Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors (4k XBONE X Enhanced)RickyC2024-10-13 | Otogi 2: Immortal Warriors (4k XBONE X Enhanced)Wiz n Liz (Amiga 500 longplay)RickyC2023-04-03 | I've had created a longplay of the Genesis and Mega Drive version a few years back but I've never gone through the Amiga version. As a kid this game looked incredible and I always wanted to play it.
From memory, for once I think the music in the genesis version was actually better, and it included a better intro and ending cutscene. But overall the gameplay is practically identical. In this game the time is the most important thing, and it helps a lot knowing the all the recipes. I couldn't imagine completing this game back in the day without a complete list and with save states.New Zealand Story Revolution (DS longplay)RickyC2023-03-24 | ...GameCube: Star Wars Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron II (gold medal playthrough)RickyC2022-07-15 | One of my favourite games from the console and showed the graphics power of the GC.
I run each of the main levels and aim for a gold medal. There is one level I repeat because getting gold with default gear is nearly impossible, one level I skip the cutscenes to get the time down in order to get the medal but I edit the scenes back in, and some levels I obtain the power up found on that level before repeating the stage to get the gold.
The main game ends less than half way through the video. The rest of it is taken up by endurance mode.Nintendo 64: The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time (100 skulltula run) part 2RickyC2021-10-14 | Replacement for my original Ocarina of Time longplay. The N64 version was recorded in high resolution mode which adds a taste of slowdown. There's quite a few changes between the versions and I probably prefer the PS1 version, even though a lot of levels in that version can be won by simply running through it. The N64 adds a much better map with location markers that stops randomly walking around maps trying to discover where you're meant to go.

There are a few differences between the versions apart from the HUD and graphics. The main ones being that in the checkpoint in one of the N64 races towards the ends has been moved to avoid having to reverse like in the ps1 ver, and in item hoarder levels if you bump into a car holding items in the n64 you instantly collect them while in the ps1 version they fly out everywhere.

Sadly the US version had sound bugs in my emulator so stuck with the 50fps EU version. Using this version I'd still get bugs, mainly that the forest level causes glitches to appear around the screen until you've finished the next matches.
I play through the campaign twice. First time on normal in where you're against 1 opponent, and second on the next difficulty up where you face 2 opponents each match. I use Aries and then Xena.Toki Remaster (PS4 longplay)RickyC2021-09-15 | Unlike the Switch version, the default difficulty is set to Normal. This seems slightly more difficult than the Arcade original as enemies take more hits. A really nice remake, but I wish they included the Amiga version soundtrack.Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Master mode) (Switch longplay Part 6)RickyC2020-10-09 | This is an 120 shrine run, including Trials of the Sword and The Champions’ Ballad. It's been awhile since I actually recorded this but the parts go as follows:
Part 1: The great plateau, Kakariko village and the missions to open the Labs Part 2: I focus on climbing the towers and unlocking the rest of the map Part 3: Trials of the Sword Part 4: The divine beats Part 5: The Champions’ Ballad Part 6: Finishes off the left over shrines and ending the story.
