Soooooooo I am uh.....incredibly late with uploading this mep part LOL. The actual vid was posted a month ago whoops (in my defense I've been too ill to use my computer since like may until very recently). BUT ANYWAYS THIS AINT ABOUT ME! THIS IS ABOUT SPUDD! We made this mep as a show of appreciation to him. He has been putting in a LOT of time, work, and energy into the amv community and he's always such a delight to have around. The mad lad was hosting 2 contest related things at the same time all the while also going to multiple conventions back to back LMAOOOO. Absolutely crazy. I absolutely ADORE his spy x family vids so much so I knew I had to use it for my part. I'm not really sure I did it justice (spudd is just such a king at editing with the source) but I tried LOL. I used some composite layers I don't normally use so it was a lot of fun playing around with those and just going ham. I was a bit worried that all the colored lightleaks and comps made it look kinda cheesy, but peeps said it was fine(?) so it's whatever at this point I guess XD. Anyways, I'm so glad we could do this for Spudd and we just all had such a fun time working on it together and motivating each other to push ourselves further. Jukebox the Ghost is also one of my favorite bands so it was really nice that spudd and I share that in common and that I finally got to edit with one of their songs. You know....people teased me about making an mmv for the Joker Troupe week long IC.....and I said "No I'm not doing this again in less than a year!"........I swear originally I wasn't going to! Buuuuuut then seasalt came in and was like "Hey.....wanna make an mmv collab with our otp that you're obsessed with?" SOOOOOOOOOO how on earth could I say no to that??? I've done a few mmv meps but this is my first collab with one! And it was actually my first like.....COLLABORATIVE collab (ironic I know). Usually with them we just assign parts and do whatever.....but this time we just kinda.....grabbed and went from where ever LOL. We did little changes here and there to each others parts, beta'd and said what we thought needed fixing etc etc. It was a lot of fun being that involved in a project together with someone. But yah, since they are pretty random we figured we would just both upload the vid instead of trying to figure out how to upload our individual parts after a single upload XD. (I'm curious if you can figure out who made what). BUT YAH SETT X NINA!!!! I GOT TO EDIT WITH THEM! MY BLORBOS!!! I LOVE THEM!!!!! JUST AAAAAAAAAAAH!!!!! Please, if you ship them too, I NEED to scream. Seasalt was actually the one who got me into the series in the first place, and we both read them like within a day of each other (I read it in a single sitting whoops). SURPRISE BITCHES!!!! (affectionate). So I hosted a 5hr mmv ic on a whim and gave a week notice lol. I honestly wasn't expecting more than like 1 or 2 people to join tbh....cause mmvs are hard work, 5hrs even more so, and it was very short notice.....but so many people expressed interest and 10 people ended up joining me and all did amazing!! I'm so happy and honored that they participated and so many did new things to boot! Seriously really proud of you all! I ended up getting designated the fastest paced song (lol whoops)......so if you see animations/masks/full sequences that you've seen in other vids......then shh no you didn't......tho I guess a lot of it will be new for you guys cause the mep part I've been using a bunch of these for hasn't been released yet LOOOOOL. SAFE! I mean uh....totally all new......I did actually do one new animation (the escalator jump that I accidentally named elevator in the nest file WHOOPS), and a handful of masks.....but otherwise most of it is.....well just don't be too impressed (if you were at all) LMAOOOO. I swear I wanted to do a lot more new things I hadn't done before but even with this I still only finished with a minute to spare T.T BUT ANYWAYS I had sooooo much fun. Most of us were in a call together while editing it so it was fun screaming at each other as we struggled lol. Can't believe I actually finished it LOL. This week is the final week (unless you are a top 5 