I really wanted to make something with this song, but wasn't sure what. I almost considered using it with Rocket, but my Origin vid was already in progress and I didn't want to switch songs for him. Plus, Rocket wasn't really "made." He might have been "transformed," but I really wanted a literal character to match this, and then Mewtwo came to mind because he was literally made by man! But now that I think about it, he and Rocket do share similar experiences.

According to one of Mewtwo's Pokedex entries: "Created by a scientist after years of horrific gene splicing and DNA engineering experiments..."

What better character than one who literally questions his purpose?

I had lots of feels and nostalgia about the first Pokemon movie while making this, sorry not sorry if it gives you feels too! xD

My next vid will also have Mewtwo in it! =D He's definitely one of my favorite Pokemon ever!

Dinner is Swerved | Ratatouille | One Little Slip

Origin | Rocket Raccoon Tribute | Its Time

Welp I've never had to put a content warning on one of my vids before, but I strongly felt it was needed for this one. If you haven't seen Guardians Vol 3 and don't know what you're in for, please tread carefully. The warning is there for a reason! (and there should have been a warning before the movie itself too, but there wasn't...)

One of the heaviest videos I've ever done...I was an emotional mess while making it! I have heard about how sensitive some of the audience was going to see Guardians Vol 3, especially about what was involved in Rocket's "creation" (quotes because he is naturally a raccoon first and foremost) and was worried about making this video because of all the possible trigger warnings; I know I had a difficult time making it.

I found this cover of "It's Time" and instantly knew this could work for Rocket despite how different it is compared to the original song, but I guess that's why it works for his character. I could see the original working as a tribute for ALL the Guardians, but really wanted to make something just for Rocket. This cover definitely works better for him better than the original!

It's one of the most beautiful covers I've ever heard and is now one of my top favorites ever.

Guardians Vol 3 moved me with Rocket's eventual acceptance of who he really is, going from "Don't call me a raccoon" to calling himself "Rocket Raccoon."

Despite everything he went through, he's not ever going to let anyone change his true origin. I thought this cover of "It's Time" was the perfect choice to convey that.

I hope this video moves you just as much!

Dont Look Up Your Name | AMV Trailer Parody

thefanvideoer2 2023-09-29 | It's been a while since I've done a trailer! A VERY long time actually, so I'm kind of rusty when it comes to these things. I know this is unusual from what I normally do but I had WAY too much fun with this! Once I thought of this combo together, the idea just wouldn't leave me alone! Both movies involve comets/asteroids coming to Earth, although the one in Your Name didn't destroy the entire planet. The lip sync was difficult but fun, and I made all the text. It's pretty much the same font as the original Don't Look Up trailer. I know the actors were mentioned in the original too, but I thought that went by too fast, and it would have been even harder to replicate here. So I mixed the text up a little bit! I even made the Netflix logo at the end (not exactly like it so no one would think I just stole the original haha)

You might have noticed that I didn't only use Your Name, but Weathering With You as well. This was because of the somewhat limited scene selection when it came to all the different characters in the trailer. I almost ran out of casting options, but using another movie helped with that!

True Heroes | Super Mario Bros | Go the Distance

Yes one of the main reasons I chose this song for this movie specifically was the "shooting star" line xD Plus Bowser playing the piano!! This is a beautiful cover of Go the Distance by Shawn Hook & Kurt Hugo Schneider (the very same who covered the version of Fix You I used in my Vivo video!) Apparently I wasn't the only one who thought of this combo because there's at least 2 others who already did it! Those vids were the first thing that popped up when I searched for Mario amvs and my stomach dropped in disappointment that I wasn't the first to do this LOL don't you hate it when that happens?? But this cover is my FAVORITE, no one else has used this version of the song from what I can tell, and we all had totally different scene ideas so I couldn't resist!

