was in 2011 and during all these years I went karting almost twice a months if not more often. During all these years I learned that the cleaner and more precise I drove the lower were the lap times.So during my first experience on one of these 125cc beasts (the week before this video) I focused so much on driving it as clean as I could but sensations, reactions, throttle and brake pedals responses were completely different to those I was used to. I wasn't able to drive it at all. The only thing I managed to do was avoiding any sort of crash, spin or exit on the grass. That was fun as hell even if I probabilly drove like an old woman would drive her daily car. What I loved the most was the speed and its tendency to oversteer at the exit of every corner, for obvious reasons.So the second time I was more focused on enjoying my 8 minutes rental session than on learning how to drive it and making my best lap. And the result is what you see in this video XD I believe it contains almost all the worst thing you could do to a kart (going hard on curbs, powersliding, sudden throttle blips, braking and accelerating at the same time and those moments when the engine revs die, I think aren't bad at all for it...).