finalist of course)! The theme was "Aliens, Time-Travelers & Espers" so we had to showcase the bizarre and supernatural! And what is more bizarre than this? I say as though I had a choice. I keep telling myself that I will never edit an mmv in a week again.....and each time I lie apparently T.T BUT I FINALLY MADE A VID WITH THE PERFECT VIBES I HAVE BEEN SEEKING OUT TO EDIT LETS GOOOO!! I don't even care if this ends up getting docked points cause of the length and style......this was such a self indulgent vid LOL. This week's theme was Wayback Machine - we had to match a retro source (2005 or older) with a modern source (2019 or newer)......and seeing as every medium of fruits basket fits all of those criteria....welllll I just HAD to use it. I was really feeling the mmv editing bug again tho so I threw a curve ball and used the manga instead of the anime remake LOL. I'm so tired. POE IS BACK BB~!!! Boy do I have words to say about this one XD T.T SO this week's theme was Moon Prism Power. Basically you had to showcase the personality traits of one of the astrological signs.....So I chose Scorpio which was described as "determined, intense, courageous, emotional, intuitive, jealous, secretive, obsessive". I thought that fit Homura to a tea SO I FINALLY MADE A VID I HAD AN IDEA FOR SINCE 2020 RIGHT BEFORE THAT YEAR'S POE LOLOLOL. It has come full circle. Anyways, I only actually spent 2 days editing this cause I was on vacation and v busy and then was dying from traveling (as ya do with chronic illness LOL).......aaaaaand the last stretch I uh....might have had an anaphylactic allergic reaction......and kept editing while doped up on the good shit to save my life XDDD WHOOPS!! Editing and rendering this has been an EXPERIENCE guys. WOOOOOO I CAN FINALLY UPLOAD THIS!! Been sitting on it for a while BUT HERE WE ARE! SURPRISE RANDOM UPLOAD FROM MWAH! I had so much fun doing this and trying out a bunch of new techniques. And I'm so happy that Tay let me be a part of this mep T.T AND I GOT TO EDIT WITH TOKYO REVENGERS ONE OF MY FAVORITE MANGAS!!! The theme was "Characters haunted by their failure to save someone. This failure can be represented by death, betrayal, separation, etc. so long as the absence has a profoundly negative effect on the character's mental state". I was a little nervous about making the time travel aspect come through in a 15 second section, but I think it worked out?? MY LONGEST MMV YET LETS GOOOOOO~!!!! Omg, I saw an mmv of a particular style that really inspired me to want to make my own like it. SO HERE WE ARE LOL. I set the project down for a while, but when I *did* edit it I really flew through it. Holy moly. I didn't know I could make an mmv this long this fast XD It's more of a simple style, but I tried to add a couple of things and do a few tricks to keep it interesting......hopefully I succeeded?? I had some fun with color this time around AND I even added text??? Doing all the new things. I gotta say, finding the scenes took the longest because 1)VINCENT'S BACKGROUND IS SO SCATTERED OMG and 2) I kept getting distracted and read the volumes as I went all over again.....oz....echo's cape....i cri T.T Shout out again to Juror for helping me find where things were. IT HAS BEEN 9 MONTHS SINCE I LAST EDITED WITH PRINCESS TUTU??????? WTFFFFFFFF?!?!?!?! FAKE FAN! T.T But for reals it feels soooooo good to have edited princess tutu again. It's been to long :') So I decided to take part in Fakiru week on a whim. Originally I rolled dice and got the day for "chains" but in my search for songs I stumbled across Iris and was like "PRINCESS TUTU AND THE GOO GOO DOLLS?? WELL SHOOT GUESS I GOTTA DO THIS NOW!!" and went with it for the Scatter theme. (TOTALLY not cause of the whole broken line, nope, defos not the only reason....). I love PT but usually it can be kinda tricky to edit with. HOWEVER! This time around everything just kinda fit.....perfectly? The amount of times I would plop a scene down and it already synced was insane. Usually I have to fiddle hardcore with it cause it tends to have short movement with long periods of nothing in-between and sometimes they either move too fast or too slow. BUT NOT THIS TIME!!! I really love the intro to the song so I was sad to cut it out but I couldn't for the life of me think of what I wanted to do for it cause all the other fakiru scenes I didn't use were either too dramatic or too goofy for the vibe of it XDD WHOOPS! But yah, it's short, but I'm pleased with the outcome~ (See sometimes I can edit without Rue LMAO). I suck at endings tho guys T.T