I also had fun with the other lyrics like 'uphill slope!' When you're an editor, it's hard to listen to songs without thinking of scenes like that haha

When you're an editor, it's also hard not to notice certain things like stylistic choices in films such as this one. I did NOT notice when I first watched it in theaters, but while editing this video, it occurred to me that there's a strange, slightly gray-ish "filter" on the movie. At first I thought something was wrong with the copy I have, but looking back at official trailers, it's also on those too! So I actually did a little bit of color correcting in this video. If it looks different to you, that's why! I just wasn't a fan of the strange filter and now I can't watch the original movie the same way (but I still love it!) But I guess they were going for a kind of video-gamey style or something? Pay close attention next time you watch it!

As for the video itself, I'm not sure how many viewers who watch this have played any of the Mario games. I myself have only played a few (my favorite being Mario Party 2 on the Nintendo 64 if that counts.) So I tried to make the focus of this vid mostly on Mario and Luigi trying to find each other and less on the video game aspects but there's still some of that of course xD I hope that came through!

Curious Questions | Luca | Wonderful Life (Smallfoot)

The Smallfoot soundtrack is addicting and I could put it with everything if I wanted to lol jk, but once I thought of this song with Luca it was so cute I couldn't stop working on the video and it was done before I knew it! The plots of both movies are also kind of similar with humans/creatures meeting each other and becoming friends after being afraid of them at first.

Also I would have called this "Wonderful Questions" but there's already a reprise of Wonderful Life on the soundtrack with the same title, so I didn't want anyone to be confused. "Curious Questions" has a nice ring to it anyway I think!

A long editing hiatus can do wonders for inspiration! I STILL have a few other videos in progress that are coming soon! And look at that, another planet in one of my thumbnails xD (seriously though, that scene in Luca is so beautiful!) The main reason I made this was because there is a very similar scene in Smallfoot while this song is playing!

Light Lies | HTTYD | Let it Lie

When was the last time I made a full length HTTYD vid? A five minute one, no less?! It feels like it's been forever...and it feels great to finally make one again! I remember when the first movie (and 2nd when it released) used to be most of what I would edit with, lol.

Anyway, I had a light bulb moment one day: I really wanted to make a video with this song, but wasn't sure with what movie(s) at first. Then it dawned on me that HTTYD could be a good fit after thinking it could be from the dragons' POV. As soon as I thought of the Light Fury as Common's character, everything started making a little more sense, and then Toothless as Migo who meets a "Smallfoot" (Hiccup) and becomes curious about humans. The character in Smallfoot is not exactly a villain; he just wants to do what's right for his people, even though he might not always see eye to eye with everyone, including his daughter. But I DO see the Light Fury as somewhat of a villain, because she is one of the main reasons why Toothless decides to leave Hiccup. So I guess in a way, this song helped me understand the Light Fury's character more and why she wanted to bring Toothless and the other dragons to the Hidden World (but I still don't think all of it is justified...) In the end it was Toothless and Hiccup's decision I suppose, but Light Fury still played a BIG part in that and I don't think I will ever forgive her for separating them.

Thank you for coming to my TED talk xD The vid was still very fun to make, I especially had a great time trying to make Toothless and Light Fury "lip sync."

I am also still surprised that this song came from Smallfoot, but it's soooo catchy! The movie is definitely worth a watch if you haven't yet, and I even have a vid coming up with another song from the soundtrack!

Homeward Bound | Adventure (Matthew Parker)

I found this song first and really wanted to edit with it but had no idea what to use, so I looked at my movie list and landed on this oldie but goodie (thinking of a song first is just as hard as thinking of something to use first...) Then I started feeling nostalgic and there was no going back, especially with how the lyrics perfectly describe their adventure to get home! I miss Shadow, Chance and Sassy ): Talk about a throwback!