Throughout I farm arrows and dragon horns. I show myself teleporting to these locations, but I cut out the majority of the farm.Zelda: Breath of the Wild (Master mode) (The Champions’ Ballad) Part 5RickyC2020-10-09 | This is an 120 shrine run, including Trials of the Sword and The Champions’ Ballad. Here I play through the story a couple of times.Nickelodeon Party Blast (Xbox longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | This is just beyond terrible. I nearly gave up recording because some of the levels are difficult to beat while others require no skill whatso ever. I just go through the levels and move on when I lose. I come back to those levels afterwards. I used a code to unlock the last set of games.Streets of Rage 4 (PC longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | I did not think a sequel could work so well but I loved it.Friends: The One With all the Trivia (PC longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | I played the PS2 version last year and I've learnt nothing since. I just go through the single player modes a couple times. This game has a bunch of questions, and catch my PS2 one if you want more. The video sequences didn't record but due to this being the PC version I find all the video files in the install folder. I added the bonus scene interviews at the end of the video.SteamWorld Dig 2 (Switch longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | The scale of this game is far more vast than the original. I slightly prefered the more simple design of the original but the further I got in the more I started to enjoy what they were doing, the new abilites and the length. Especially when you upgrade the jet back. Unlike the original game's run, this is my first time playing so I'm not going that quickly.Death Duel (Genesis longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | 1v1 death duel game. The battles started easy but quickly became more difficult and fun. However each monster generally has a weakness, or at least parts you should be destroying, in order to defeat them.Final Zone (Genesis longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | great looking game, and very fun. It took me a while to understand why the weapons weren't always available to use but it seems to be linked to your health.Pit-Fighter (Master System longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | I had only played the Amiga version of Pit-fighter was expecting something similar, but here they've totally reworked the game which was for the best. The game runs very smoothly and I dont think the system could have handled the Amiga game. However the controls are very limited and the fights get quite reptitive.Master System: Taz in Escape from Mars (HD / 60fps)RickyC2020-07-23 | Another game I did not know was on the master system. This version is very clunky compared to the Genesis version but it pushes the MS quite a bit. I'm surprised it plays as good as it does.Target Earth (Genesis longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | Quite a fun shooter than I had never heard about. A lot of gun options and the controls are pretty tight.Mortal Kombat 3 (Master system longplay)RickyC2020-07-23 | I never knew this version existed. I really dont think it should have tbh.Jungle Strike (Amiga longplay)RickyC2020-05-09 | This is an old video I did years ago. The audio used to go out of sync and I think i've finally fixed it so uploading it here.Final Fantasy 7 Remake (Japanese audio) Part 3RickyC2020-05-05 | Part 3 Chapter 15: 00:17:34 Chapter 16: 00:58:06 Chapter 17: 03:40:08 Chapter 18: 06:07:23
I thought I'd replay the game with the Japanese audio for my second playthrough and I'd record it to add to Spazbos English version. After playing both I am suprirsed to much prefer the English for the most part.
For this longplay I just go through Normal mode, completing all the side quests with Madam M's line of quests in Chapter 9.
For the most part I love the gameplay, music and how they handled the story. At first I wasn't a fan of the changings but the more I've thought about it the more I've come to like the idea. I don't like the filler dungeons however, but the side quest's aren't bad. IMO chapter 9 is how you expand the FF7 OG game.
Another issue I had was the stealing mechanics. There would be times in this video my character is getting targeted because I have to hold out building my ATP bar until I get another unsuccessful steal. The materia system isn't as tight as the original. The game throws materia at you which level up very quickly. You generally don't have enough slots for how much is thrown. In the OG it felt very natural with the amount of slots that became available and how quickly it leveled up.
Overrall the remake is much better than I anticipated. I wish they kept the Aerith, Zack and Septhiroth english voice actors from CC though.Final Fantasy 7 Remake (Japanese audio) Part 2RickyC2020-05-05 | Part 2 Chapter 10: 02:18:48 Chapter 11: 03:05:43 Chapter 12: 04:16:05 Chapter 13: 05:29:24 Chapter 14: 06:46:30

This is just the story mode in MGS integral for PC. I forgot how I play.Sonic Blast (Master System longplay)RickyC2020-04-29 | This is in my running for the worst Sonic game i've had to play.SteamWorld Dig (Switch longplay)RickyC2020-04-27 | I wasn't expecting to have a blast with this game. I completed it then had to go back to record it. It's simple yet addicting, but maybe slightly too short.Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee (Xbox longplay)RickyC2020-04-24 | This is my first time playing this, but remembered looking at the early images of the GC version and thinking how amazing it looked. And I had fun playing here however little I did.
I started off with a basic melee match to learn the controls, then go into adventure mode. The default setting was on easy so I left it on that. It took a few rounds to understand my specials and learning to pick up buildings. The Blues Brothers (NES longplay)RickyC2020-04-19 | A cut down version of the blues brothers compared to the others versions. All the levels remain but there are less enemies and you can't attack from what I've gathered.Godzilla: Monsters of Monsters! (NES longplay)RickyC2020-04-19 | Quite fun action game. My only issue is that Mothra is much weaker in boss battles so I learnt just to clear through the levels with Godzilla and follow with Mothra. It took a few levels to understand how to use their special abilities.Panzer Dragoon Remake (Switch longplay)RickyC2020-04-04 | I've only ever played orta of the series, so it's probably a little unfair to compare with that more recent game but it's all I have to go on.
The most obvious thing I notice in the lag in almost all controls, whether its the buttons in the main menu or especially to rotate the camera around the dragon. That in itself seems to take half to a full second. Locking on was also very picky with having to go over enemies numerous times. I hear they have released an update for this lately so hopefully it will be improved soon.