TAAAAAAAAAY I FINIIIIIIISHED!!! FINALLLLYYYYy~!!! This is the longest mmv I've made yet!!! Thanks for listening to me scream at you and have crisis's during this project LOLOL. Omg, I finally got to make this vid. I can't believe it T.T One of the first mmvs I ever saw was a yuki x machi vid with this song 17yrs ago......omg has it really been THAT long?? I always wanted to recreate it, and honestly one of my first thoughts when the 2019 remake got announced was "Finally!! I get to make an amv with this pairing!!".........only......the anime cut out so many good Yuchi scenes :') i cri. But since I started to make mmvs I was like "wait, I can just....make my own version of this pairing as an mmv! I have this skill now to do so!". Unfortunately I couldn't do the whole song (lmfao me talking as though I would actually make a 4+min long mmv) cause there uh.....really isn't a lot to work with......BUT I personally don't think the second verse would have meshed well with them anyways. But gosh I can't hear this song and NOT think of them. I'm just so happy I actually got to make this cause this is like one of the ultimate passion projects for me (even tho it's short sorz), but I'm pretty pleased with how it turned out. I tried to not do as many animations......Idk if I succeeded or failed cause there's like....5 LMAO BUT I wanted something more "simple"(?) and soft to fit the fluffy YEARNING vibes. ALSO I ACTUALLY DID TEXT GUYS!!! I TRIED SO HARD!! BLOOD SWEAT AND TEARS WERE SHED SEARCHING FOR A FONT I WANTED!! I spent literally days trying to find something and then was like "honestly....I just want the manga font" and Tay was all "You called~??". So I got some fonts out of the search, but didn't use them cause at the end Tay gave me what I needed LOL. All for not. I tried hard guys. I did my best. Oh gosh, how the hell do I describe this ic.......soooo the jist of it is that you had to use 6 second segments, and you couldn't cut them up and move them around (it's fine if the source naturally changes scenes tho and speeding/slowing clips down was fine). We had 10 days to finish it and it had to be at least 1min long with 10 6sec sections (confusing I know, sorry LOL). SO, I thought "lets do a cutesy romance vibe amv with hyouka! Haven't done one of those in a while!". BUT LO AND BEHOLD! Past me didn't know how to convert properly so I would have had to wait days for it all to get done T.T (Curse you 10bit 265!!). So I was like "Screw it! If I can't have cutesy love then there shall only be angsty death~". And I've been wanting to edit this combo ever since the song came out (so literal years lmao). I finally got off my ass and did it XD FINALLY EDITED WITH MOTHER MOTHER YALL!! Truly an untapped obsession of mine. I got to play with color gradient again tho hehehe twas lots of fun. And then I was like "DODGE LAYER!" so that happened. And then I finally tried out track effects so the static happened. And it just kinda resulted in this LOL. YOU'D THINK AFTER EDITING FOR SO MANY YEARS I WOULD KNOW THESE THINGS XD. I have learned so many new obvious things over the last couple weeks lmao. This is what happens when you branch out I guess. OK SO, HEAR ME OUT! I actually had a dream about this amv, and when I told my mom about it she begged me to make it......SO A YEAR LATER I HAVE FINALLY DONE IT! I was originally gonna make something else for RICE, but then the motivation to make this struck me like 3 weeks before the deadline so I went for it. Somehow survived making back to back vids for like 4 months......and I'm still not done......LOLOL. While making this I was torn between wanting to rewatch the show and having nothing to do with it again......and then the contest had 2 MORE AOT VIDS AND I DIED XD (They're awesome though, so I'm glad they were made).