Defy Explanation

An epic movie that deserves an epic song! How many of you recognized the lyrics in the title before reading the description? (if anyone even reads these descriptions, anyway...no this is not an April Fools joke, but happy April Fools anyway lol!) This version of "Pure Imagination" has been a favorite of mine for a while and I've always wanted to use it with something but didn't know what. It has an amazing sense of action/adventure and what other movie has that as well? This one of course! As soon as I thought of this movie with this song, I couldn't see any other pairing! TP will always be one of my favorites and I haven't made a vid for it in such a long time, so why not? ^^

Wish Upon a Teapot

This movie came out in 2021 on Netflix and if you haven't seen it, you should! It's a really great movie that has wishes and a dragon in it, similar to Aladdin but still original. I wanted to make a vid with it to give it the attention that it deserves! I love the characters and the story SO MUCH!

I've been on a roll with about 2 vids every month so far, but we'll see if I can keep that up. Truth be told, most of these are projects that I've been working on for a while so I have a backlog that's almost up!

Do you guys like these premieres or should I go back to just uploading once the videos are done? I kinda like building the anticipation, but then I get impatient lol.

Death Cometh | Last Wish | Reaper (Silverberg)

I refuse to call the wolf himself a villain (only calling him wolf here in case of spoilers but the vid is spoiler heavy too,) because he's more like an antagonist, but even then that's kind of a stretch. You'll know what I mean if you've seen this glorious movie! I haven't even watched the first PiB, but it's not needed at all to understand this sequel. I had been planning to see it in theaters for a while, but then my good friend ecmcookiez got me to finally go and see it thanks to hyping up this character and boy, did he deliver!

Seriously! She comes up with really good song picks for characters, like Play with Fire and Shen. This song was also a suggestion by her! So another big thank you to my BFF @ecmcookiez2 for giving me this idea, too! It's an epic pairing and I really hope I did Puss's story justice. Was really not expecting to like the movie as much as I did even though I love DW but it's amazing and highly recommend anyone who's still on the fence to see it as well!

Parallel Friendships / Spirit / HTTYD / Free Willy

thefanvideoer2 2023-02-14 | I've always wanted to do something like this but never found the right song / was inspired enough until it clicked that I should use THIS song! Beyond the Clouds by Audiomachine, which was used in the HTTYD2 teaser trailer! Does anyone remember it? I sure do, and was really disappointed when it wasn't actually in the movie xD It was on the tip of my tongue and took a while for me to remember the name, but I'm glad I finally did so I could make this video with 3 of my favorite films, all of which are impossible for me to watch without thinking of the other, especially during certain scenes like all the hands reaching out! Among other scenes, but those stand out to me the most.

I guess you could also call this vid a kind of study of how similar they all are. I was also experimenting with some effects, but took them out 'cause they looked really bad lol. At first I was hesitant to add Willy in there since it's live action and the other two are animated, but I knew I could never leave out such a big part of my childhood and what made me love orcas today.

All 3 of these films are very special to me one way or the other and I just had to find a way to bring them all together!

Also taking a risk adding in the names in the YT title. It felt wrong not to include them, but I hope comments don't get disabled if the vid is flagged. Speaking of titles, I played around with the title in the thumbnail which I don't usually do (I always thought it was a bit weird adding the title in the thumbnail when it's already in the YT title, sorry) but I have a lot of free time on my hands right now so why not!

The Last Guardian - Levitate (Imagine Dragons)

It's kind of funny, but I don't think I've ever celebrated the date when I joined youtube! Re-joined, to be more accurate, since my first channel was taken down years ago. But today on Feb 5th is when I made my 2nd channel which has thankfully been able to stay up since then. I couldn't imagine losing everything again; the thought is just too much to bear! Sadly I don't remember the original date when I joined, but it must have been sometime between 2009-2010. I don't think I'd go very long without making another channel.

Who better to celebrate with than an old friend from this game, Trico?! All of the footage is from my own gameplays, but the footage itself is kind of old. I need to replay the game again and get new clips of Trico being his adorable and loveable self! I just thought the vibe of this song also matched the game pretty well, since we the players do seem to levitate (fall xD) a LOT during the game, but thankfully Trico is always there to catch us. It was great revisiting the game by making this vid. I still love it and hope you do too!