Other than that this game is a blast and it's nice to experiene the original game with a new coat of paint, even if it is a short game.Puyo Puyo (Gameboy longplay)RickyC2019-08-05 | It took me a while to get used to this version. Playing without colours means you need a bit more thinking time to recognise the blobs. Still quite a alright port though.Super Puyo Puyo (SNES longplay)RickyC2019-08-05 | I played this after the genesis version. Seemed to have nicer graphics but both very similar.ToeJam & Earl III: Mission to Earth (Xbox longplay)RickyC2019-06-30 | So firstly I will apologise for how badly I play here. This is my first time I've put any real time into a ToeJam game and it took me far too long to understand the basics mechanics, so much that I did consider restarting the game. Due to not understanding how certain things worked I found the game to be quite difficult but eventually things started falling in place.
For instance the power up that required you to press the button inputs in time with the rhythm, to begin with I had no idea you could move while doing this. It made no sense to me at the time what use this powerup was if you had to hope bad guys would just walk close by to you.
Somehow I eventually got through the game and it's very enjoyable, and from what I see stays quite faithful to the genesis games. I cut out some parts of the video where I grind for money and keys towards the end.Sleepwalker - 100% comedy rating (Amiga 500 longplay)RickyC2019-06-12 | One of those frustrating games from my childhood that I cannot get out of my head. I was going to upload my original longplay to this account but thought It needed redoing to up it to 50fps and to hopefully play better.
Here I collect all the COMIC letters and obtain all the comedy scenes from the bonus levels. Some of which I've probably never gotten before because the time limit makes it incredibly difficult to obtain them all.Crimson Sea 2 (PS2 longplay)RickyC2019-06-05 | I never had the opportunity to play the sequal as it was only on PS2. From what I remember the reviews were quite positive and suggestng it exceeded the original in everyway. While still fun however I found it cut too much from the original. No longer can you unlock and choose you weapons, you're stuck with your rapid or power gun. The graphics took a dip which was to be expected and the amount and vartiety of monsters seems to have decreased. The story and cutscenes and lacking and every main character from the original seems to be missing or taking a backseat probably due to not wanting to get the same voice actors back.
It seemed from the start combos were a little difficult to maintain with the blade so I placed my exp in my rapid fire gun which seemed to work out. It ended up detroying most mobs while keeping my score high. Due to this the gameplay was quite shallow as I was pretty much just firing my gun and strafing the entire game.Puyo Puyo Tsuu (Genesis longplay)RickyC2019-06-05 | More puyo. It seems to look a bit nicer than the original, and now you're forced to block your enemy's attack (if they're attacking) if you get a line instead of going straight on the attack.Puyo Puyo (Genesis longplay)RickyC2019-06-05 | My first taste of puyo puyo was actually though Dr. Robotniks mean bean machine which is basically a reskin of this game. Still insanly fun, especially against a human.Nickelodeon GUTS (SNES longplay)RickyC2019-06-05 | ...Looney Tunes (Gameboy Color longplay)RickyC2019-06-05 | Pretty much just a quick collection of mini games. The graphics are pretty impressive for the GBC and the charactersl look how you want them to.Nickelodeon Drake & Josh (Gameboy Advance longplay)RickyC2019-06-05 | I've not watched much of the show but it's far from the worst GBA Nickelodeon show adaption. Graphics where nice, it had some interesting elements. One level glitched on me making it possible to walk through walls. I saw speed runs using this glitch but I have no idea how I did it.Rugrats Go Wild (Gameboy Advance longplay)RickyC2019-06-05 | Just another Nickelodeon Rugrats game I forced myself to get through. The graphics was nice and I liked the crossover elements but it got quite dull quickly.Grandia 2 (Dreamcast longplay) Part 3RickyC2019-05-25 | I remember this being one of my favourite battle systems in an RPG. It reminds me a bit like the FFX system but a bit more interesting. This time round however I felt the difficulty lacking greating. Most random monsters can be tackled by one decent area of effect spell but luckily due to there being no random encounters, monsters can be fought whenever you feel like. . The bosses though still remain quite interesting and for the most part pose somewhat of a challenge.Grandia 2 (Dreamcast longplay) Part 2RickyC2019-05-25 | I remember this being one of my favourite battle systems in an RPG.
