To do: Have a like like above ground, get in the bottom of the water as Zora Link. Get eaten!!! You can then move around inside the Like Like, until you kill it or it spits you out. At that point you will be stuck in place. The only good option is to kill it with your magic barrier by shallow water. After this, swim around until you roll upon hitting the surface.
Now you can move around by pressing B, as any form. By going down a slope, you can enter and explore underwater as any form. All items are available for use there (some behave oddly). It is important to note that after a few seconds underwater as a form other than Zora, a timer will pop up, preventing you from moving. At this point, just put on and take off the Zora Mask, and continue like normal.
Zora (or Link/Goron/FD) Hover is possible out of this same glitch, as well as using any item as a Zora during it. Any questions? Feel free to ask.

This run does not use SRM/TO (zeldaspeedruns.com/mm/srm/srm-primer), which would trivialize the challenge. I published the original 2 pause LOTAD on this date, 6 years ago. I've received many requests to remake this run (and wanted to myself) to both see how the route would change and to have a version with more bearable audio quality. With a more optimized route and gameplay, this version saves over 35 minutes. I consider this to be a great glitch showcase and a labor of love. This video shows just 10 clips out of a wide variety of possibilities opened up. The general idea is that while the text is up, you're put in this weird intermittent state where interacting with other text gives strange results (until the textbox is closed and all is right with the world again).
With this glitch, it's possible to get a bunch of dialogues that are normally impossible in this scenario (as shown several times in the video). Once the textbox is closed, everything will go back to normal. Some textboxes do nothing, while others have very strange effects. It seems like multiple choice dialogues are most likely to have odd side effects.
There is still much unknown about this and a lot of potential for crazy stuff to happen. If you have any questions on what's happening in the video, I'll be glad to answer!

After beating Great Bay Temple, the Great Bay map allows us to use Ice Arrows. With a weird shot, we can not only see Mikau under the surface, but also shoot an ice arrow to give him land. The rest is softlock history.
P.S. Don't forget, since Ice Arrows requires entering GBT, which requires Zora Mask, you'll have to dupe a bottle over Zora Mask for Mikau to appear again! (Prerequisite video: youtube.com/watch?v=QV5I-agFDaE)

The flowers trap you the same way as Like Likes do, so by dying right as you activate them, you'll gain control while maintaining this "Zora Hover" state. However, if you do this as human, you'll lose control once the plant damages you again. Goron, on the other hand, doesn't have this problem since the flowers won't try to hurt him. With this, we can do whatever we want with Zora Hover, in a brand new spot! ...except as soon as the flower explodes we lose this.
Clip 1: Shows a way to die right as you activate the flower as Goron. After reviving, I Goron Pound, then let go of A. As soon as Zora Hover wears off from the plant dying, the pound that I stored will release and I'll gain that stored height, even though I was uncurled.
Clip 2: Shows... Zora hovering. When the plant explodes, I just drop.
Clip 3: Shows what happens when you use hookshot in this state. You're stuck until the plant explodes and everything goes back to normal.
It would be super cool if someone was able to come up with a way to not have the plant reset the glitch.

"Endless Day" is a property you can get from Bottle Adventure (duping over hookshot). It makes it so that the day you're on never advances. A side effect of this, is that if this property is used on a file that starts from an owl, but doesn't load at an owl (starting a new cycle from somewhere that isn't Clock Tower, basically), the cycle starts at day 0 and doesn't advance to first day as the title card is supposed to make it do. This lets us stay permanently on 0th day, which can lead to a lot of fun things.
The reason we can carry over this property is because Endless Day is one of a few addresses that persist at the file select screen from file 2's owl save. So the concept is: get Endless Day on file 2, save at the owl, and load file 1.

To do this, kill the garo and escape the flames (I use Goron Missile to achieve this in the video, but hookshotting a tree should work as well). The Garo will keep respawning and try to congratulate you on killing him. This continues until you either look at him (he then congratulates you and leaves) or unload him by any means (entering new area or something similar). This might open some potential doors for new cool things to do, as we now can lock our position on the go. Excuse my fumbled explanation, but the idea is simple. Each scene has a series of flags to keep track of which events have already happened. Due to developer error, there's a few cases of separate events sharing the same switch: that is, activating one is equivalent to activating both.
Who knows what other scene flags might be shared? I encourage you to look out for them : )