This is one of those times where the movie is not exactly one of my favs, but I did this anyway because the combo seemed like a good idea xD

Lord Shen - Play with Fire 🔥

My good friend ecmcookiez2 suggested this combo to me YEARS ago and I never did it, but I finally got enough inspiration to finish it up, especially since I haven't been editing that much lately (but I AM trying my best to get back into it) This was sooooo much fun, I literally had a "blast" making it xD I just love KFP2 and Shen so much, he's for sure the best DW villain and it's like this song was made specifically for him LOL

Slight coloring done by me to better match the song's mood. Also added a cannon sound effect from the movie itself at the ending.

Speaking of the ending, YES, Shen finally accomplishes his goal and one-shots Po xD

Dylan & Rebecca - In My Eyes (The Afters)

thefanvideoer2 2022-11-04 | I watched this movie a few years ago on Netflix and this song instantly came to mind thanks to a certain HTTYD vid to this same song (if you're in the fandom, you'll probably know which one I'm talking about) but I didn't get around to making this for a while due to lack of inspiration. But it was always in the back of my mind and just too perfect, so eventually I knew I HAD to do it because the song title and movie title are basically the same - "In My Eyes" and "In YOUR Eyes!" I love finding perfect matches like that, like the song was made for this movie. Not only does the title fit, the lyrics fit nicely too!

And what's this? TWO vids in such a short time?? I'm getting a head start on my New Year's resolution, which is to be more active like I used to! =D

House Character Profile - Monster (Frozen Musical)

You know, I haven't actually made that many Monster House vids over the years, but it occurred to me that I haven't really done one from the House's point of view. It didn't start out that way and I was having trouble looking for a song this year; I really wanted something that had to do with lyrics involving "monster," of course. After a TON of searching I finally landed on the most obvious: this one from the Frozen musical! It fits Constance perfectly, and the most entertaining lyric match to me is "Is everyone in danger, as long as I'm ALIVE?" It then became a video from her point of view.

Overall I just had a lot of fun with this xD

Electric Blue

I was originally going to use another song, but didn't have enough inspiration for that one. Then this came to mind and all I saw was Sonic's powers with the "Electric" parts xD It also makes sense with the power bumps, too! All the dancing scenes were a joy to put together, as well.

I dedicate this to NightFuryLover3! I've greatly enjoyed our Sonic and Pokemon talks, so I thought this would be the perfect combination! I know I missed your b-day but hopefully this makes up for it!

Strangers Like Guy (Free Guy MV)

thefanvideoer2 2022-06-28 | You know when you get an idea and aren't sure if it could work at first, but listening to the song it just becomes more and more fitting...yeah, this was one of those times for me xD I wanted to do a vid with this song to this movie, but wasn't sure if I could get it to work with how 'edgy' (idk if that's the right word lol) Free Guy can be and how upbeat the song is - an unlikely combo.

The main reason I did end up doing it wasn't necessarily because of the "Strangers Like Me" lyrics, but I got a ton of inspiration just from "These emotions I never knew, of some other WORLD far beyond this place"

It just made so much sense, especially if you've seen Free Guy and know what the plot is xD It was pretty difficult finding fitting scenes, but I'm pretty satisfied with how it came out. I know I haven't been that active lately, but I do want to try uploading more vids. I have another one in the works but I'm not sure when I'll be able to finish it.

My Only Eevee

thefanvideoer2 2022-02-21 | Eevee AMV set to a cover of "You Are My Sunshine" by Kina Grannis! This is my first video of 2022, so why not start off with a heavy dose of cute?! I entered this in Katsucon and got the Coordinator's Choice award which surprised me, because it's my first time winning coordinator's choice in a contest xD (Thank you!!) My last video I entered in Katsucon was a Pichu one, so I figured I'd keep up my theme of cute Pokemon paired with cute songs!

I know the title of this is kind of...ironic? Because I'm sure no one only has ONE Eevee in their Pokemon games. I just couldn't think of anything better, haha xD There are some small differences in the one I entered to the contest because I realized I didn't enter the one I wanted to by mistake. I also added Eevee's voice at the beginning and ending for the youtube version since contests don't normally allow "voiceovers."

I hope everyone enjoys, I know I couldn't stop going "awww" while making it!

A bit of a happier vid than my last one, even if I haven't been feeling the same way myself for the last few weeks. It's been hard without my baby boy Stewey, but things have been looking up. It's music and movies like these that help me to remember that just living in the moment whether good or bad is more than enough :)

Soul isn't my favorite Pixar film but I still really enjoyed it and wanted to do something. I can't remember what made me pick this song, but once I did it just stuck xD

Tears Stream

Those lyrics hit me very hard right now.

On Saturday September 25th at around 3:00 PM, my family and I had to make the difficult choice to put my baby, a Chihuahua mix named Stewey to sleep. He passed on peacefully in my arms as I said "I love you" over and over, that he gave us so many wonderful years of love and didn't want him to be in pain anymore, that it was okay for him to go. We thought he was getting better at one point, but then he got worse and we had to make that awful decision. It was more on me since he was my baby, and my chest hurts from the pain of making that decision but I am more relieved that he is not in pain anymore.

I am so glad that movies like this exist to help us learn how to cope with death, even though our families and those close to us help us through the grieving process as well, of course.

Out of all the recent animated films like Luca, Raya, etc., Vivo is a surprise favorite and I think the bond between him and his best friend at the beginning and then at the end with his new best friend as he went through the grieving process himself (and what I am going through right now) shows how strong the bond was that I had with my baby boy Stewey.

Stewey and I met on my birthday in 2006 when I volunteered at our local shelter (walking the dogs was all I wanted to do that day.) He came right up to me and sat in my lap in the play area, and I knew he was the one. The shelter estimated that he was around 2 years old then. He was a big "brother" to Griffin, another Chihuahua that we adopted later on (so yeah, Stewey & Griffin like Family Guy even though I spelled Stewey differently lol)

It might be too soon to upload this since the unthinkable happened so recently, but I don't know what else to do with myself. When he was still here I held him in my lap through a lot of making this vid, it was a way of preparing myself for the inevitable and I feel like I have to upload it for him in honor of his memory, as a part of my promise to him that I'll think of him every day. Just typing this all out is helping me a lot. I'll always have the good times we shared with each other, lots of photos like the ones I shared here and videos.

In loving memory of my baby boy. I am relieved you're not in pain anymore but will always miss you until we meet again.

He was 17 years old, around 2 when he came into our lives. He was a loving, cuddly and happy boy who loved to lie down in the sun whether in the backyard or on the stairs.

And before I forget, a big thank you to my beta testers for this vid (wasn't sure if you'd want to be mentioned, but you know who you are!) I wanted it to be perfect for this tribute and it went through a LOT of different versions. You guys were so patient and a really big help with all of your feedback! I didn't mention the sad part about this because I didn't want to bring anyone else down...

Apologies if I don't respond to any comments. I am still processing everything and it hurts so much, but uploading this video now is a just a little bit healing and I hope its message helps anyone else who might be going through a similar situation. Vivo is amazing, I highly recommend it if you haven't seen it yet! It's helped me a lot to remember to focus on the good times and keep Stewey's memory safe inside my heart and share with others.

Defying Gravity

Fun fact: My grandma's name is on the boat first seen in the beginning! She's turning 100 soon o.0

Also, trying out this aspect ratio. Not sure how I feel about it, maybe I'm just too used to the old 1080p xD

Idk what else to say except Alberto's "take me gravity" quote (had to add it in here xD) made me think of this song and I thought it'd work, haha

On a sadder note, this might be my last video for a while. My best friend of 17 years - my Chihuahua mix Stewey - has been feeling very ill recently and we think his time to go is close. I have some hope that he will get better soon, but he is 17 and I'm not sure there's anything more we can do...if only our beloved animal family had the same lifespans as humans ):

Have you ever had a song stuck in your head that didn't even exist?

A lot has been happening in my life and it's made me "weirdly creative" - to keep my mind off of other things, I guess. I was trying to go to sleep one night and then words to a song suddenly started playing in my head, except I didn't know what song it was from. I tried looking it up, but didn't find anything and it was then that I realized it didn't even exist! I only had a part of the chorus "I know that I'll go" and then the rest slowly started forming on its own when I got the idea to make it a song about HTTYD, more specifically Hiccup & Toothless (more like Hiccup's POV about Toothless.) It's been so long since my last HTTYD vid (shame on me!) and it can sometimes be hard finding fitting songs, so why not write one?

It was my first time writing a song so I didn't really know what to expect when I found Hanaellena's Fiverr page and decided to place an order, but I am NOT disappointed! She is incredible and really brought my song to life in the most amazing, beautiful way possible. She even helped me out with the lyrics and re-arranged them a bit so they would sound better! She also loves the HTTYD trilogy so I think it worked out really well!!

This was my last video entered into the theme challenges that were going on for the last 6 weeks (I have 3 more, but not sure if I'm gonna upload them, lol) I had so much fun and learned a lot from all the judges! This is a slightly updated version from the one I entered, but I didn't change too much, mostly just fixed a few things (and had to go back and fix another thing I noticed after uploading it the first time xD)

The theme for this round was "Dynamic Duo," where we had to pick two characters and focus on them. I had a few different ideas for duos (Hiccup and Toothless included!) but then I remembered this amazing song from years ago in a Megamind vid and basically thought - "what other character is also an alien?" and went through my list, landing on this iconic Disney duo!

KFP - Lesson Number One

Bringing back an oldie because it was a good fit for another theme challenge that I'm taking part in. The theme for this round was "Magic School Bus" (one of the best 90s shows) in other words: teach the viewer something in your video or showcase the characters in your source/song learning something. In my case, I went with Kung Fu Panda and Mulan! (the sequel)

My goal here was to have Shifu teaching Po, then Po passing on his knowledge of kung fu to the kids in the village and becoming a teacher himself as he did in the third movie. It might be a little confusing but "Mulan" is basically the both of them and then the kids all together xD (the kids part was difficult because there was so little footage of the bunnies and I had to switch to the panda kids!)

Curse of the Mob Song

Edited for a week long challenge themed "Parts of the Body." The challenge was to incorporate one or more parts of the body (it could also include things like paws and claws, which is what made me think of this lol) I think I could have gone with something better, but I was afraid all of my other choices were going to be used already xD

That's about all I have to say for this one...the challenge is still going on, so you're probably gonna see more for different themes ^^

Hector - Losing Your Memory

My second entry for DannyPhantomSG1's contest, this time in the sidekick category with Hector from Coco.

No DW character again?? I'm scaring myself now, lol!

It's just because I have absolutely no song ideas for any of my DW favorites right now xD

But he is one of my top favorites in general.

Anyway, Hector is one of the most angsty Disney/Pixar characters, is he not? He was murdered by his so-called best friend, his wife shunned him for almost 100 years and he never got to see his little girl grow up. He didn't even know the truth about what happened to him until Miguel figured it out.

So I knew I needed a really angsty song to go with him and this one seemed to fit him perfectly, especially since Coco almost lost her memory of him...

I also think the twist in this movie is one of the best twists! Usually I can see it coming from a mile away, but not this time! I literally gasped quietly out loud in the theater, I was so glad that Miguel wasn't related to a murderer xD He's right about about Hector being a total upgrade!

Woody - Life After You (Toy Story)

Went back to this version because somehow YT messed up the quality in the newer version...so I guess I'm a lot happier with this one despite that one little mistake. The woes of an editor xD

If you're surprised I didn't go with a DW character (Po specifically,) I surprised myself, too! For those who don't know, Woody is one of my all-time favorite Disney/Pixar characters. I even have an old Burger King toy of him from way back when and a few of the other toys, too. This trilogy (not counting 4) was a big part of my childhood and so is Woody.

I was actually working on this vid already when I saw the contest. It's a remake of an old one I did around 2011 with the original song by Daughtry (sadly, it's no longer available) but I found this cover and just had to do it again! The old version was suggested by a friend of mine and I was amazed at how well the song fits Toy Story, especially Woody.

As Andy says, he's brave and kind and smart, but the thing that makes Woody special is he'll never give up on you.

Ever. He'll be there for you no matter what.

That is...until Toy Story 4. I was heartbroken and annoyed that once again, just like Hidden World with Toothless, that Woody decided to abandon his family to be with Bo. No matter how young she is, Bonnie is out of character to just lose interest in Woody so fast like that when she promised Andy that she'd take very good care of him.

I'll admit I haven't watched TS4 in its entirety yet and I'm not sure I ever will (I didn't even see it in theaters) but I obviously needed to add it in here or else the video wouldn't really feel complete xD I was mostly just scanning through the movie and listening for VOs I could possibly put in. And the ones I picked...hurt my heart to hear Woody say those words about being useless. It's so out of character for him to just give up on Bonnie and his family like that. I hope I showed that clearly enough in this vid, which I guess could be considered a character study. On the other hand while making this, I realized just how...exhausted Woody was, even though he didn't really have a reason to be.

"You're right, Prospector, I can't stop Andy from growing up, but I wouldn't miss it for the world!"

So he decides to miss the rest of Bonnie's childhood??

But whether Woody was right or wrong to stay with Bo at the carnival, that's up to you to decide.

One last thing, TS4 is absolutely terrifying to edit with if you're like me and have a major fear of dummies, another reason I refuse to watch the movie. OMG like every other scene I would unintentionally pause on one of the dummies and try not to run from the screen xD

Anyway...remember this? Remember my cursed PS4?? these are all either really strange glitches or just weird occurrences on my PS4 Skyrim game I compiled in 2018 and finally decided to put together in a video to save them all, since I figured we could use a good laugh in these trying times.

I love open world games and when I heard Skyrim had horses and you could just ride around and explore on them, I was hooked. Then I started noticing all these weird things happening whenever I actually rode the horses, like the game couldn't handle it...the open water-sinkhole thing is my favorite one. It didn't even disappear and I was able to just hang around and "swim" in it until I had to restart the game to fix it.

I have NO CLUE wtf that spider was doing at the end. It was just walking along the road like a normal citizen, so I decided to follow. At least until it finally saw me and attacked. Now we know what spiders in the game do in their spare time before they see you, lol (couldn't resist adding that infamous HP voiceover by Ron)

If you actually want to see the real HTTYD vid you already know about because I told you, DON'T WORRY! The actual vid will be uploaded on your special day to make up for this because I already have it finished ;)

Waving Through a Window

Originally created for the MomoCon 2020 live AMV concert, but I'm not even sure if that's still going to happen so I thought I'd upload this here just in case. It's a bit similar to my other one "Home" in that there's a bunch of different fandoms, but I think I used more in this one.

So this is just me going slightly insane trying to find all those good window/glass/waving scenes, lol. There's just waaaaay too many good scenes to use just one film! Ironically, I chose to use this song before everything happened.

Fun fact: the very first scene that popped into my head was Darla from Finding Nemo for "tap, tap, tapping" on the glass xDDD

Oh and also, if Cars for "I've learned to slam on the brake" looks familiar, it's because I did the same thing in a MEP. I literally can't imagine anything else with those lyrics xD

Sonic the Hedgehog 2020 - Run Around AMV (Digimon)

I was never really a fan of Sonic, but I saw the movie a day before release on Thursday and actually ended up loving it, much to my surprise. I wasn't looking forward to it at all, especially with that...disturbing first design xD But I was impressed that the studio actually listened to the backlash and changed Sonic for the better.

Now the question is which video game movie did I like more: Sonic or Detective Pikachu? I think if you know me well enough you know the answer to that already, but I did really enjoy Sonic ;)

This was just a cute little vid I made a while ago. For the fun of it, I decided to enter it in a contest and much to my surprise, it actually won something. Thank you, Katsucon! Pichu is just too cute to handle in this episode, but the backstory with Kangaskhan is kind of heartbreaking (especially knowing that it's Ash's Pikachu) So I thought what better way to make it even more heartbreaking than by adding a song from Dumbo? Now that I think about it, Pichu's ears are kind of similar xD

I guess this counts as my first vid of the year since I removed the DP one. It would have obviously been targeted at kids, so what's the point of keeping it up? (I also got too nervous since DP was the reason I got my first strike, so I took it down before I could possibly get another one)

Anyway, I just watched Your Name for the first time fairly recently. It was kind of confusing to me, but I think I got most of the plot right. You know how time travel is, lol. But overall it made sense for the most part I liked it a lot!

I never thought I'd make an AMV with this movie OR song since I despise Frozen, but once I got the idea to use the scene when Taki and Mitsuha call each other for the "voice," it wouldn't leave me alone and I had to do it! But then it didn't feel right using the original, which would have forced me to use mostly Mitsuha for this when I wanted to do both her and Taki. Surprisingly, I actually found a duet and basically just winged it from there.

With the whole COPPA situation going on, I've been feeling like it's pointless (and a risk with the fines) to make videos now, but making this one reminded me why I enjoy editing so much and matching things together. I guess what I could do is mark my vids as "Not For Kids" when I first upload them so notifications will be sent, and then mark them as "For Kids" after a day or so. Seems like a good plan...I hope.

Me? Actually finish a video? What sorcery is this? xD With all of the COPPA stuff going on lately, I've been terrified to even have a channel here on YT with the fear of being fined for not marking my videos as "for kids" or "not for kids" the correct way. I also got ANOTHER strike that just went away a few days ago so I don't have it anymore (so relieved) At this point, I'm really considering moving off of YT somewhere else, but that's the problem. No other site CAN really compete with youtube. I did find one possibility, though I'm still not quite sure about it...the cool thing is that it uses one of the old YT layouts:

Basically, channels like mine with videos "made for kids" (even if kids aren't really your main audience) will lose all of our features like comments, subscriber notifications, live/premiere videos and more.

The law is already set and will go into effect on January 1st. I don't know what will happen to my channel then, but I do know I don't want to delete everything. I've tried. I just can't do it. It would be like throwing my entire life away...so I'm just going to make sure to mark all of my videos correctly as "for kids," even if that's not who my channel was meant to be specifically targeted towards. A pet peeve of mine is when animated films are called "kid movies." I prefer just animated film or family film, since they're meant for everyone!

So if comments on my videos are turned off by the time January 1st comes, it's not me. It's COPPA.

Wolf Children - Married Life

For the concept of this vid, I put down in the form that the beginning of Wolf Children has always reminded me a lot of the beginning in Up. The characters got to know each other and fall in love, and then one passed on...I thought the tone of this instrumental fit in well with Wolf Children since the two movies share a few similarities.

I had to have SMASH pick which category, because I wasn't sure if it should go in Fun or Drama and they picked Drama for me, lol xD

I know you wanted me to wait until the actual day for me to upload this, but it's kind of like tradition for me to upload your gifts a bit early, so here it is! xD

Okay, I've actually had this planned for a long time, ever since we found out what Dean was planning for the third movie with "There were dragons when I was a boy" and that Hiccup and Toothless might be separated. It's a very special song to me being from Pokemon and a certain episode, just like YOU!! ^^ Plus with Detective Pikachu coming out next month (yes, I just had to mention it, lol) I thought it would be perfect!

We've known each other since the first HTTYD came out, Cookiez. That's 9 years! Each day I'm grateful to have you in my life and call you my BEST friend, and I hope our friendship stays strong for another 9 years and beyond, wherever it may take us.
